Three barriers are applied to the copper conductors to provide complete insulation against the motor's cooling fluid. This design is the result of extensive research and is of superior quality. It insures that CentriPro motors will have an extremely long service life. Sand Resistant Slinger and Lip Seals:CentriPro submersible motors feature double-row, grease packed, lip seals to prevent sand from entering the motor. A carbon steel slinger with a baked on epoxy coating pre- vents sand from entering the lip seal area. Additional protection against sand intrusion is provided by the close tolerance slinger guide with a .02" fit. This design is field-proven in West Texas wells which are considered to be some of the worst sandy well applications. Best of all, these features are standard for a CentriPro motor, so there is no need to stock one motor for clean wells and another more expensive motor for the more abrasive, sandy jobs. High Torque Characteristics:The stator laminations are constructed of high quality, electrical grade, silicon steel which provide high torque even when the motor is subjected to nominal voltage variations. Balancing:The rotor balance rings (one on each end of the rotor) allow for excellent dynamic balance for the rotating element of the motor. Carbon Sleeve Bearings - Two carbon, water-lubricated, guide bearings are used to properly align the shaft. The bearings have a large surface area to better support the shaft, reducing whipping, while acting as a steady bushing. Water-Filled Design - The internal cooling water is mixed with antifreeze and antirust liquid to allow the motor to be stored at -22º F (-30º C).

1) Performs well - Strapper performs well. This strapper does not require the use of compressed air which is a plus in many situations. We have had two of these now for two years in the commercial printing business and they have held up well. Just make sure when ordering the strapping material, you order the correct core size. The strapping that we had on previous machines appeared to be correct but in fact were too large....causing the spool to waddle around and give us troubles. If taken care of this strapper should serve you well. The cost is a bit much....could be lower.

1) 5 years and running well. - I've had this disposer for over 6 years with no issues.

I had my septic tank pumped 7 years ago and again this fall. Seven years ago I was told it was nearly full and a good thing that I called them out. This fall I was asked if I had it pumped every year and when I said that it had been 7 years ago, they were stunned. They told me it was not even 25% full and I shouldn't have had them come out. That my issues were with water, not the tank. Considering that I added this disposer shortly after the last pumping with zero impact to the septic system/tank tells me that it works.

The BioCharge can be expensive when purchased locally (ususally 25% higher), but is a little more reasonable when bought through Amazon. Either way, that is a planned expense and averages between 3 and 4 times per year.

2) InSinkErator is still the best - This is the 2nd disposal that I have installed. Our old house was on county sewer, so we did not need the added benefits of the Septic Assist. It was much more difficult to install than the new one.

The box includes nearly everything you need to install it. The only other things you need to have on hand is the plumber's putty to seal the flange in the sink, and some romex to attach the power. I did the job solo, but it would have been helpful to have another pair of hands to hold the drain in the sink while I cliped on the locking ring. Now that InSinkErator has the removable rubber seal that slips into the drain from the top, mounting the unit to the twist lock under the sink was a breeze. Since the power was already run to an outlet under the sink, I had this installed in under an hour.

I don't know how long the bottle of Septic Assist will last, but we have used it for a week without a noticable lowering of the contents of the bottle.

Running the unit is much quieter than the old ones. It's not silent, but the combination of vibration dampers and insulated chassis makes it quiet enough to talk over. It's more of a hum than a roar.

All in all, a relief to have a disposal again at the new house. Of course, only time will tell what impact it will have when we need to get the septic pumped. We plan to have it pumped every 2 years in order to keep the risk of overflow to a minimum.

2) sleeping easier - With all the heavy rain in the midwest this spring, our old pump was going off every minute or so. I investigated to see how much water was coming in. There was a lot, but the real problem was that 1/2 the water being pumped out was backflowing into the sump after each cycle. Did some research and learned about check valves, which we apparently did not have, and realized that our 10 yr. old pump was basically 20 yrs. old since it had been doing double duty. After lots more research, we decided on the Liberty 257. The reviews are excellent and there were no mentions of the switch problems that seem to plague the Zoellers. Not to mention the price and warranty are better. It's been installed for about a week now (hardest part of that was cleaning out the sump basin) and is running well. The old pump, while extremely dependable, was also extremely loud, as was the noise of the water rushing back into the pump without a check valve. Being as how the pump was right under our bedroom, I was losing a lot of sleep, both from noise and worry. Now I can barely hear it (and just worry about not being able to tell if it's running or not.) Much less water comes out the discharge and it seems to run a very short amount of time. That being said, it seems to be keeping up OK.

Update: We think we figured out the issue. The float differential (the difference in inches between the "on" level and "off" level) is only 3.5" on this pump. Most pumps seem to have a greater differential than that (and thus pump out more water at a time.) This pump is working great with heavy use, but consider this before you buy.
Update #2: Came back and updated my rating to 5 stars. We just had a torrential overnight rain the likes of which I've never seen and the pump was awesome! The water was pouring in so fast, the water would come within a few inches of the top of the basin before the pump could cycle on, but when it did, it emptied it completely. Wow! It's like it rises to the occasion of abusive conditions! :) Thank you, Liberty!

2) A Very GOOD Pool Cover Pump - This product is easy to use. Easy to guide over and around my above ground pool cover. This product has saved me a lot of work. Works great, even after the fall leaves are on my cover. It kept the water level on the pool cover at a minimum. Definitely recommend.

1) Shurflo 4008 installation - The original Shurflo 2088 pump on my new 5th wheel has never worked properly. Very noisy and very weak flow from any of the faucets. My RV has a water filter and this tends to limit flow. I installed an additional rubber pad, flexible hoses, and an accumulator to try to quieten the pump - nothing made much difference. I decided to buy the 4008 model after reviewing different pumps online. I found the best price on Amazon.

The install was very easy - 4 mounting screws, 2 hoses, 2 wires - it has the same dimensions as the old 2088 pump.
Turned it on and I was amazed at the difference - full flow at the faucets and very quiet running - almost silent at times.

Well worth the expense!

2) A worthwhile upgrade! Rv water pump. - Our original equiptment water pump was begining to run erratically after 5 years of pretty constant use. A google search turned up the Revolution, a bit pricer, the claims were more water pressure and a more quiet pump. The claims were very accurate. An easy install and a much improved outcome.
