I posted back in the day as "A Taste of Money" but was unable to keep the name when we all had to reregister.

and to clarify... the person who posted as The Funk Club WAS Liberty DeVitto... i know a lot of people doubted.. many knew it was him.... I had the pleasure of working with Liberty from 2000-2004.

Hey everyone, just wanted to thank you all for the good times over the last almost 5 years I've been here. I'm staying with a friend right now and the internet is just as slow as dial-up and I can't spent all night loading pages, so I"m just saying goodbye here.

Thanks to James for starting this website and keeping it going for so long.

Thanks to everyone for their encouragement and support with Ski Trip '06. That's the best memory I have in my life and you all are a part of it. Here's the link one last time. I think someone asked for the link after Shea, but I never got around to it.

There is obviously a very rich history here. And I think it's important for everyone to realize, that perhaps, this hits hardest for the man who ran the community all these years. I am deeply saddened, but with new forums out there being created, at least I won't lose contact with an amazing collection of individuals. I visited JoelFan so much over the years...not nearly enough as some of you old timers...but it was always part of my routine and part of my daily appreciation for Billy Joel's music. I loved this place. Thank you James, and thank you everybody. I have never been a part of a online community like this before. It has been most enjoyable for me during this time... and most importantly, the most irreplaceable. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I'm trying to take care of some of the requests that I saw on this board today. This is the London show from 1984 where he played Leave a Tender Moment Alone. Excellent quality (note in the sendspace file, I described it as London 1987 - it is actually 1984).

well when you have been a member of a site for 8 years and you see the same guy posting links over and over and over and over again and no matter how much you talked to the guy how much you tried to reason with the guy and how much you tried to barter with the guy he continues to post links you'd get a bit testy too.

I don't know what Dan's motives are for his links this time but this place is my home and I don't want to see it come to an end with a whole bunch of spam this site was and is better then that!

However I did Dan the favor by posting his site in the thread resources for all so his site is out there and so are everybody else's.

I would like to thank James for running this board for the past 10+ years now. I think I am one of the longer-running members over here (since 9. Didn't always post much (and I think back in the day I had a different screen name, don't really remember at this point), but certainly enjoyed making a daily stop on the board to see what was going on. Highly disappointed that a resolution could not be found here, seeing as how there are plenty of solutions out there (thanks again Judy). However, as someone in the software engineering world, I respect James's decision to move on after 10+ years of putting in the work necessary to keep this place afloat for this long. Thanks again.
