Chapters of Life

During our lives, we have different chapters, some overlap and others have firm beginnings and endings. We have to learn that no matter what we do, we can't change the past or alter the last minute of our lives. All we can do it try to make the next minute better. It isn't easy to live with mistakes, the best advice I can give is to take each day and try to imporve upon the last. Do little things that make your life better.

Try New Things

I was walking by and I saw a pair of Under Armour Shoes....At first, I thought the same guys who make shirts and hats are making shoes? I figured they were reaching...but I always loved the clothes so why not give the shoes a try. I was amazed. They were comfortable, and the weight was like nothing I ever felt before.
I'm glad I tried something new today, you never know what you'll find.

"Situation"

Mike has been pretty bad the past few weeks. I've been disappointed that instead of thinking of the group, he's been out for himself. When he goes out and can't get a lady friend, he starts trouble. I guess, I just expected more from him. I've eager to see how it ends and if there will be another episode. I'm eager to see if Angelina returns and how long she stays. In the end to be happy, Mike needs to worry about himself. He wants to lead the group but a leader doesn't ruin the night for all when theirs goes down.

Jersey Shore Update

Sam has realized that Ron is cheating on her all the time. She "left" him but there is some foreshadowing that she will be returning to him. She needs to find another guy that won't treat her like that. The problem is that she has low self esteem so she doesn't believe that she deserves better.
As for MVP, they detailed how they separated the hippo from her friend so that could all get with the girls. Their problem is that they treat girls like crap. In doing so they are never going to have a real relationship. Eventually, they are going to want to have a relationship, but they are going to be so emotionally immature, that they won't be able to handle an adult relationship.
Can't wait for the next week.

New IPHONE

The new IPHONE for all its signal problem is still a breakthrough. It allow two people to see each other on the phone. Think about the improvement to conversations when you can see the person you are talking to. You'll be able to read their face and expressions rather then just the tone of their voice. How many fights have couples had because of a tone of voice. I don't have an IPHONE yet so I guess I'll just have to listen carefully.

Jersey Shore

I figured since the Jersey Shore has been such a hit. I thought I would help them all.

Some advice for the group:
Sammi: Need to wake up and see that Ron is not good for you. He is merely using you as a door mat.
Snooki: You need to protect your friend and tell her the truth.
Paulie and Mike: The reason you take Ron out is secretly you are jealous that he might have a real relationship with Sammi. You both worry about being alone and so you want to ensure that always have your friend. It's pretty selfish.
Ron: You need to decide if you want to have a grown up relationship or be a child. A child will continue to use this poor girl and a grownup will decide if they want to stay with her or go.
Vin: Get tested, a night with Snooki is a dangerous night.
Angelina: You confessed to talking about everyone but you didn't mean it. You might have fooled the girls in their drunk state but you didn't fool anyone else. You need to stay true to yourself. If they don't except you then maybe their not the friends you want.

Moving up the ladder

Had a bad day

Its not easy to recover from a bad day but we can't let them ruin the next day as well. I know it isn't easy but remember to leave work at work. Some people have trouble separating the two. They take their issues out on their loved ones. It isn't fair or easy for them to handle. Try to keep the two separate, your family will thank you.

Changing Careers

In today's world, the average person will change jobs every 5 years. This is a huge difference from years past, where people stayed in one position for a lifetime. Its so important that if you are going to change jobs, don't burn bridges. Always try to leave people with a good impression of your work and your ability.
People want to see that you are going to give your all until the very end. Keep your eye on the prize and you'll never be let down.

Managing Change

Change is never easy. We get used to doing things a certain way and change forces us out of our comfort zone. Its important that we keep in mind that change can lead to great advances. If things never changed, we won't have any of the advances that we have come to enjoy. Helping people through change can be as easy as asking people to give it a chance.
When people fight change and the manager explain the benefit of the changes, it can be ineffective. The manager needs to coach people to ensure that the behavior they want occurs. At times, it means rolling up your sleeves and showing them our the change should look. Other times, it means watching your workers and correcting them until they learn what you expect.

Children's Shows

I have two small children and since it was raining outside. We cuddled and watched TV. We watched Phineas and Ferb. These two kids build various inventions all summer long. It was not as bad as I thought it would be. I just think the kids were able to see imagination being used. The rest of the day, they wanted to build various things. It was great to see the kids excited about doing things outside even when they can't go outside.

Flowers

If you ever need an idea to brighten someone's day, try flowers. They always make people smile. Maybe its the smell, maybe the sight of them, or maybe its the knowledge that someone went out of their way for them. People love flowers. People love to get them and it feels good to give them too. I'll be honest that I don't give them as much as I should but I know that my wife loves them and I do like to make her happy.
I just think if everyone went out of their way a little bit for someone else then this world would be a better place.
Try and brighten someone else's day.

Food Revolution

I, like many people, love food. I love to cook and eat. The problem is that Americans love to food that isn't good for us.
I recently watched Jaime Oliver's Food Revolution. It was a pretty good show. It went into detail on the ways we can improve our cooking.
We are all about saving time and money, well they go hand in hand. And what are we saving money for? If we don't eat right, then we'll just die early and we'll have saved all our lives for nothing. That would be awful.
I guess if you don't want to improve your eating habits, then don't bother investing in your 401K. They should go hand in hand as well.

Think about it, eating well is the right choice.
