It's always great to have a photogenic family.
Yesterday my ladies, my sister and her boyfriend went on a photo walk in Canal Fulton. While I have been to Canal Fulton for things like the ALIVE Festival and Sluggers and Putters, I never realized how beautifully historic the town is. But anyways i digress, here are some shots I took of my beautiful sister and her boyfriend.

Now that the initial moving is done we are finally getting into the decorating or the "making it feel like home" phase.
If you have read the blog before you know that I absolutely love to take pictures. Well if all I do is take pictures, no one gets to see the work I've done. So I came up with the idea to display the pictures in word form on the wall.
The first design is seen below: LOVE.
I have to admit that this design was a carry over from our previous house. But I have updated some pictures and redesigned the "o".
Stay tuned because in the coming months I am going to be completing another word for display in the dining room. Thanks to my wife for the idea!

I've been a bad blogger. Two weeks ago I did not post my photos and yesterday I was just too lazy to get em up. So I gave myself a timeout (where were these when I was getting the wooden spoon to the backside?) to "think about" what I've done .
After some discussion, myself and I came to a conclusion that I need to be more disciplined in my photography endeavors.

Do you remember the WWJD bracelets? Like most great ideas, they were great out of the gate and then "The Man" got a hold of the idea and commercialized it to death.
Well, just like Justin Timberlake brought sexy back, I want to revive the WhatWouldJesusDo idea here.
There seems to be a lot more stories in the news nowadays that make me think "How would Jesus react to, speak into, deal with this situation?" So I'm gonna search the web for stories, post them here, and ask you What would Jesus Do?

First day in a new school

Today my girls started in a new school district due to us purchasing a home. While I saw no evidences of them being nervous, I know from experience that starting at a new school is always scary. If you have a second, say a prayer of peace for them.

My family and I have been renting a home for a little over 4 years now. With the housing market being buyer's market and interest rates still low, we decided it was time to put down roots somewhere permanently.
We searched all summer for the "perfect" house. After walking through around 8 or so houses, we found this little gem in North Canton. Our Realtor Tiffany Pepper, whom we highly recommend, showed us this house the day we were going to make an offer on a different house. It became love at first sight for us and we went to McDonald's to fill out an offer sheet that day! All that's left now is for the exterior to be painted and
we are in like Flynn.
Note the love affair the previous owner had with wood paneling. Yes it will be painted.

Remember when you thought you knew more than your mother? She would tell you things like "Don't eat all that candy before bed!" But you would eat it anyways only to wake up in the middle of the night regurgitating that same candy all over your pillow.

This little guy was found under my dog Lucky's box. Lucky was

digging with all his might tryin to get this baby bunny out.

The Missional Church Network has a great post of some reflections by Thomas a Kempis on Jesus.
This quote especially has me checking my heart:

“Many love Christ as long as they encounter no hardship; many praise and bless him as long as they receive some comfort from him. But if Jesus hides himself and leaves them for a while, they either start complaining or become dejected. Those, on the contrary, who love him for his own sake and not for any comfort of their own, praise him both in trial and anguish of heart as well as in the bliss of consolation. Even if Jesus should never comfort them, they would continue to praise and thank him. What power there is in a pure love for Jesus—love that is free from all self-interest and self-love!”
