Goodbye 2011!

Well another year has come and gone and what an amazing year it has been with over 65 incredible weddings! When 2011 first started I had no idea how I would get through it but now I’m sitting here wondering why it’s all over! Amazing friendships made, incredible moments captured forever and endless smiles put on clients faces. 2011 has taught me that I am here to stay and that I am a landmark in this business we call the “wedding industry”.

With that said 2012 looks to be another amazing year! With my bookings over 50% sold out already I am excited to “do it all over again!” Next year will also include a visit to St. John’s in the US Virgin Islands for an incredible destination wedding! Also we have received amazing news from The Knot a few weeks ago and I cannot wait to share it with you in early 2012. I got the email at dinner in Orlando, Florida when my wife and I were on vacation and it made her cry. So it must be good! haha.

I want to thank everyone for following this blog and supporting JohnLo Photography. Without you I wouldn’t be where I am today. It’s sad to say goodbye to 2011 but I welcome 2012 with open arms! Have yourself an incredible holiday season and party away safely into the new year. It wouldn’t be a photography blog without some pictures now would it? Are you ready for a ton of pictures?! I sure hope so! This was my first Cape Cod wedding of 2011 and it was so amazing that I just had to share a massive amount of pictures with you my dedicated blog followers. Lauren & Dan got married at the GORGEOUS New Seabury Country Club in Mashpee, MA aka Cape Cod! As an avid golfer it was hard enough to keep my car on the road leading up to the country club as the golf course just looked incredible. The happy couple had BEAUTIFUL weather on their most special day and we really spent a lot of time doing formal photographs to take advantage of that. For all you future brides the more time you allow for formals the better the result. This wedding included a breathtaking indoor ceremony, formals by the ocean and golf course and a party that would knock your socks off! Take your time enjoying each and every picture because I sure enjoyed my time taking them! :)

Maeghan & Mark

The only thing that could be better than a Boston wedding on a beautiful sunny day would be a Boston wedding on the top floor of a hotel in Beacon Hill on a beautiful sunny day! Maeghan & Mark are both such wonderful people and that shined through on their most special day! The ceremony and reception both took place at the Holiday Inn in Boston. I started the day with Maeghan in her hotel suite and ended the day on the dance floor of a gorgeous ballroom way up in the clouds :) Maeghan & Mark both live right next to the venue and we were able to get some super awesome photographs on their street and neighborhood. The hotel staff was incredible to work with and I met some really great people that I hope to see again in the near future! Time to pack my bags and head to UK to photograph the Royal Wedding! JK! A photographer can dream can't he? I will be watching it though! Enjoy...

What is not to love about the Hawthorne Hotel? It's one of my favorite places to shoot at! Beautiful location right in the middle of historic Salem, MA and on top of that some of the best wedding staff I've come across! Colleen and William got married on a GORGEOUS and sunny March day. The day began upstairs in one of the hotels fantastic bridal suites and ended in the beautiful ballroom down below with rocking live music from the band Groove Authority (which I highly recommend if you are in the market for a live wedding band!) It was such a fantastic time working with Colleen & William. I am excited for them to see this blog post! Actually I just dropped their CDs in the mail :) Don't you love those fast off season turnaround times?! Wedding season is starting to heat up and this blog will be rocking sooner than you can say "I do!" :) Enjoy!

Jenn & Tim - Engaged!

This could possibly be one of the most fun shoots I've ever done! Jenn & Tim are two of the nicest people you will ever meet! They recently built a new house far away (haha!) in the western area of Massachusetts and I was determined to make the long trip out just to see it!

Boy! was it worth it! 22 acres of land covered in beautiful trees, snow and thankfully walkable paths! I spent a few hours at their property pretty much shooting in every section of it. Jealous of it? Of course! :P I ended up with some really special photographs capturing the couple in their natural environment which I love. I cannot wait for their wedding in October! Thanks so much for being awesome! Enjoy :)

Introducing Wyatt!

Newborn shoots are such a change of pace for me but I just love doing them! I had the pleasure of shooting Eileen's wedding back in October of 2009 and I couldn't wait to shoot her newborn pictures once I heard she was expecting a new addition to the family! Wyatt could possibly be the most well behaved and cutest baby on the planet! As you can see by his sparkling blue eyes it's obvious that he is going to grow up to be quite the charmer! Enjoy... :)
