I’ll be teaching Narrative Pre-Production this fall at the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema at Brooklyn College. This course is a workshop that provides step-by-step hands-0n guidance in pre-production. I’m excited to help young filmmakers get their 2nd year films off the ground.

Tisch Gala 2025

For the prestigious 2025 Tisch Gala, I created a comprehensive visual identity spanning print invitations, journals, and signage. My logo design became the centerpiece of the event, flowing seamlessly from printed materials to the stage design and video graphics that accompanied the performances. The gala featured an impressive lineup of speakers, including Dean Allyson Green alongside NYU President Linda Mills, acclaimed alumni Billy Crudup and Karl Kensler, Emmy-winning actress Claire Danes, groundbreaking performer and professor Anna Deavere Smith, and Sharon Chang—who brings her perspective as both an alumna, Tisch Dean’s Council member, and NYU Trustee.

The event provides students with much needed funds to help with the costs of their education at Tisch.

New Screentest: #24, Ari

I haven’t made a Screentest video in a while. Here’s a new one with my new friend Ari, in which he talks about his adventure renovating an old chair he found on the street.

I’m hoping to do a lot more of these this year. This series is several decades old at this point! I never thought I’d be doing them for this long. I love doing these because it gives me an excuse to hang out with people I love, and also keeps me engaged in my film work when I’m not working on bigger projects.

Tisch Gala 2024

I designed the print invitation, journal, and signage for the 2024 Tisch Gala. The evening honored Graduate Acting alum Corey Stoll, Graduate Film alum Ang Lee, and Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music alum Madison Love. My logo and invitation design served as a primary element in the stage design and video graphics during the event and performances.

I was surprised to see that my initial circle design inspired the event design and video graphics. A great time was had by all!

The event provides students with much needed funds to help with the costs of their education at Tisch.

‘Ozu’s Family Values’ for Galerie

I had the pleasure of writing about one of Yasujirō Ozu’s masterpieces ‘Good Morning’. This film is my favorite of his color works and it was fun to stretch my film critical theory muscle to analyze it.

By the way, Galerie is a wonderful new film club with articles and audio/video discussions created by some incredible film lovers and filmmakers. Definitely worth the subscription cost.

I designed the print invitation, journal, and signage for the 2023 Tisch Gala. The evening honored our first mother-son honoree duo, Dr. Deborah Willis, chair of the Department of Photography & Imaging, and her son Hank Willis Thomas, an alumnus of the Department of Photography & Imaging.

The event provides students with much needed funds to help with the costs of their education at Tisch. It was an honor to work on the look and feel of the Tisch Gala once again.
