Well okay, Jon is going to turn four in August, but it still surprises me how that little brain works. Just today at the dinner table, I was playing around with the noodles, telling my two boys that I had a beard. They laughed then Jon said, "just like bin laden". In disbelief, I had to ask him to repeat what he said. Asked how he knew bin laden had beard, he said he heard it on the news.

Then it dawned on me that there was one morning, a few days after the seals raided his residence, when I drove him to school, the NPR was pointing out that Bin Laden was found with a beard almost white. The news tried to make a point that he might have dyed his beard black on his video appearances in the past.

I'm proud of him, and at the same time it is a scary reminder about how observant the little man is. Just recently, I tried to find out how many Indonesian words he is picking up from our conversation. I gave him a list of Indonesian words and asked him to translate. I am very much amazed, he understands A LOT. I have to say I regretted asking Debbie to stop confusing him by speaking Chinese to him when he was a baby.

Saturday at St Johns County Public Library

Now, that the weather is really nice outside, taking the kids to the St.Johns County Main Library is the best thing to do on Saturday.

Inside the library, they have a very nice children reading area.

Outside, they have playground, picnic area, and Carousel Ride.
