Jovit Baldivino | "PINOY YOU GOT IT!" : The Nationwide Concert Tour

"PINOY YOU GOT IT!" : The Nationwide Concert Tour is the most awaited event showcasing the grand winner and some of the grand finalists of the very first edition of Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT), the Philippines' biggest nationwide talent reality show. The concert will be staged in 20 major cities all throughout the archipelago.

It will be held on 23 July 2010 8:00PM (Friday) at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City. On that day also, various PGT albums will be officially launched. On 31 July 2010 8:00PM (Saturday), it will held at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel, Pacific Grand Ballroom. The cast will also perform at the Lipa Youth Cultural Center in Lipa, Batangas on 06 August 2010.

The concert will feature PGT grand winner Jovit Baldivino, Ezra Band, Sherwin Baguion and Markki Stroem. The concert will also feature Juris Fernandez ( former lead singer of the Filipino acoustic group MYMP).Ingrid Payaket and Keith Delleva will be special guests.

There are giveaways for those who will watch the concert. You can bring home a CD album of your choice if you buy a ticket worth PhP575. When Gary Valenciano performed during the results night of the Pilipinas Got Talent finale, he was one of the many who was wowed by the singing of finalist Jovit Baldivino, who eventually bagged top honors in the competition. Gary described Jovit as an inspiration to everyone who wants to pursue their dreams. “I think Jovit is a statement to everybody. He is a siomai vendor. But he proved na it doesn’t matter what you are, but with the gift given to you by God [you can do almost anything]. Kapag dumating ang opportunity for you to step up and show your talent, grab it. I’m sure he did not expect for this to happen to him.”

Gary said he welcomes performing with Jovit and the possibility of him becoming a regular performer on ASAP XV. “I would love to perform with Jovit. I just need to prepare kasi mas mataas ang range [ng boses] niya sa akin. But I like the fact that even Arnel Pineda ay bilib sa kanya. He is young and he has so much to learn and experience. But it seems that he knows so much already. The way life plays out in his life will only enhance his voice.” Gary also believes that Jovit’s budding music career is in good hands with ABS-CBN. “I think his career is all set na. He’s with ABS-CBN so I don’t see anything that can go wrong. He’ll be exposed not just to people around the Philippines also those abroad.”

LUIGI SENO | ANOTHER PINOY PRIDE in AMERICAS GOT TALENT

LUIGI Seno is a 20-year old Filipino-American who went through the final auditions of America’s Got Talent last Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Luigi was an instant crowd favorite when he sang and played the guitar.

The Fil-Am singer impressed not only the studio audience abut also the America’s Got Talent judges' Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel.

Luigi passed the final auditions because of his relaxed performance, his natural talent and his charms. Nick Cannon, the husband of Mariah Carey, hosts America’s Got Talent.

During the exit interview, Nick was touched when the teary Luigi said the performance was actually for his family. Luigi was born in Cebu and he was only 12 years old when he and his family migrated to Los Angeles, California.

The rain did not deter Filipinos from crowding the Quezon Memorial Circle last night, June 30, to celebrate the country’s new President, Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, through a victory concert party.

The night’s theme was unity—big stars from both the Kapuso and Kapamilya networks performed for the enthusiastic crowd composed of people of all ages and from all walks of life.

The program started at 6 p.m. and ended at 11:30 p.m. A heavy drizzle fell at around 9:30 p.m., but the audience endured the rain and stayed until the end.

Security was tight at the venue. Even the press was heavily restricted from interviewing the performers and the VIPs.

The event was held after the inauguration of the new Philippine President and Vice President, Benigno Simeon "NoyNoy" Cojuanco Aquino III and Jejomar C. Binay, respectively. Jovit Baldivino will be one of the artists who will perform at the "Tagumpay ng Bayan Concert" after the historical oathtaking of the new President of the Philippine Republic Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III and new Vice-President Jejomar C. Binay.

Mariel Rodriguez, Vhong Navarro and Curtis reportedly will be hosting the concert. Aside from Jovit, among other artists who will perform are Gary Valenciano, Pokwang, Gabby Concepcion, Ogie Alcasid, Christian Bautista, Jim Paredes, Nina, Jay-R, Jed Madela, Kyla and Arnel Pineda. Reports also said that the new President will also perform during the concert.

Tentatively, the concert which will be held at the Quezon City Memorial Circle will start at 8:30 PM, 30 June 2010 (Philippine Time).

After his huge success as the grand winner of the very first "Pilipinas Got Talent" (PGT), it is reported that Jovit Baldivino's very first music album will be released within the month of July under Star Records (ABS-CBN's music company).

Jovit's legion of fans not only in the Philippines but also in other countries are very much excited for the release of this much awaited music album. The album is expected to feature slow rock songs, the music genre in which Jovit was identified with during PGT competition.

“Pilipinas Got Talent” grand prize winner Jovit Baldivino could hardly believe his eyes upon seeing Journey frontman Arnel Pineda right before him on the set of “The Buzz” last June 20.

Baldivino has long been a fan of Pineda. The former even chose the Journey song, “Faithfully,” as his audition piece for the talent search last February. Many have said the two sound alike when they sing and Baldivino had always dreamt of singing a duet with his idol.

Jovit Baldivino, the New Nora Aunor

(14 June 2010) On this day, the Filipino masses celebrated the lopsided victory of Jovit Baldivino in the nationwide talent show Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT)which was held at the Araneta Coliseum. Among the finalists, the Batangueño “siomai” vendor cum singer turned You Tube sensation garnered almost fifty percent of the votes (sms and online voting) cast.

Baldivino won a whooping two million pesos in cold cash which he said he will use in acquiring house and lot , and send his siblings to school.

Baldivino was still a PGT contestant when Batangas Governor Vilma Santos-Recto showed her full support for him. She hired him during the peak of the 2010 Philippine Elections in her campaign sorties in Batangas City. It was reported that Baldivino earned ten thousand pesos per show in the different towns of Bantangas.

According to reports, because Baldivino is naturally talented, he immediately made a name in Batangas through the aid of Santos-Recto. This reportedly caught the attention of the late Armando Sanchez, Santos-Rectos political rival. Sanchez got interested in the services of Baldivino and approached Baldivino’s father. According to reports, Sanchez paid Baldivino’s father thirty thousand pesos just to pull him out from Santos-Recto’s campaign team.

On the night that Baldivino was to perform in Batangas City, the older Baldivino came to fetch him. Baldivino reportedly refused to go with his father as he has commitments with Santos-Recto. In spite of Baldivino’s refusal, his father forced him to get into a car. He was even crying and he does not want to go with his father. But the older Baldivino’s decision prevailed. Baldivino can do nothing but to go with his father despite his crying and refusal. The scene got the attention of the crowd. Santos-Recto was also helpless and decided to just let go of Baldivino.

What’s amusing about Baldivino is that, he was so sorry of the incident and of his father’s behavior. He sincerely thanked his fans who supported him all the way. He also expressed his gratitude towards Santos-Recto.

If given the chance, he wants to do a project where KC Concepcion is his leading lady. He wishes to do a duet with Journey’s Arnel Pineda and Sarah Geronimo. He also wants to do a TV series with Geronimo.

Because of the warmth reception of the Filipino masses, there is no doubt that he will be a superstar like Nora Aunor. He is the male version of Nora Aunor. So tiny yet possesses such an incomparable voice.

Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) grand winner Jovit Baldivino defends himself against accusations against intigues that he is not really a siomai vendor and that he is already acting like a superstar. He also answered intrigues that PGT grand finalist Magician Alakim is more deserving to wind the crown.

His message to his detractors: "Okay lang sa akin kung hindi kayo naniniwala sa akin (It's just okay with me though you don't believe in me)".

His message to his fans and supporters: " Maraming-maraming salamat sa suporta nyo sa akin noong nakaraang grand finals ng Pilipinas Got Talent (Thank you very much for your support during the grand finals of Pilipinas Got Talent)".

Showbiz News Ngayon (SNN) hosts Boy Abunda and Kris Aquino also adviced Jovit.

Jovit Baldivino's Very First Exclusive Interview at TV Patrol World

Jovit was interviewed by TV Patrol World news anchor Ted Failon about his triumph at the Pilipinas Got Talent. He also answered some questions regarding his adjustment to his superstar status and his future plans. In the end he sang a portion of his PGT winning piece "Too Much Love Will Kill You".

He also disclosed in the interview that Star Records has already offered to do an album with him featuring some rock songs, his forte.

He is planning to pursue a college degree in Mechanical Engineering if he passes a college entrance examination comes August.
