Jacqueline & Devon’s Mission San Juan Capistrano wedding kicked off the wedding season hard for this year, and set the bar so high! What a fun day, so much love and laughter and…I’m just crazy about this couple! They are sweet to the core, loving, funny and just all around beautiful people that never take themselves too seriously. Jacqueline & Devon have the kind of love that makes you so happy that they found each other. It felt like I was surrounded by incredible people all the way around, including two of my other past couples that were there (both pregnant!) Danielle & Colin and Danielle & Brian. I had so much fun Jacqueline & Devon’s amazing wedding parties and wonderful families (side note: dropping of pants…not per photographer’s instruction). Jacqueline & Devon, thank you for allowing me to capture such a special day…I wish you a lifetime of the kind of love and joy you had together on this day! xo

I love everything about this wedding! I love Alicia & Johan, and their families & friends. I love South Africa, and all of the beautiful African culture! It really was a perfect wedding day, and Alicia & Johan completely deserved it. This trip to South Africa was on the heels of a season that was very trying for me. Photographing their destination wedding felt like I was being handed a beautiful gift; a reminder that I am doing what I’m supposed to be doing. I adore Alicia & Johan to the core! They have such a special, deep connection with each other and both such beautiful kind souls. Alicia & Johan’s family & friends came from literally all over the world for their Stellenbosch, South Africa wedding at the historic Nooitgedacht Estate. We also had the privilege of working with South Africa’s premier wedding coordinator, Aleit Swanepoel, and his awesome team at The Aleit Group. Aleit’s design and decor ideas were truly amazing, and he and his staff made David and I feel like we were right at home in Stellenbosch. It was a magical wedding all around, and now here’s a little peek into the day. Alicia & Johan, I am so happy for you, and wish you a lifetime of joy and beautiful babies!!! xox

I’m so grateful for this last year, and really humbled by the beautiful people and stories I have been able to capture. It was a year of soul searching, growth and amazing people supporting me. I still feel like I have more weddings and shoots I hope to share before I feature “best of” highlights from 2012. First up is Jojo & Bobby’s Malibu wedding at Calimigos Ranch. So much care, hard work and a ton of love went into every last detail of this day, from this glowing couple and all of the amazing family and friends who surrounded them…it was just magical.
