Scaring Deer In The Woods

Sunburned Eyeballs… this is truly GROSS.

One of my more popular YouTube videos has come about as a result of these 4 guys getting sunburned eyeballs on the glacier of Mt. Rainier. They didn’t wear proper glasses or goggles and all three had varying degrees of snowblindness. Because they were snowblind, viewers of this clip on YouTube love to comment that they’re stoned out of their minds. Watched from the perspective of all the comments, the video is pretty funny!

Torres Del Paines National Park – Trekking Tour

Torres Del Paines National Park is one of the most incredible natural wonders of the world. Located in the Chilean Patagonia, you’ll journey through valley after valley of gorgeous mile-high stone peaks on either side of you.

As you journey around the ‘W,’ (named due to the shape that the trail makes,) you’ll journey through several micro-ecologies and experience a lot of weather in one single day… go prepared!

If you’re lucky, you’ll get a view of the Towers of Paine, Cerro Paine Grande, and the rarely exposed ‘Paine Horns.’

Hiking in Chile is a sweet experience and pictures and photos don’t do it justice.

Patagonian Penguins – Seno Otway

Patagonian Penguins of Seno Otway are funny little creatures, and they love showmanship! Near Punta Arenas, Chile, the penguins of the Patagonian region at Seno Otway are worth a daytrip to see if you happen to be in the area.

Temples of Bangkok, Thailand – Video Tour

Some of the most amazing religious temples in the world are in metropolitan Bangkok. From releasing birds in front of the several story, “Big Buddha” (nickname for ‘Wat Indraviharn’), and the legendary temple of the reclining Buddha in Bangkok, Thailand. Reclining Buddha is home to more that 1000 Buddha images and is near Wat Arun and the Grand Palace. A traveler could spend several days traveling from temple to temple in Bangkok and still not see them all.

I highly recommend you go to several temples in addition to Wat Pho, the Emerald Buddha, and the Reclining Buddha, as some of the most amazing experiences are to be had off of the beaten, worn path.

Watch out for Tuk Tuk’s and the scams they’ll try and run on you. If a deal sounds too good to be true… it probably is!

Chiang Mai Thai Cooking Class

Taking a Thai cooking class was one of my more unexpectedly enjoyable travel experiences. For less than 25 dollars, we prepared 8 dishes for ourselves and spent a day doing everything from shopping in a Chiang Mai market to frying noodles and meats to scraping hot chile sauce off our tongues. Taking a cooking class in Chiang Mai is a rewarding experience. They can last from 1/2 a day to several weeks.

Very important hint: DO NOT handle hot chilis and use the bathroom without washing hands in between!!
