class="drop_cap">Pretty Link Pro makes linking with keywords easy. You can link every instance of a keyword on your website with the click of a button. Alternatively, you can just selectively link specific instances of keywords using a shortener. You can pass full link juice despite having a redirect by setting it to 301; and you can change the destination URL at any time. You can even use Pretty Link Pro to split test different web pages that you link to from keywords.

Using Pretty Link Pro

Step 1: Click Add New Link – Click “Add New Link” in the Pretty Link Pro panel to get started.

<img
class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-10197" title="1-Add-New-Link" src="http://johnfwagner.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/1-Add-New-Link.jpg" alt="Pretty Link Pro"width="212" height="261" />

Step 2: Set Your Target URL – Tell Pretty Link Pro where you want your URLs to go when people click on it.

<img
class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-10198" title="2-Target-URL" src="http://johnfwagner.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/2-Target-URL-e1329768539456.jpg" alt="Pretty Link Pro"width="640" height="127" />

Step 3: Set Redirection Type – The type of redirect you choose is very important for SEO purposes. If you’re pointing to a link that you want to help, you want to use a 301 redirect. Google considers 301 redirects very close to a direct link. The other redirect types, such as a cloak or 307 redirect pass between zero and partial link juice.

<img

Turn it on if you’re using scripts that require parameters.

Step 5: Keyword Linking – If you want to link each instance of a keyword to a link, input that keyword here. For example, if every time you say “Article Submission Directory” you want to link to your article submission product, just type “Article Submission Directory” into the keyword box.

Likewise, you can also choose to replace every instance of a specific Paste in your Pretty Link Pro link. You’ll still retain all of the Pretty Link Pro features using this linking method, like 301 redirects and the ability to change where the link’s pointing at any time.

<a

Just click the stats column next to any link to access its stats.

<a

Job seekers can go and search for jobs; but employers can also come and search for employees through their resumes.

Posting your resume here is free. class="drop_cap">Craigslist is the largest free classified ad system in the United States. Because it’s free for most employers to post jobs, Craigslist often gets much higher volume than paid websites. On the flipside, for the same reason, employers who aren’t as serious may put up job ads “just to test the waters” as it doesn’t cost them anything.

That said, when it comes to finding a job, volume matters. Getting in front of as many employers as possible is an important part of an employment strategy. It can provide that volume, with thousands of employers posting up ads every day.<span

For example, it might detect that you’re in “New York City” or “San Francisco,” but it can’t detect your exact neighborhood or location.

Select from the location sub-categories along the top to narrow your job search to something in your neighborhood.

<a

For example, if you’re in the “Food, Beverage & Hospitality” section but only want to see job openings for head chef positions and not waiter positions, then type in “chef” or “head chef.”

You can also choose whether or not you want to see telecommute, contract, internship, part time or non-profit employment opportunities.

Content is the foundation of the internet. It’s what will draw people to your website, what will bring them back to your website and it’s what will ultimately sell them on your products or services. It doesn’t matter what your business model is, you need content. So the first profitable thing you can do once you’ve identified your niche is to start creating content.

Make sure:

Your content serves a goal – what do you want to accomplish with each piece of content? Sell? Establish credibility? Motivate a click through to another article for more reading?

Provides value to your reader – value comes in many forms. You can educate your reader. You can help them solve a problem. You can help them improve themselves. You can also entertain them. There’s a lot of value to entertainment – it’s why we spend millions each year on movies, sporting events and shows.

Consider creating a content plan. Establish what you want to create; it can be audio, video, print or a combination. Also establish what the subject matter is for each piece of content. Plan the goal for each piece of content along with when you’ll publish it and how it will be created. Will you write it, outsource it or use PLR?

Profitable Step 2 Email Marketing - Once you have a bit of content on your website consider creating an email marketing strategy. Email marketing<img
class="alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-10067" style="margin: 2px;" title="email clients" src="http://johnfwagner.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/email-clients1-150x150.jpg" alt="money"width="150" height="150" /> is still one of the single best ways to make money online. Each subscriber is a qualified prospect. They’ve already expressed interest in your business, they’re ready to buy.

The first step to any email marketing campaign is to consider how you’re going to motivate subscribers to give you their email address. This is most often accomplished with ethical bribery. Give them something they want for free and deliver it via email. For example you might create a free report, how to video or ebook. Make sure the product is of the highest quality – your reputation is at stake here.

Then you can create an opt in form on your website or create a squeeze page. Once you have subscribers, create a consistent flow of valuable, and occasionally promotional, messages to send to them on a regular basis.

Profitable Step 3 Monetization - How are you going to make money on your site? Hopefully you thought a bit about this before you chose your niche. Possibilities include:

Selling advertising space or a PPC membership like AdSense.

Information marketing

Affiliate marketing

Membership marketing

Selling products

Selling services

You can also combine a number of these possibilities. For example, affiliate marketing and information marketing often go hand in hand.

Recommendations Niche Money Ideas

Having a great niche is only the first step to building a profitable online business. The next step is to take action towards profits. Create a goal, establish a plan to achieve that goal and implement it with confidence. Get your fresh new copy of my report “Okay, so most people don’t like “rules.” They’re meant to be broken, right? Well fight your rebellious streak and consider what’s at risk first. These rules are designed to help you start and grow a successful online business.

3 Rules For A Successful Niche

Before we get into the rules, I wanted to make you aware of my new report on Lucrative Market Domination which is now available as an instant download above in the feature box. You will be sorry if you miss this one.

Now for the 3 Rules:

Rule 1 : Choose A Niche That Is At Least Interesting To You – You hear a lot of people talk about how you must follow your passion. Passion is a great thing. However, it’s entirely likely that your passion or passions are already dominated online.

In which case what do you do? Give up? Certainly not. Instead, if there are no niches left that you feel “passionate” about, why not at least be interested in them?

There’s actually great power to an interest. It means you’ll be motivated to learn. You can share your new found knowledge with others and the process can be fun. The problem is that if you’re not at least interested in your niche topic it’s going to be darned difficult to get up each morning and grow your business.

It’s easy to think that the money will be motivation enough but few people are that money motivated. And your apathy toward your topic will likely come through in your content. Not a good way to sell or connect with your prospects.

Rule 2: Make Sure Your Topic Has At Least Some Competition – Generally, if there is absolutely no competition there’s a reason for it. It means there’s no money to be made. It’s not a profitable topic. Now there are of course varying degrees of profitability and varying degrees of competition.

If you have to compete with 100 other websites that may be okay if you’re patient and have a lot of time to devote to your website.

If you want immediate results and profits with only a few hours of work each week, choose a topic that has less competition.

Rule 3: Pay Attention to Your Audience – Your audience is the most important asset you have. Each visitor has the potential to become a customer. It is imperative that you pay attention to them. Track what they read, where they come from and what content they respond to. Use analytics and engage your visitors.

Ask questions, post surveys and questionnaires, connect with them on your blog, website and via social networking. As a niche marketer your audience is going to rely on you to provide them with value and information. Give them what they want and need and they’ll be with you for the long haul.

Conclusion For Rules Of Niche Marketing

So that’s it. Of course there are more rules, tips and guidelines to follow as a niche marketer but these three are extremely important. And as far as “rules” go these three aren’t too bad, right? Follow these rules and you’ll be well on you r way to niche marketing success.

I would love to receive your comments on this article or any article, so leave you comments below, please. One think more about rules forContent is the foundation of the internet. Without it, it’d be like a library without books. Not much point, right? So in order to make your mark on the internet and to draw people to your website you want to create content. There are many methods and strategies you can use to get the job done.

Create written content

Create video content

Create audio content

Create a mixture of the above.

You can also:

Create it yourself

Outsource some or all of it to a ghostwriter

Find guest writers

Use PLR

Use a combination of the above.

Regardless of what kind of content you create or how it is created you want to make sure your content:

Appeals to your audience

It will attract the search engines by using the keywords in your content that your prospects use when they search online

Offers value and benefit to your readers

Helps them connect with you and builds a following

Good content also motivates other website owners to link to your website from their website. It motivates people to share your content on their social networking and book marking sites. It also can go viral and become a huge way to attract an audience.

Build An Email List

Another valuable step to take to draw visitors to your website is to create an opt-in offer and grow an email list. Your opt in offer is simply a mechanism that motivates people to share their email address with you and sign up for your list.

The great thing about this tactic is that your offer will actually attract visitors to your website. For example, if you have a weight loss website you might give away an ebook on weight loss. You can promote this giveaway on social networking sites, industry forums and through PPC marketing. People will visit your site simply to access the ebook.

Other Ways To Attract Clients

Also explore other marketing and traffic generation tactics like partnerships, social networking and blogging. There are many ways to website or blog. Depending on your personality this can be a fun thing to do yourself or you may decide to outsource all or part of it. Regardless of how you approach it, there are a few important things to consider.

Things To Consider For Your Niche Website

Domain Name - Ideally, your domain name, aka your website address or URL, will have your primary keywords in it. For example, if your niche is used historical romance novels then your website address might be www.usedhistoricalromancenovels.com.

This automatically helps people find your website. It’s not uncommon for people to simply type in a URL that matches what they’re looking for and to see what shows up. This tactic also helps boost your page ranking or where you show up on the search results when someone is searching for your information.

If you cannot get a “.com” with your keywords in it look for other extension or combinations of keywords. You might also consider using dashes. For example, www.used-historical-romance-novels.com.

Your Platform - Do you want a blog, a website or both? This is no light decision. There are many pros and cons to each option. Many people choose to blog because WordPress is free, it’s easy to use and it’s easy to customize. Also, you can make it look like a website with landing pages, forms, and plug-ins.

That being said, you may want to start with a website and add a blog later. They can help support each other and each serves a unique purpose. Your decision is based on your goals, budget, niche, and vision for your business. For example, if you envision a community where you’re actively interacting with your prospects and readers then a blog is likely a better idea.

Your Structure, Navigation and Content - This is where many people get tripped up. You’re building a niche business which means that you’re intentionally targeting a specific group of people. The best way to target them is through keywords. Make sure to use keywords in the structure of your website.

For example, used historical novels might have a few article or content categories. Each category will be a different button on your website. The categories will be defined by keywords – generally also keywords with low supply and high demand. For example, WWII historical romance novels, regency romance novels etc…

Recommendations For Your First Website

Once you have your structure you can start creating content to support that structure and to appeal to your audience’s needs and interests. Creating your website is a fun time but don’t allow yourself to get sidetracked by the look of your site. The look of your Finding your ideal niche can be a lengthy process. Rest assured it is well worth the effort. When you find a niche topic you’re interested in that can generate profits your business building dreams will come true.

4 Steps To Finding Your Niche

Step One: Create a System to Organize

One of the problems that will quickly pop up is organization. As your brainstorming and researching you’re going to generate a lot of data and ideas. Tracking this information from the beginning will save you time and energy. Consider using:

Spreadsheets

Mind maps

Three ring binders

Notebooks

To keep track of all of your information. It really doesn’t matter what system you set up as long as it supports you and you’re able to use it consistently.

Step Two: Brainstorming

This is a step that you may come back to several times. Begin by creating four columns:

Things I’m passionate about – For example, maybe you absolutely love Belgian beer.

Things I’m interested in learning about – For example, maybe you want to learn more about writing romance novels.

Things I’m good at –For example, maybe you’re good at painting.

Thinks I know – For example, you may know a lot about grasshoppers. It

Don’t censor yourself. Write down everything that you can think of. Have fun with this step and take your time. Sometimes you may think of a great idea while you’re driving or in the shower. This may be a several day process. That’s okay.

Step Three: Brainstorming some more

Chances are that your initial brainstorming phase just touched on basic ideas. Painting for example. That’s not a niche. Painting cats might be a niche or water color painting flowers might be a niche. So now it’s time to further brainstorm each potential idea.

Step Four: Research

Once you have an exhaustive list of possibilities, and you may have 100 or more, it’s time to start the research phase. You’ll be using a keyword tool here like Google AdWords external or Wordtracker. Research each possibility based on supply, demand and profitability. You may also generate new niche ideas during this phase. For example if you type water color painting flowers you might get a list of keyword possibilities like water color painting flowers for beginners or books for water color painting flowers. Research these niche ideas too.

As you research each niche possibility you’re going to be throwing away most of them. Hopefully, a few ideas will have good potential. If not, and this happens often, you’ll need to back to step two and start the brainstorming process over.

Conclusions For Finding Your Ideal Niche

Finding a good niche can take time and patience. Trust the process and know that when you find your ideal niche everything will start to come together. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated and welcome so please leave them below. title="Why Niche Marketing?" href="http://johnfwagner.com/blog/9659/why-niche-marketing/" target="_blank">niche.

What Is A Mind Map?

A mind map is a free form structure that can be used as a planning tool. You can mind map on a piece of paper. Or you can use one of the many free and paid mind mapping tools found online or on mobile devices.

A mind map generally starts by placing a main idea in the center of the page. Then branches or sub ideas are created that stem from the main idea. The sub ideas can then have their own branches.

Why Mind Maps Work

Mind maps work because they allow you to use both your logical and creative thinking skills. The structure is loose and therefore you’re not boxed into any thinking pattern. It essentially makes it easier to think more freely.

How To Use Mind Map To Choose A Niche

Choose your format - The first step is to decide what type of mind map process you’re going to use. Paper and a pencil are one option. However, if you want to retain your map you might consider using a mind map software program or mobile device application.

The center space- If you’re just getting started with the niche finding process you might put the word “Niche” in the center of your map. If you already have a few general niche ideas you might place one of them in the center of your map. For example, if you are considering the topic of “Tea” you might put “tea” in the middle of your page.

Your first tier branches – Now the brainstorming process begins. If you’re starting your niche finding process you’ll begin brainstorming possibilities. For example, you might place “tea” on one new branch. Maybe you are interested in barefoot running so that would be another branch. Brainstorm based on things you know, like, want to know or are skilled in.

If you already have a few basic ideas then brainstorm those. For example if “tea” is in the center of your map your branches might include: green tea, growing tea, herbal tea, therapeutic tea, making your own tea and so on.

Second tier branches - Now you’re going to delve deeper into each niche idea or possibility. You may have ten or twenty second tier branches coming from any first tier idea. Your map may likely start to take on a very crazy appearance. That’s okay. That’s what the map is for.

Continuing with the tea example, your second tier branches from your green tea branch might be:

Health benefits of green tea, how to buy green tea, making your own green tea, visiting green tea farms, green tea diets and so on. Each one is now a very specific niche idea.

Conclusing For Find Your Niche Business

You can structure your niche mind mapping any way that suits you. You may decide to create a separate mind map for any niche idea you have and brainstorm that or you may decide that one multiple tier map is the best solution.

Mind maps can be difficult to read and print when they become too complicated.

Mind mapping is a wonderful way to explore the possibilities. Use it to brainstorm and find your ideal writing for your niche, which can be a bit of trial and error. That’s okay. Simply install analytics and pay attention to what draws people to website and what types of content they read. Then you can modify your content to fit their interests, needs and desires.

Niche Writing Content Tips

Your Voice – As a business owner you’ll likely establish your own voice. Your voice is your personality or the tone of your content. For example, you might have a very sarcastic sense of humor or you might be opinionated. Establishing a strong voice will likely put some people off of your content.

However, it’ll also attract others. It’s a bit of give and take. A voice does help brand your business and helps establish liking. Liking is a very important buying trigger. We buy from people and companies we like.

Audience Needs – What does your audience need? Articles don’t have to be limited to how to formats. Though this format is very popular and often very useful. You can also create lists, write reviews, publish opinion or editorial pieces or simply offer information. Pay attention to what you are writing is what your audience actually needs from you. And then give them what they need.

Formatting Your Content - You’ve probably already noticed that online content is formatted much differently than print content. Or at least it should be. It’s difficult to read large blocks of content online.

Additionally, because people are often in a hurry and they’re exposed to so much information on a daily basis, people tend to skim articles. They look for keywords and nuggets of information rather than reading an entire article. When writing your content formatting can help support their reading style.

Bullets, lists, subheadings and bold lettering all help guide your reader through your content. This article in fact is a good example of online formatting.

Niche Writing Conclusions

As you begin writing you will learn what your audience responds to soyou can formulate a more consistent content plan. In the beginning do your best based on the three suggestions listed above. Format for your reader. Try to offer value that fits your audience’s needs and establish your own voice.

Remember when niche Once you have your niche business up and running it’s time to turn your attention to growth tactics. Presumably you want to attract visitors and profits to your business. And that’s actually the first step to any new growth tactic. Decide what goal you want to achieve. What’s the purpose of the tactic? Let’s take a look at a few potential goals and some ideas to achieve them.

Grow Your Opt In List

One of the first things most successful business owners will advise is to focus on growing your subscriber email list. This list can provide profits for years to come. So how do you grow an opt in list?

Give something away – this is usually in the form of a download. It can be an ebook, a report, a how to video, an interview with an expert. You decide what your audience would value most.

Sweepstakes or contest – You can also hold a contest or a sweepstakes and collect email address, and permission to market to the email. For example, you might give away a free membership to a relevant site, a gift card, an electronic device or a magazine subscription.

PPC Advertising – PPC advertising is actually a great way to drive traffic to an opt-in form. Make sure you’re advertising your giveaway offer and not the subscription itself.

Make sure that you’re also connecting with the people on your email list. This is how you earn profits and grow your business. Send them valuable information and market products, services or information that they will appreciate and buy.

Increase Your Niche Business Traffic

In theory the more website traffic you have, the better. Certainly you want to reach as many people in your prospective audience as possible. Traffic can be increased in any number of ways. In addition to publishing content on your site consider:

Guest blogging

Print publication

Press releases

Article marketing

Social networking

Keep an eye on your analytics. You can then see which tactics are most effective in helping you reach your traffic goals.

Increase Profits, Everyone Want This One

Profits can be increased in any number of ways. The key is to choose a tactic that supports your existing business model and the needs of your audience. Consider:

Membership marketing – create and sell a monthly membership.

Partnerships – partner with another relevant company to create a product or promote each other’s products or services.

Information marketing – write a book, create a home study course or a video product and sell it to your audience. Make sure it solves a pressing problem your audience is struggling with.

Affiliate marketing – find a few companies you’re familiar with and respect and promote them for affiliate commissions.

It is strongly recommended that you choose one goal and tactic and put all your energy into making it successful. Too many people juggle multiple tactics at once and the results can be chaotic and underwhelming.

Conclusions For Niche Business Examples

Once a tactic is implemented successfully and achieving your desired results, then you can move onto the next business building goal. Do you have any favorite niche

3 Success Strategies You Need

Success Strategy 1 – Choose A Topic You’re Interested In

Of the 3 strategies, this one is probably the most important of all. You might think that you’ll have no problem creating a lasting and sustainable website on any topic as long as it generates profits. The truth is that if you aren’t at least interested in the topic at some point you’re going to start procrastinating. You’re not going to want to write or talk about your boring topic any more.

When this happens profits will plummet. And even before that happens it’ll take a lot of effort for you to create content that not only offers value but is interesting and your readers can connect to. So it’s in your best interest on many levels to choose a niche that you’re interested in.

Success Strategy 2 – Plan Your Business

So many marketers get into online business without a plan. The result is a disjointed business that doesn’t really generate any profits, traffic or interest. The first part of any plan is to establish a goal. What do you want to accomplish?

For each goal you then create a plan to achieve it. Try to focus on one goal at a time that way you give it your full and undivided attention. Once you have a plan in place, take action. Implement your plan and test and track your success.

Success Strategy 3 – Outsource

This is one of the hardest strategies to implement, since you think no one else can do it except you, and you a wrong about thath. Pay attention to the tasks that you’re not skilled in, dislike, take a ton of time or don’t generate direct profits. We’re talking about tasks like email, maybe website design and even content creation. Consider outsourcing these tasks. Chances are you can spend your time on other activities that generate a direct profit. The end result is a happier you and ultimately more profits.

A great example of a task to outsource is if you’re an affiliate marketer might be your article marketing efforts. Instead of spending your valuable time re-purposing your content and uploading it to article directories you can hire a virtual assistant to do that. Then you can spend your time writing content for your website, creating reports and other materials that help promote your affiliates and generate commissions.

Conclusion Your Final Strategies

Fnally, always make sure to put regular and focused attention on your content. class="drop_cap">Niche marketing is a hot topic amongst internet marketers, business coaches and business building experts. It’s strongly recommended online and in books as the way to succeed on line. However, even if you’ve read up on niche marketing, or if you’re new to the concept, you may likely have a few questions. Let’s see if we can help clear them up.

What Is A Niche Marketing, Anyway?

A niche is a smaller portion of a market. For example, books is a market. Used books is a smaller and targeted portion of that market. Used romance novels is an even tighter niche. You may also hear the term micro niche. Continuing with our example, a micro niche might be used romance novels from the 1980’s. Or used romantic suspense novels. A micro niche is an even tighter sub niche.

Why Niche Marketing?

Choosing a niche can help you:

Increase your profitability

Create a community of followers and fans

Establish a loyal group of customers

Reach your prospects faster because you have less competition

Build credibility and trust because you’re an expert on a specialized topic.

Help you build a strong and recognizable brand amongst your fans.

It’s also often easier to set up, grow and enjoy a niche business.

How Do You Define A Niche?

A niche can be based on or defined by any number of things. For example:

Demographics – the age, marital status, or sex of your audience are examples of demographics. For example, used romance novels for single men. That’s probably not a great selection but it’s a good example of one!

Region – you can define a niche based on a geographic location. For example, Southern used romance novels or used romance novels for Midwest readers.

Culture and/or religion – used Christian romance novels or used romance novels for Latin women.

Skills and abilities – a beginner’s guide to finding the best used romance novels. The word beginners is the key here.

As you can see there are many ways to define a niche. It doesn’t have to be defined by the product or service itself.

How Do I Choose a Niche?

To be honest, unless you stumble upon a one, finding an ideal one requires patience and diligence. It can take time to find a niche that:

Appeals to you

Has high demand – high enough to warrant a business website

Low supply – not too low. If no one is marketing to an audience it may mean that there’s no profit potential.

Profit potential – can you make money from this selection?

Start by brainstorming the possibilities. Get crazy with this step. Really challenge yourself to think about all of the potential niches for any idea that inspires you. Then research the idea using keyword research tools. You may have to go back to the drawing board several times. However the end result of your hard work and patience will pay you back kindly.

Conclusions Of Questions About Niche Marketing

I hope you enjoyed these thought provoking questions. Do you have some other questions? I would love to hear them, and try to provide you with answers. <a

Each one of them is an important consideration. The first three steps are: find a niche that appeals to you. Find a niche that has good demand, meaning that many people are looking for that information. And finally find a niche that doesn’t have too much supply or competition.

Once you find a few prospective niches that fit those considerations it’s time to evaluate them based on their profit potential. This is a subjective process because there are many different ways to monetize a niche and you likely have unique goals for your online business.

How Long To Establish A Niche Following?

The more people who know about your website and visit it the better. However, if you’re in a competitive niche then it’s likely going to take you a bit to get noticed both by the search engines and your prospects. That’s okay if you’re a patient sort. If you’re in the niche for the long haul and have lots of time each week to work on your website then a business with a bit of competition is fine. You can make it profitable eventually.

On the other hand if you are in a hurry you want to look for a profit potential niche that doesn’t have too much competition. It’ll take you less time to get noticed by your audience and the search engines. It’ll take you less time to start to profit. Faster isn’t always better, it just depends on your vision, available time and your goals.

Who Is The Audience?

This is important to consider. Some niches don’t lend themselves to high profits. For example if you’re marketing to a budget minded crowd then they’re not likely to buy expensive products and they may actually resent you selling them products. That doesn’t’ mean the niche isn’t profitable. You might monetize your site with advertising and affiliate memberships to coupon sites. It’s just important to think about whom your audience is and how you can monetize the site effectively before you decide on a niche.

Is Your Profit Potential A Trend?

If you’re looking at a trend it’s important to weight the longevity of the trend. Of course you can’t pull out your crystal ball and predict when the trend will fade away but you can weigh it into your decision. Many people make good money on trends. That’s because they were able to take quick action and capitalize on it. They also understood that profit potential of trends fade away and a long term business isn’t in the picture.

If you’re uncertain about the viability of a niche consider creating a fly catcher page for each profit potential niche. You’ll need to register a domain name and create a page for each niche. On that page you’ll put a sign up form on the page and offer a freebie product. You might also use PPC ads to drive traffic to that form. If a lot of people sign up for the information you know that the niche is a viable one with a profit potential. If you get very few if any visits and sign ups then you know the niche isn’t the right one for you.

Niche Profit Potential Is Yours

Use both your instincts and your resources to evaluate each potential niche based on its profit potential. Consider your audience, monetization opportunities, duration and competition. All of these factors determine your <a

In fact many successful marketers and business building services swear by the power of niche marketing. It’s true. Niche marketing does provide many business building benefits.

Niche Marketing Explained

Niche marketing is simply marketing to a specific, and very targeted, audience. For example, electronics is a very broad market. It includes televisions, stereos, computers and even handheld devices and gaming systems. Televisions are a niche within that broader market. Big screen televisions or handheld televisions would be an even tighter niche.

However, a niche doesn’t have to be defined by a product. You might sell electronics to college students. In this case the niche is based on a demographic. You might sell electronics to folks in Texas. Then the niche is geographic. You could also sell electronics to advanced buyers or beginning buyers. Then the niche would be based on the consumer’s knowledge level.

So what are the benefits of specializing or choosing a niche to market to? Why niche marketing?

Credibility and Authority

It’s easier to develop a reputation as an expert when you’re an expert on a specialized topic. Think about it. You could be an expert in electronics or an expert in gaming systems. The gaming systems expert is going to be perceived as having more credibility and authority because it is a specialized topic. Credibility and authority are both buying triggers. Meaning we buy from people we consider to be experts. This a huge advantage for niche marketing.

Traffic

Many marketers have learned the hard way. If your website doesn’t offer a solution to your visitor’s specific need then they don’t stay long and they don’t come back. It’s significantly easier to offer a benefit to a targeted audience. For example, a book on how to buy electronics isn’t going to have the same audience as a book on how to buy a big screen television. People just don’t seek solutions to broad problems. Their problems are specific. So what do your audience’s problems have to do with traffic?

When you are niche marketing it’s much easier to drive traffic to your website because people are searching online for solutions to a specific problem. They’re seeking specific information. It didn’t always work like that but with the volume of information available online searches are becoming more and more specific.

Identity, Brand, Voice and Community

Niche marketing makes it much easier to develop a loyal following. For example, if you have a blog devoted to helping aspiring gamers upgrade their systems with the latest and greatest technology you can develop a following. This following ultimately results in creating a loyal community of fans and prospective customers.

Conclusions Of Niche Marketing

You don’t have to marketing niche to be successful online. However, it is a significantly faster, easier and often more enjoyable type of business to own. It provides you with the opportunity to really get to know your audience and to provide them with unique value. <a

As more and more information is added to the vast collection already on the internet it becomes more difficult to reach an audience and make a mark. It’s also more difficult to make a profit. Using a micro niche can solve that problem. Instead of trying to appeal too many or even to niche, you can micro niche and appeal to a smaller segment of people.

What is a Micro Niche?

A micro niche is a very small segment of a larger market. Often the easiest way to explain something is to provide an example. Furniture is a market. Wooden furniture is a niche. Wooden dining room tables are another example of a niche.

Wooden dining room tables made from sustainable materials is a micro niche. Notice how the phrase becomes longer as it becomes narrower. The original keyword or market was one word. The micro niche is eight words.

Micro niches are effective because people no longer type one word searches into their search engine of choice. They know that if they type “Furniture” into Google they’re going to get several million results and most of them aren’t going to fit their needs. Instead, they type exactly what they’re looking for which is often a long phrase aka a long tail keyword phrase.

Using Micro Niches To Grow Your business

Many marketers use micro niches to create stand alone websites. They might target one or a handful of different micro niches and use them to make a living or generate an income. However, if you already have an online presence and a thriving website you might consider using micro niches to grow your business. Here’s how:

Research micro niches within your existing niche industry. For example, if you have a website on green tea you might find the following micro niches:

How does green tea benefit my health

Where is green tea grown?

Where do I find the healthiest green tea

Can I grow my own green tea?

Is Organic green tea better

Green tea oils

How can I make green tea taste better?

Green tea recipes

You’ll then evaluate the micro niches based on their supply, demand and profitability just like you would a niche.

Once you have a few micro niches that look profitable you can create mini-sites to support your overall green tea website. Each mini site can operate like a standalone site. However visitors can also link back to your main site and they can click through to a mini site from your main site. They’re linked together.

This helps you drive traffic to your mini sites because they’re targeting a much more targeted audience. And ultimately it leads traffic to your main site. You’re appealing to smaller audiences and still maintaining the same general niche and website. You can monetize each mini site through the same monetization options you have for a niche site. Namely:

Information marketing

Advertising

Affiliate marketing

Sell products

Sell services

Micro Niche Businesses Are Blooming Everywhere

By tapping into the micro niche concept and taking action you’re ensuring that your website grows, continues to appeal to an audience and that you can continue to profit by offering a targeted audience solutions, information and value. In short, niche marketing” thing down all of a sudden there is a new term on the lips of every internet marketer – micro niche. So is a niche enough? Do you need a micro niche? What does a micro niche offer and what exactly is it?

What is a Micro Niche?

A niche, as you may already know, is a specific segment of a market. For example coffee is a market. A niche of this market might be organic coffee. A micro niche is an even more specific and targeted segment. Continuing with the coffee example a micro niche might be organic coffee from Columbia.

Just like a niche a micro niche can be defined by:

Product or service type

Region

Demographic

Interest or skill level

Culture

Beliefs/religion

Socio economic status

And much more

Do You Need a Micro Niche to Succeed Online?

No. You don’t need a micro niche to succeed. People are choosing to micro niche because it offers a few unique benefits.

You can appeal to and offer value to an even more segmented market.

You can get page one Google ranking quickly because there’s very little competition for a micro niche

You can use several micro niches to support a niche. For example, you might have a website on the topic of organic coffee. You could then create several supplementary websites, each on a coffee micro niche. This tactic generates traffic to each micro niche and also ultimately to your primary niche site. You can of course also simply create micro niche sites.

It’s easier to become a credible expert on a micro niche.

It’s also likely easier to sell to your specific audience since you’re probably one of the very few who are offering a solution or value.

How do You Find a Micro Niche?

If you’re already online and marketing you may already be familiar with micro niches within your community. They’re often questions that come up from your customers and visitors. You can also use keyword research tools to find micro niches.

They’re generally long tail keyword phrases with high demand and relatively low supply. Finally, there are a few software products available that profess to help users find micro-niches.
