Yippee, Yippee !!
Joel has announced the winner of the world's first ever 48 Hour Blog-A-Thon.
And the winner is.... Me !! Wow, it must be true that diligence and hard work does pay off. I wasn't sure I would even be in the running for the prize, but due to some creative time trading at work, I was able to continue my posting efforts even at work. After that turn of events, I was determined to use toothpicks if necessary to keep my eyes open enough to see the keyboard and make my posts. I slept a grand total of 4 hours during the 48 hours the event was going on. Now it was all worth it.

I would like to thank Joel once again for his unlimited generosity. As a matter of fact, I'll do even better than that.... Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. :0}

We of the "Webinar Gang" have had a blast these past few weeks, prior to and subsequent to the DBB. Our next challenge is to come up with something to fill the void left by the conclusion of the DBB. We WILL still be hanging out in the Webinar Room, so make sure you come by anytime, and check to see what we're up to.

Our priority of the moment is to figure out a cure for the "Glitch Monster". Seems to be affecting some more than others, so we think we must optimize our PC's for the Webinar program. We'll figure it out eventually.

Back to the subject of this post...I have decided to follow Joel's lead, since I have gotten first, I feel obligated to now give. I will be making an announcement of my own in the near future, you won't want to miss it. I will be making the announcement exclusively in the Webinar Room, stay tuned !

Wow! Talk about none stop action. We worked almost 20 hours a day at the Birthday Bash...shooting photos, eating, drinking and learning. It was an amazing event.

One of the high points of my life was interviewing and videotaping Ted Nicholas. His answers to the In Search Of Heroes questions are inspiring. He is one of the most caring individuals I know. You know he is anxious to help each attendee achieve the success of their dreams.

By any and all accounts, Joel and Ted's Double Birthday Bash was a huge success. All of the feedback from those in attendance has been absolutely inspiring. Everyone left the event with a newfound sense of urgency to focus on getting their Internet Marketing plan to the next level.

Using all their newly discovered information dispensed by the world's foremost Marketing Experts, they are now armed with all the tools necessary to explode their efforts into the stratosphere. There will be more than one new Internet Millionaire as a result of their participation in this stellar event.

Each and every speaker at the Birthday Bash should be commended for their great presentation, and for the impact the information they dispensed will have on the attendees. There is no better indication of ones success than the success of those that have used your information and direction to achieve their dreams.

Congratulations to all who worked so diligently to create this life changing event.Your efforts will be rewarded for years to come.
Special consideration should be given to all those who assisted Joel in putting together the event. There were certainly many "unseen" faces working behind the scenes to make sure the Bash went off without a hitch, and to them we say "Thank You". On behalf of myself and "The Webinar Gang", I want to give a particularly large "Thank You" to Joel for his unlimited generosity in accomodating those of us who were unable to attend "The Bash" live, through the live feeds via the Webinar System. It was almost as good as being there, and we really had a blast interacting with some of those in attendance, especially Etienne Gibbs, (Go E !!). We would love to have had more interaction than we did to showcase the Webinar System for the audience, but enjoyed the experience nonetheless.

We can't wait to start putting the Webinar System through it's paces, and exposing it's full potential. We have brainstormed many possible applications of the technology, and are itching to bring them to reality.

Once again, Thank You to everyone who worked so hard to make "The Bash", such a pleasurable event, and we are anxiously awaiting the next opportunity to gather together and experience the fellowship and learning that makes a live seminar event such a unique format.

There is just so much that I personally got out of Joel's conference.

I have attended quite a few over the years. I think I attended my first Internet specific conference in 1998. But, I dare say that I have gotten more out of this conference than any other that I have ever attended. Let me say that this is not knock or put down on any other that I have attended. I have gotten great stuff from every one that I attended. It took all of those to prepare me for this one. Growing one conference at a time.

I think I can sum it up with something John Assaraf was talking about at 7:30 Sunday morning. Just maybe I was not ready 7 years ago to deal with what I was receiving mentally. Not 4 years ago, not last year. But, this year, for this particular conference I had strategies in mind to accomplish certain goals at this conference. Because I was ready, I manifested the things I wanted to get. Finally, I was ready to take my mind and my business to a new level.

I met so many wonderful people, some famous, some not so famous, but all were giving.

At this point, finically, I could not afford to pay $1,500 an hour for the consulting that I got from Joe Vitale. And that is assuming that he had time to add me to his schedule.

I am just starting my own radio show. I was able to deepen a relationship were I started as a prospect to Joel, and became a customer of the events MC. George Mckenzie, who has years as a radio host and knows how to combine that knowledge with traditional radio. So now, I have moved from customer to client to building on that relationship.

Ted Nicholas answered a few questions for me.

I am relaunching an affiliate program. And Rosalind Gardners book is one that , I won, and she was gracious enough to give me a few more minutes and allowed me to take a picture of her with her book.

Chuck Daniel, or moderator here, whom, I had never heard of before the webinars, was very giving of his time, after the diner, after the party, it was around 12 to 1am Monday morning, and he was grilling to me to help me come up with my big ticket plan.

There were even people who let me run my mouth. thought that I had a few valuable things to share. And back to Joe " Mr. Fire", Just him saying he liked the track / approach to an idea I was taking. Man, I was up till 3 am, thinking if Joe thinks its a good idea, Man, man, man.

And then there was Carl, a guy that lives just a few minutes from me, DC him in Maryland. We had to go 2,000 miles just to talk about getting together for a local lunch.

There was Alberto and Jennifer. They may be able to help me when I start to offer some of my services to the local Hispanic speaking market in DC.

I had diner with, Val, Robert, Big E, just talking, listening, learning, much fun. I must confess, I did more talking than listening. But, hey, they let me.

And, can't forget, I won a ton of prises. Over $500 worth. And that's great. But the real value is in the people I met.

Nothing happens when you stay at home.

I find so many great things happen for me and my business by attending as many events as I can make the time to attend. Not even because of the education itself... ...even more for the quality people with goals and passion I meet at the events.

My mantra has always been, "Nothing happens when you stay at home."

Now...

...I amend.

Because of the vision of Joel Christopher, the power of the webinar, the social "body blog" of the blog-o-sphere, and the other telecommuting technologies, we can "stay home" and still be a part of the action.

Here's a great story...

While Joel was speaking and called for case studies, I shared how last month Joel had me mail my list on the worse day of the week like he did. He was right, it ended up grossing us $14,473 in sales. (Half of that goes to affiliates which is the best part of my business).

Anyway, we did it again, we mailed today for our Creative Real Estate Investing Community and...while at the event, using the one technique of putting a phone number on your web pages and emails we learned from Brad Fallon, we just had a $4,800 day rather than just a $400 day. (Would have been our lowest day on average this year).

Wow, huh?

There’s been such a lot of great relations-building, ideas-generation, and gold mining, over these last two weeks, that overall it’s been a mind-blowing experience. Just a few words before the final close

This has been one of the most enlightening, gripping, and stimulating series of Marketing Seminars I have had the opportunity to be a part of. For me, it’s also been both rewarding and extremely challenging in many ways, I mean mentally, physically, and technologically, but worth every minute of the whole event. With the time-difference between where I am and the event location, and the challenge of the blogathon, it’s really been like a marathon brain-storming and writing exercise, with little or no sleep over the past 48 Hrs. but it’s been a memorable experience, with a great deal of learning and networking, through state-of-art technology.

I guess this would also be true of everyone else in this Webinar Room and participating in the Blogathon, but it was thoroughly enjoyable.

Ted continues from where he left off, with secret No. 27, after energizing the audience so they continue to remain fully charged and ready to absorb every little gold nugget of information. Cant go through it all, but here are a few more snippets from Ted’s presentation for those who may have missed something:
- use of two-step sales for lowest risk form of marketing
- getting the prospect to RAISE their hand
- make-up of a Sales Letter – the real work-horse, ALL the Dos and DONTs,
- 5 essential ingredients of a good letter
- being in one’s PEAK EMOTIONAL STATE when writing one’s Sales Letter
- practicing copywriting skills by writing it out BY HAND
- some of the biggest mistakes to avoid in the Sales Letter (about 20 tips)
- 5 phrases which can have change the response

and in conclusion Ted ended with a quote from HW Longfellow’s “The heights by Great Men reached and kept . . . . . . but they while their companions slept were toiling upwards in the night.” Hope I got that right.

The 48th Hour Arrives

I didn't think I could do it, but I got most of the posts in. I did have one little gap where I just passed out from fatique. But I got far more than I ever thought I could. I even made all the posts while I was at work for 8 hours, thanks to the generosity of my supervisor. I had about 2 minutes that he let me into the office each hour and I would bang out a quick post and get back to my work. I wasn't counting on that happening and didn't think I would have a chance at being one of the top 10, but things work themselves out if you believe strongly enough!
At least I'm pretty confident that I at least have a chance.
