Something Wonderful Has Happened

Something really fantastic happened last night. Barack Obama has been elected 44th President of the United States of America. Now take a look at this more closely because it's more profound than you might think.

It's not just about electing an African American to the presidency but also the changing of the guard. It's a brave new world and everyone senses it.

Have you noticed how the "old guard" republicans have already condemned and doomed this administration to failure? These are the scare tactics they have used ad nauseum forever but it will not work on the enlightened people any longer.

This shift in consciousness is beyond just the election of a young, intelligent and visionary new president. It's also about how the WORLD feels the hope as well, and how we are perceived; that we can shift the hatred, racism and warmongering practices this administration and former republican administrations have wreaked upon the world for far too long.

THIS IS SOMETHING WONDERFUL!

We are living in wonderful times and this is a new energy that will transcend the old politics and rhetoric we've endured since the deaths of Bobby and MLK, Jr.; that we have indeed reached the promise land we have sought for many years. This is not Utopian; this is the real deal.

Let's all get together and make this work for us here in the US and for everyone abroad too.

Get To Your End Game

What does getting to your end game mean anyway? Well, I know this much; you can't get to your destination or anywhere if you don't know where you want to go, right?

To better explain this, my friend Christine Comaford wrote an in depth article to clear the air so to speak.

She is author of her book, Rules For Renegades, and is uniquely qualified to guide us to our end game. So without further adieu, heeeeeeeeeere's Christine!

So many entrepreneurs set out building a business with fabulous intentions. That's why it's such a tragedy that so many businesses never reach acceleration and success. What happens? And how can we build thriving healthy lucrative fun businesses? What's the secret?

You need three things. That's it. I promise.

First you need a support system. The key components of a successful support system are a mentor, a coach, and a community. Your mentor helps you strategize and do only the activities that "move the needle" – meaning that move your company forward from zero to 10 miles per hour, or from 10 to 40 mph, or from 40 to 90 mph. Your mentor helps you distill your business to its essence and thus focus on only the activities that matter right now.

Your coach holds you accountable to the goals you set and commitments you make, while also helping you remove any internal roadblocks/blind spots you may encounter on the road to success. Your community provides a fun group of like-minded entrepreneurs who are fellow travelers.

Your vision is your own, and is unaffected by others' desires, expectations or beliefs in you. Be bold in creating your vision, and reach not just for what you want, but also for what you want for your loved ones. Make your vision so powerful that, each time you revisit it, you are moved, inspired and reconnected with your reason for working on your business, and the legacy you want to leave.

Take a moment now and envision your company's future. We guide our Business Growth Blueprint program members through a detailed vision exercise to facilitate this essential exercise. Make Your Blog Go Viral

People tend to think of blogs today the way that websites were thought of ten years ago: “All I have to do is get a site up and I’ll instantly get tons of traffic and my business will take off.” That was the case for a brief time with websites, but it’s no longer the case with blogs.

Here are 13 practical ways you can grow the readership of your blog to help it go viral:

1. First determine why you’re blogging. Who is your audience? What are your goals? What are your readers interested in? If you create compelling content for readers, readers will naturally come back to your blog to read more.

2. Do basic research. Go to Technorati and search for keywords related to your target audience and the topics you want to focus on. While there, try to answer these questions: Who are the influential bloggers in your space? Who is successful at getting in front of the readers you want to get in front of?

3. Avoid sub domains. Never set up a blog under a sub-domain. Install your blog on your own domain as a sub-page, or if you don’t have a domain, get one

4. Create a content schedule. Determine a steady schedule for how you’ll post, and plan ahead to create structure around your workload. If you plan to post on Tuesdays and Fridays, for example, put it on your calendar. While you’re at it, take the time to determine what topics you’ll cover on those days.

5. Be personal. Post a photo of yourself and/or your team, and write good bios to enhance your credibility and demonstrate that you’re a real person to your readers. This engages your audience.

6. Be first. Being the first one to post breaking news is a relatively easy way to go viral.

7. Stay on top of what other bloggers are saying. If an influential blogger posts about a topic and you disagree with their viewpoint, link to their post and state your position. Don’t worry about taking a different position or even being negative, as long as you’re not insulting. Disagreement creates interaction and interaction builds a community. If you say the same thing everyone else does, why should people read your blog?

8. Pay attention to social networking sites. Take the time to study the social sites to see what people like. An article that goes “popular” on Digg can generate tens of thousands of visitors to your site. The same is true for StumbleUpon or del.icio.us

9. Stay in control of your blog. Real time statistics from your blog are important, so keep up with your live stats so you can see what works and what doesn’t.

10. Make it easy for your readers: Put your RSS feed in a prominent place. RSS feeds let users display the content from multiple blogs through one program so they can easily see the latest posts from all their favorite blogs. Many visitors prefer to use RSS feeds to subscribe to your content so they don’t have to visit your blog through a browser.

11. Rinse and repeat. Watch your blog carefully to see what works. And know that some blogs do better on StumbleUpon, some blogs do really well on Digg, and others seem to perform better on del.icio.us.

12. Don’t try to please everyone. Have opinions and stand by them. Even if everyone doesn’t love what you do, that’s okay. Some of my favorite blogs are ones I frequently disagree with. Even though I have a different opinion their posts make me think … which makes me come back for more.

13. Finally, don’t get discouraged. Many bloggers write a couple of posts, don’t see much traffic, and give up. Building a readership and going viral takes time and experience. It takes effort to find ways to get your particular audience to visit, comment on your posts, and recommend you to others – but it’s worth it.

Do this and you're bound to see your blog go viral gathering more and more traffic to your sites and your offers.

Change Is Truly In The Air

Dear Reader,

I want to talk about the "surge". No, not the one in Iraq but the one happening right now, today in America.

I was watching c-span the other night and I came across Barack Obama talking to a huge crowd in Ohio. He was charasmatically mesmerizing to say the least but what really caught my eye was his interest in bring back, and nurturing, the ARTS.

This is important because he is the only candidate that even mentions the imbalance that is prevalent in society today, something I have dedicated my life to changing as well with my non profit United Arts Movement International.

According to what he said, he will bring arts, nutrition, scholastic excellence and invest in our youth, and I have to say that makes me feel real good about Barack Obama. Look, I'm not politically involved usually because, well, over the years I have seen the deterioration of our political system, especially the voting aspect of it. I just lost faith in it and haven't voted in over 30 years.

But there is something about Barack, his wife Michelle and the campaign he is running. When he speaks, he doesn't look at some paper with the same words we've heard year after year, like his opponents do. He speaks from his heart; you can tell.

They are telling it like it IS, to coin a phrase from Howard Cosell, and that's more than anyone has done in politics in longer than I can remember, and that's a long time. Their truths are apparent and up front and even if you don't agree with their truths, you must admire them for standing up for them.

Michelle Obama the other day said that for the FIRST TIME, she was proud of America. All the pundits went crazy over that phrase as if she were some kind of traitor but in fact her truth was that politics had abandoned America and its people in favor of profits from the war, corporate injustices and law breaking situations from the current administration.

Any american with eyes open can see what she meant and I agree with her especially when America, and those that can, begin supporting the Arts Movement once again. This is the biggest step in the change that is needed and United Arts Movement International leads the way in bringing the balance and emotional release our young people require to manifest positive outcomes to any negative situation they happen to find themselves in.

So do I endorse Barack Obama? I certainly do but do you have to in order to support the United Arts Movement International? You certainly do not and your contribution to help me lower teen suicides, depression and violence, to stop mass murders in our colleges, malls and public places by young adults lacking balance in their lives, is much needed and always appreciated.

Doing Internet Marketing or Anything Spiritually, and Attaining

The superbowl this year turned out pretty well and the interesting part of this game was that it pitted "the cerebral against the brawn".

You have Manning, who has a cranium the size of a watermelon and one of the savviest coaches in Tony Dungy to ever play the game utilizing the best his team has to offer.

Then there is Urlacher, who has the neck as wide as the Sears Tower is tall, is a big nasty but fast player with a coach Lovie Smith, who is also very savvy.

Interestingly enough both these teams prepared themselves early on physically but more importantly mentally to attain the right to fight in the super bowl. I say fight because it is not a game for children. It truly is a fight to the finish.

That's not an easy feat because there are "obstacles" along the way like twenty five other teams vying for the same target, the press putting every player down, not to mention thoughts of everyday life they must overcome in order to reach the pinnacle of success!

So it is with you if you are on the path of reaching a higher plane than where you are at now.

You must prepare yourself, "mentally" as well as keeping your balance in the other areas of your life too. Balance is key to the preparation formula of success because without it you can never stay focused long enough to attain your dream.

Yes you must have:

a burning desire
have specialized knowledge
take action
staying focused
being decisive

But you must understand that having balance in your life is key in having success in your life.

And mentally you must always go over the positive steps that will bring to you that which you desire most. You have to believe in yourself that your vision is in alignment with what you really want.

Anyway, I want to address a few things here about being an "online E-preneur" and what it takes. I'm talking about my experiences but I can guarantee that everyone that starts a business feels like this and goes through this including all the "BIG GURUS" you've heard about.

I started out as an online e-preneur several years ago. Back then, it was all narcissistic really. More like, "Look at me! I'm online! A-nuk nuk". Shit, I didn't have any idea of the potential the internet had or what the heck being online was really all about.

Truth is I struggled much like many of you are today. To be even more frank, sometimes I struggle today. Yep, even still and perhaps not in the same way as back then, but with the new things I am trying to accomplish.

You've all heard the different axioms like:

1. The 80/20 rule
2. The money is in the list
3. I'll help you build a list with my program for FREE except you get three names every ten weeks
4. I'll help you if you give me 10,000 bucks and 500 a month

I could go on and on because I have heard it all. So folks, this is not a negative post. What I want you to do is FOCUS; focus on who you are and what you do really well.

Don't fall into the trap of believing that if you join all these programs and buy all these products you'll be rich overnight! Yeah, 5 or 10 years later it will look like overnight, and that's only if you persevere and stick with it.

The Who asked the question well. Who are you? What do you know really well that you think others, like you, know how to do?

Ask yourself, what's your main motivation as to what and why you want to be an online entrepreneur. Do you really even know? Do you have a unique selling proposition and do you know what that really is or means?

Do you have a plan of action and have you written it down so you can come back to it later and see if you are accomplishing your goals and actions? Having a plan of action will give you the insight you need. . . into yourself and your belief of your business.

Yes, business because being online cruising and surfing is not a business. Creating a website without really knowing what you are selling to people that actually relate to you is a losing proposition.

Focus my friend, on yourself, what you want your lifestyle to be and will your online experience provide you the lifestyle you seek? You see it is not all dollars and cents all the time. It really is a LIFE CHOICE and your online business must support that lifestyle you want to attain and relish.

Otherwise you have traded one JOB for another JOB, and that is not the way to go. You might as well stay where you are at. But if you can have free time to spend with your children, sleep in when you want to, golf whenever you feel like it and play hoochie coochie with your lover when you want, then start focusing on your who you are and where you are so you can get to where you want to be.

One of my mentors taught me that and I haven't looked back ever since.

How to Promote your eBay business (with three letters)

I have been working my eBay business but lately not enough. I know that there is so much more to do than what I am doing but... well there's that word, but... with everything happening how do I keep up with the latest trends or techniques?

As with any business, you're "dead in the water" unless there are paying customers to keep you "afloat". Those customers are called 'Traffic' (whether you're operating Online or Offline).

But how do you get targeted Traffic (your prospective customers)to look in your direction in the quickest time possible? I'll answer that in 3 letters...

PPC... Otherwise known as 'Pay Per Click' advertising.

A simplistic explanation of P.P.C advertising is that you're paying when someone clicks on an Ad that you've placed whichis writtenn to attract very targeted customers who are searchingfor yourr exact product or service.

How are they searching? By entering Keywords and phrasesinto thee search engines. All you need to do to get your "billboard" in front of them isto make a list of the Keywords that most of these people are using (to search for your products or services) and bid on those Keywords on a per-click basis.

Most P.P.C. search engines typically allow a minimum of 10 cents per click (some may be as low as .05 cents). It's easy to find out what Keywords are being used in the search engines. I use a free piece of software called Good Keywords to extract this information from the search engines in just seconds.

Once you have a list of Keywords in place, you'll want to create your Ad using a few of those keywords in the Ad's text. Once you determine your budget, what you want to pay per-click, post your Ad with search engines who offer P.P.C. advertising options.

I'll give you a link to the most popular of these search engines in a moment. Now when anyone types in a keyword that you've bid on, your Ad will show up. If it gets the prospective customer's attention, they'll click on it to go to your site (auction store, etc) to get more information. The rest is up to you to close the sale.

Let me share with you a story about this single mom on welfare and what happened to her. This is as inspiring as it can get.

What Google Doesn't Tell You About Adsense

What Do I Do If My AdSense Account Gets Closed?

A week does not go by that I don't get an email from someone telling me that their AdSense account was closed.

Most often, the email from the AdSense team starts with...

"It has come to our attention that invalid clicks have been generated on the Google ads on your site(s). We have therefore disabled your Google AdSense account. Please understand that this step was taken in an effort to protect the interest of the AdWords advertisers."

The notice goes on to state that an account can be closed for a variety of reason, including violations of terms of service. Frequently, the reason cited is "invalid clicks"

An email to Google usually solicits this response...

"As you know, Google treats instances of invalid clicks very seriously. By disabling your account, we feel that we have taken the necessary measures to ensure that invalid clicks will not continue to occur on your site. Due to the proprietary nature of our monitoring system, we're not able to disclose any specific details of these clicks."

So what is an AdSense publisher to do when their account is closed?

First of all, realize that very few succeed in getting their accounts reopened. But that doesn't mean it is impossible!

Start by evaluating your server logs. Is there an unusual amount of traffic coming from one IP? Could it be that you are a victim of a vigilante click attack?

If this is the case, be sure to save a copy of this data as you will need it to show to Google.
Next, write to Google and ask them to clarify their reason.

BE POLITE! Realize that there is another human being reading your email and they are simply doing their job.

If you run up against a roadblock, write them again and plead your case. If you are certain that you did not violate TOS and that you are not responsible for any fraudulent clicks, you can say so with a clear conscience.

Note: If you share your computer with another person, make sure that person or persons is not responsible for clicking on your ads. They might have thought they were doing you a a favor!

Google is pretty good about responding, so wait and see what they say. BE POLITE! Don't demand that your account be reopened. Don't get all flustered or vent anger through your email.
This won't serve any purpose.

Explain everything that you have done in regards to AdSense. If you don't hear from Google, don't give up! If you know you are innocent, simply continue politely writing their team. Be sure to keep track of all correspondence and leave it attached to each email you send.

Occasionally... and I do mean ocassionally, Google will review the suspected fraudulent clicks and find that you have not done anything wrong. I know for a fact that accounts HAVE been reinstated.

There are no guarantees. But it never hurts to ask.

And did I mention...
When writing Google... BE POLITE!

If all else fails, perhaps it is time to try another contextual ad service for your site(s). Some to experiment with are:
