Experimenting with Adverts

Because I am ~~super famous~~ eligible for monetization on both YouTube and Blogger, I am having a bit of a fiddle about with advertisements on this blog and on My YouTube Channel. Don't worry too much about it though, they might not be here to stay. And you don't have to look at them at all if you download AdBlock software.

The basic reason as to why I am adding adverts to my blog is because I am a student, being a musician is expensive and I have just forked out a whole buttload of money on sexy new music software.
I would eventually like my own place to live and housing is also expensive, but whatever.

The adverts will be displayed at the bottom of posts, so you don't even have to look at them.
My blog will not change in any other way, you'll still get the same quality posts and the layout of the site isn't changing. Like I said, the adverts might not even be here to stay, I can turn them off and I probably will soon.

Be glad I didn't go for the option where you have to look at them whenever you read a post!

I've finished SSI, but will probably work more on it. Today i'm taking a break at Ellen's house, but even now i'm on the laptop advertising my gig for MMP! So i'm still doing college work!

Monday a new Nublet will be recorded, produced and shoved on the internet for your listening pleasure!

Awful, I know, but it's true! Although I don't like labeling people, in any sense... Gay, Straight, Sherlockian, whovian, Nerdfighter, Juggalo, Monster, Lion, Christian, White, European, Pastafarian WHATEVER. We're all human and that's what matters, which brings me to my next subject.

Energy.
Some people still act as if we have all the energy in the world and using it up ain't doing no harm to no-one. Well, you're wrong. The UK's energy board is running on fossil fuels and nuclear power, which is dangerous to the environment.
I know what you're thinking, you're barraged with messages like this every day: "Save The Whales!" and so forth, but if you do a conscious effort to save energy, you could help keep this world a nice place to live in. As I type i'm in the dark with all lights out and scented candle lighting the room.
You don't have to go to this extreme length, but just think when you enter a room... "Does the light need to be turned on?" "Can I see in this room without it?" and when you exit a room, turn the light off! It's basic stuff, but it makes a difference!

Rubbish!
Have you ever noticed how much shit is just thrown about on the streets? The bins are there for a reason! Don't just throw stuff away on the pavement, put it in a bin, or if it can be recycled, recycle it!
This morning while waiting for the bus I was picking up cigarette butts and putting them in the nearby bin, just to make the place look nicer! Next time you go for a walk, look around, look for the rubbish, look for the crisp packet in the bush, look for the cigarette butt on the floor. Pick up one piece of rubbish you find and put it in the bin. (And then wash your hands)

Another thing is chewing gum, it's fucking everywhere! I find that if you're chewing gum and you're not near a bin, I like to put it in a crack in the pavement or a crack in the road. If everyone did that then all the roads would be flat and all the pavements would be level, too!

Just think, man! Don't be a dick to our planet.

Life never goes as you plan it.
but things are going well and that's all that matters. I had some annoyances with my bank because they were being poos and now I godda wait before getting Logic Pro.

Krisi and I have finished Death Note and the next Anime of choice is Fruits Basket, a more childish anime, but I am enjoying it. We're up to episode 7.

I have finally watched Inception and it was nothing like Inception. You know when people say "A thing within a thing! It's like Inception!" That's nothing like what Inception was like! Anyways, I enjoyed it and against popular opinion, I think the ending is quite definite.

I helped Krisi with a video for college and I hope to every deity that it never gets published to anywhere ever.

I'm going up north for the holidays, but i'm taking my things, so you may see posts from me. I hope to buy my valentines day present for Krisi for when I come back down.

Now that i'm in charge of my own money, I've realised how little of it I have in terms of essentials.
Money sucks. I might just go live with a tribe and build my own house and not have to pay rent to anyone.

Socks, Shoes Underwear... simple, I guess.

Moving things.
Cooking... not hard. Eating out is option. £.

Out the window.
Friends.
Income for outcome makes income for outgoings.
Internet.

If there actually were Fashion Police?

They would patrol the streets in the latest new fashions and would give arrest those who broke the rules of fashion. If your lipstick clashed with your skin tone or eye colour? ARRESTED!
Being arrested by the Fashion Police isn't a bad thing though, you just ge a makeover and have to sit through a lecture of the rules of fashion.

There would be meetings at the house of commons to announce new styles.

I don't really have a back-up plan. I don't have anything to look forward to, i'm not going to university, I don't have a job, I don't have a house, I don't have a girlfriend or anything.

I don't usually think of the future, but I don't see one! I got nothing... I got a band together... Lets see how that goes.

There's a place

A place where I can do what I want and make as much noise as I want and it's mine and I can make wonderful music and listen to wonderful music as loud as I want until 11PM.
...My studio is beautiful. I love it so much right now, I'm listening to beautiful music through a PA system and it's filling the small room with sound.
Sure, it's small, it's cramped, it's cold, it's leaky... but it's mine.
I can lock myself in and sit for hours and just make music, I can do what I want!

Yeah, it's a shed with insulation and carpeting and a drum kit and a piano and a... Josh in it.
But fuck... It's mine! I OWN THIS. And all that's inside it.
I'm safe here. Not in my bedroom, that's connected to the house, people can access it. People can stand outside it and do things and I can hear them. Here, I can't hear a thing. I love it.

Since I've been spending more time in my studio... it's reminded me of the times I had at Hope's house. That feeling of independence... That feeling of solidarity and friendship. It's here. In my studio.

I love it so much.

3 Setlists

I have 3 setlists of songs to learn. Which is cool, I guess because I love learning songs but 27 songs is a lot of songs to memorise on various instruments. A couple of them I have to write!

I don't like revealing setlists, as I like to keep them secret until they are performed. The bands I am learning songs for are:

Yeah, that happened. I'm sad about it and stuff, but I just was not happy with the relationship. Differences... Love... Stuff... [Insert words here]

MattBusby and I have sorted out a LOT of band stuff and are still brainstorming songs and bandnames, which is cool. We have a lineup sorted, we just need to finish off the final touches before we get up and practicing.

Enter Shikari's new album went to #1 in the Mid-Week charts, which is fucking awesome in terms of the music industry. Enter Shikari formed their own record label: Ambush Reality and with no help from any major record labels, their album went to #1! It just goes to show that by doing your own thing you can achieve success.

I went to Eden yesterday with Bel for Stargazing Live, hoping to see Prof. Brian Cox, turns out he wasn't there and it was too cloudy to see any stars, but I did get some cool stuff. Yay.

I know I keep banging on about this gig that Charlie Prospect have, but it's really fucking important that people go!

It's on the 29th of February, Leap Year Day!

A Flash Flood of Colour came today

I won't ruin it, I promise. I just wanted to talk about album length.

Take to The Skies: 52:53

You could fit in an 8 minute song in the new album, just to bring it up to the length of the old album!
Now you may argue that Take To The Skies is only long because of all the interludes, but I liked the interludes! I fact, I loved them.
I would have waited for them to make an 8 minute song and push back release if it made it a better album!
Anyways... Yeah.

My CD player

Not bad

This is gonna be labelled as the second Friday the 13th blog post. It's not. The first was posted yesterday but really late... Yeah.

Today I woke up late, but I felt good! I felt better! The sun was all shining and shit, it was awesome.
I showered, which felt great and then started my coursework. I got through a good deal of it before Busby texted me asking to meet me. I was doing my hair and eating breakfast, but I needed to go into town to buy another USB to MIDI cable, so that I can finish the composition part of my coursework.
Met up with Busby, went shopping, nearly bought a money clip, bought my cable at an extortionate price and then met up with Hope. Hope and Busby were gay together, then we went to WHSmiths, where I got more music related things in the form of magazines and software, which came with magazines. Busby got burgers then I went home and did some more work.

Today has been very work orientated, but then, I love my work.
Next on the list: Logic Pro.

Why do you have to make that so fucking hard for me, Apple? Hmmn?

First of all I blew a fortune on this new MacBook WHICH DOESN'T HAVE A CD DRIVE OR MICROPHONE INPUT. and it comes with Garageband.
Which is fine, I assume because it's built into apple computers, it must be good, yeah?

No.

It's shit. It's fucking ass and not in a good way. I can't make music with this piece of shit. I need Logic Pro.
Can I get it?

No.

At 17, I didn't have a bank card. I had to wait until my bank card arrived. That's fine, it's only a couple weeks until it arrives and i'm 18.
Can I get it now?

NO.

My bank card is a link card, which lets me withdraw money from my account, but is not a credit or debit card. I cannot buy things online.
That's fine, I'll just download the free stuff off the app store right?

NO.

Because my Apple ID isn't linked with a credit or debit card, it won't even let me download freeware I could use to make music.
That's okay! I'll just mosey on down to Stormfront and buy a copy of the software in person!

Video Games I am playing and My illness

I go through video games differently to most people I know. Instead of playing 2 or more games at once, I play one game until I complete it and then move on to the next. Unless it is absolutely awful.

Because I am very ill, I can barely play video games at the moment, they make my head hurt.

Lets talk about my illness some more, shall we? ....Yes.

I have the sorest of throats, it hurts to talk, breathe, swallow, eat or drink. I have to gargle asprin every 4 hours or so, I've also been taking lozenges and such, but it doesn't feel like it's getting better. I get occasional headaches and I am CONSTANTLY tired. I get dizzy when I stand up or walk about and I am always either freezing or boiling. My sinuses hurt when I bend over and when I sneeze, it feels like my head is exploding. I have very bad tinnitus (Ringing of the ears) and everything is loud.

I dunno what I've got, but I can't go to the doctors as I get too dizzy when I walk. Going from room to room in my own house is a chore.

I'm sad I missed college today, I like Tuesdays.

Tv Programmes Pt.2

What is this horrific brain numbing excuse for a television programme? I question its very existence and I loathe the fact it was allowed to be filmed, edited, produced and broadcast on national Television. ~~This ballsack of a programme,~~ This festering abortion of a programme happens to be one that my mother and sister watch excessively. The idea behind it is a bunch of rich pricks have a camera crew following them and people are interested in what they do and their relationships. I assume people that watch this programme either have no human interaction whatsoever or have forgotten to change the channel.

Imagine Twilight: The TV series. But instead of vampires it's rich, annoying dicks with bad accents and poor acting. The idea is that it's half acted, there's like half a script or something... they're directed to go places and do stuff, but they aren't told what to say. Because they all have the collective IQ of a 5 inch metallic screwdriver, the dialogue is so awful that you want to extract your brain with a 5 inch metallic screwdriver.

I hate this programme.

TV Programmes will probably become a recurring thing that happens every now and then when I watch a good/bad programme. Look out for them every now and then, because I'm highly opinionated on TV programmes.

Tv Programmes Pt. 1

If you read my Family Guy Vs. American Dad post, then you'll know that I have some kind of opinion on TV. As a child, I grew up watching programmes such as Rugrats, Sesame Street, Elmo's world and Pokemon, but I'd like to just talk about some TV programmes and just give my opinions of them, why they're good, why they're bad, etc. But mostly, i'll be moaning about why they're not being shown anymore.

The first one I'm gonna start with is Futurama
Now I went over Futurama very briefly in my Family Guy Vs. American Dad post, but I'd like to talk about it a bit more in depth.
Futurama is made by Matt Groening, the man behind The Simpsons, now what's clever about Futurama is that it's a Futuristic Animated Sitcom that isn't family related (Yes, it's a sitcom, look it up on Wikipedia's list of sitcoms: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sitcoms). Most big name sitcoms are based around a family, The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, King of The Hill Raising Hope, The Fresh Prince of Bel air, The Addams Family, The Munsters... although that was pretty much a parody of The Addams Family anyways, Futurama doesn't do that.

In a world of family related comedies, Futurama goes to the year 3000, sticks a stupid guy in from the year 2000 in there and he works for his nephew, a scientist with his friends a Robot named Bender and a cyclops. Now either Matt was smoking something that I wanna get my hands on, or he is a GENIUS. There's no way I can summarise the entire of Futurama because it's just so vast, but the main themes are that Fry, the idiot, is always trying to get with Leela, the cyclops, Farnsworth, the professor, comes up with new inventions every now and then and Bender, the robot, is an alcoholic.

There are many other main characters and side characters, each with their own stories. There are aliens, robots, robot aliens, alien robots, cyborgs, plasmids, cyclopses, artificial intelligence personalities, humans, humanoids, EVERYTHING. Futurama is the Sci-Fi Sit-Com with a difference. I love it! But I don't get it! It's not available on any of the channels I receive on TV. It used to be shown on T4 in the mornings, but not anymore, which is sad because it's one of my favourite programmes of all time!

English TV channels: BRING BACK FUTURAMA!
Futurama was cancelled for a few years, but a new series was released, which got high reception, so it's back on TV, but on sky! I don't get Sky TV!

My Name Is Earl
Another SitCom, I know, but hear me out on this one. My Name is Earl has got to be my favourite programme ever, I think. It's close between Futurama and Earl. Anyways, My Name is Earl was a show about a bad guy named (Guess what) Earl. He got a lottery scratchcard and won, when celebrating, he got hit by a car, which made him lose the ticket. In hospital he watched a talk-show with someone talking about Karma and he thought that maybe if he made up for all the bad things he'd done in life, he'd get nicer things happening to him.
Now isn't that just a FUCKING GENIUS IDEA FOR A SHOW?! Because of the nature of the show, I think Earl is a 15+ programme, but still. For anyone watching, it's good moral fibre. A guy who did bad stuff is now doing good stuff!

The characters in Earl are brilliant.
We have Earl, the convict now trying to make up for everything bad he did,
Randy, his dumb, but helpful brother,
Catalina, A part time maid at the motel Earl and Randy live at, she's also a stripper down at the local strip club "Club Chubby"
Joy, Earl's ex wife who'se bitchier than hell
Darnell Turner (Crabman) AKA. Harry Monroe, His names are hard to explain without actually watching the programme, but he's basically Joy's boyfriend and he works at the local bar "The Crab Shack"

These are the main characters in My name is Earl, but there are side characters that reoccur often, like Patty the daytime hooker, Kenny the gay, Ralph the psycho, Willy the mailman, Joy's kids Earl Jr. and Dodge etc. The characters are so colourful and some of them are relatable, others are just plain funny.
There's a sense of familiarity and a sense of out of the ordinary that is just mixed to perfection. There's a storyline, too which can be hard to follow at times if you don't watch them in order, but you can still find it funny, even if it's your first time seeing it.
I recommend this programme to everyone. Absolutely everyone. But don't watch it on TV in the daytime, because they cut out so much, some of it is even important information to the storyline. If it's on at like midnight, that's the good version. That's the uncut Earl that I adore.

Again though, I don't get it! Not broadcast on English TV anymore, except for occasionally on E4 at night. I'm buying the DVD's though because I love it.
The worst part is that My Name is Earl was cancelled after the 4th series. This fact genuinely brings tears to my eyes. Not even kidding. I love My Name is Earl so much, it's basically my guideline for life. This programme which is teaching bad people to do good things, this genius idea of a programme, was cut down in it's prime at season 4. Sure it lost a lot of viewers by that time, but so did Futurama!

I wanna see My Name Is Earl Season 5. Just a roundup, he can finish his list and I can cry tears of joy. You can even pull a saving private ryan and do the whole silence sepia thing and kill Earl! At least that would be some closure!
Anyways. Watch My Name Is Earl. It's brilliant.

Sometimes the 140 character limit gets to me and I just wanna blog about all of the things. Anyways, I will cover what I have done this past few days first.

On the 23rd, I went to Plymouth and went Ice-Skating with Krisi, that was fun and cool and stuff. We also went shopping a little and yeah. It was fun! I thoroughly enjoyed that day.

Christmas Eve I didn't do anything of significance that I can remember... But I did get a bad stomache during the night, thus not breaking the tradition of me being ill every Christmas.

Christmas Day I awoke at around 9AM, which is the latest I have ever opened presents. It was mainly chocolates but my main present is the means that I am typing these words. Yup, I got me a MacBook Air! I'm gonna use it for making music and things, It'll be swell! I also got Saints Row The Third, but I haven't played it yet, because I've been playing Grand Theft Auto IV, which I'm borrowing off of MattBusby (His blog is on the right).
I mainly spent Christmas setting up my MacBook and installing shizz and all that. It's all shiny :3 ...Yeah! Merry Christmas and all that!

Boxing Day I spent at my grans house, we ate food as a family and did family stuff. My gran gave me monies and chocolates! I'm so grateful for all I have received and it shall be spent wisely.
I have seen so many incarnations of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol... I don't hate the story now, but the Patrick Stewart incarnation is the best. A Muppets Christmas Carol comes at a close second.

Anyways, I LOVE MY MAC! It's sexy as hell.

Electro Cheese EP

For those of you who don't know, I have been working on a solo project for about 2 years now. The title of it is "Electro Cheese" and it was originally gonna be a full album of about 11 tracks, but I was overcome with Christmas spirit and I couldn't not share it with the world.
It's currently 6 tracks, but there are leftover things that will be included on my next Electronic based EP... which I might just end up calling "Electro Cheese II" ...I hope not, but I might. Anyways, my point is: It's out now on a very special Physical CD release, which will come complete with a CD of the EP "Electro Cheese" a non-related sticker and some extra special stuff. ABSOLUTELY FREE.
