Joyful Heart Design To Donate Proceeds of New Stationery Product to Pink Initiative in Support of Breast Cancer Awareness

Lubbock, Texas - October 6, 2009
Invitation and stationery company Joyful Heart Design has designed a new product to benefit Pink Initiative in response to Pink Initiative’s Be the Change $10,000 Challenge for October and National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The product is a set of note cards displaying a silver princess crown printed on white linen paper and embellished with a pink jewel. The set comes wrapped with pink ribbon and is being sold by Joyful Heart Design on the company’s website, www.JoyfulHeartDesign.com/pinkinitiative or by calling 806-787-1450.

Pink Initiative is a community of wedding industry professionals passionate about funding awareness, outreach, education and research for breast cancer. “During our first twelve months, Pink Initiative’s board of directors and our growing group of vendor sponsors have taken our message to heart proudly displaying our logo on websites and blogs, spreading our message on Twitter, and kindly giving more than $7,000 thus far,” reported Emilie Sommer, founder of Pink Initiative and professional photographer with emilie inc.

Joyful Heart Design will also donate 10% of proceeds from all invitation and stationery items containing the color pink which are purchased during the month of October to Pink Initiative.

Zoo Theme Little Girls Birthday Party

Jennifer recently contacted me and asked if I could change up my Zebra Print & Pink Ribbon Baby Shower Invitation a little to make it a birthday invite for her 2 year old little girl. They were going to have her party at the zoo and this invite would be just perfect.

Unique Fall Wedding Invitations in Burgundy and Orange

Are you looking for unique fall wedding invitations with a modern design... with something other than the traditional fall leaf or pumpkin icons? My "Sassy Sunburst" design was created with you in mind. The stylized sunburst is warm and inviting. It is fun, yet formal; bold, yet simple. The squash orange and garnet red sunburst could be used on save the date cards as well as on other wedding accessories, decorations and favors to carry the autumn theme throughout the entire wedding and reception. At Joyful Heart Design, we give you lots of options to customize and personalize your invitations to make them uniquely yours. For instance, look how different the invitation can look just by changing the color of the pocketfolder.

Pair the invite with a Cranberry Red or Burgundy pocketfolder for a very rich, almost regal look. Add an orange mat (invite backing layer) to accent the names printed in orange text.

My daughter graduated from high school this year and we had so much fun getting her senior pictures done and then creating her graduation announcements together. I make no apologies to the fact that this is my very favoritephoto graduation announcement. We chose pictures that showed off her unique style and personality. We added one of her favorite sayings: “Peace • Love • Idalou.” And since she likes fleur-de-lis, we used a decorative fleur-de-li ornament in a color that matched her photos to add some flair to the announcement. She also chose her favorite fonts that reflect her style. We were very pleased with the final result and she received lots of compliments on them.

In case you haven't heard, the price of a first class stamp will increase form $.42 to $.44 on May, 11, 2009.

Stock up now on Forever Stamps which can always be used to mail a one-ounce letter via first class mail regardless of when the stamps are purchased or how much you paid for them.

The Forever Stamp first went on sale in April 2007. Since then, more than 6 billion Forever Stamps have been sold.

Forever Stamps are always sold at the same price as a regular First-Class Mail stamp. Forever Stamps are currently being sold for 41 cents and will be sold for 42 cents starting May 12, 2008.

Have you ever wondered if God still speaks today?

You will have no doubt about it after you read this great book by my good friend, Virginia Stewart Metzler, titled, "Our God Still Speaks."

I met Virginia through the Women Entrepreneurs of Lubbock organization. I was very impressed by her kind, encouraging nature, her love of life and her passion for Christ. AND, I loved her JOYFUL HEART!

We soon became very good friends and now meet together regularly to encourage one another and to pray for our families, our businesses, our country and whatever else is on our hearts. Though it was published last year, I just recently finished reading her book. It both amazed and inspired me. Once I started I couldn't put it down. May you be blessed by reading it, as I was.

It is her written memorial of God's repeated answers to prayer. Virginia and her former husband were missionaries in Liberia, West Africa until he was killed in a tragic plane crash. After she married Les Metzler, they became missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators in the Philippines. This book reveals compelling stories of God's working in their lives and it was written to honor God. Her prayer is that it will motivate, encourage and bless those who still seek Him.
