It's because, there's simply no more
responsive lead that you can generate
online than a lead you get through
newsletter marketing. Here's why ...

People throw around that word
"responsiveness" or "super hot leads"
but what does it really mean?

Responsiveness is a quality that exists
INSIDE the minds of your best prospects,
and ...

The best prospects are the people that
proactively seek solutions to their
toughest problems or proactively seek
continual new information on subjects in
which they are passionate about.

And so, a person who goes out, finds a
newsletter on a subject that they enjoy
or that they believe will help them
solve a problem they are currently
facing and then looks forward to
receiving more information on that
subject by email either daily or weekly,
is a prospect that TRULY is "responsive" !

https://daegansmith.infusionsoft.com/go/rlc/Jpgroup

http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2011/05/all-economics-is-local.html

"Small Hinges Swings Big Doors"

I don't know where I heard this quote
for the first time, but after speaking
to a good friend about a subtle change
that he made in his business that
produced huge results I just couldn't
get these words out of my head.

Doing the exact same things in his
business, but making one small change to
the "who" took him from a position of
chasing down leads to having them chase
him . . .

Burke was originally using the internet
to target the business opportunity
market and was achieving results in his
business, but when he found his real
target market, the people that had a
problem that he was well equipped to
solve, his business took off.

After just a couple of weeks of making
this little change he all of a sudden had
people emailing and calling asking
exactly how they could join his
business.

He did everything else the same. All he
did was change "who" and the results
started pouring in.

Burke doesn't have a huge business now,
but because he found the "RIGHT" leads
for his business he doesn't need
hundreds a day to make a good living,
all he really needs is 15 to 25 a day.

And out of those 15 to 25 leads a day,
because they are, again, the right leads
for his business, he's got his plate
full with more people trying to get at
him than he can handle.

Burke's story reminded me of the most
important, yet most overlooked, factor
that can make your job of growing your
business much much easier.

It's a question . . . "Who is my best
prospect?"

This question is that little hinge that
swings the big doors in your business.
https://daegansmith.infusionsoft.com/go/freedvdbootcamp/Jpgroup

http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2011/05/all-economics-is-local.html

Live Webinar with Daegan Smith !!

You Promote Online (By Daegan Smith)

I just got a great question in from
Shannon Hanaway, that I think you may be
interested in the answer to:

"I've just been advised that my MLM
company won't allow any website- outside
their provided template-that customers
can link back to for product information
and enrollment.

These are my products.

Am I dead in the water or do I just get
really creative?"

My Response:

Shannon,

Fantastic questions and by no means are
you dead in the water. You just have to
think a little bit differently about how
you introduce people to your
opportunity.

In all honesty, just sending people to
your companies website to learn about
your product line isn't going to win you
many sales anyway, so it's really more
of an non issue than you may think.

I've said it before and I'll say it
again. People don't join opportunities,
they join people.

Therefore nothing that you do on the
front end of your business even needs to
ever mention your company. Let me
explain . . .

Your best prospects will always be the
doers like you. The people striving for
success.

What do doers look for?

Information and guidance.

This is all your business on the front
end should provide. People will join you
because they "know" and you've proven
you can help them, not because your moon
juice is cooler than the next companies.

So on the front end, do what I do.

Create your own newsletter. Your own
lead capture page. Communicate daily.

If you get adventurous create a front
end product that solves on of your
prospects major concerns.

1. Getting more leads 2. Making more
money 3. Recruiting without rejection

Allow them to purchase it from you and
then . . .

Once all your marketing costs are paid
for by your profits, on the back-end
give you your customers a call.

Ask how you can be of further service,
naturally they'll be inquisitive as to
what else you're up to.

There, right there, is the time you
bring up your back end company.

You may say, but "Daegan I can't create
a product."

I have two answers for you.

Yes you can and you don't even need a
product to recruit online. It just makes
it easier.

Even if you were just to create your own
list online. Share stories and marketing
strategies daily, and as a call to
action at the end of your message you
said something like:

"If you'd like some personal help give
me a call between 4pm and 8pm tonight at
XXX-XXXX I'll be in the office to help"

You'll have people ringing your phone
off the hook all day and night. Trust me
on that one.

See how we never even bring up our
company online following this
methodology? Well, that's exactly why
you're in no way shape or form dead in
the water.

If you'd like to learn how to either
generate a boat load of leads, create
your first front end product, or create
a daily flow of profits, there is no
better place to learn these skills than
as a part of our family.

Watch this short presentation to learn
how to make that happen:
powered offer that your prospects would
be insane to refuse, and ...

That, that was only half of the
equation.

Part #2, we cover now.

Today's lesson will be unique in that
it's not something that you can learn
"out there" online.

The truth is, the second of the
"ultimate conversion" equation I'm
giving you for zilch right now I had to
learn somewhere you'd never think to
look.

Where?

On TV.

That's right, I'll admit it, there are
few TV shows that I became completely
obsessed with.

Shows like "24", "Hero's", and "Lost".

Whenever I watch one episode, it's over.

Off to Best Buy I go to purchase the
entire season, and then ...

For two days straight you'd find me
completely unavailable. Absorbed in
these series.

Maybe you've done the same thing?

In what I just described is true power.

Why?

Why do I and so many others get SO
wrapped up in these series?

You won't find the answer in any
marketing book, but you will if you
study "The Art Of Story Telling"

A powerful story pulls in your audience
like nothing else.

One thing to make an irresistible offer
to a person, but a totally different and
more powerful thing is it to suck that
person in with a spell binding story,
and THEN make them an irresistible
offer.

So how do you use the power of story tohttps://daegansmith.infusionsoft.com/go/rlc/Jpgroup pull your prospects in ?

The first thing that you do is you pull
them directly into your plot.

You create a situation where your "hero"
must take action or face a dire
situation?

In the "Recruit Like Crazy" video
presentation where do I start?

Right when I'm about to step on stage in
front of a huge audience.

Most people are scared of speaking in
front of audiences ,so when I describe
that I'm feeling nervous it's easy for
my viewer to understand why.

Then naturally the question gets asked
inside of the prospects mind "Why is
this guy about to step on stage?"

And it's right there, that I've already
got them sucked in.

As soon as that first question pops into
their mind about the plot that's about
to unfold it's game over.

They've got to see what happens next.

Now here's the sneaking thing that I do
that pulls them in even further ...

Before I share what happened as I
stepped onto that stage I pull back.

I move the plot in a different
direction, and naturally ...

The viewer wants to know:

"What happened? Did he get booed off
stage? Did he pull it off?"

And that question keeps them sucked in
until I resolve it by playing out the
plot much later.

I don't have time to go into the entire
process, but I'll share with you how you
can learn the entire formula I use so
that you can model it yourself later.
For now ...

Let me give you a couple of tips.

Tip #1:

Start at a place of high drama.

A situation that in order to be resolved
requires your "hero" to take action in
one direction or another. If they don't
they face dire consequences.

Tip #2:

Don't tell your audience your emotions.

Show them.

So, it's passive to say "I was scared"

The audience can't feel what you felt if
you describe your emotions that way.

Instead show them, and there's a three
step process for doing that.

First, start with the physical aspects
of the emotions.

If I say ...

"My breath grew short. I could feel
sweat starting to bead on my brow. My
hands started to shake."

Now I'm bringing them into the feeling.

Next, move to the internal thoughts and
share those.

"Could this really be happening to me
right now? No not yet ... I'm not
ready!"

See how that creates a feeling of high
tension when added to the physical
manifestations?

Finally share what's happening that's
causing all this internal turmoil, like
...

There I stood forced out on to the stage
in front of thousands.

Now ...

They can feel what you feel.

You dig?

Tip #3:

Most people sell a product or a
solution, but the first sell you should
direct your prospects to is the
acceptance of a concept.

If you do that, then the sale of the
product that brings results from
leveraging that concept is a cinch.

So, instead of selling through your
story "Why someone should join your
team"

Use a story to persuade your audience
into the belief that working in the
right team is the fastest way for them
to succeed.

Do you see how that's different?

If you get them to "see" or have the
"epiphany" that teamwork is the most
powerful force known to man first,
then ...

When you share with them your
irresistible offer based on that team
concept (so all the work we did
yesterday) it's a slam dunk.

Tip #4:

When persuading your audience to a core
concept try to make that concept and how
your solution addresses it be unique to
the marketplace.

That way, no matter what, you're the
only game in town.

Now I've got a whole formula for using
the power of story to super charge your
ability to persuade and sell, but ...

As you can see there's more here than meets the eye.

you present your prospects with anything
you will end up presenting them with
something they can't resist.

That question "what else?" leads to you
creating an irresistible offer, but ...

What most people "think" when they hear
terms like irresistible offer is that
if they just throw a ton of stuff at
their prospect their offering is
automatically going to convert more,
which is ...

WRONG!

To make your offers absolutely
irresistible, you've got to take that
concept one step further and think in
terms of ...

"What else would this prospect, at the
point they're in in their business right
now, want and need to create success for
themselves in the fastest time with the
least effort"

See how that's different?

It's not just more stuff.

It's more of the precise things your
prospect needs.

So ...

Let's say you have your own hamburger
stand and right across the street from
your hamburger stand is a competitors
hamburger stand.

They get more business than you.

You decide to apply this little question
"What else?" to boost your business.

What would offer?

Well, maybe, since you know your
prospects are hungry you could offer
them a free side of fries, or ...

You could offer them a coupon for half
off their next burger.

Or ...

Maybe you could make it a double
cheeseburger for no additional charge.

What if you throw in, not just a soda,
but a SUPER SIZED soda for free.

And we could go on, but the point is ...

We did this little exercise to see what
else we could add to our initial
offering that would make it absolutely
irresistible.

If you add just one of the things listed
above, sure it's better, but ...

What if you added them all?

Now all of a sudden the guy across the
way is selling a burger and you're
selling everything your prospect would
have dreamed of with that burger for the
same price.

If you're driving by those two burger
stands, which would you go to now?

EXACTLY.

The great thing about applying this
little principle to your business,
especially online is ...

Nothing you add has a physical cost
attached to it.

It all comes down to how creative you
can be, and how much deeper you can
think about what your prospect needs
right now than the next guy.

The person who does that wins.

Here's how I used to recruit, so you can
how this works in a home business
setting.

Remember yesterday, our friend "Mr. X"
basically said - "Join my business."

Which ain't all that persuasive.

Now compare that to this ...

When I recruited I knew that my
prospects needed more than just a spot
under me.

They needed to be trained, and even
further they would need their downline
to be trained.

So what I did was I created a team
marketing guide, and I even gave it to
my prospects BEFORE they joined.

Now they could see what they would be
doing before they were even on the team.

And I would always make sure to
mention ...

"This team guide I'm giving you is the
exact same team training guide you'll be
giving your recruits, so that,
effectively, you won't have to teach them
a thing. Our team has that covered for
you."

Result - pressure removed + I'm taking
care of them before they join, so they
think ...

"This guy has it all figured out,
it might be a good idea to work with
him."

Not sold or recruited yet, but now open
to the possibility.

"What else?"

Well, I knew they would need a source of
leads that they could contact while they
were getting up to speed so they could
start seeing results immediately.

So, I created and ran a monthly team
co-op.

I'd say ...

"Joe, as soon as you join, while
you're training with me you can jump
into our team marketing co-op. That way
you'll have quality prospect to interact
with immediately, and when they join
they'll be able to do the same thing."

Now ...

My prospect is thinking ...

"Wow. That solves two huge problems,
and it's great because I will be able
to offer my prospects a spot in that
team co-op as well. They'll be taken
care of. That's it. I'm in!"

Like clockwork.

It worked every time.

There was more I included, but to keep
this lesson brief I'll stop there.

I think you get the picture.

Do you see how I asked "What else?" and
then made sure that was provided for
before my prospects even knew my name?

Do you see how much easier it is to
recruit when you proactively think about
what they need BEFORE you even approach
them?

That's how to create an irresistible
offer.

It's about being empathetic and asking
"What else?" but ...

Mr. X, when asking me to join his
business, he wasn't asking just an average
Joe.

He was asking a guy who'd recruited over
3,500+ people and grown teams of 15,000+
in 13 days.

Offering me a co-op isn't addressing the
right "What else?" for me as a prospect.

I point this out to show you that ...

You've got to create the irresistible
"what else?" SPECIFIC to the prospect
for this formula to work, so ...

Don't be lazy.

You've got to think about your prospect
FIRST.

Close your eyes and live a day in their
life.

Then ask ...

"how could I make their life easier"
and include THAT in what you offer.

http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2011/05/all-economics-is-local.html

"If you had to start all over from scratch ?

The question I get asked MOST often is
this ...

"If you had to start all over from
scratch, no products, no downline, no
list.

All you have is a credit card with
a $2,000 limit and you MUST get back
to a six figure income in 90 days or
less or you'll face certain death
what would you do?"

I get asked this so often I chuckle.

If you want to know exactly what a
person who has earned several million,
generated over 500,000 leads, and has
recruited over 4000 would do, if ...

It was ALL taken away and needed urgently
to get back into the six figure income
range within 90 days or something really
bad would go down, then this tip will
be the MOST important message you ever
read.

Pay close attention. It could change
your life over the next 90 days ...

My answer will likely shock you.

Here's what I wouldn't do.

My first move would not be to find the
hottest opportunity on the planet and
tell everyone I know about it.

Nope, it doesn't make any sense.

There's no leverage there, that's like
saying "How can I put myself in a worse
financial situation?"

Home business entrepreneurs get this
wrong all the time.

They focus all their time, effort, and
energy on trying to find the "perfect"
opportunity thinking that's the ultimate
solution.

Thinking ...

If I just get myself into the "right"
opportunity it will sell itself.

No it won't and you'll go broke trying.

Why?

Because making money in your home
business is about THE hardest thing to
do.

It's what I call "anti-leverage."

The money you bring in gets sliced up
into so many different chunks to pay the
company and your 8 levels of upline you
get almost nothing.

The advantage is, when you have 8,000
people below you you've just created a
VERY stable income (as long as the
company doesn't go out of business.)

Which brings up the second point here.

You have no control over a company. Never
fool yourself into thinking you do.

They can change the comp plan or go out
of business and leave you high and dry.

I would NEVER place my financial destiny
on something I don't ultimately control
and neither should you.

There's absolutely no leverage or
control.

I'm after the ultimate unfair advantage
starting from scratch, not digging
myself deeper into a whole.

Remember I've got to get back to six
figures in the next 90 days or I'm in
deep dog poo.

"So it's leverage your after right ? I
know what you'd do. You'd start building
your list wouldn't you?"

Nope.

Although that would be a lot smarter
than the first option because at least
when you have a list full of people who
know and trust you you've got some
leverage, but ...

It's not enough.

It's not going to get me back into the
six figure income range anytime soon,
especially not in 90 days.

If all I have for leverage to start is a
credit card with a $2,000 limited I'd be
lucky to even break even after spending
that money on ads to build my list.

I'd need something better, something
faster, something that gives me a
complete unfair advantage that would
absolutely insure my six figure income
in the next 90 days !

For me , this would be it.....
<a href="https://daegansmith.infusionsoft.com/go/freedvdbootcamp/Jpgroup" rel="nofollow" style="color: #3b5998; That Is The Question.

A few days ago I did a consult with a
private client who asked me a question
you've probably got swimming in your
head right now with . . .

All the excitement about the concept of
attraction marketing:

"What should I be focusing on in my
business right now, building my brand or
building my downline?"

This is a point of confusion for many,
so let me share a little bit of insight
on this exact question, which, once
digested, will bring clarity to exactly
what you should be doing to drive the
bottom line in your home business
online, but first . . .

A quick definition: What does
"attraction marketing" really mean?

Attraction marketing, as a concept, is
interesting, genius, and misunderstood.

At its base level, it espouses an almost
magically enticing appeal - "how great
would that be if I could just attract
people that asked me proactively if I
would do them the honor of letting them
join my business? Yeah ... I want to
learn how to do that!"

For that, it's genius, but the major
misconception about all this is to HOW
this "magical attraction"" occurs.

To many, it means - "Go brand yourself.
Be bigger than life. Be the vision of
what my prospects want and like magic,
they will appear," but ...

The truth of the matter is, all that
"attraction marketing" is, is online
direct response marketing.

***Direct response marketing is the art
of finding the people most likely to say
yes to what you have to offer, then
letting them know that you have what
they want, and finally offering it to
them in an irresistible way.

This process is driven by logical
questions that anyone can ask, find
answers to, and reap the rewards of.

But ...

At its basal level it's not about "brand
building" and that's what causes the
confusion.

Let's look at the questions we all
should be asking so you can answer them
silently to yourself as I go on:

- Who is my ideal prospect?

- What is their biggest nagging,
embracing, and painful problem?

- Where do they hang out?

- Can I get in front of them in a cost
effective way?

- How large and how rabid is the
community?

- What can I offer that's slightly
different and better than the pack?

Now, you go about answering those
questions, planning your course of
action to find your ideal prospects,
lure them in with exactly what they're
salivating for, carry on a conversation
to identify with them in their
vernacular, offer them your solution,
and a profitable business you shall
have.

But ... Why do I go through all that?

Because without understanding the true
definition of attraction marketing,
addressing the question of "To Brand or
Build?" that we started with would lack
depth and understanding.

Attraction marketing is more about,
finding, communicating, and offering,
than it is about simply "being"
something "attractive" and waiting for
the powerful magnetic force to drive
results. In other words, it's totally
action oriented in nature.

The person who concerns themselves with
building their personal brand at the
inception of their business, is in my
opinion, wasting a good deal of time.

Yet, this time, if used properly, could
easily be converted into money and
recruits.

For the home business entrepreneur
struggling with this question of "to
build or brand" - I offer you the
following solution.

Simply do both.

Here's how . . .

Start by mentally thinking about what of
VALUE you want to provide to your target
market .

Get to work on creating the expertise
and results for the area of value you
ultimately want to share, and ...

As you make new breakthroughs and
discoveries, share them.

When you're good enough, put together an
entire "best practices guide."

A beginners course for the person
struggling in that area you're now
mastering.

Offer your insights in that guide:

- Your foundational philosophical
marketing principles for success

- What NOT to do

- What to do

- A step by step implementation process
for realizing results from your material

- A barometer for how to know when
they're on the right track

And finally . . .

- How to translate those first success
into bigger ones.

Once you've done that, your brand is
your expertise, you're profiting by your
expertise, and no doubt ...

People will come "a knocking" for how to
work closer with you.

Don't build the brand, build the skill,
share the knowledge, and the natural
by-product will be your brand.
Why slave away doing SEO or submitting
articles or creating 1000 videos no one
will ever watch to generate 2 leads
every 3 days when ...
You can get 1000s for "better than free"
daily doing nothing?

I'll explain "better than free" in a
bit.

You'll love it and it's NOT what you
think ...

So there I was sitting in the room with
Carlos.

Carlos makes $5 mil a month. No joke. He
showed me, and I paid $25K to sit in
that room.

And I ask him ... "How?"

He says to me ...

Simple.

"Micro => Macro"

That's how.

And in that moment I knew my money was
more than well spent.

Those that make more don't work harder,
they just work WAY smarter.

I mean ...

From that statement, within 4 months.

No joke ...

I went from getting just 50 leads a day
to 2,673 and the kicker is ...

I worked less to get 2,673 leads than I
did to get 50.

Doesn't make sense now, but it will.

Here's what that little "Micro => Macro"
thing Carlos shared with me meant.

He meant ...

You test small, but you test like a mad
man small.

Once you have your product or license
one.

BTW - Carlos was making $5 mil a month
off a product he licensed.

He didn't even create it.

Once you have your product you TEST
EVERYTHING.

Headlines. Price Points. Background
Color. Ever Single Email Subject Line.
Product Images. Order Forms. Exit Pops.
Landing Pages. Calls To Action. One Time
Offers. Bonuses. Etc ...

I could on all day, but I think you get
the picture, and ...

You better believe that's exactly what I
did when I got home.

Like a freaking mad scientist.

All day and all night.

For like 60 days straight.

I must have looked like a zombie,
but ...

I got my little product funnel
converting like an insane rabid dog.

When I was making like $12 per lead I
knew I was ready.

(Leads only cost me like $2 so I was
making like $10 on ever lead on a small
scale)

Then I did exactly what Carlos said.

I went BIG.

Next ...

I take a much needed vacation to Greece
and then ...

One morning I check my emails from
the lobby of the hotel I'm staying
in in the middle of Syntagma Square
in Athens, and ...

BTW: Check out the view of the
Acropolis I had from my suite:

http://comlev.com/click.html?x=a62a&lc=Rs&mc=6&s=ff7e&y=G&

I see 1300 leads come my way.

The next day I see 1800 leads.

The next day I see 2,673 leads, and ...

It just continues on like that the whole
2 week vacation and definitely doesn't
slow down when I get back home.

I was hanging out in Greece generating
50X more leads than I was before I knew
what Carlos shared with me.

(and worked my ass off)

Worth $25k?

I think so, but here's the kicker.

Everything I did to create that
marketing funnel that generated 2,673
leads per day while not working,
and I mean ...

Ever email, the exact one time offer
sequence, all the tweaks - is right here
for you:

http://comlev.com/click.html?x=a62a&lc=RU&mc=6&s=ff7e&y=9&

So a question ...

I paid $25k just to learn what to do.

Then went home and worked like a mad man
for 60 days to create a funnel that
let me get 2,673 leads daily doing
nothing.

If you had the same EXACT funnel I
created down to every email subject line.

How much is that worth?

https://daegansmith.infusionsoft.com/go/freedvdbootcamp/Jpgroup

http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2011/05/all-economics-is-local.html

The Secret Why Money Loves Speed

"Money LOVES speed."

Got it?

If not, don't worry it will ALL make
sense by the time you finish today's
lesson.

Here's the first secret ...

"Financial Efficiency"

Which simply means the more money you
keep the move leverage you have.

Most new marketers completely violate
this rule. Even some more seasoned vets
never get it, and as a result their
income never breaks a couple thousand a
month.

They don't get it, but you will.

Here's how most newbies violate this
rule by either JUST trying to recruit or
trying to use some off the shelf
recruiting system that pays them 40% or
less in commissions when they make
sales.

Who stands a better chance of making
more money?

You keeping 100% of every dollar
you make or the next guy that keeps
40% of every dollar they make at best?

The answer is apparent.

You do. You win.

Here's the second secret ...

"Financial Agility"

Which simply means the more often you
turn your money over the more profits
you'll create.

Most new marketers also violate this
rule.

Here's what I mean ...

When they promote their company or some
of the shelf system they get a check
about once a month.

On the flip side the person that makes
money directly to their bank account on
a daily basis gets paid daily.

Who can turn their money over faster?

You getting paid daily or the next guy
that has to wait 30 to 60 days to get
paid?

You do. You win.

Now let's put it all together.

Ready?

Remember ... "Money LOVES speed"

The person that gets paid 100% of the
money they generate and get that money
on a daily basis NOT only makes more,
but ...

They can turn that money over on a daily
basis, and as a result ...

There's a compounding effect.

Which means you don't just make money
faster, but you make more money faster
and faster.

You're income growth accelerates.

It's like you're in a Lamborghini and
you're racing a guy on a go cart.

It's not even fair.

If you can go out and invest your money
daily and the next guy can only invest
40% of the money he makes every 30 days
who's going to win?

You. You win.

Now let me show you something ...

Do you ever wonder why the gurus "seem"
so smart and can make money where you
can't?

Why they always seem to be on the
cutting edge?

It's because they have one thing you
don't that let's them turn their money
over daily and as a result ...

They make major breakthroughs and, make
more money - faster and easier than you
ever can without it.

That one thing is this - I'll show you
it in this video:
https://daegansmith.infusionsoft.com/go/freedvdbootcamp/Jpgroup

http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2011/05/all-economics-is-local.html

The Problem We Face In Network Marketing.

Here's the problem we all face in
network marketing.

Our small warm market doesn't want
anything to do with our business and our
cold market doesn't know or want
anything to do with us.

Pretty tough situation to find success
in wouldn't you say?

Well it's not something that can't be
overcome.

But let's take a closer look at it
first.

In order to overcome this issue we have
to do one of two things.

1. Grow our warm market until we find a
few people that we haven't hit over the
head with our less than successful
efforts and get them excited enough in
our new business to get started.

2. Somehow have our cold market get to
know us enough to want to do business
with us.

Well I'm going to share with you a
little secret that I've used that's
worked like gang busters to solve this
problem.

I'm going to show you how to turn your
cold market warm.

And the truth is, this little secret
principle to success has been under your
nose all along, you probably just didn't
know it.

https://daegansmith.infusionsoft.com/go/mlsv/Jpgroup/

So let me ask you a question . . .

What's the difference between your warm
market and your cold market?

Simple right?

Your warm market knows you and your cold
market doesn't.

Well to the next question . . .

Why does your warm market know you so
well?

The answer to this is very simple as
well . . .

You interact with your warm market all
the time.

For instance, you probably speak to your
family and friend at least on a weekly
basis and share ideas and stories about
what's going in their life and yours.

You interact a lot.

On the flip side,

Your cold market, you know, those red
hot leads you buy and call ...

You probably only interact with once.

You make a cold call or send out one
promo email for your business and you
wait to see how they react.

You wanna see whether they join your
business or give you a call or something
like that.

Well there's a problem with this.

They don't know you, so why would they
leap out of their seats to pick up the
phone to get in touch with you because
you sent them an email.

Now ...

If you sent your best friend an email
that said "Hey give me a call later
today" don't you think there would be a
pretty good chance that they would?

The reason is you have a relationship
with your friend where you don't with
your cold market.

So here's how to solve our little
marketing conundrum.

You have to turn your cold market warm
to get them to respond.

How do you do this?

The same way you do with your friends
and family.

Just stay in contact with them on a
regular and consistent basis.

Over time, many of those in your cold
market will become your closest friends
if you treat them like friends.

In your marketing efforts, if you want
to get the best results focus on staying
in contact with your cold market
consistently and over time you'll find
you have a world full of friends ready
to join you in your cause.

https://daegansmith.infusionsoft.com/go/mlsv/Jpgroup/

http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2011/05/all-economics-is-local.html

What Is A Mentor ?

A mentor is a big part of a persons success,
and a must have for leaping forward in your business!

Before I explain I have a short story to tell you that
I feel relates to what a mentor is !

Bernadine Dutra knows what it's like to be a child
wearing tattered old clothes to school, which was her
situation many years ago when she was a school girl.

Now in her seventies, Dutra, from Freemont, California,
has made sure children don't have to feel bad about
their clothing the way she did. She operates a used
clothing store, OneChild, that provides free clothing
to needy children. Each child gets a set of clothing,
plus books, school supplies and a backpack.

Dutra says the kids can come to her shop without
embarrassment and have a private appointment with a
personal shopper who will help them pick out their
attire.

This is a story from a paper that I was reading this
morning over breakfast. This story clicked in my head
the feeling that we all went threw, when first looking
to start up a business but had no idea where to start
and nothing to start with.

A mentor is a person that went threw the hard road on
building a business, they failed many times. They went
threw the highs and lows of emotions that a person goes
threw .

Most Mentors built a profitable business from nothing,
only a dream just like Bernadine in the story above.
She went threw hardship as a child, she knows the feeling
of having nothing and in a way she is a mentor herself.

Following a mentor cuts your time in half, they know what
works and can save you time, money, and many sleepless
knights .
favorite ways to use funded proposals to
recruit people in a private and
exclusive group and ...

Without a doubt, there were more than a
few misconceptions about how to use
funded proposals to recruit effectively.

It was almost as if those in the group
thought there was a "magic" way to
recruit more people, and the truth is,
there is, but ...

It's not where most people think it is.

If you'd like to add a little magic to
your recruiting efforts where it counts
pay close attention.

First off ... what is a "funded
proposal" anyway?

Most people think it's creating a
product to sell. If that's what you
think you'd be partially right.

Although, creating your own information
product IS a type of funded proposal, my
own personal definition is far wider.

In my opinion ...

Adding a funded proposal aspect to your
business is anything you do to make
money now.

It's as simple as that.

Selling products falls under this
definition, BUT ...

What about list building, realizing
revenue via affiliate programs, Adsense,
etc?

These are TYPES of funded proposals that
most people miss out on and the reality
is ...

It's far easier to make money from the
outset using multiple methods than it is
to spend your time trying to create that
ONE perfect product.

The advantage of having your own "funded
proposal" in your business is simply
that you make money now.

There in lies the "magic".

The more you make now the more leads you
get tomorrow and ...

The higher the probability you recruit
more people with less resistance and
with more ease.

Moral:

Aggressively make money now and you win
now and tomorrow.

Pretty simple right?

Now that we've got that taken care of
...

Where most people in the group had
distorted misconceptions about "funded
proposals" was in how to use them to
grow their backend business
opportunities.

It was as if they believed there was a
special "magic" trick.

There isn't.

The "magic" isn't in tricks, instead
it's found here ...

I remember way back whenI first started
pondering push button recruiting ...

I bought a product called "Network
Marketing In The Internet Age" by a guy
named Frank Garon.

It was a 6 cassette course that I paid
$197. (That's right cassettes)

As soon as that thing hit my doorstep I
wore that sucker out.

I had to have listened to it 40 times or
more.

It was a truly mind expanding experience
for me at the time.

About 6 weeks after I purchased and
listening through that sucker 40 times I
mustered the courage to call the creator
of the course, and ...

I'm sure you can guess why.

It was to get involved in any
opportunity he was in.

I found his number.

I called it.

He answered.

I was floored that I was actually
talking to the guy I had just listened
to for the last six weeks.

My first question?

"How can I join your business?"

I was in, and there in lies more magic
of info product funded proposals.

You're not an expert before you create
an info product as a funded proposal,
you become an expert BECAUSE you create
one.

Once there, there are several ways to
use that customer/trainer relationship
to recruit more, and all are simple.

For example ...

One thing I used to do was I would
simply have a tagline at the end of my
emails.

(just like this one you're reading)

That said ...

"This is the opportunity that changed my
life."

From there, I would provide the link to
my opportunity.

I didn't even think about it.

Because my prospect saw my product which
edified the recommendation and saw my
opportunity they were more than curious
about it.

I recruit many a person that way.

Another simple way you can recruit from
a funded proposal is to simply use the
last few pages of your info product to
let your prospects know more about your
opportunity in a none pushy "for your
information if you're curious" fashion.

It works like a charm.

Yet another way to use your funded
proposal to recruit is to simply
recommend your opportunity on your thank
you page after purchase.

Here's the MOST Important Point:

Aggressively profiting NOW positions you
to generate more leads faster than the
next guy.

You've got an advantage.

You've got your own captive audience.

It is there the magic lies.

Not some hypnotic phrase or trick only
the gurus know.

Now that you've got recruiting down,
duplication is next.

http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2011/05/all-economics-is-local.html

How To Make Attraction Marketing Work.

What I have to share with you today about
Attraction Marketing will be something that fills in
what you may see as a huge gap between
where you are now in your business and
where you want to be.

Despite what you may think, creating
lasting success and a profitable long
term business for yourself leveraging
the internet is a LOT closer than you
think.

And it has everything to do with what
I'm about to share with you.

Success is so close, but you have to
believe and take action on what's to
follow or you'll never realize how close
you actually are to . . .

- Quitting your job and working on your
own terms

- Providing a better future for your
family

- Finding new meaning and a new sense of
value for what you contribute to the
world

- Finally earning what you're worth
instead of what you're willing to settle
for

And ...

Here's where it begins.

During 96% of the conversations I've
held to date, those good people, I spoke
to had an excellent understanding of
what attraction marketing is, but ...

Where most were met with confusion that
stopped them in their tracks from
achieving breakthrough personal results
in their business was realizing how to
actually apply attraction marketing to
THEIR business.

Likely, that's where you may be confused
as well.

And you know what, people are funny
creatures. We don't like to be confused.
We are hard wired to find the answer to
our most pressing problems.

The problem is, for most, this has meant
buying more stuff in an effort to fill
in the gap between comprehension of what
attraction marketing is and how to
actually apply it to their business,
but...

The answer to "how to actually make
attraction marketing work" isn't in any
of those courses and as result, by the
time I had good old, down to earth,
conversations with folks they were just
flat out confused and in massive
information overload.

Well, no one left those conversations
(or will leave them) confused and
neither will you once you've finished
reading this.

First, let's talk about the basics of
attraction marketing so we're all on the
same page.

To put it simply, it's about using
marketing to attract the most likely
prospect to either join your business or
buy something you have to offer.

Everyone gets that part, where the gap
lies is in how to actually do it.

Here's how . . .

You start by defining WHO the right
prospect is. Who's your ideal customer?
Who's the best person to join your
business?

Once you've got a good idea (and it's
likely someone just like you) you take
the next step by asking a simple
question ...

"What are their biggest problems?"

Take some time to brainstorm this
yourself. Write out the answers on a
piece of paper so you can see your
answers in full clarity.

For example, if you're in the home
business industry, then your brainstorm
will look something like this.

- Getting more and better leads - Making
more money quickly - Recruiting with
ease

And the list may go on (and should), but
here's where MOST people mess up ...

Once you know their biggest problems you
MUST choose one to solve for them.

Now, at this point, you don't have to be
an expert. You just have to choose a
path - a problem to solve.

Let's say it's getting more and better
leads - that's the problem you want to
solve for people. Great!

Now you ask the next logical question
which is ...

"What are some methods for generating
leads online that work?"

Again this is a brainstorm, you don't
have to be an expert.

You'll likely end up with a list of
things like:

- Pay per click - Article marketing -
Video marketing - Facebook - Newsletter
advertising - Banner advertising - Etc.

Finally choose the one you like best and
here's where it gets hairy - do some
research.

Buy some products that teach you how to
get results with your chosen lead
getting channel.

Test what you learn in those products.

Most likely, you'll come out with some
positive results if you put your mind to
it.

You'll also make a few breakthroughs
yourself - things that weren't taught,
but you learned through the school of
hard knocks out there testing.

That experience you gain along with
those results BECOME your starting point
for adding unique value to the
marketplace.

Ok, so before we go any farther, let me
just quickly recap where we are ...

If we want to make attraction marketing
work for us, then we must FIRST know who
we want to attract, what their problems
are, choose a problem, go about gaining
some specific knowledge in the area of
solving said problem, and finally test
what we learn out there in the real
world. As a result you'll end up with
experience and result = value.

IMPORTANT: None of this means you must
be an expert - only a person willing to
go out and solve the problems, on a
basic level, of those you want to
attract.

Now here's where the "attraction magic"
happens.

We go back to the marketplace with our
solution - maybe we start out with a
simple lead capture page and a short
free report or video to explain our new
insights to help our target market
overcome their hurdles.

Here's the secret - When you create your
lead capture page be mindful of what
your prospect really wants, which is
ideally ...

An instant resolution to their most
immediate problem - and so that's
exactly what you want to provide them on
your landing page as a reason to opt in.

So if I were going to share with people
how to use article marketing to generate
free leads passively, I wouldn't have as
a headline "How To Use Article To Get
Free Leads" (It would work, but it's not
the best way to attract the BEST
prospects to you.)

A MUCH more powerful approach may be to
search our inventory of new found
experiences we've accumulated in the
school of hard knocks for the ONE simple
thing that will bring them the highest
level of results with the least effort.

So, I know that, for example with
article marketing, the simplest way to
double your results from what you do is
to simply, at the end of your articles,
instruct your readers to click your
resource box in the last few lines of
your article.

That sounds simple, easy, and effective
right? BINGO! That's what we advertise.

Maybe a headline like ...

"Who Else Wants To Discover A Little
Known Trick That's Guaranteed To Doubles
Your Free Leads Instantly And Forever
And Works In 3 Seconds Or Less"

Now we could do better, but I think you
get where I'm going. That second
headline creates a LOT more curiosity,
hence will have a higher conversion rate
for you, and ...

If we want to get deep, the second
headline also assumes that the person is
trying to get traffic already and hence
speaks more directly to the person out
there that is taking action to try to
get results in their business.

The person, not just thinking about
results, but actually working for them,
at the end of the day ends up being a
much better lead for you.

So you'll "attract" more action oriented
people who are who you want to attract
anyways right?

And all we did was we took something we
knew our prospects had as a problem, and
thought more intimately about the nature
of how they wanted that problem solved
and spoke to them right at the heart of
it - that's magic.

When you can do this, and maybe you need
to read this a few more times, you can
go into any marketplace and attract the
best prospects to you whenever you want.

Now, here's the last thing I didn't
mention.

We get confused when we have a lot of
general knowledge and no direction to
apply that information to create
meaningful results in our lives.

When you choose a specific group of
prospect, a problem they have, then go
about creating a solution for them
yourself now when you go out and market
your own stuff you do it with laser like
clarity, so in other words ...

Once you go through this process you'll
find you'll have a marketing message
that resonates with your BEST prospects
no matter where or how you choose to
advertise and as a result you'll suck
the attention of the best of the herd
like a hoover vacuum.

http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2011/05/all-economics-is-local.html

The Strategy Of Newsletter Marketing.

Bar none my favorite and in my experience the
most exciting way to drive massive numbers
into your downline in the least amount of
time is the strategy of newsletter marketing.

Today I'd like to share a few tips that will
help you get a maximum response from using
this form of marketing, pay close attention
because this stuff isn't in any e- books or
courses I've seen out there.

It works like this . . .

There are newsletters that cater to every
interest imaginable, from gardening to
raising poodles, so it only makes sense that
there are newsletters out there that serve
crowds of individuals wanting to earn a living
from home.

Because the crowd who reads these newsletters
are interested in starting a business and
looking forward to receiving more information
on starting a business from home they are an
extremely responsive crowd to get your
message in front of.

The best ad I've placed in one of these
newsletter brought in some 75 people in a few
days while I was still working the good old
JOB.

I gotta tell you, there's no better feeling
than coming home from the grind to see 50 new
people in your downline while you were gone.

The way that we as marketers can get in front
of these folks is to place an ad in one of
these publications.

What you might not know is there are several
types of ads that you can place in these
publications and each type will return a
different rate of response.

If you're anything like me, I know you're
probably wondering what's the BEST way to get
the highest response? If so listen closely .
. .

I've placed every type of ad imaginable in
these publications and bar none the best of
the bunch is called a "solo ad". It's a form
of an ad that goes out to the entire
subscriber base with no other competing
noise.

So right here you can see the advantage of
such a type of ad, but here's a reason why
you need to placing this sort of an ad above
all others that you may not have considered.

If you place any other ad you're competing
with both the content in that newsletter as
well as other ads, so to get maximum share
voice you want to be the only one there, but
the REAL reason why solo ads out pull all
others is because you control the subject
line of the emailing itself.

That's where the real power is in placing a
solo ad. The reason why is because even if
you've got a killer ad in the newsletter
competing with others that draws in clicks
like crazy if that email never gets opened it
doesn't matter one bit.

If you control the subject line of the
mailing now you control how many eyeballs
actually see the ad which is kingpin here. If
they don't see it they can't respond, so if
you get them to see the ad with a strong
subject line that gets them to open the email
the lion share of the work is done.

Another thing you might not know about this
form of marketing is that your response is
NOT so much driven by your call to action as
it is by placing your ad in the right
newsletter.

You could place a killer ad in a bad
newsletter and your responses will be low, but
you can place a mediocre ad in a killer
newsletter and you're almost assured strong
results.

So the key to newsletter marketing is placing
the right type of ad. A solo ad so that you
can control the subject line ensuring the
maximum number of people open the email and
picking the right newsletter to place the ad
in in the first place.

You get these two things right and you'll
find yourself coming home from work one day
with tons of people in your business while
you were away. Then not to long after you
won't be going to work because you're making
a full time living from your business.

http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2011/05/all-economics-is-local.html

How To Recruit With Words.

Just a few days ago I was going through a
free report that will shed some powerful
light on how to recruit with words.

The author of the report was a professional
copywriter working for one of the most famous
copywriting firms in the world.

This guy was writing a sales letter for a
golf related product.

In the letter, the copywriter referred to
what he THOUGHT was most important to his
market.

He addressed two major frustrations in the
golfing world - hitting the ball father and
eliminating hooks and slices.

Upon completion of the letter the copywriter
took the letter to the big boss for a final
review.

His boss, being one of the most accomplished
copywriters in the world and having written
several high performing offers for the golf
world, looked at the letter and gave him some
simple advice . . .

"Forget about the slice stuff and focus the
entire letter on hitting the ball farther.
That's REALLY what the market is after."

The copywriter followed the advice of his
boss and made the appropriate changes and
ended up with a winner.

The moral of the story is . . .

Don't worry about the ancillary stuff. Deal
with the biggest problem and frustration of
the target market and dig deep on it.

What this means to you and I as
network marketers is this (and it's important)...
forget about everything in your venture
except solving the main problem of
your prospect.

In the network marketing world, the problem
always comes back to money. Solve that and
that alone.

To be honest, no one cares about your
companies products for the most part. All
they really want to know is "how" they are
going to make money.

From your prospect's perspective, if you give
them a good opportunity to solve their money
problems, they can always rationalize that
the product or service is "good".

Waste no time describing your product or why
your company is so great, unless it directly
supports how and why your prospects have the
best chance of making money with it.

Look around both the online and offline
network marketing world and you'll soon see
very clearly that this is the model that just
about every highly successful opportunity
uses.

So, you use it to. And you think of yourself
as the opportunity NOT your company, but I'll
explain as we dig deeper here.

So let's get to the step by step.

First, you begin with a headline that
addresses the concern of money.

Second, you start your sales letter with a
lead in that either pulls your audience
directly into your story to both entertain
and address again the concern or you can
simply pose a question that would pull them
in deeper like "If you're sick and tired of
working pay check to paycheck then pay
attention to everything you're about to
read."

Next you dig deeper into your story. If you
have a good one be sure to bring up your real
life failures that they can identify with.

Why?

So that when your prospect reads it he then
begins to think "If this guy can do it after
going through all this then so can if I just
know what he knows."

If you can arouse that sort of curiosity then
you're on the right track.

Follow this up by bringing up a few things
that they may have learned or tried in the
past and explain why the only result of
following that path is failure. Be sure to
explain exactly why.

Allude to the idea that you've found a way
around.

Bring up your biggest "Ah Ha" moment. The
thing that changed everything for you.

http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2011/05/all-economics-is-local.html

Three Most Powerful Ways To Recruit People On A Shoestring Budget.

I get asked all the time what's the best way
to generate leads and recruit people into my
business on a shoestring budget, so today
we're going to review the three most powerful
ways to do just that.

1. Funded Proposal:

The best way to increase your probability of
success in your business is to turn your
little budget into a much larger one while
generating leads and a profit in the process.
If you don't have much money to promote your
business then the first thing you should
think about is how to make your budget
larger, not how to get by solely on free
traffic.

Why?

Free traffic is great, but to win in the end
you want to have the ability to generate
traffic from as many different places as
possible and well, most high yield
advertising does cost money, so it's a
reality to understand and overcome, not try
to maneuver around.

A funded proposal gives you the opportunity
to generate leads and have those leads pay
for themselves through the sale of the
products in your marketing system.

So the most important strategy is to think
about how you can afford to pay more for
advertising instead of trying to do
everything free and using a funded proposal
system is by far the most powerful way to do
this.

2. Article Marketing:

After returning from an extremely informative
seminar this weekend the power of article
marketing has been reinforced in my mind in a
big way. I personally have written some 350
plus articles that has lead to over 80,000
references to my name in Google. That's
powerful.

This past weekend I listened to the
strategies of an article marketing specialist
and this method alone had yielded him over
$12,000 a month all via free traffic.

If those two things aren't proof enough that
article marketing is powerful then I don't
know what is.

It's free, it's viral, and produces the
highest converting leads of all traffic
sources I've tracked, so I suggest you use
this strategy and use it in a big way.

An article a day keeps the J.O.B. away!

3. Blogging:

This one may surprise you, but blogging is
not only a powerful tool to use in your
prospecting efforts, but it's a highly
targeted free traffic generator as well.

In fact I was extremely surprised to see that
one of my blogs that I use solely for
prospecting and as a meeting place for my
team after checking my server stats to this
day generates over 2000 unique visitors a
month and all I do is write stuff and add it
to the blog.

Don't expect blogging to bring you big
traffic today or tomorrow, but six months
down the line when you have over 100 post or
so on your blog mark my words the search
engines are going to be sending you some
significant traffic just for you having put
that content out there !

http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2011/05/all-economics-is-local.html

The "Power" Of Tragedy.

The power of tragedy is that provides a
more compelling a story line than
anything else.

Think back to all the most powerful
stories throughout history.

And well, here's where this matters to
you and me.

Right now, your story might be something
of a tragedy, things aren't going right,
you're hitting the wall, you're going
through the school of hard knocks for
the eighth time.

Well, guess what? It happens to us all
at some point, and once you rise above
it like the phoenix from the flame
you'll find . . .

In sharing the truth of your own tragedy
with those who come after will be one
of your most powerful and real assets
to attract good-real people to your
cause.

Never be ashamed, never be afraid to
share the truth, the good the bad and
the ugly, and you'll find your worst
times to be one of the most powerful
forces you can and will use to propel
a major reason why many network
marketers don't make it.

So many get into their first business
full of high hopes and an open mind but
then are quickly given some of the worst
advice imaginable.

It happened to me.

What was that advice?

Go out there and let's get some leads so
you can get a team under you as fast as
possible to cover your costs.

This advice cost me over $7,417 over the
course of seven months which I never
recouped in any way shape or form.

Bad advice on two points:

1. Buying leads takes a major point of
control in your business away from you
as a marketer.

You're paying someone to give you leads,
and you have no control over where they
come from, how they are delivered, or
how many people those leads are
distributed to.

This is bad.

2. Trying to recruit your way to a
situation where your cost are covered in
full is not something that can or will
happen quickly.

The money you earn in your network
marketing business is cut up into 100s
of different little pieces to suit your
compensation plan. Of the money you
bring into you company you really only
get a small portion of it.

This is not necessarily a bad thing,
because this leverage swings both ways.
Once you have a big team under you,
those little pieces start to add up into
something significant. You're just not
going to make much money quickly trying
to recruit your way to covering your
costs.

That's what most network marketers are
taught is a favorable economic situation
- Recruiting your way to the break even
point. It can happen, but ...

Only the strong survive.

What happens to most is what happened to
me.

You spend hundreds on leads and get no
results.

The next month you do it again.

The next month you do it again.

Now you not only have your company's
membership cost to recoup you've also
got this big advertising debt to recoup
AND to make matters worse you're trying
to do it with recruiting.

This is a situation that's literally
going to take you years if ever to
recover.

It's like trying to dig a hole and every
time you remove some dirt someone else
with a shovel twice the size of yours
fills in your hole and adds twice as
much dirt as you just removed.

Now you got a little hill growing in
front of you and you started digging on
flat ground.

You look over at your sponsor and say:

"Hey this doesn't look like it's going
to work."

He says ...

"Just keep digging, that's how it works.
If you dig long enough and fast enough
you'll make it work."

You keep digging and that, once, flat
ground is now a mountain.

You look at it in disgust and realize
you've only made the problem worse.

Either you did something completely
wrong or someone lied to you.

You didn't do anything wrong.

Favorable economics occurs when you have
a flow of leads that pays for itself and
will continue to pay for itself NOT when
you have covered those cost with your
companies check.

http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2011/05/all-economics-is-local.html
