For the past several weeks, the City of San Francisco's Department of Public Works and the Police Department have been working together to spray down homeless people in the city's Tenderloin neighborhood. Water trucks usually go around between 3 and 4 in the morning, catching homeless people while they're asleep. After the sidewalks are sprayed down, there's nowhere dry in the neighborhood for homeless people to sleep.

Meet Joe he and his dog have lived on the streets for a couple years now.
This kid needs a break and a job.
He has made major life changes and will be successful.

Joe lives with his dog Baby on the streets of San Francisco.
Some citizens are afraid of his service dog and they shouldn't be she is a BABY.

Meet Joe's Dog Baby

Joe is a young kid who has many years left.
He has successfully beat an addiction to speed.
Thus the reason for sleeping on this end of town.Mostly non druggie homeless stay here.
The homeless crowd here is just not scandalous.
They still pass through.

Sapphire Lounge BOOZE and Bad Behavior in The Financial District

The Sapphire Lounge is Having more than one late night event a month.Last week they had Black Friday and had a very Classy and well behaved group of citizens.

Then the Sapphire lounge has a party on This Friday night the 3rd of December and they were having a FUN Party.The scene was loud but very respectful and just having fun.There was a group however that seemed to bring the party OUTSIDE and they became too loud and so rowdy that the police showed up.
The OUTSIDE crowd had become VERY LOUD and OBNOXIOUS at about 12:30 am and the Cops showed up shortly after to tell them To STOP.

I have seen quite a few drunks leave the Sapphire lounge wasted drunk and then proceeding to drive a car.The Crowd last Friday made A POINT to have designated drivers.I heard one guy arguing with someone telling him not to drive and the guy listened and they partied more.That is a real friend when you take the keys and wont give them back until their on MUNI or in a Cab.

There are many responsible drinkers out there.Most of them are and they have a Great Time in San Francisco's awesome nightlife.The sad reality is the IDIOTS STICK OUT they are Loud obnoxious and want to fight Anyone,anything and Everyone.

The Crowd didn't seem too wasted last Friday.They were normal just a few hooters and howlers that are funny.Very well behaved.Mostly because of the age discrepancies.
The way the troublesome youngsters behave it is a matter of Time before there will be an ACCIDENT.
One of the worse DUI violators I have ever seen are the OLDER Russians at the little restaurant on Commercial street and Leidsdorff leaving wasted on Vodka,VERY expensive Single Malt and Cognac twice a month on Friday or Saturday night.They drive very expensive cars like Mercedes ,Audi's and BMW's and are very wealthy so they get over.They get wasted and have drunken Karaoke for a couple hours.They are hilarious yet dangerous when they drive.So The Sapphire hardly has the worse DUI offenders.They have a few though!

Sapphire Lounge needs more Black Friday Crowds.They were GREAT.I talked with some of the promoters and they were upbeat and classy.I talked with quite a few that night and had a few Laughs.They liked the club it has nice acoustics.IT ROCKS.The Scene is Small yet INTENSE.That is what they wanted.The Intensity better not turn to DRAMA.This Club can become one of the Great Small Clubs if they KEEP the OUTSIDE SCENE in CHECK.

San Francisco's had an SRO Shortage for decades now.Since then a million empty promises have been made. The situation was supposed to be fixed BUT the politicians fed the citizens a huge amount of rhetoric and NO INEXPENSIVE HOUSING for Baby Boomers on Stipends.

Now Baby Boomers are dying in The streets and being taken away like TRASH QUICKLY before too may citizens notice.A Few Months ago Brian The Roller Derby Skater died.He wasn't far behind Lorraine.They were both in their late 60s I think Lorraine may have been in her 70s.She used to sit on Benches on Commercial and ITCH ITCH ITCH.She had hygiene and anger issues.She was Mentally ill and died without dignity.
She Too was Taken away like TRASH quickly.

He looks on Market Street and Sees the Hundreds of Recycling customers working hard to give them money.No Doubt Empire Liquors looks at this menagerie of Shopping carts and Makeshift conveyances pushed by a a motley crew that ranges from Old Asian Ladies to Frequent Flier Inebriates in a totally different way than the other merchants on Market street.

Recycling is NOT EASY.The Long walk UP THE HILL is TIRING.I know I have done it.I hated recycling and the Inebriates that operate the facility and the Frequents fliers that use the facility.NON PROFITS are supposed to help society not enable BOOZERS and Addicts.The Mere pittance is not much for Drugs but the payoff gives enough cash to purchases enough cheap ROT GUT BOOZE to do the trick.
There are no excuses for continuing to serve clients who urinates on themselves and passes out and ends up in ambulances for a visit to General Hospital or a DeTox on The Cities dime.The Money would be better spent to house the inebriates in an SRO permanently.The city would come out ahead.Just one more argument for subsidized housing .

Someone walked into Starbucks this morning and announced that his RV vehicle was stolen from Noriega street.He called DPW hoping to hear bad news there and found out it was even worse news than he thought.

Imagine that an entire RV stolen.He speculates that it may have been gone for as much as two days.He moves it when street cleaning happens and this time it was gone.

"Someone is probably cooking meth in it right now" he proclaims.

He may be right!

Who knows where the RV ended up.With a Recession in full gear it is not a surprise.Someone might have stolen it so they can have a home.A nice RV placed in the woods will never be suspect of being stolen unless someone checks.Once the RV is in place in some forested region of the state they will never see it again.

There may be TWEAKS cooking up a batch right now in Lake County.

The tweaks are scandalous and they will steal anything.I will never forget waiting for this one tweak one night for about twenty minutes.We thought he was doing something totally different and he came back with a Starter for a Car.I then realized the bastard had stolen the starter and i became pissed off.

This Lake county tweak acted like whats the big deal?You didn't expect me to BUY IT did you?

Storage for the Homeless Gives Mobility and The Ability to take Care of Business.

Imagine a community that meets the homeless half way and has storage especially designed to DOWNSIZE the Belongings that a homeless citizen carries.Either eliminate or reduce stigmas.

Don't laugh what seems absurd to some citizens is actually a good idea and would work.

Imagine a facility that gives up a small shopping cart in exchange for a STORE SHOPPING CART.
This simple Down size would help with the Stigma image to begin with and provide a smaller option to Carry sleeping gear.

Having a Meeting and exchange point can help to administer even more help if wanted.

There is no doubt that dealing with the stigma of being homeless is difficult.

Having to cart ones belongings around makes life that much harder and stigma filled.

Face it Society most of the Shelters are not fit for Humans.Most of the Homeless Baby Boomers are resigned to that fact.

So in the meantime.
The Homeless have a hard time ditching their GEAR and need help.

The time has come for San Francisco to provide storage for the homeless in a few districts.

Does San Francisco want to do something that makes sense and the Hell with the wild feral NIMBYS who WILL ARGUE about this if it is in their Neighborhood until they figure out that storage does have benefits that outweigh Apathy.

HELP these Citizens in Ditching the Stigma that feels like a Ball and Chain sometimes.You can only Imagine!

There is a way to have fewer homeless citizens carting stuff around in the tourist zones.Offer storage in these areas to hide the stigma.

Provide Storage for the Homeless who want to Take care of Business.The Facility can be called the Take care of Business Storage Facility and the Storage Periods will vary depending on the clients behavior.

Having to cart something around is not unlike a huge disability.

The mobility aspect is the same.Then some of the homeless have physical disabilities and storage can make their life less Physically Stressing.

The Storage Units do not have to be Fancy Like these Self storage Units.That would be cost prohibitive and STUPID.

The Idea I have is to use Cube Fencing storage.Keep it simple,safe and functional.The Fencing does not need to be that thick of a gauge with attendants.

Imagine a Group of Square pens in a Fenced in area with a sprinkler system for fires.With a carport type roof.Each one would have their own water proofing and be packed neatly.This is not for messy storage,Thus the open pen look.The messy stinky Fucks GOTTA GO!!

Arranging Washer and dryer Vouchers would be even better.

Each Client would go through the same scrutiny that the storage on Otis has.The scrutiny is for a reason.The clients who do not want to have the stuff searched through can pay for it themselves.The search would be for safety and sanitary reasons not because we want to be Assholes.

The Storage Units can all have their own locks and just keep track of the general type of Clients and BE PICKY.

This kind of supervised method would work,I would bet on it!!
The No Storage Items List will be enforced daily.Such s Flammables,Booze,Drugs,and just anything that would be deemed unsafe to store or would perish and stink. Kind of a No Brainer.

Once the client has the gear Stored they can take care of business.

The Storage Periods will be six months each.The Client can Drop off once Daily and Pick up Once.Exceptions to access again for medicine and sensitive items will be allowed when mistakes in Memory are occasionally made.

The Point is to Run a Tight Ship and Take NO SHIT and be respectful.

This Facility can be a great chance for Miracles and a way to introduce other services.

Many times when a homeless citizen has used a homeless shelter they find themselves stripped of all their sleeping gear and other belongings that do not fit in the shelter storage space if they have one at all.This discourages the homeless to ever go back.

Sometimes having Empathy can have the clients trusting more of the Other services.

During that period if the client has progress they are allowed to keep the Unit.The Longest stay should never exceed 18 months.

Society has stigmatized the Homeless into a corner.Imagine having to rid yourself of sleeping gear and clothes just to get around.

Then if DPW truck or a Janitor finds the GEAR it is Thrown away and A HUMAN BEING spends a Cold Ass night Grumbling at the entire world.There are no ways to get a Shelter space at a drop in so they are screwed if it is very cold.Do you think the DPW worker cares? They laugh as they toss the Personal belongings in the trash because many of them are power trippers who have never had any responsibility EVER and somebody who was NOBODY gave them a false sense of having some kind of authority over the homeless.The amount of thrown away goods would drop therefore the amount going to a landfill would drop too..

There can be a Benefit to the local stores who want shopping carts back and have been More than Patient.The stores can do well to help provide Small shopping carts that will be Required to use the storage Daily.This would be a Chance for a store to score a big Public relations Boon.Safeway could do well to provide small carts to help in The TRANSFER from one cart to a smaller one for sleeping Gear only.

Really Think about this idea.This can work!

The storage the city Provided on Otis was Useless.There needs to be one in East SOMA as well as West SOMA.Maybe the waterfront can have a Temporary solution until some smaller ideas are Hatched within the warehouse area by the freeways and Under freeways,There is a solution next to a parking lot maybe along the waterfront.I like that idea the best,The NIMBYS wont.

There is room for this storage in each district.The old ARGUMENT that this will attract the homeless is weak.The homeless are going to be their any way.Just in case you haven't noticed the Numbers are increasing again.Let the Unemployment run out and the ranks will increase quickly.

The Facility would also give a Cart for a shopping cart.

Then use the can and bottle assets to help the homeless not help line the pockets of an enabler,

The Habitat of so many workers and sailors Destroyed.

So the Visitors and Convention bureau ,the Chamber of commerce,the developers and the politicians can look great.They allow the development and ignored reality and only payed attention to NIMBYS and whiny Ass Wealthy citizens quality of life and the quality of life.The Quality of Life the Baby Boomers on stipends have is dreadful.

This was not the case in The 50s,60s and 70s and then something very greedy happened.

Skid Row is Much different.Skid row is CONTAINMENT ZONES.

Therefore the arguement can be made that Containment is a CHOICE that SOCIETY has made and the tenderloin and the sixth street corridor are WORLD CLASS containment zones.

I long for the Days when Skid Row was smaller and NORMAL instead of Skid Row on CRACK,SPEED ,HEROIN,Ecstasy and Steroids.

The SROs were a nice place to live then.HOME.

Some of These SRO Buildings are Diamonds in the Rough now.The SROs are suffering from years and Years of Neglect.They are screaming to be FIXED not destroyed.

IMAGINE the SOMA District BEFORE The Moscone Center,SFMOMA,The Metreon,Westfield shopping Center,The Hotels and The Widening of Market and BART.

The Wealthy and Upper middle class have made out and the poverty stricken Baby Boomers have shelters and SROs with Drugs Thugs and Bugs now.Some SROs are better than others now and the real nice ones Command as much as 350.00 to 420.oo a week.No Kidding!

That is if it has not Been converted back to a TOURIST HOTEL like the Spaulding did and try to act like an SRO still.
The Mosser Victorian on fourth used to be reasonable and respect locals.Now they have MOSTLY Tourists and the ONLY Permanent OLD TIME residents are a handful.
I miss Being able to afford the Mosser.
The Mosser is so Old San Francisco.
I was spoiled then!

The Seneca is a Hotel that THC manages through the Master Leasing Plan.

Many of these old Gems have Been Thrown to the wolves.

Urban Heroes like Jeff Webb have tried to keep a Live Web Cam on Sixth Street but THC has stopped that.I understand part of the reason Randy Shaw did this.The Other Tenants were screaming Lawsuit and Randy is an ATTORNEY.

To be fair THC has made a Commitment to the City to Master lease a Lions share of the Care not cash Hotels.This has left the long term residents in each Hotel hostage of the mayors wishes and witness to a MIRACLE.Yes a Miracle for the Few who did what they were supposed to do.
Care not cash worked for a few hard core homeless and it Changed their lives.

That is only for a Few,Not the 12,000 that Gavin Newsom Lied and said he Housed in SROs.

What SROs Gavin,in What City?
Where are these 12,000 imaginary SROs Gavin?
How about building 12,000 more SROs and then the City and the politicians will have GAME.

There was a Time when the Seneca had nicely painted rooms and the smell of Mold was not present.
The Seneca is now the scene of Ground Zero of The Drug war that is on The Sixth Street Corridor from hell.

The Citizens as well as many New Businesses are Hurting now during a SURGE in Drug Dealing that the Lab Scandal caused.

Many of the Drug Thugs think they can Deal Drugs forever with Impunity.

Without Harm Reduction sales of Cannabis there will never be an Interruption of the Supply and demand cycle that has run amok on the sixth street Lodging District and has held our SROs hostage for way too long.

The SROs can be so NICE!

These SRO were safe when I was a kid.Someone could Rely on a Room in The Sixth Lodging District then and The Tenderloin Too.The SROs were HOME.

The SRO shortage created some smaller SROs.
Some of the SROs are quite small because of Remodeling and Walling in.Even so this Room would look like a Castle to a Homeless citizen who has been on the streets for way too long.

The days of Flop Houses without Proper security and Doors and windows are Over.

The Flop house did serve a Purpose.The stigma associated with such arrangements plus the safety Factor lead to the Demise of ALL FLOPHOUSES.

The Flophouse may have had a Huge stigma But wouldn't you think that a shopping cart full of Belongings carries a stigma a Bit higher.

Soon after the Flophouses were Demolished!

Way Too many Boozers and Druggies ended up Homeless and The Remaining SRO Stock has to Fight to stay safe and Sane.

San Francisco does not Help the GOOD LANDLORDS keep the Bad Element out at all.

There are some damn nice Ex Pat Families that own some of these Buildings and many will tell you that ONE of The MAJOR reasons the Rent was Increased so Damn Much was the Cost of Evictions and Vandalism.

Eviction of a MISCREANT can Cost up to 10,000 dollars plus.

Then there is no Guarantee that they will be evicted.

The Eviction Clinics that Randy Shaw Runs is nice for the Real Cases that need help.

Most of the evictions are just Prolonging the inevitable.

Covenant law can solve many of The SRO issues if the City wants to Change the Law.

Sleeping is one function that all human Beings have in Common.
The Wealthy citizens take advantage of poverty stricken citizens and drive the price of rent up to an unreasonable price in comparison to other rents. Then many citizens on stipends simply can't afford to live there.Many of these wealthier citizens have come from other countries and have continued to flip SRO Buildings between themselves using micro loans.

San Francisco has citizens every day searching for their Basic Needs and a Place to sleep.Some are moved from place to place.

He would stand out in Front of the Meridian Hotel; on Battery and Clay and watch the Television without sound.That was what kept him grounded I believe.His reality must have been insane.

Holiday Thiefs Ruin The Christmas Spirit

No Sooner than the Embarcadero Center Sets up the ice rink and then turns on the Christmas lights the people show up.This Holiday attraction draws a crowd every year just for the Turning the lights on Ceremony.The Embarcadero Center Adores and Profits from the Attention.The Shops are not Cheap and with recession they hope to maintain a Steady Stream of spending customers.

The Bad part of this attraction is the Thieves that are attracted to the Embarcadero center every year.I am seeing the Same Thieves and wonder if there is Consequences for thievery in San Francisco because they seem to be stealing with Impunity.

These Thieves arrive and Boldly Look from car to car until they find an unknowing FOOL who left their Packages stacked on The seats and they break in the car quickly using an Old Spark Plug to break the window with Minimum Noise then they are gone with the goods quickly.

These Thieves are very Obvious when they go from car to car Looking in the windows.The thieves aren't looking for the fun of it.They have a Method and they waste no time.They are in and Out with a quickness with the GOODS.
Most of the thieves are not as nice as this thief who uses a slim and Jim and at least spares a window from being broken too.Most thieves leave vandalism too.

The Grinch has Competition every year at the Embarcadero Center.The Best thing to do is to park inside.The Inside parking is Guarded much better.

These Thieves count on Citizens getting in the spirit and letting their guard down.This has become a Yearly Pilgrimage in San Francisco for some of these Thieves who have been operating for way too long.They get locked up for a moment and released just to do the same damn thing every time.

That does not usually happen.The Cops Know it's not me.They would just let me sleep if they came across a break in near me.They ask me now and then if I have seen anything.Most of the time I don't see a Thing.The thieves are slick and quick.

Today However I did happen to see a crime as it Happened.In fact I had seen the dude hovering and wondered what he was up to and he hit a truck in the alley.There was a construction truck that left the back gate unlocked and that made it easy for the thief.The Thief also had a pair of work gloves on and that made him have the appearance that maybe he was working.I had my doubts. I Was Profiling if you are wondering!

How can the police do their job not profiling?
The Bosch Hammer drill is Huge so the Construction dude I gave a description to may just get the thief.The thief damn near had a ten minute head start.The best place to go is the Tenderloin and The seventh and market area.This is a Known area for thieves that have Goods to sell.The Open Flea market effect is shut down but the occasional salesman will appear with SUSPECT GOODS.
The Holiday brings the deals to the Tenderloin I suppose.The end of the month will also bring Desperation and the deals will be the best.There are a Group of older Asian Men around the 5th and Market area that will buy the goods.

Irvin Goodwins Emergency shelter for Veterans is an example of a Structured strict shelter with a waiting list.A WAITING LIST means they are doing something right!!

Irvin Goodwin was Homeless when he had the idea to open the shelter.

Imagine that a Homeless BLACK Veteran started one of the BEST SHELTERS in the entire shelter system.NO SHIT!!I was There in a VA Program with Him when Irvin had His Epiphany!

Gavin Newson can make some REAL CHANGES for the Good on the way Out.

His Rhetoric about Best Practices is a Great Idea as Long as It goes Beyond the Realm of being Just Rhetoric.

The best Practices Promise would have The City at least Checking Out what Irvin Goodwin does that is a SUCCESS.I know what it is!!

The Moment you walk in The door at Irvin Goodwin's they are supportive.They have access To a Job center and the disabled are Given Medical Treatment and LONG TERM Housing referrals.The stays are Not a Week at a Time.They are a Month at a Time.The Reviews are Monthly.The VET who sits on His Ass(They will be Criticized by peer groups believe me) will have a three months and then is shown the door if they do not want to be PRODUCTIVE and look for work or get on disability if you are Not able to work.The disabled have More time than the More able.It is FAIR.

San Francisco has nothing Close.There need to be a Happy Middle ground.The Closest thing is a Drug Program.Irvin Goodwins shelter is for VETS who stay clean and sober but Not a Program as Per say.The Place is a Peer Group Program (as per say) that uses 12 Step programs.The Vets who want to keep on Using and drinking do not stay long.They are Given a Couple relapses to get it right.The Veterans who relapse without being over toxic are given more time.The Toxic Clients are shown the door.They are Then given a Referral to another shelter on the grounds that is not clean and sober but has RULES.This Other shelter is still way better than any shelter in San Francisco.Irvin Goodwins shelter has Much More space and dignity.There are No Bunk Beds and Plenty of space between beds.It is similar to the Shared Hospital Beds. The location is an Old VA Hospital Ward.

Gavin Newsom Needs to go Down to Menlo Park and Check Out Irvins Shelter and Have one of His epiphanies,That will work as Long as San Francisco has a structured shelter soon that will help baby Boomers.The Shelter actually helps instead of Enabling addicts.Whatever works!

When I was Born Eisenhower was President and The Automobile was King.As Kids We Used MUNI to Go Most Places.
Parking was Not as Hard to find nor near as expensive in The City as it is Today.
Downtown San Francisco Looked much different.

There were no Cell Phones and Plenty of Pay Phones that cost a Dime(A Nickel in Some Phones Still).MUNI was 15 cents for Adults and A Nickel for a KId.The Cable Car was a NICKEL.

Common Courtesy wasn't dead yet and the Drug Scene was Totally different.

San Francisco did Not have a Run Down Section on Market Street.The Tenderloin was Safe.
The Sixth Street Corridor from Hell was Lined with Mom and Pop shops

The POINT IS the Area was safe and a destination for families.

Then The BART Big Dig Happened and The Area has never been the same since.Twenty Thousand SROs were Demolished in The SOMA around the same Period.

The SRO Was King in San Francisco in those days.The City had a Healthy supply of SROs and the working class had no problem finding a Home.

The SRO of those days were for the Most part decent places to live.

This was before the Crack epidemic,The Takeover of Ownership by Citizens who let the property go to hell for profit and The Planned Apathy by the Redevelopment Agency,Developers,NIMBYS and Politicians for The last Fifty years.
This has Me quite Upset especially since I find myself in need of one of the SRO rooms that are left.
There are no Clean Respectable SRO rooms left at a Reasonable price in AMERICA much less San Francisco.I do not want to be a Bigot when i say this but I feel the India Ex Patriates have Caused the Rent of the SRO Hotels to Rise Beyond what is reasonable.They did this by Flipping the Properties between them and Micro Financing.The Plan was BRILLIANT yet WRONG.The Monopoly that these Citizens enjoy Uncontested is Criminal at best.

The Sixth Street corridor from Hell was Just one of many Streets off of Market that enjoyed the Foot Traffic from the Theater District and they shopped.

The Mom and Pop stores did well.

The American Pie was as evenly divided as it ever was in USA History.

These Shops sold American Goods Manufactured in America.

This was before the Mass exodus of manufacturers.

Some of those Manufacturers were in San Francisco.

Homelessness was not an issue yet because there was a Healthy supply of SROs up Until the BIG DIG for BART.

These SROs rented for less than 100 dollars a Month in the 70s.
Seniors and Disabled on Stipends could Find Clean Homes.

Ever since the BIG DIG for BART and The Massive removal of SROs from the SOMA has let the CITY with a severe SRO shortage.

The Wealthy and Upper Middle class have done well and have many Upscale Places to Spend Money and Enjoy Life and the Poor and Poverty stricken have been Pushed out of the area and the severe SRO shortage has Created more Homeless.

This effects the quality of life for everyone.

The Sad Fact that 20,000 SROs were removed in The SOMA alone is the main Reason for so many homeless that have stipends but can't afford the rent.

The SRO Rents have increased 600 percent in Twenty Five years.

The Square footage rent for Many SROs are Higher than some Nice Offices.

The Out of Control Addicts have taken this area over.

The Good Old days in San Francisco had safe and sane rooms for a small amount of money.Now those rooms have had the Price inflated and they have not adjusted like the Other real estate.WHY?

He is Truly The Unknown Homeless Man at The Moment.

This Gentleman Slept in The Financial District for a Couple years and was Homeless Many Years before coming to the Financial District.

This Unknown Homeless Mans Dying ON The streets is a Perfect example of The Apathy in San Francisco for The Aged Homeless Citizens who have No Other Options but to sleep Outside.

The Shelters are dangerous and The Older Homeless WILL NOT USE THEM.

Mayor Gavin Newsom Speaks of Best Practices and I want To Believe he really means that.

The Shelters and SRO Policy are Far From "Best Practices".

That's Right Best Practices is For Automobiles,Green Technology and Technical Upgrades for Yuppies not The Baby Boomers who are Homeless.

San Francisco Needs to Have a Baby Boomers shelter with Enough Space,Ventilation,Windows,Safety,Storage,Goal Setting and Dignity.

The Cooperation has to come from the NIMBYS and At least One more Building Built or Leased

There will be Less Clients served at these Locations and that is one of the reasons Irvin's Method works.There is No Warehousing of Human Beings.

They Just Lack a Safe and Sane SRO that is CHEAP.

A Black Man about Thirty Years Old Parked in Front of the Starbucks Today at 425 Battery at about 7:30am.He Opened his doors and Played Loud Music from the Moment He arrived.When anyone Objected he was confrontational.The People just left him alone until he became too Irrational.

Come to Think of it,I Felt Much Safer In Solano County Jail when they had me Locked up for Cannabis Cultivation.I had My Own Room/Cell and It was Somewhat dignified.

They Classified the Clients and didn't make Human Beings sleep INCHES from each other.That's sad when my Experience at a Jail was safer than my experience at a shelter in San Francisco.To be Fair I am Referring to a Mans Place,A Shelter that is closed.The Current shelters are No better.

When the shelter has More space and real Beds and Linen it works.

1.The Un-Civil Shelters need to be CLIENT DOWNSIZED and Classification needs to Happen! When San Francisco Quits warehousing the clients will come.No Kidding!

2.The SRO Buildings that have been Taken over by Excessive drug activity need to be controlled and Changed or the SRO Supply will continue to Dwindle.

2.New Civil Low Rent SROs need to be Built for The Aging Baby Boomer Population.

The Safety Priorities need to be for ALL The Citizens in All the districts.

The Tenderloin has been a comtainment zone Too Long.The Time for SRO Housing OUT of the Tenderloin is Critical.Anything else is Cruel and Unusual Punishment of the POOR.
