Tisha Morris, Esq. is a mediator, attorney, and founder of Legacy Arts Law PC, where law, creativity, and mindful conflict resolution intersect. Drawing on three decades of legal experience and working one-on-one with clients in the healing ats, Tisha brings a grounded yet holistic approach to mediation that honors both the business and the human sides of dispute resolution.
Tisha received her mediation training from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law, ranked No. 1 in the nation for dispute resolution by U.S. News & World Report multiple times.
Before founding her law firm, Tisha served as a federal judicial law clerk and practiced in both litigation and transactional law. In addition to her legal career in entertainment law, estate planning, intellectual property, and general business law, she has been a self-help author, business coach, feng shui expert, and yoga instructor, all of which inform her intuitive and balanced approach to resolving conflicts. A long-time practitioner of Transcendental Meditation (TM), Tisha integrates mindfulness, presence, and deep listening into her mediation practice.
As a bestselling author of five nonfiction books and host of The Entertainment Business Podcast, Tisha is known for bridging creativity, communication, and clarity—qualities that also define her work as a mediator.

Except in limited circumstances provided by law, all communications made during mediation are considered confidential settlement discussions under California Evidence Code Sections 1115–1128. Information shared with the mediator is likewise confidential and may not be compelled or introduced as evidence in any subsequent proceeding (Evidence Code Section 703.5).
This confidentiality allows all participants to speak openly, explore creative options, and work toward resolution without concern that statements made during mediation will later be used against them.
At the beginning of the mediation session, each participant will be asked to review and a Mediation and Confidentiality Agreement, which outlines these protections in detail.

To begin the mediation process, please reach out by email to inquire about available dates, or schedule below. Sessions are booked on a first-come, first-served basis in 1/2 day or full day increments, and can be held in-person or by Zoom. Tisha accommodates both in-person and virtual mediations and can often schedule on short notice when circumstances allow.
If you would like to discuss whether mediation is appropriate for your matter or need guidance in inviting the other party to participate, feel free to contact Tisha prior to scheduling.
For mediation to be successful, all individuals with settlement authority should participate in the session, whether in person or by video conference. Remote participation by phone may be approved in limited circumstances.

In the days leading up to the mediation, Tisha may hold separate pre-session calls with each party or counsel. These confidential discussions help clarify expectations and ensure everyone arrives prepared.
To ensure the most effective use of mediation time, each party is asked to submit a brief at least five (5) days in advance of the session. These briefs help Tisha gain an understanding of the factual background, legal issues, and positions of the parties.
While not required, parties are encouraged to exchange briefs or summaries ahead of time to promote transparency and realistic settlement dialogue. Confidential letters or materials may also be submitted directly to Tisha.
A mediation brief may include:
A concise summary of key facts and issues in dispute
Legal claims asserted, with relevant citations
Deposition excerpts or witness statements, if applicable
Key exhibits or expert opinions, if applicable
The current procedural status of the case
Damages analysis
Summary of prior settlement efforts
Any other information helpful to achieving resolution

At the start of the mediation, Tisha typically meets with each party separately in private rooms to establish a comfortable environment and explain the process—especially for those new to mediation. While she generally begins with private discussions rather than a joint session, she may invite limited dialogue among counsel or participants when doing so would be constructive to the process.
Each mediation is uniquely tailored to the dynamics of the case and the needs of the participants. Tisha’s approach often includes:
Listening carefully to each party in private caucus to understand their goals, interests, and perspectives.
Evaluating the factual and legal issues in dispute to help clarify points of contention.
Facilitating productive negotiation between the parties to move toward a mutually satisfactory resolution.
Sessions are conducted in a comfortable, professional setting with Wi-Fi access and refreshments available. For full-day mediations, lunch is provided.

When an agreement is reached, the terms are typically memorialized in writing before the session concludes to ensure clarity and closure for all parties. Tisha encourages the preparation of a comprehensive settlement document during the mediation itself so that the resolution can be finalized and signed the same day whenever possible.
In some cases, additional steps may be required following mediation—such as finalizing a long-form agreement, obtaining signatures, or completing specific terms of settlement. Tisha remains available to assist with follow-up communications as needed to ensure that the agreement is fully executed and implemented.
If a matter does not resolve on the day of mediation, the process often continues beyond the session. Tisha maintains contact with the parties and counsel, offering continued support and communication to help bridge any remaining gaps and facilitate resolution.
