I love it when I get to photograph laid back families that are all about having fun. The McCormick’s will soon have a new addition to their family. 7 months or so Aedan will have a new baby brother! On a side note, have you ever met a child with an old spirit? Aedan put me in shock! I didn't know whether to shake his hand, laugh, or smile. One of the most original lil personalities I have ever come across. We went to Union Station and somehow we beat the rain. The day turned into great photo opts outside. I wish nothing but the best for this young, beautiful family. Thank you for letting me document your memories!

So there was this wedding, at this one place, with these two crazy kids. And It was awesome.
Let me first say that if you ever have the chance to have a wedding at the Hawthorne House, do it. Natural Light is overwhelming and no other bride will share your day with photo opts. It's all about you!
Anthony and Jamie got married at The Hawthorne House right outside of Kansas City, MO. The weather was beautiful, rainbow was gorgeous, and everything came together for a really great wedding.

At my last family reunion one of my relatives gave my father this photograph as a gift. And of course it was handed to me to restore. This is my grandfather and his brother. An unknown person took this picture during the end of WWII in Germany. Rare meeting between two of the three triplets while fighting Nazis. Oh, my Grandfather was born a triplet. Very rare during the 20's. If pictures could talk.

Mississippi River flooding

The Mississippi River and tributaries continue to rise, reaching record crests, and the worst may still be to come. Portions of Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Arkansas are under water, with more to come. Pressure on levees led the Army Corps of Engineers to blow up a section below Cairo, Ill, inundating 130,000 acres of farmland while saving the town. As a bulge of river water makes its way downstream, levees are stressed and rivers that empty into the Mississippi have no outlet, backing up and flooding even more land. The bulge will reach the Delta later this month, and millions of acres are threatened. Here are some pictures from my old stomping ground in Memphis. Please pray for those affected.
