#ROUNDTABLETHOUGHT-ASHLEY MAR SHELL-#SOLD ALBUM REVIEW

2015-05-11T14:35:00.000-07:00

Here is my review of the most anticipated album from the Queen of the Carolina Soul ....Ms. Ashley Mar Shell

Chicken n Walffles , Durham NC

2014-09-13T19:16:00.001-07:00

Anybody that knows me knows that I do not venture into Durham County, but tonight I made a decision to try the night life in the great bull city. Some friends and I went to a restaurant called " Dame's Chicken n Waffles ". When we first got there , I was really excited to try the great combination. I mean I love me some chicken, and I am very find of waffles. The question that conquered my mind was "Are they really that good together?"

After what seemed like an hour wait.", we were finally seated. The decor in the restaurant was ok , but it gave you a homey feeling which I assume they were Iming for. I ordered four wings a side of Mac and cheese , and a waffle drizzled with a whiskey creams sauce with a peach and apricot schmear.

When the food came I was at a loss for words. The presentation alone was so powerful that I foresaw this meal deafeating my taste. Need to say I was right because every bite set my taste buds on fire. This meal made not only my tongue happy , but also my belly. I left the establishment feeling very sTisfied and very fulfilled. Here's a picture of my meal . If you are in Durham, NC I highly recommend this place. It's worth every penny.

This Mac and Cheese America changed my life. I've never tastes such light and flavorful mac and cheese .

Lil Kim -Hardcore Mixtape dropping at 9:11

2014-09-11T15:08:00.001-07:00

With only an 3 hours away, fans world wide are waiting for the return of the Queen B Lil Kim. I am an respectable Kim fan , but one has to ask "Is this album needed"?. The reason I ask this is because her last mixtape in my opinion was a poor representation of her legacy. I felt the "Black Friday" lacked energy and all her bars were mediocre . Instead of stickng to the script and reminding her fans who she was, she chose to focus all her energy on Nicki Minaj.

We all know how Kim feels about her rival, but did we need an entire mixtape of disses? The answer to thT question is no we did not. Since this mixtape is dropping tonight at 9:11, I hope she has some great material that sets the bar as high as she did when she first came in the game.

So if you are a Kim fan make sure that you log on to LilKim.com to get the mixtape. I'm not sure if it is free , but I know that I will get my copy. I will review the album and share my views on a Roundtable Thought. Peace in the hood, stop the violence!!!!

Update on my whereabouts

2014-03-02T19:36:00.001-08:00

What's up ROUNDTABLE!!!!

I know that it has been awhile since we have talked, but I just wanted to let my followers know that I haven't forgotten you all. Lately, I've just been dealing with the cards that life has dealt me. You know how that is right? I mean life at times can be so hard, but what I've learned to do is keep pushing.

Since 2014 started I've been thinking of ways to finally get the damn blog off the ground. I've been dealing with Roundtable for a couple of years now and it seems like it's never going to be what I want it to be. I want Roundtable to be more than the entertainment gossip collimating. I want it to be more of a lifestyle if anything. This blog is supposed to be a reflection of me so that you can not only check out the hottest shit, but you can get a glimpse into my life. The thing is I want everything really soon and fast. But like fine wine , it takes time to make a better product.

On top of trying to better the blog , I've decided to stop smoking cigarettes . If you know me then you know that whenever you see me I always had a black or a Newport hanging out of my mouth. I honestly don't remember when I started but I hate that I did because smoking constantly is expensive as hell. Plus most importantly it's bad for my health. Since I love the sensation of smoking so much I chose another route to get that same feeling and that route was E Cigs. For those that don't know, E Cigs are the alternative of smoking without the affects of second hand smoking, no ash , and no smoking the different mix that goes into a real cig. Once I decided to quit, I started filming my reactions without cigarettes and the out come is beginning to look so bright . I breathe a little better, I sleep better and I definetly smell better .

With all of that I've been bustin my ass trying to make ends meet and take care of home. So life at this point has put a block on Jonosroundtable. For those that still follow , I promise to do better.

MAKE A STATEMENT

SWV REUNITED PREMIERE TONIGHT

2014-01-16T14:51:00.001-08:00

What's up America. So tonight is the premier of the SWV REUNITED series. To be honest I'm kind of yay and nah about this. The nay side is like why? I mean I understand that they have been gone forever , but do we really want to see this. I mean come on they are not TLC. If they were going to do a reunion of some sorts why not bring Envouge back, cause lawd knows Ms. Dawn will never make it to solo stardom. Two groups failed and you still ain't popped yet? The yay side is like ok they did have some hits like" I'm so into you, Weak, Right Here. I also wanna know why they broke up. With that being said I'm up and down about it. It could be a good thing or a bad thing. Hopefully they will come off as a group that is rising back to stardom like a Phoenix. So like you I will rune in and see where tge hell they have been. You can tune in tonight for tge premiere on WE.

R.I.P. Paul Walker Dead

2013-12-01T06:33:00.001-08:00

This isn't what I wanted as my comeback post but I felt that it needed to be addressed. Fast and the Furious star , Paul Walker was killed yesterday evening in a fatal car accident. This saddens my heart bc he was so young to leave this earth.

Still missing you

2013-09-13T17:18:00.001-07:00

I can't believe that it's been 17 years since the death of hip hop legend 2 PAC. 2Pac is one of hip hops Heros and everyday he is missed. His music had so much life and always served a message whether it was good, bad, happy or sad he always spoke the truth. So today when you're in your ride, on your lunch break make sure you bang one his joints .

KENDRICK IS READY FOR WAR

2013-08-13T23:35:00.001-07:00

So tonight I was looking online and I kept seeing a buzz about Kendrick Lamar going off on Big Sean's song entitled "Control". In the song, the Compton rapper pretty much called every rapper out in the game by saying " I got love for you niggas, but I'm trying to murder you niggas/ make sure sure your core fans never heard of you niggas. His whole verse was in attack mode and I loved every bar . This is what hip hop needs right now because these rappers are playing. No one is taking this shit seriously but Kendrick is. The rappers that he targeted in the verse were Drake, J Cole, Pusha T , Big Krit, Mac Miller and the list goes on. Maybe this is a wake up call to get these rappers to get their mind right. Good Job Kendrick take this game by storm!!!!

DRAKE DECLARES KANYE WEST AS HIS FAVORITE RAPPER

2013-08-07T02:44:00.001-07:00

OOOO Wayne is going to be mad. During Drakes :4th annual OVO Festival, the rapper claimed that the GOOD MUSIC CEO was indeed his favorite rapper. It was rumored that the two artist were in a feud once Drake's career started to take off. When Drake first came out , I admit that I felt like Drizzy was stealing Kanye West's flow , but on the other hand Drake kind of woke Ye up. Hence the "Eatch The Throne album". Kanye west went even further during the performance to stop the music and say " If it wasn't for this N *** Drake coming out, Jay and I would have never made our album. Wow!!!Talk about Homage.

ON DA BOX...MGK "Champions"

2013-08-05T20:25:00.001-07:00

I don't know about you , but this kid MGK ( Machine Gun Kelly ) is a fresh breath of air coming into the hip hop game. I'm going to be honest when I say this but at first I was sleeping on him. My first thought was ," wow another Eminem wannabe". Upon further research, I've come to the conclusion that MFK is in his own lane and he has a whole moment to back him up. There is no comparison between him and Em. The thing that scares me about him though is his label. If you don't know MGK signed with Bad Boy Records * enter crickets * everybody knows that Diddy loves to jerk his artist , but it seems that MGK has free reign to move his movevent however he chooses. His debut album " LACE UP " features the singles " Wild Boy , Hold Up featuring Young Jeezy. His album has gray beats, great flow and thought provoking meaning . If you haven't heard MGK , do yourself a favor and #LACEUP

MGK was featured in XXL Freasgman class of 2012

I WON'T COMPLAIN

THE KING OF HIP HOP SOUL-ALCHAUCNY PREPS FOR THE RELEASE OF HIS ALBUM

2013-06-27T21:46:00.000-07:00

Carolina's Mayor Al Chauncy is prepping for the release of his debut album entitled "Late For Church". I'm excited because this is huge for Carolina. He has a sound like no other in the industry and I know that he is going to touch all colors like his name's Kelis. He is a breath of fresh air for an industry that embodies watered down music. He is going to put the soul back into music, bring back that pure, raw essence back into the game. In the meantime check out my homie video "Ready". He calls himself the King of Hip Hop Soul and he embodies this to the fullest. Enjoy the video because the song is a classic. #TEAMALCHAUNCY #RALEIGHATL

K.MICHELLE PUSHED BACK THE ALBUM , BUT SHE HAS SOMETHING FOR THE FANS....

2013-06-27T21:35:00.001-07:00

So K.Michelle is making us wait until August to drop her most anticipated album "Rebellious Soul". I'm pissed but the diva didn't disappoint me that much because she just dropped a three track EP called " The Hold Over". This three track ep is so cold and filled with pure emotion on songs entitled " Pain Killer, Wish I was Her and Million Hearts. When I first heard that she dropped this I just had to check it out because I know that it was fire. As I was listening, my mouth couldn't shut, my head was swaying to the smooth tunes and getting all emotional listening to her. When you listen to her, you can tell that she doesn't stray far from her true RnB roots and she always delivers. With that being said make sure that you get your listen on and cop this shit. You will not regret it. Also if you haven't downloaded V.S.O.P , then get your ass over to ITUNES and get it. I put the link below so that you can get "The Hold Over". Peace.

ROUNDTABLE is more than a blog

2013-05-31T22:59:00.001-07:00

Dear Roundtable,

It's like 1:53 and I ca not sleep. The one thing that pops into my mind at this moment is Jonosroundtable . This right here is so much more than my half slurred video, celebrity pics, or even the blog itself. The Roundtable is me. And if you have known me for years then you know that I like to have my paws in more than one cookie jar. I mean come on, you've seen my belly right? Jokes aside I really want to make Jonosroundtable a certified brand. I'm talking website, t shirts , fitted caps, sunglasses etc. To me it's a movement and my ideas are endless. I could sit here and tell u all of them but I feel it's best that I show you instead of telling you. With that being said stay tinned, watch and LIKE, COMMENT and SHARE my video. Ill love you forever if you do.
