Fortunately for Oklahoma, Eleisha Eagle ended her tour opening for TCL.  Eleisha’s perfmance was phenominal and unexpected (if that’s fair to say). Prior to the show, the group of us that went didn’t know who she was. After the show none of us will forget her. She’s that good. Check out her website and music at http://www.eleishaeagle.com/.

With that out of the way I’ve got gobs of photos to share with the world…

First up are photos from the Martin Sexton and Chris Trapper shows shot a few weeks back. It was my first invite to shoot on behalf of Neptunz productions. Many thanks to them for giving me the opportunity. An interesting first for me regarding this show…it was requested that I seek approval from the management (Sexton’s wife) before I released the photos to the public. I sent them and E-mail…they looked at them (thank you google analytics)…but haven’t sent anything back. So for now the gallery is password protected as promised. Pictures of Trapper’s show are available as they didn’t request limits on those.

Second in line are photos from The Bled’s performance…

I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to get into this show at all. Fortunately, Darren, the lead guitarist, messaged me about 20 minutes before the show and let me know I was on the list. I contacted each of the bands that were lined up that night and The Bled was the only one to respond…which was good because they were what I was looking forward to the most.

Bigger is better…

Third and fourth on the list are photos from the Straylight Run and Bayside. I had intended on getting to the this show when the doors opened because the lineup was pretty solid. Unfortunately, I missed the first two bands and showed up right when some dude was being carried out on a stretcher after kissing the floor with his skull (he was a tad bit delirious but otherwise I think he was going to be fine.) Anyway, with all of that commotion going on no one was at the gate to get me access…not a good feeling. It was a lessoned learned…be there when the doors open or risk not shooting at all.

Regarding the show, both bands were amazing but Bayside was just sick. In prepping for the show I knew that there lead guitarist Jack Oshea was rad and I wanted to capture as much of him as I could…he didn’t disappoint. There have been a few times shooting shows that I hear something that’s so good it makes me stop taking pictures…him playing was one of those times. I had to snap my self back into picture taking mode more than once. Great shows by two outstanding bands made for a night to remember.

On side note, I changed up the way that my galleries are organized. After analyzing traffic to my site I realized that most people didn’t click past the second or so group of pictures which is a shame because the best pics aren’t always at the front of the gallery. For the curious, I made the decision a while back that I would put up as many pics of the show as possible rather than cherry pick according to my tastes; I never know what someone else may think is amazing.

That being said, you now get a full page of thumbnails now and the option to click and enlarge the photo from there.

Also, saving pictures now is much easier as well…after you click on the picture…right below it is a “save picture” link.
