I was lucky enough to meet Jacqueline & Jamison from working many weddings at the beautiful Merrimack Valley Golf Club. They are part of the wonderful staff at the venue and two of the nicest people you will ever meet. I was absolutely thrilled when they chose me to capture their wedding coming up in May 2015. I was equally excited to capture this beautiful engagement session for them! We shot at Rye Harbor State Park, which is seriously one of the most beautiful locations I have ever been to! Our session was blessed with the most beautiful sunset ever! I had such a blast and I cannot wait for their wedding! Check out some amazing samples below!

I'll never forget the first time that I had met Marybeth and Matthew... My old stomping grounds... aka Panera Bread! haha :) We instantly connected and I've been SO excited about their wedding ever since! They had such a magical day at The Commons 1854. This wedding was extra special to our company due to the fact that ALL of their vendors were from 617 Weddings. We had incredible entertainment by DJ Jimmie Espo, magical videography by Franco Valverde, attentive wedding coordination by Johanna Esposito and beautiful photography (if I may say so myself) by yours truly!

Amanda & Beau - Wachusett Village Inn

My clients rock! No! Seriously! They do! Amanda and I didn't end up meeting in person until the week before the wedding but as soon as we got done talking I was 100% looking forward to their big day! I arrived at the Wachusett Village Inn in the midst of all the action taking place in the girls suite. Hair getting done, makeup getting done and pretty much every bridesmaid trying to convince Amanda not to cry! (Including Amanda herself!) ... After venturing over to the guys room and watching many beer cans being stacked on top of each other it was time for the ceremony to begin. Amanda & Beau had a gorgeous ceremony on the open lawn just outside of the tent where the reception would take place later that evening. The ceremony was performed by Amanda's brother. Amazing job... I must say! After the first kiss we went right into the formals and had the most PERFECT lighting ever! I didn't want to stop shooting! The rest of the night went off without a hitch! Family members playing instruments, guests playing games and winning prizes, rainbows appearing over the tent and a great dance party to top it off! Amanda & Beau... Thank you for being so awesome to be around! I hope you LOVE these images!

Cassie & Ryan - The Barn at Gibbet Hill

When people work together as a team you'd be surprised by how smoothly a wedding day can be. That is exactly what this 617 Weddings couple wanted and it is exactly what they got! Cassie & Ryan got married on a beautiful spring day at The Barn at Gibbet Hill. I started the day early before Cassie & Ryan even arrived and was able to capture beyond beautiful flower arrangements by Designs by Sheila. The venue staff does such an amazing job and pretty much everything was set up for me to capture before I was even scheduled to start shooting! Love that! Their wedding featured a GORGEOUS indoor ceremony under beautiful chandeliers that The Barn at Gibbet Hill has to offer! Formals went off without a hitch even though we ended up doing most inside due to a passing rain shower. A little tip to couples planning their big day. If we sadly don't get a chance to work together, be sure to hire a professional who is capable and prepared to capture indoor formals if needed. Many photographers (not all!) depend on formals being outside and therefore are not skilled in on/off camera flash which is vital for indoor formals. The good news is that BOTH amazing options at 617 Weddings are capable and always prepared for those not so planned detours! After some amazing formals the reception was underway and the dance party ended up being epic! Thanks to ALWAYS amazing uplighting & entertainment by DJ Jimmie Espo of Move It Music DJ & Lighting. Katie & Matt - Engaged! - Downtown Portsmouth, NH

When Katie and Matt both told me to meet them at a bar in downtown Portsmouth, NH for their engagement shoot I immediately knew that this would be a fun night! They had booked me without meeting me so this would also be the first time that we would all meet. Always a little scary because you definitely want to hit it off with your photographer. Personality wise not emotionally haha! What a GREAT time we had! I don't think we stopped talking from the first image to their last kiss of the night right in the middle of downtown Portsmouth, NH with the street lamps sparkling in the background. Portsmouth, NH offers so many amazing scenes for any kind of portrait session. From the water to the bridges to the boats and ending in the middle of the square you really can't beat it. Plus there are plenty of places to eat when you are done! Matt is an officer in the Navy and I cannot thank him enough for his wonderful service. They will both be moving out of state in the coming weeks but will be back for their beautiful fall wedding in Maine at The Red Barn at Outlook Farm and I cannot wait! :) Here are some awesome samples from their engagement shoot just last week!

Anjuli & Bryan - The Commons 1854

I still remember the first time that I met Anjuli & Bryan. They were struggling with their current photographer and looked to be pretty overwhelmed at our initial meeting. They may have walked into our meeting overwhelmed but they walked out of our meeting with smiles on their faces knowing that their struggles were over and that their wedding day would be captured exactly how they had envisioned.

Fast forward to March 2014 and their wedding day had arrived. This lucky couple had their ceremony and reception at the beautiful Topsfield, MA wedding venue The Commons 1854 ... JohnLo Photography is a preferred vendor at this venue and it is truly one of our absolute favorite places to work. If you call it work that is :) We had a picture perfect day for a winter wedding. Fresh snow on the ground from a previous day but above average temperatures which allowed us to get outside for pretty much all of their formals! They started with a first look which is always one of my favorite things to photograph. Nothing beats watching a couple see each other for the first time with no one else around. All of the hard work and emotion that it took to make this day possible comes pouring out of them and I get to catch all of it. The rest of the day went off without a hitch due to the wonderful staff at The Commons 1854 lead by the one and only Johanna Eve of Boston Wedding Consultants. The formals were amazing. The onsite ceremony was perfect and the dance party was honestly one of the best I have ever seen thanks to DJ Jimmie Esposito of Move It Music DJ and Lighting. It's amazing how incredible a wedding can be when everyone works together. This amazing couple had their Photography, Videography, DJ, Lighting and Planning services all booked through 617 Weddings. A one stop shop for REAL companies with REAL passion! I had such an amazing time capturing this wedding and I cannot wait for them to see all of their images!
