Our holiday experience at Gran Melia Resort Tenerife, Palacio De Isora

This summer has been one of the most eventful time of my family's life and if you have been following me for a long time then you'll know why. In the meantime, I'd like to share my review of the 5 star hotel, Gran Melia Resort Palacio De Isora in Tenerife.

I know this review is super late since my staycation in this hotel was almost a year ago but because my family have no plans on going on holiday this year (click to find out why), so I've decided to rewind back time and share with you a blog series of my holiday experiences last year.
I'd like to start by sharing a post of my family's holiday experience at the 5 star luxury Gran Melia Resort. As most of you know, it is a luxury 5 star hotel which makes it expensive but is it worth it?? I will be sharing my opinion and something even better which is a Youtube video of my stay in this hotel. This video includes a tour of our room, video footage of what the hotel looks like, the meals we had and finally you'll be able to pretty much find out from the video wether my family has had the best time in this hotel or not.

On our first day and upon entering the hotel, we were immediately impressed by the hotel surroundings and luxurious vibe of the premises.

Also the staff were kind enough to offer my family a non alcoholic sweet beverage served in a champagne glass which I loved! The weather was so warm that I got excited with any drink I could get hold of, the beverage was drank within minutes. I couldn't help but admire the hotel premises and was keen in exploring the hotel.

After lunch at the Oasis restaurant, we were then escorted by the staff to our room. Our room had everything a 5 star hotel room would usually have and it is definitely a lot better than a 3 star hotel room. Although I must say that I have stayed in other luxury hotels with a much impressive and grand decor. The room tour can be viewed down below in my Youtube video. The lunch my daughter had at the Oasis restaurant, for how much it cost, was honestly nothing special but my daughter enjoyed every bite. Just bare in mind that this is a 5 star luxury hotel so the food will be a lot pricier than other lower star hotels.

My favourite part of the hotel was the pools, they had quite a few, probably 4 or more including an infinity pool!

It was beautiful, I must have taken several selfies in this pool.

There were also pool beds with a roof which can be rented 80 euros for the entire day,

this includes a couple of treats which you can choose from a list they provide you. My daughter chose a box of kids snacks,

including fruits and I chose a bottle of wine.

The staff was super lovely enough to also offer a complimentary plate of fruits which I absolutely loved. Aaah life was bliss just sitting by the pool with a glass of wine, very relaxing.

The hotel including the pools weren't crowded with people either which made it a more pleasant holiday experience.

Later that evening, we went to a fun kids show organised by the hotel for families and it was free!

It was such a fun treat to my daughter, she loved it and made quite a few friends in there. On our second day she won one of the games and was asked to go on stage to receive the certificate, she enjoyed every minute!

This was definitely one of the highlights of our time in Gran Melia.

The breakfast buffet was HUGE, although the Atlantis the Palm hotel in Dubai has a much bigger variety. In comparison, Gran Melia resort comes second as one of the best breakfast buffet I've ever gone to. Nope, I don't usually eat breakfast but that morning a year ago, I drooled so bad over some of the healthy delicious dishes and ended up eating 2 plates of food! My tummy felt soo heavy afterwards and kinda regretted stuffing myself up to a point I felt uncomfortably full. Lesson learnt, I am now likely to choose a lunch buffet over breakfast buffet because late lunch is usually the time extreme hunger kicks in, that it doesn't matter how many plates I eat. Anyhow, we opted out of the lunch buffet at Gran Melia resort because it was 60 euros each, we could have gotten it with our booking for free, instead we chose breakfast buffet over lunch buffet! Big mistake, as delicious as the breakfast buffet is, I feel my family could have probably enjoyed the lunch buffet more. In the evening, we treated ourselves to a seafood meal at one of the fancy hotel restaurants. Oh goodness, the meal cost us 100 euros!

It was delicious but nothing special, I have eaten better seafood meals from Malaga Spain for 15 euros! Even though food was expensive, I feel it's the facilities,

the surroundings,

the view

and the fun family show that makes up for it and made my family's stay so much more pleasant.

The hotel is probably a 30 minute (or more) drive from the main town of Tenerife. It isn't walking distance to Playas Las Americas where most of the young party goers go so just bare that in mind. If you are travelling to Tenerife to experience the nightlife then this hotel may not be convenient unless you don't mind paying cab money. However, as a family, we did not mind this at all, specially after having spent a couple of days in Playas Las Americas which was fun. We spent our days there, exploring the Aqualand Tenerife which was only a few minutes drive from our hotel. After a hectic and eventful couple of days in Playas De Las Americas with my family, we were pretty much done and were ready to chill and relax by the pool. This is exactly what we have done in Gran Melia Palacio De Isora in Tenerife, a holiday I will always remember!

My day at Jo Malone

Here is a little post sharing with you, fabulous beauties, my day at the Jo Malone shop. This brand, in my opinion, makes the best scent and I can honestly say that I am obsessed. From the fancy decor, to the heavenly scents and the quality packaging. Did I mention that I was also offered a glass of sparkling wine?

Ofcourse I happily accepted. I haven't even sat down yet and I felt super spoilt already. Jo Malone staff sure knows how to charm their customers! Upon entering the shop, I was of course greeted with a lovely smile by the staff and was kindly asked to go through their scents and choose which ones are my fave.

This was heavenly and I loved almost every scent, apart from a couple of scents which kinda reminds me of herbs. Whereas, my faves are the Peony blush and the Pomegranate Noir. There were several which I adored but I must say that these two are definitely my fave. There's something about these scents that is so special. Some reminds me of opulence, others reminded me of nature and quite a few has very subtle hints of masculine vibes without being overpoweringly sweet. I am not an expert with scents so it is kinda hard to describe, for sure it was a very pleasant experience! However, it's the purchase price I have to consider. We all know that Jo Malone perfumes are not cheap in any way and if you are on a budget then steer clear because it'll be hard to resist. Having said that I still managed to walk away from the boutique without having spent a penny, but I sure am still lusting over the Jo Malone's scents. Anyhow, after having chosen the scents, we were then asked to take a seat and was given a very gentle hand massage. It lasted for 10 to 15 minutes, I wasn't sure how long my time in the shop lasted as I was having fun chatting away with the Jo Malone staff. They sure are lovely! My gentle massage started with a hand and lower arm wash, then a gentle scrub and it ended with a moisturiser.

Each product applied on my skin smelt absolutely divine, thank goodness I had my purse on a leash that day otherwise I would have probably bought everything. Yes the scents are insanely amazing but it is a purchase I prefer to make on that special occasion or as a gift for that special someone. To end my time at the Jo Malone shop, I was also offered a mini moisturiser sample which was lovely, of course I gladly accepted. Altogether, it was a pleasant experience and have left me lusting for a few scents from Jo Malone, I now know what I'd be purchasing as a treat or gift for someone on special occasions. Budgeting and shopping in Primark

Primark is literally slaying the fashion market at the moment and I’ve been seeing quite a lot of my fave bloggers share Primark haul videos which includes Zoella.

Indeed, I am not the only one loving Primark at the moment. Here is my very own Primark and Prettlylittlething try on haul video, which is embedded in this blog post down below.

it is obvious that several of us have been super into Primark lately. Everytime I visit the shop, I struggle finding my size because it's always sold out and often I opt to purchasing a size bigger or a size smaller. However, this did not deter me at all from purchasing since the price is super affordable.

We all know that in this day and age, fashion trends are constantly changing and not everyone’s wallet can keep up when it comes to joining the fashion trend.

As an aspiring fashion and makeup blogger, ofcourse I have to try and post trendy pieces in my blog and Instagram.

It hasn’t been easy considering I have a small budget when it comes to purchasing fashion pieces so thank God for Primarks! This shop is a fashion heaven for ladies like me who would like to keep up with the trend without breaking the bank.

Having said that, I still love shopping from other high end and mid range brands such as Kurt Geiger London. Louis Vuitton and Prada are also my fave luxury brands,

I could have probably purchased more handbags from these brands, instead I chose to be wiser with money. Yes for most of us, including me, it’s often wants against needs,

realistically necessities should always win, but for some, luxury is more important. Nonetheless, me and my family has definitely changed our spending habits for the last couple of years. We have been budgeting and have been extremely frugal with money.

Ok so I am exaggerating, hubby did purchase a couple of designer branded shoes for my daughter. Its too cute and they were on sale!

and a 2017 Mac book pro this year. I kinda needed it to pursue blogging with the hopes of turning my passion into a career.

Regardless, for the last couple of years, I’d like to say that my family have definitely been better with budgeting. It has been a huge improvement compared to several years before.

We used to dine out in fancy restaurants,

go shopping all the time and purchase extravagant gifts for each other. Fast forward to now and as a result of budgeting and being frugal

we then have finally managed to purchase our very first home in South East of England. It hasn’t been an easy journey but definitely the most fulfilling because my family is now finally free from the burden of renting.

Stay tuned for more future posts on this subject! I'd like to say that Primark is definitely a place I would recommend for ladies and families on a budget.

Kids t shirts cost £1.30 each! Makeup brushes starts from £2 and makeup starts from £1!

It may not be a luxury glamourous brand but atleast we can save a few bucks and budget for things that are more important,

besides pennies saved all adds up after awhile and before you know it, you’ll have enough saved up for things that truly matters.

My 5 Summer Essentials

Summer is my favourite season simply because I love warm weather and sunshine.

I prefer to also dress up and be a bit more trendy during the hot summer days. You see, its a lot easier to appreciate the fabrics and clothing style when you can actually see the entire outfit.

Whereas during the cold season I much prefer to cover up, layer my clothes until I feel and look almost like a bear.

Hence, summer is definitely the only season I feel light and free from chunky jumpers and jackets. Ofcourse summer wouldn’t be complete without family fun days in the sun

!

It really is so much better to go out when the weather is warm with lots of sunshine.

Here are 5 summer essentials that I could not do without during the summer season. These things efinitely enables me and my family to make the most of summer, without experiencing too much discomfort that comes with too much sunshine.

Bottle of water. Yes we have to stay hydrated at all times even during the cold season whereas in the summer season we need to drink twice as more water specially if you are doing physical activities. First of all, we sweat more in the hot summer days which means we are likely to get dehydrated unless we drink more water. I literally carry a big bottle with me everywhere I go and my daughter prefers drinking water than sugary drinks. I feel that a bottle of water is definitely the best and the healthiest way of staying hydrated. Water is literally life!
SPF 50+. If you are in your late teens then you’re probably likely to ignore this because I know I have. Several of my friends from university, college and work much prefer tanning without SPF.
Yes I have tanned darker without SPF but this resulted to flaking and wrinkles! I have learnt from experience that this isn’t the safest way to tan. As much as we love the sun, we all know that without SPF, it can eventually lead to premature ageing, sun burnt which is very painful and in some cases cancer. Ofcourse this will not deter me from having fun in the sun and yes I will still tan but only this time with SPF.
Sunglasses. I never leave the house without this and if you’ve been following me for a long time then you’d know that I only have one pair which is this Louis Vuitton sunnies.

I did have the choice of purchasing several pairs or purchasing one pair from LV. Im not super wealthy enough to be able to afford several luxury branded sunglasses and I didn’t want to own several pairs of cheap sunglasses. In the end, I chose quality over quantity. I believe I have had my LV sunglasses for a couple of years now and I am still obsessed! Not only does it protect my eyes but it also looks good and the quality is amazing. I also tend to wear light eye makeup and wearing sunnies is kinda enough to give your face that dressy cool vibe without a ton of makeup.
Cushion Foundation. This is my fave foundation to use during the summer!

Firstly, cushion foundations contains SPF which again is brilliant for protecting your skin from sun damage. Second, its super light weight! It almost feels invisible on the skin which is perfect to wear during the hot summer days and it does not streak! What I mean by this is that this foundation looks great even with sweat dribbling down our cheeks. Third, application is very quick and luxurious which is convenient specially if its too hot and the last thing you want to do is spend ages applying foundation. Fourth, its compact and convenient to carry around. It comes with a luxurious sponge application, mirror and of course SPF. It fits in any small bag without a problem! I can easily top up my foundation any time with ease and the fact that it contains SPF is also a big bonus.
Bronzer. Summer is my fave season to over do my bronzer besides who doesn’t want a gorgeous bronzed sun kissed skin?!

There is definitely something too stunning about being tanned in the summer. It doesn’t have to be just compact powder bronzers, it can be a cream tanning bronzer with subtle body glow. I have an SPF50 with dark pigments that give my skin that bronzed glow. It no longer make sense to me, to let my skin go through hours of sun exposure and possibly get painfully sunburnt which could eventually completely ruin my summer. Instead I opt to wearing bronzers with subtle glow and shimmer. I can easily choose to go darker without burning my skin and it looks just as good.

My review of "In The Night Garden" live show

This is post will be about my brief review of the "In the Night Garden" live show at The O2 in London! First of all, my 2 year old daughter adores this program which originated from Cbeebies

and I must say I too are amused by the cute characters of this programe

so Yes I may be biased in making this review! I can probably type what has happened from the moment we entered The O2 and the final moments of the show

but I'll spare you written details but I have something better--- a YouTube video to sum up our experience in watching this live show!

Often she would watch the video with me and asked me if we could go again, that is how much she loved it. However, she will be turning 3 soon and as she gets older I am hoping to take her to see other theater shows that I know she will love such as Lion King but lets admit it there is not really a lot of live shows that cater for children under 3. Hence, I highly rate this In the Night Garden live show, from the seating, to the room temperature, the ambiance, the music and the colorful props.

In my teenage years, happiness for me was getting good grades, eating delicious home cooked meal by my dad, receiving lots of encouragement and cuddles from my mum. These were a few of the many happy memories that I can remember as a teenager. Yes there were some terrible soppy memories too but the memories that brings you joy are the ones worth remembering. Now that I am a mum, I too would want to create these happy memories for my daughter and I am so glad to have taken my daughter to this live show which originated from the very first TV program that she has ever loved!

My daughter is only two and I can imagine her getting bored and crying if I was to take her out to the theatre. However, this "In the NIght Garden" live show enabled me and my young family to have our very first kind-of-theatre experience without any complaints from my young child instead lots of giggles and laughter.

I was entertained all through out not only by the main characters from the show

but also by my daughter who can't seem to stop giggling and clapping. Watching my daughter have the best time was happiness for me besides its not every day where she watches her favourite TV program live in person!

I definitely recommend this to all family with younger or older children who adores this show, it is a must-watch! Our children are only young once in their life and this is the best moment to give them that magical experience where they can possibly believe that dreams can come true. The whole experience of watching this live show was magical and surely this will be one of bubba's happiest memories of her childhood as evident in the youtube video.

As a full time mum, my daughter has kept me busy for awhile but now that my child is no longer a new born

this means I have a little time to spare on my other interests such as fashion.

My aim is to share my amazing fashion finds, outfit of the days and some fashion tips to you my beloved readers Yes we all know that fashion changes all the time, often what's trendy now may not be that trendy tomorrow.

Ironically, sometimes vintage looks could be just as gorgeous as the current fashion trend

How I lost my post-pregnancy weight

My arms, legs, ankles was HUGE whilst pregnant

I was at my heaviest when I was pregnant, weighting about 11 (70 kg) stone then straight after my daughter's birth, i only lost 5 kg.

The 5 kg I lost accounted for my daughters birth weight, water retention, placenta and sadly I also lost a considerable amount of blood during my C-section that I've been advised to get a blood transfusion. However, I kindly rejected it and opted for the iron tablets. First month after birth, I was completely home bound with my little one, recovering from my C-section surgery and looking after my child. My husby's mum fed me well and cooked me healthy chicken and ginger soup evey day.

Believe it or not, this was the only food I eat for the first month after birth. I have tried my hardest not to give in to eating carbohydrates such as rice, bread, potatoes and cakes. Even before I got pregnant I dont usually eat that much carbs apart from cakes so it wasn't that hard for me to stick with no carbs diet besides the chicken and ginger soup was soo delicious and satisfying that most of the time I was left feeling full. Although, I may have eaten some fruits and some seafood but not that much.
You see, I was convinced that eating only chicken and ginger soup most days, would help towards my recovery and I think it did since I have recovered well.

Furthermore, I lost 1.5 stone (9kg), a month after the birth of my child. I believe this was because my body stopped retaining too much water and this was also the result of the change in my eating habits. I stopped eating carbs completely, my portion sizes have gone down drastically, I only drank alcohol occasionally, I stopped smoking cigarettes and swapped it with electronic cigs. When it came to food I simply didn't have the apetite since my new born child at that time kept me soo busy and tired that I didn't have the time or luxury to give in to my cravings.

You see being a first time mum, I had a lot more important things to be thinking about than just food. The first months of my daughters life were exhausting but I must say that it was one of the best time of my life.

I may have neglected myself a little bit but looking after my new born was at the top of my priority.

Hence, eating was like a chore at that time. My diet, then and now, consists mostly of protein such as eggs, bacon, chicken, seafood, vegetables, salads and fruits.

I also make sure that my portion sizes are a fair amount and NOT a large plate fit for a monster. This diet led to weight loss and 2 years after the birth of my child, I am once again 7 stones (45 kg).

I may have had a few treats such as a slice of cake every week or every month but most of the time I try not to give in to indulging unhealthily-- You see, I feel I am at my best when I am eating healthy and in my ideal weight which enables me to give more than 100% to my family.

My little family is what keeps me going, they motivate me to living a healthy lifestyle which enables me to be the best mum and wifey I can be for them. Perhaps it is also my thoughts or my way of thinking that got me to lose most my post pregnancy weight

OR it might just be simply because I am happy and passionately devoted to my family that I want to be in the best shape for them besides I kinda look better this way and who doesn't like looking good?!

As a first time mum, my main concern is raising my child the best way I can. As I've mentioned in my earlier post, I often worry whether my parenting skills are good enough to make sure my bubba grows gracefully but I have come to realize that maternal instincts often come natural and that its better to spend your time cherishing your child's childhood than worrying too much. After all my bubba has learnt so much already in the past two years of her life so I must be doing something right. She has learnt nursery songs such as 'The Alphabet Song', 'Twinkle little star' etc ; bubba has also learnt to count and recognize numbers and letters; she is also already potty trained, she's learnt shapes, colours and many more. My little bubba continues to amaze me everyday!

She has an intuitive mind, loves fairy tale stories, princesses, songs, cuddless and so on. My maternal instincts always kicks in when needed, I'd know when bubba would want to nap even without a watch in my hand, I'd know when she'd want to eat and I'd know when she's tired. Although, there are times when I have to convince bubba to want certain things such as eating vegetables and fruits. Hence, my maternal instincts have also taught me to not always give bubba what she wants because what she want may not be that good for her. When bubba was born I didn't think that time would fly by soo fast, it's as if I've blinked and here she is 2 years old and about to turn 3 towards the end of this year. Sometimes I still see her as a little baby, crawling towards me for a cuddle and as much as I'd want my child to grow beautifully--still a part of me wants her to remain a baby.

Hence, me and husby have taken as much baby videos of her as we can and in fact I don't think we will ever stop taking videos or photos of her.

Me and husby worships the ground that she walks on, she is the love of our life.

Sure parenting is not easy, it requires some sacrifices such as putting your childs needs first before yours or putting your career on hold to become a full time mum. A lot of responsibility comes with being a parent and it isn't just a walk in the park. On the one hand, despite all the hard work you have to put in as a parent, it is amazing how much a little person can bring you soo much joy and happiness. Yes I had soo many sleepless nights, when my little bubba was first born, it was pretty exhausting but I look back on videos and photos with nostalgia and a big smile on my face knowing that I have no regrets with being a mum, a full time mum to be exact. My little bubba will only be a baby and a little toddler once in her life so I am very blessed to be able to cherish these baby moments and not miss anything of her childhood such as her first steps, her first hair cut, her first word and many other precious memorable moments.

Thank goodness for the digital camera that it is now possible to be capturing these special moments and forever keep it so it'll be easy to look back on. Youtube has now also made it possible to share some of these fun moments which I find astonishing since there are a lot of parents out there who also share their precious family videos to the world. It gives you an insight to what other people's family life is like and make you laugh soo hard when watching funny videos of babies. I am hoping that bubba's Youtube chanel would also do the same thing, make people smile, laugh and most importantly these videos are fond memories for my family to look back on. As bubba gets older she can easily access and watch these videos to always remind her how much she is and will always be loved.

I have finally created bubba an Instagram account, featuring all her cute little OOTDs-- what she wore, her dresses, shoes and where these pretty little outfits where purchased from.

Bubba's early months and first year, she wore mostly onesies.

She gradually started wearing dresses as she got older

Now she's a little toddler and looks soo much cuter in dresses

and little matching outfits.

Often I search online endlessly for cute outfits that are of good quality and doesn't have a super hefty price tag. However, I must confess she owns a few designer pieces in her wardrobe from Gucci, Roberto Cavalli, Burberry etc. Yep, bubba has a better wardrobe than me and husby! Often, me and husby tame ourselves from over purchasing bubba with designer clothes since she will outgrow these clothes anyway so often I try to to be sensible but let me tell you nothing beats seeing your kids in pretty outfits. As bubba's mum, I feel it is important to teach my child to look after herself, to look her best, to be neat and tidy. Ofcourse, its expected for kids to be spending most their time playing, rolling on the floor, getting stains on their clothes but hey it doesnt mean that I should neglect her appearance and cleanliness. Afterall, she is my pride and joy!

Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo is the best bouncer ever!

I have been looking through bubba's old photos and was looking for ideas on my next post. I have thought of some interesting personal subjects--However, I have decided to blog about something more informative and helpful to mums, who may be looking for bouncers ideal for their babies. Hence, I have decided to write this post containing my detailed review on Fisher Price Rainforest-- hopefully this post will help mums decide whether this bouncer is the right one for their baby.

First of all, here is my story as to how me and my husby came into deciding whether this bouncer is the right one for our daughter. As you can see by the title of this post you already probably have guessed that I am a big fan of this bouncer and I am sure that a lot of mums out there will probably agree with me that this may just be one of the best bouncers ever invented. Yes there are many bouncers out there, different prices, colours, different structures and different dangling toys to keep baby busy. However, out of the many bouncers that my daughter have tried and sat on-- this one was the bouncer that gave my bubba the biggest smile and giggles, she absolutely loved it and was in tears when we took her out of the Jumperoo. At the start, we were reluctant spending this much money on a bouncer but in the end we just couldn't resist not purchasing it--- seeing how bubba loved it soo much.

I'm not sure of bubba's exact age when we bought the Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo but vaguely she was probably 6 months old-- meaning she was still unable to walk and could only sit on her own with a bit of support. At that age, my bubba was still learning to play with toys, to crawl, to roll over and to mumble words.

Basically, there was not a lot my little child can do at that age so most of the time she was just left to either lie down or sit down with a bit of support fiddling with soft toys. Often, I will have to tickle her or make a funny face to get her to laugh and giggle.

Me and my husby was left wondering whether there is something else we could do to keep her more active, entertained and busy without us having to do so much effort. Realistically, I couldn't see myself making funny faces for hours, let alone tickle her for more than 5 minutes-- I mean c'mon! Also there was no way me and husby were going to spend a lot of money on expensive toys that she will just look at and fiddle with for an hour or two and then get bored after. She didn't really know how to play with most toys at that age. Thus, we have decided to look at bouncers and scrapped the idea of buying anymore smaller toys since she already had too many. At this age, we thought that she needed a bouncer that could keep stimulate her to be physically active, keep her interested, make her smile and giggle. Obviously, we thought that the bouncer was the perfect toy to achieve what we wanted for our child. We were also hoping that bubba would be interested enough to use a bouncer on a regular basis. Thus, to keeping bubba entertained while I am busy cooking, doing the laundry etc. Finally, we have decided to shop around and surprisingly bubba was not too keen on most of the bouncers. Some made her cry even before I sat her down on the bouncer, some she looked a little interested by playing with the soft toys hanging on the bouncer and some bouncers looked a little awkward on her. Upon seeing the Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo, I was a little reluctant because of the colour and the price. The colour was rainforest themed and as a first time mum to a little girl, I'd really prefer everything pink and girly! The price, at that time, was £75 which was at the very top end of what me and husby were willing to pay. Eversince, I believe Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo have had a price increase, they're jumperoo now cost £114. Anyhow, despite my concerns, we decided to let bubba have a go besides we were at the store to have a little play time with bubba anyway. Low and behold, as soon as she sat down, her face light up, she was bouncing like no other, she made the biggest smile, she was giggling a lot, she was astonished by the various toys surrounding the jumperoo. We have never seen her so excited over a toy and on the plus side she was also active, her body could turn to face other soft toys and bounce which is what we wanted from a bouncer. Although, the bouncer doesn't have wheels which means it can't move but I thought this could be ideal for strengthening my child's legs besides we haven't got a massive enough home for bubba to run around with a moving bouncer. In the end, we have opted to purchase the jumperoo. As first time parents, me and husby were just used to seeing our very young bubba sitting down and lying down flat on her back or belly. After we purchased the jumperoo, our bubba was more active and playful. A few months after that she was walking, we are not sure whether the jumperoo helped in anyway in strengthening her legs and her playful traits but one thing for sure this jumperoo has left us with lots of happy and giggly memories of bubba at her young age.

Bubba's first year in this world

Since I wasn't able to blog the first year of my daughter's life, I've decided to make this blog featuring some of her cute baby photos. I literally had thousand of it! Anyhow, here it is, bubba's few months old to 1 yr old photos! It was almost an obsession taking photos of her wearing cute outfits..

Furthermore, in my experience the process of giving birth was extremely painful that I am not even sure when I'll be ready to have another child or if I will survive it next time (ok this might be an extreme theory) but yes I felt like I was literally being torn to pieces from the inside during labour. However, this did not deter me from the joy of being a mum to my precious little girl. She is no longer an infant and to be honest I am kinda missing having a little baby at home. Yes I am contemplating of having another one! It is hard work being a mum, it is not at all glamorous-- in fact I barely painted my nails or gone to the salon to get my hair done in the first year of my daughters' life. However, experience of simply being a mum, holding a baby who is half of you and the man you love, watching your child grow gracefully and beautifully is an experience and a memory no money can buy. Being a mum has really changed my perspective in life, gone are the days where all I look forward to after a week of working is going out on a weekend, getting wasted, meeting superficial people in the club, aiming to please people who doesn't really genuinely care and so on. I am soo blessed and so grateful with the life that I have now.

Sure I don't have all the blings and all the glam the world can offer but I have a family and their genuine love is something that cannot be replaced.

Material things get old, get broken, run out of fashion but family will be family. I don't know what the future holds but one thing I am so thankful of is having a husby and a partner in life who is so devoted in looking after me and bubba.

I could have ended up with a man that treated me so horrific or in a career that I do not love instead here I am a mum to my precious child with the man I love. God has been kind to me and for those who doesnt believe in God, then I'll say that there must be a greater power out there to have led me into this life that I would have never dreamed off for myself at a younger age. Like most people, I also dreamed of earning big bucks..

it didnt matter what career it was but as long as I get paid generously then that was ideal for me. Nevertheless, after becoming a mum, I realized that in life some people strive for money, power and beauty. There are also people out there who strive to change the world for the better such as the environmentalists, the charity workers and so on. In my case, I strive for my family-- to be a great mum and a loving wifey.

I believe that if you have a loving and supportive family then the possibilities of what your child or your partner can achieve is endless. After all, family is the root and foundation of our existence without this a person could fall apart, lose their way and live empty lives---but with the support and unconditional love of a family then good things are likely to always follow.

A new look for my blog

I have finally decided to start blogging again. As you all know I have been overjoyed after the birth of my little girl, she has kept me busy these past couple of years-- I am a first time mum after all and had to prioritize my child above everything else. I must admit that I kind of lost the will to blog since my full attention was diverted to caring for my precious little child. However, my little girl is now 2 and she is no longer an infant.

She has grown so gracefully, so much better than I expected-- believe me as a first time mum I was terribly anxious and worried whether I am doing things right. Nonetheless, my little girl now at the age of 2, learnt good manners (saying thank you, your welcome, please), can count, sing alphabet, can recognize numbers, almost potty trained and can recognise shapes..

It is either in her genes or I must be doing something right, right??? This now leads me to this newly transformed blog--

My aim is to share my journey to motherhood to my fellow mums, first-time mums, mum-to-be's or just to anyone interested in having a child. My next aim is to also blog about beauty and fashion that may interest not just mums but every woman out there. After all, we now have children so its only right that we show our kiddies that they have a mum they can admire and look up to. Yes ladies, mums can be cool and pretty too!

My next aim is to provide my loyal readers an insight into my life as a mum. Hopefully, I can achieve my aims and possibly help and inspire not just mums but women in general.

My Mia, my world!

So this is how it feels to be a mum, words aren't really enough to describe it. Since we're all different, you'll have to go through it yourself to find out. In my case, the day my baby Mia was born was the happiest day of my life.

I had to go through an emergency c section due to complications. It was a tough labour, I struggled-- the pain of strong contractions was excruciating that I've been given 3 different pain killers in separate times to block the pain. In the end, although I was very hesitant, after more than 24 hours of labour (altogether my labour took 33 hours) and some complications, the doctors have finally convinced me to have an emergency c section. By that time, I was frustrated, tired, miserable and most of all frightful of the risks involved with a c section not just to me but also to my baby. Ofcourse, I didn't feel any pain during the surgery but I certainly felt the tugging, it was as if I was a frog being dissected and cut open! At that moment I didn't even want to start thinking about my recovery and how will my weak little body cope. All these worries flooded my thoughts whilst the surgery was taking place. Suddenly, I heard a little cry! She's here! My child is finally born..

As soon as she was handed to my other half, it was as if my world stopped and my life flashed right in front me. All my worries regarding my c section disappeared, our little family is now complete and nothing else mattered to me but her being born safely.

Me and my other half were and still are so overwhelmed with love towards our child. It might sound
creepy but even now, 3 and a half months later, I'm still swooning over her and often I'd watch her sleep for hours until her next feed-- how mad is that?!

On the other hand, my hubby who usually sounds so manly now often talks funny and makes baby noises around little Mia.

It really is a joy to watch my hubby turn into an amazing dad that he is.

Who would have thought that a guy like him, whose never washed dishes in his life, did not only look after a new born baby but also looked after me whilst recovering from my c section.

I was in physical pain during recovery but knowing that my hubby's there made the process a lot easier. I didn't think that it was possible to love him more but after all these years, I love him more now, than I've ever loved him before and I love him more and more each day (*sigh, im turning into a cheese bag lol)

Becoming a mum is hard work but im sure majority of mums out there would agree with me that once you have a child you will do everything to make sure your child's well-- sleepless nights, swapping girly shopping with nursery furniture shopping, it doesn't matter if I've eaten or not as long as my little one is fed then that's fine, putting baby first before my career and since she's only a baby there's still more sacrifices to come once she older. All these things a mother will do and more for her child-- this I now understand after becoming a mum myself.

This whole experience has taught me valuable lessons, although I've still got a lot to learn but I'm enjoying every minute of it.

My surprise Baby Shower at Marriott Hotel!

Baby shower is a means to celebrate the upcoming birth of a baby, by showering the expectant mother with gifts. It sounds fun but it never came to my mind to throw a baby shower since I was more focused on organizing my baby's first month bday banquet. However, I feel blessed to have a bunch of crazy but thoughtful girls, who has taken a time out from their busy schedules just to sneakily organize a surprise baby shower for me at Marriott Hotel. I was absolutely clueless about this baby shower and was soo overwhelmed by their efforts to make this day special.

They have showered me with baby gifts, arranged a table full of yummy snacks,

and they have also beautifully decorated the hotel room with pink flower balloons,

It was a small, intimate, fun baby shower. I must say that these girls have not only showered me with baby gifts but also spoilt and pampered me that night.. although I was absolutely paranoid at the beginning thinking, what's going on?? why is everyone bugging me to go shopping and chaperone little lai and krishen? im heavily pregnant, hormonal and miserable! and why is my soon to be hubby all of a sudden agreed to take me to a salon to get waxed?? i thought he loved my hairy self? lool..aahh the whining continues lool..

How bad did i feel after walking through the hotel bedroom door and getting shockingly surprised by everyone?! Blimey, I still can't believe I was absolutely clueless lool..

As if surprising me wasn't enough, they've also arranged a number of activities we could do whilst in the hotel. Our afternoon started by enjoying the spa facilities at the hotel, I couldn't go to the steam room or sauna because I'm heavily pregnant but I've certainly made the most of the jacuzzi. One of the girls have also funded my waxing treatment, I surely needed it since being pregnant meant I can't reach certain areas of my body lool..

soo after a relaxing time at the spa, I was treated to a lovely dinner at this trendy chinese karaoke restaurant. Food was brilliant and we sang our hearts out, nope there was no alcohol involved! I should have taken more pictures but hey i was busy just having fun with the ladies.

After dinner, we went back to the hotel and I enjoyed a nice little foot massage from one of the girls-- aahh bliss! Then it was time to open the lovely baby shower gifts, yayy!!

Aaawww.. The highlight of the evening was the baby shower games, it was hilarious! Altogether, a fun night filled with laughter and giggles!

The next day, I was ushered by the girls to a yummy all you can eat breakfast buffet. Here is the vid-->>

Once again, I'd like to thank the girls for all your efforts and for all the lovely gifts you've given me. This was definitely a special day to remember and baby Mia will certainly know that her aunties love her very much even before her birth.

Sea Cruise in Cyprus at the 28th week of my pregnancy

Who says that pregnant women can't fully enjoy a sunny holiday? Although I must admit that there were times were the heat in Cyprus was unbearable. Yes I did get swollen feet and was breathless most of the time but hey that didn't stop me from making the most of this holiday.

We started our holiday by getting picked up by a limo cab in Cyprus which was cool since it's not everyday that I get driven around in a limo. Perhaps the next time will be on my wedding day..

In the morning I was spoilt for choice by the variety of food in the breakfast buffet.

Hubby was quite surprised at how much I ate..

-- believe me being pregnant had gotten my appetite sky high, so the buffet breakfast and buffet dinner had saved me and my boyfriend soo much money lool since I can have as much food as I like.. besides I was probably burning half of the calories I ate since I was covered in sweat most of the time. Yes it was unbearably hot that me and my hubby had to shower every couple of hours, but the Cyprus heat didn't stop us from going for a long stroll from our hotel to Paphos town.

We stopped by at random places to rest (being 28 weeks pregnant meant I have to stop every 10 minutes to rest lol) and take pictures..

When we got to Paphos town, we sat by the beach and hubby sun tanned for a bit (soo jealous since being pregnant meant I cant sun tan).

Aaahh well it was still soo relaxing, the beach was clean, quiet and chilled out-- meaning the town wasn't saturated and crowded unlike other tourist places.

The highlight of this holiday was the food!!

Food glorious food!

Fresh and super healthy ingredients equals a happy tummy and a healthy baby!

Finally, what a great way to end our holiday by going on a sea cruise, yayy!

This was a truly relaxing and chilled out holiday tailored by my super sweet hubby to fit my pregnancy needs.

My very first baby haul!

I am very excited to be blogging about my very first baby haul!

Like most mums I coulldn't wait to go shopping and buy my little princess the prettiest little floral dresses, baby pink coloured sleep suits, cute little dolly shoes and many more-- the other half of these baby items are hand-me-downs from relatives which are just as pretty. I am proud to say that at this stage, me and my soon to be hubby have now sorted out our little girl's very first wardrobe-- well I'm sure she should have enough clothes for the first 3 months. The rest of her wardrobe as she grows will be purchased one at a time. Also me and my hubby can't wait to build a pretty little pink nursery for her but that'll have to wait until she's born-- yes, I won't forget to post photos and videos!

For the mean time, here are the photos of our little one's first wardrobe. I've only managed to fit atleast most of my favourites in this bed, the rest is in the draw. Shout out to our family and friends who's given us half of this baby stuff, thanks!

I was only 4 months pregnant when I first purchased these cute little floral dresses from my favorite baby brand Monsoon as seen in the photo below. These little dresses are soo adorable and it was on sale so I just had to buy it.

I also love Next's baby clothes range specially when they're on sale you could almost purchase every item with 50% discount or more. The quality and comfort of the baby items are brilliant plus they have a wide range of style to choose from. You have to come early though because during sale period the baby items go really quick. My purchase from their recent sale consists of sleep suits, baby shoes, bibs and pink baby tops as seen below and even I struggled to look for these items because they were scattered everywhere.

A cheaper alternative is primark and peacocks. Although their baby range is quite limited in terms of style and colours but the quality is just as good as the other high street baby brands. I've purchased this winnie the pooh dressing gown with matching slippers from primark, as seen in the photo below.

The next photo below consists of well sought after, hand-me-down, branded baby items from relatives. The brands were they bought these super cute clothes are Baby Armani, mothercare and Mama's&Papa's.

This super cute baby hamper is given by my hubby's workmates-- sweet isn't? I haven't opened the hamper yet cuz it juz looks too pretty. I'll wait until my baby's 1st month bday party to open any presents so stay tuned for the photos and videos!

NEWS FLASH, I've been hibernating because I'm pregnant and will be a proud mummy of a little girl!

Anyhow, I am considering blogging and documenting my journey to motherhood-- being pregnant with my little princess is the best thing that's ever happened to me but if times get rough then at least I can look back to this blog to remind myself of my love for her.

My very first scan--12th week

19th week scan, the day I found out I was having a little girl!

Of course, I will compile all my blog about my little princess so when she's older, she could look back with a smile on her face knowing that her mummy and daddy love her very much!

She's adorable and it really was love at first sight!

I also have a DVD of my 4d scan at home and Ive lost count of how many times I've seen this scan-- call it corny but each time I watch it, I get teary, amazed..full of hopes and dreams of the future.

Teary because I'm so overwhelmed by my love for her--for the first time, I now know how it feels to love unconditionally..

Amazement since I'm amazed that this precious little one is a combination of me and the man I love-- no one else in this world is like her!

Hopes and dreams.. that our little family can overcome whatever struggle life may give us..

I must admit that I'm still oblivious of what it's like to be a parent-- I'm just grateful that I'm not alone in this journey..

God has blessed me with a loving partner who's just as excited to experience parenthood with me. Together we'll provide a solid family for our little princess, a family that will give her enough love and support which will hopefully aid her to make wise decisions in life once she's older.

Furr Favorites!

I will be blogging about my favorite and top rated faux furr coat-- yes faux furr not real animal furr! It's a must have for every girl to own a furr coat/furr jacket besides it gives a touch of glamour in every outfit and wardrobe . Anyhow, most of you must have previously read dozens of articles about how celebs wear only real animal furr-- guess what that is now soo old skool! Quality faux furr just feels as soft, warm, comfortable and look just as glamorous but more affordable--> Most of all no animal need to suffer and be skinned just to satisfy the demand for real furr besides the thought of wearing a dead animal's skin is dreadful!

Anyhow, here are my top rated faux furr coats!

1) This coat is from Miss Selfridge with an affordable price tag of £89.

The colour is in Mink which is subtle and could go with any other colored outfit. The horizontal line pattern on the coat is also nicely designed. Unfortunately, this coat was sold out on the first month or two. Hence, it is no longer available in the shops! I should have bought it when I first seen it!

2) My next favorite is out of my budget with a price tag of £595!-- that's why it's second on my list! But hey it's super glamorous real sheepskin furr coat from Reiss.

Yes I know I am contradicting myself! I have mentioned that no animal needs to suffer and be skinned just to satisfy the demand for real furr . However, sheeps are butchered for their meat not for their furr alone but often are farmed and kept alive so the sheeps could produce more furr which is obviously better than butchering them! Furthermore, sheep skin are the warmest fabrics evaa-- it's commonly use for Uggs boots, coats and jackets.

3) My third favorite is this ultra stylish furr coat from Topshop with an affordable price tag of £89. Luckily, I bought this furr coat when it was still available in the shops and I love it!

It's not my warmest jackets but if worn with a warm jumper then it is good enough for the cold winter.

The messy pattern on the coat also gives it that edgy look which is brilliant!

4) The fourth one is from ASOS but is once again sold out in my size! It's annoying since it is now also on sale in their website from £75 to £44!

ASOS has named this coat "ASOS Film Star Stole In Faux Fur"--> Yes, the name says it all! It looks classy, sophisticated and glamorous. Although, this would have been on the top of my list if not for the following reasons; this isn't suitable for super cold winter days since it is V neckline which leaves the chest exposed to cold temperature unless a scarf is worn, the length is quite short thus providing only a bit of warmth on the upper body. Apart from that, I would gladly wear this on a nice night out on spring, autumn and even summer days but not on cold winter days.

5) My fifth furr favorite is this leopard print jacket I bought from New Look awhile back.Thus, it may no longer be available in the shops.

This furr jacket could really glam up any simple and plain outfit besides with a price tag of £25, I just had to buy it! The quality of furr is quite good since it doesn't malt or fall off. However, it's sleeveless with short length and therefore can't be worn on cold winter days. It's still on my favorite list though since there is no need for me to put a stylish or patterned outfit together when I'm wearing this jacket. The leopard print is glam enough which means plain black or plain brown shirt with drop earings are stylish enough for this jacket besides it would be too much if I wear this with a strong patterned top or bright colored accessories.

6)My very last furr favorite is this super affordable cropped length, long sleeved jacket from Primark!

Price tag is £23! It's cheap and the furr quality is ok since it doesn't malt or fall off. I bought mine last year so I'm not sure whether it's still available in the shops. This jacket goes in my top rated list since it goes so well with a pair of skinny jeans, patterned or even bright colored top with chunky accessories and a kick ass heels, lace high heel boots or even Uggs. The downside is this jacket can't be worn on cold winter days because it's not warm enough unless a thick warm jumper is worn underneath-- but hey nothing can go wrong with a price tag of £23!

So I haven't blogged for a while ever since the new COD MW3 was released. Incase you're wondering-- NO I wasn't playing COD all this time! Okkaay so maybe at the start I did but c'mon I am way to girly for this besides I had a busy festive timetable ahead of me. It was a crazy year-- full of dramas as well as happy dayz! First of all, I must admit that I love pink, Disney princesses, puppies, teeny bopper films such as Twilight, makeup and other pretty little things that best describes an average yet feminine and superbly vain girl. Thus, I wonder how the hell did I end up genuinely liking the new COD MW3-- since it is soo not me!

Hey this only proves that feminine girls can also whoop dudes asses at this action pack game!

I call this girl power mudaf*ckas..okkayy I am joking, don't get offended with the fowl language. Yes, playing this sh*t gets my small little body's adrenaline pumping!

Ofcourse, COD would be no interest to me at all without my boyfriend's constant nagging that I show my love to him by attempting to play this COD game of his which I used to call silly and a waste of time. YES before I'd rather spend my time convincing him to watch a film with me than spend time attempting to play COD. I seriously thought there was noo waay I would ever like COD if anything I despise it for taking my boyfriend's time away from me and there was absolutely no chance I would ever play COD with him besides I've got better things to do such as..

shopping!!

Of course after awhile I realized that it shouldn't really matter if my bf is obsessed with COD-- it's not like he's at a strip club staring at sum next girl's naked ass besides there are other worst behaviors of men to worry about than just playing COD. So to all the ladies who have men problems, maybe it's because your bf doesn't play COD that much or perhaps doesn't play COD at all? Aahh keep your man at home, get him a comfy chair, big TV, a PS3 and get him to play COD MW3. I am sure you'll see good results in no time! Nonetheless, I have also attempted to play COD, ofcourse at the beginning it was difficult and I was constantly angry at the controller-- oh by the way there was one point I wanted to knock the TV off because I kept on getting killed by the same person!! I felt my blood pressure rising but it was one hell of a game and the best part is bonding with my bf. Here is one of his best games-- 25 kill streaks claimed him a MOAB, sikk or wut?!

He will be uploading his COD games in this channel. I will also soon purchase a mic and for those who would like to see a vid of my first attempt in playing COD with my annoying voice on it then SUB SUB SUB!

8 Karma biatch-titude!

For me personally, karma means actions equals reactions--> most powerful law of physics! Like the saying goes 'what goes around comes back around'. Similar to my other blog on 'What NOT to eat, food that makes you ugly!', karma is also just common sense. This means treating people how you want to be treated.

For those who know me, I was raised in a catholic school for ten years (please refer to My Introduction post).

I have learnt that the 'Ten Commandments'are the rules and the '8 Beatitudes' are the reward to those who are righteous..but how about to those who have harmed other people, to the bullies, the greedy and to the ones who create havoc in our society??

Hence, I have created this list. Furthermore, as much as I believe that 'Positive Thinking' can change your life and YES human kind are surely capable of doing what is right...

BUT this is not always true and you'll be surprised what evil deeds human kind is also capable off.

Moreover, I believe that our God does not exist to condemn the horrid, our God is waay better than that. He represents the good and inspire us to live a righteous life---> instead I believe that it is the Karma that condemns the horrid. So to all the victims of crimes and unfortunate incidents caused by the horrid, rejoice because Karma will seek justice for you.

Popular anime among the younger generation is 'Jigoku Shoujo' or 'Hell Girl' which best portrays karma.

Nonetheless, here is my very own list of 8 Karma Biatch-titude!

Cursed are the women beaters. These types of men use their physical strength to inflict pain on weak women. Karma will find them--> one day they will find their match and they too will get beaten up!

Cursed are the bullies. These types of people gain happiness by making other people's lives miserable. Karma will find them--> they will never be happy!

Cursed are the arrogant and the manipulative. These types of people think highly of themselves and looks down on others and manipulates the weak to gain an advantage. Karma will find them--> one day their lies will be exposed and they will lose everything.

Cursed are the stalkers. These types of people gain satisfaction by invading other people's privacy with the intention of harming and threatening others. Karma will find them--> they too will experience harm and threats.

Cursed are the people who worship and believe in nothing but material things such as money. These types of people care for no one but themselves and their material possessions!--> they are destined to die alone in their death bed.

Cursed are the peodophiles (PUKE!), murderers, rapist and people with bad intentions. They walk amongst us like normal people but within they are a danger to others with horrid evil intentions. Karma will find them---> they may get away with it while they're are still living but they will suffer an excruciating pain afterlife.

Cursed are the corrupt government and police officials such as President Mugabe of Zimbabwe. They are the worst types of people! They have the authority and power to change the society for the better and protect the weak who have experienced injustice. However, these types of people choose to abuse their authority and manipulate the justice system for their selfish needs. Karma will find them---> they may live a wealthy life now but they will burn in hell and their kids will carry their sins.

Finally, cursed are the people who doesn't believe in good deeds. They are heartless and live their lives in greed. Karma will find them---> people like these are bound to suffer!

Until then, be sure to live a good life and remember a life without love is no life at all!

Achieve your goals by staying positive!

I could say that positive thinking has greatly influenced my life such as acquiring a degree in BA in Business Economics, to having worked as a recruitment consultant, to creating my own blog site with thousands of hits a week, to becoming a google affilliate and to hopefully pursuing bigger things in the future. I may not have achieved everything that I wanted besides I'm still young BUT I've never been happier!! Continue reading if you wana be a happy bunny like me!

Positive thinking is what helps us get through a rough time such as 'Economic Recession'. During this time, many hard working individuals have lost their jobs, big and small companies were also terribly affected, many households have suffered with statistics of house repossession doubling. Furthermore, desperate individuals have resorted to comitting crimes and worst suicide. Hence, the increase in crime rates and suicide rates during the recession. Shall I carry on??

Indeed, positive thinking may not resolve all our problems but it will guide us to find solutions which could just be sitting right in front of us but we were too busy getting depressed to even notice. Nonetheless, here is my guide to staying positive!

You can be whoever you want but with no pain comes no gain! So be sure to adapt a 'can do' attitude and work hard to achieve your dream!

Focus on your skills not your weakness. This will enable you to strengthen your skills without wasting your precious time dwelling on your weakness.

Avoid comparing yourself with others. You're unique and special in your own way besides we all have variations in skills, personality, motivation and so on. You are your own person, embrace it!

Be competetive but accept that sometimes there will be people out there who may be more skilled and experienced than you. Don't view this in a negative way, instead view them as an inspiration! Find out how did that person achieve success, perhaps you can learn from their experience and mistakes.

Life isn't perfect and everyone is bound to have dramas. Learn how to view these problems as a blessing in disguise besides it will only make you stronger!

Perhaps view your problem as a knockout punch..yes that knock out punch must have felt good!

Surround yourself with positive people (positive friends and family, ignore the negative and arrogant people). Yes I know there may be times when we argue with our loved ones-- ITS NORMAL, don't retaliate instead stay calm and solve arguements with grace.

Accept criticisms and failure like a grown up-- YES we are also bound to experience failure. Learn from it and grow from it besides this will also guide you to do better in life.

Stop complaining and learn how to appreciate the little things in life including little things others have done for you such as buying you lunch or listening to your tantrums.

Lastly,

aim higher,
be ambitious,
grow and pursue as many things as you want!

BUT

never forget to be grateful of what you have, your life, your gifts, your talent, and most specially the people that has stood by you through bad times and good times and YES ignore the negative people because they are not worth your time! ---> this is positive thinking!

Miss Jo Ma's Autumn-must-haves!

Sunny Summer is now over but hey autumn is not that bad!

Although I hate cold weather but hey autumn makes the transition from summer to winter a lot easier since winter does not start immediately. Autumn gives us enough time to prepare our wardrobes and of course condition our body for the winter season. Bare in mind that our body can easily get fever during winter than summer so it is crucial to keep ourselves warm and the key is to also remember that 'prevention is better than cure'. This means strengthening our immune system to help fight the illnesses that comes with winter-- please refer to my other post on 'Food that makes you beautiful'.

Eating soup does not only keep you warm but could also boost your immune system, why not try chicken soup!

Anyhow, autumn's temperature is obviously not high but it's not too low either which means we could opt for wearing our blazers and scarves rather than the really thick and heavy jackets. Like most girls, I love shopping and of course I update my wardrobe every season. Hence, I'd like to share my very own autumn must haves..

Black blazer, I bought my ones from New Look for £25 and no you don't have to spend hundreds to own a plain black blazer. I haven't got a photo of myself wearing it yet for the mean time here is a photo of the blazer. I chose black since it goes with everything-- literally everything either with formal trousers, denim jeans, denim shorts and with fab accessories this blazer will look even better.

A trendy jumper to keep you warm enough for autumn. As much as I love being warm, I also like staying sweat free lol. Often, autumn is cold but not cold enough for me to be wearing my warmest jackets so instead I usually opt for wearing warm jumpers. Here is one of the jumpers I recently bought from Miso Republic and at the moment is also available in the shops.

It is available in white and pink! I super love this jumper because it keeps you warm enough for autumn and I like the fluffiness of it which makes it really comfortable to your skin. On top of that, the fluff doesn't come off and stick on your clothes compared to other jumpers. I tend to buy jumpers that wouldn't have fluff coming off it because it sticks on my other clothes and yes it is very difficult to take off!

Don't forget that jumpers such as this could also be worn during winter underneath your jacket to keep you even warmer so it is crucial to have a few jumpers in your wardrobe.

I am obssessing over fur such as fur snoods and fur scarves not just for autumn but also a must have for winter!

They're really warm and look oh so glamorous! I haven't bought one yet since I am still browsing around shops but here are my favorite ones!

Although I would only purchase fake fur but this one is apparently a rabbit fur. I found this from google shop results.

Leather gloves to keep your hands warm. Personally, I prefer leather since it keeps you warm enough for winter and yes it is also cool enough for summer.

Most importantly, leather also provides ventilation for your skin which leaves you with refreshed skin unlike non leather ones where your hands could tend to get smelly and sweaty..yuk!

Quality moisturizers is crucial in keeping our skin moisturized and hydrated during the cold season besides no one wants to have dry, flaky or grany hands and face.

I recommend using Aveda hand relief for moisturising your hands-- it feels absolutely gorgeous in your hands and moisturises your hands all day even after washing.

I am currently using Estee Lauder's Hydrationist..It's quite good in moisturizing my skin but sadly not good enough to completely remove the flakiness of my skin. Hence, I am still searching for that moisturiser which is perfect for my skin.

For the first time, I got my nails done! Yayy, I should have really chosen a more autumn nail colors such as shimmering grey and metallic taupe from channel..

Aahh what the hell, I still prefer my feminine pink so I obviously opted for pink nail colour. I've also tried the 3D nail art and my verdict is--->I absolutely love it!

These gorgeous nails are courtesy by my dear sis in law, thanks! So holla at me to all the lovely ladies out there, if interested ill book your appointment myself to get your nails pampered and pimped at her nail salon.

It's really creative and for those who love blings, you could also choose to get Swarovski crystals be professionally glued on your nails.

I usually do my own nails but shockingly it is not the same when you get your nails professionally done using quality nail polishes. On top of that you could also express your creativity by getting some nail arts done on your nails.They are shockingly cheap-- only £5 pounds to get your nails painted! £10 to £20 max if you want 3d nail art on special occasion!

YES the newly painted nails will also last you a very long time, a few weeks? perhaps even months depending on how you look after them.

Finally, to all the poorly ones like me make sure to prepare yourself for winter, stay healthy and keep warm!

Women have earned it Nigahiga!

I have been inspired by well known YouTube vlogger Nigahiga to write my own insights on Feminism. Wikipedia defines feminism as movements defining, establishing and protecting women's social rights and promotes equal opportunity between men and women.

Apparently, the feminist movement has been around for a long time but have they actually succeeded in achieving equality between men and women?

Or does it matter? Is it even relevant at this point of time? Yes of course feminism made a huge difference to women's lives back in the day when women were not even allowed to vote, to enter higher education and were a subject of domestic violence and cruelty.

Nigahiga must understand that before he opens his mouth and makes judgement about feminism-- he should firstly consider the reasons as to why the feminist movement was established.

First of all, feminist movement wouldn't have existed if women didn't experience any form of discrimination, cruelty and abuse. I too wish feminists movements or groups cease to exist because then that means that women are being treated fairly and that feminist groups are no longer needed. Sadly, there are still quite a lot of women who does not only experience inequality at work but also experiences harassment. However, thanks to those who fought for women's rights and equality--> it is now evident that women's role in our society has gradually increased in time.

Women are now allowed to vote

Women are now given the same education and career opportunities as men

Policies have also been established protecting women's rights

Although not common but if women really want to, they could now also enter politics. An example of women politician was US former vice president Sarah Palin

Women could now enter military and policing

Women executives are now gradually increasing-- an example is Deborah Meaden from Dragons' Den

Power house, women executives of Gucci group

Women, believe it or not, could not also enter bodybuilding!!

Hence.. is there anything women can't do??

Indeed, the position of women in society has improved a lot compared to back in the day. Soo why is Nigahiga saying that if women want equality then women should be treated like a dude?? What is the relevance of his arguement to the history of feminism?

After all the abuse women has gone through in the past, I think we women have earned women's day!

Like I said at the beginning the main reason for the rise of the feminist movements is to defend and protect themselves from experiencing strong discrimination, cruelty and harassment not only at work but even within their households.

Yes domestic violence was very common back in the day, I suppose they were being treated like a dude by horrid men?! hhmm is that equality??

So let's face it and even I hate to admit this but we are women and by nature are weaker than men. So I wonder how can there be equality if women are getting treated like a dude?? For example would it be equal for a man to box a small and weak woman??

C'mon, this is not even the case in boxing-- where two male fighters have to be the nearly the same weight to fight in the ring.

Furthermore, is it equal if a heavily pregnant woman should work, earn money and not get maternity pay just so the male species can apparently feel equal? lool.. Perhaps technology can make it possible for men to give birth so they too can get pregnant-- I suppose that would make it equal then, huh??

Another issue is how equal could it be if the society views Men who have slept with many women as 'cool' and 'experienced' BUT if a woman sleeps with many men then they are seen as 'sluts'..is that fair??

Makes me wonder what exactly is equality between Men and Women??
