Time for another fantasy bike creation, of course the essential elements must be there, industrial exposed detailing components which are so crucial in making a bike design successful, special emphasis on the nubby tire on the rear, slick on the front not to mention the single arm both front and rear, stay tuned...

I never get tired of doodling old skool cars and trucks, this time pick up flat bed with that nostalgic feel and a touch of modern detailing twist...enjoyed the intricate detailing of the retro style wire wheel like alloys=)

Surely more time is needed to finish off this rendering/sketch than the opponent sketch before. In term of speed definitely less is more as the essence since the faster we can convey the idea/message across the more efficient that's why less is more comes into play as only primary features are highlighted and everything else is secondary...

Of course doing a full blown sketch is just as rewarding as the minimalist approach just adding the details make the whole composition more lively and realistic, example above just showed more time spent and bit more highlight details added.

Less is more as the saying goes...I never fully appreciate the wisdom behind it, at least from the rendering point of it, until recently. The trick of forcing the eyes to see what is available and focusing on it really make an impact and also accentuate the focal point. At the same token, by focusing what already is less, the details must be immaculate to viewers or flaws would be clearly visible and back fire.

Obviously my less is more approach needs more training and will practice more, here's a sneak peek of my yet to be perfected focal details...

I'll always love classics...and turn them into customs by adding some modern features into the rides,blog header however, would be a great flash back to see how I first started.

As the first post after redesigning the graphic outlook of this blog, I've put in the old skool mark 1 blog header. From black to white, quite the opposite to black swan, from white to black Birdie. Since I got this cool sphere label with interactive magic ball 3D like tool, I like it so much that I'm willing to change the entire blog to match the magic ball labels on top right. The blog is due for a make over anyway with too many square boxes in between feeling rigid and busy.

With the new white background though, the images and the background blend quite well and not so much rigid to the extend that I sometimes had to do invert of a sketch just so that the image I post blend in better with the environment (case in point, my MK1 header). With the white background coupled with my subtle custom jooloot logo wrap behind giving it a bit of depth the blog definitely is more easy to the eyes now.

Will explore and improve the blog for better viewing pleasure. The header look a wee bit pale and out of place and still in need of upgrading. Looking back, my first header looks more like a heavy metal rock band site than a design blog, the flip side though, jooloot is better designed now,better tomorrow.

Side view of the legendary CVCC...I'm on this cycle again first CVCC, then came to my senses in terms of investment and go looking for popular classics and would rationalize on the motives of the purchase and finally decided my true love...CVCC, or is it...the cycle continues to loop, but I think I'm hook to classics, that I'm sure =)

old skool cvcc

One of my favorite old school classic, I used to drive a 4 door cvcc but my dream is to own a 2 door fully restored, bullet proof and super power packed for daily use that I don't have to worry about it breaking down...for that of course a deep pocket is in order...to strip don to pieces and rebuilt, in theory...

And after further consideration, the money spent would be better invested on more popular classics like mini and beetle...for better resale value. CVCC aquired taste...

first ever digital rendering

My first ever digital rendering done some time ago with just mouse using Photoshop...really like the water color effect of the finishing but I had no idea what brush stroke I used and I couldn't reproduce the same brush effect, well not as organic as this but the final product is quite pleasing...

Military convoy concept with focus on highlight running through out the profile of vehicle...big nubby tires to give high clearance and approach angle. You don't usually see high glossy green machines though..just practice.

Literally, it was a demo piece before the break and I was contemplating of just roughly sketching out the overall shape and the design spirit got better of me and finally it was a race against time to finish off the demo before the break. Slapping some bright colors in to give it a nice contrast especially from far since demo sketches are meant to be seen from near as well as far to get visitors' attention to come to our booth.

The result is quite refreshing as only necessary toning and just enough highlights were put in to communicate the essential profile that I wanted to focus on and leaving everything else secondary...this thing of prolong sketching will ended up putting too much details and at times a little overwhelming and loosing focus..

Really enjoying the pleasure of pushing hybrid/battery packaging limits with minimum front hood design and super compact envelop with all wheels at corners of vehicle to give better stance and stability to handling and ride comfort...and look cool =)
