Dream-scaping

2016-02-28T06:23:00.003-08:00

After some time with meditation, as I hope you'll soon notice, I started to not only remember my dreams in more detail, I was also able to control them better. For me this came about naturally. There was no meeting, that I know of, with my over-soul or any other inter galactic beings; not to say that there wasn't a meeting of sorts at one time. It is now a process of honing in on this ability and strengthening it. In this regard my over-soul is helping me with my dream-scaping and it is progressing very nicely. I feel like a director that is creating their movie or play. I also feel like a screenwriter because I keep a dream log to track and help remember the messages my dreams have given me.

Before my over-soul's assistance, when I would waken in the middle of the night, I could return to my dream where I left-off. It was and is like pausing a DVD and then press PLAY after I come back to bed again and closed my eyes. This I can do no matter how many times I awake at night. If you can't do this, you will, and if you can't remember your dreams at all, you will start to with the progression of your meditation.

But if you're still not having much success and would like more lucid dreams, or what I call 'trippie dreams,' like to have more control over your dreams and would like to remember your dreams better, ask your over-soul to help you. Quite a number of my dreams have started out in my work station and have progressed from there, which only makes sense; I'm already in these levels of my brain waves. This is the reason that I've said that I can't meditate laying in bed because I will fall asleep. I have just used this to my advantage. This may help you as well.

What I have found, as I've mentioned in chapter eight 'stomach mind,' thoughts are everything and will dictate your life, and it is our thoughts that will shape and direct our dreams. This also goes for what I read. I've had to stop 'cable' and/or only watch nature documentaries or 'good hearted' material because I will take it to bed with me and sleep with it, or try to sleep with it. Before this time I tossed and turned and hardly slept at all. Dreams, again like a DVD recorder, will playback to you your thoughts whatever 'shape' they are in or whatever 'rating' they have or whatever the 'title' they have. Your thoughts, what you have wrapped your head around, will be showcased for you to view and be critiqued. This is what I feel our 'dream mechanism' is for; to review our situation and be able to change it for the better, and to ultimately change your life for the better.

That is the reason I never, EVER watch horror movies or read books like this anymore. They will lead to nightmares. I don't even look at doom and gloom posts on Facebook or read any articles like this. I watch what goes into my mouth and what goes into my head. As to why I've started two Facebook groups geared to a positive and loving frequency. #FunnyFaceDay and the group titled #WeInterGalacticBeings.

We truly are intergalactic beings and our thoughts should be geared to that realm of thinking and understanding. To think otherwise is only selling ourselves short. To view other things that don't pertain to that life-style and convey a lack of self-worth thinking and of weakness of soul is only compromising your true self, your Temple. Don't let these outside influences influence your progress, because that is the reason they are there. To believe in yourself as an intergalactic being you will be as such. Your soul's evolution and your over-soul is counting on you.

face Yourself

.... "but, but look at the beautiful view!"

I would like to think that I'd be like this pig I photographed on the way back from Colorado. It seems not to give a damn what is coming at the end of this truck ride. Granted, it probably has no idea and luckily so. But there is a chance, taking in consideration their intelligence, it could realize something. It could be getting some idea, some inkling, some vibrations either from the other travelers or the travelers who left their scent behind. In any event, for me this pig signifies a calm it took on for itself before the storm. The feelings I had many times in my life when I just could not get so upset or depressed like the others around me. In fact there were others, ones I thought so close, that got all upset and mad at me because I wasn't letting myself get all upset and dramatic like they were. Imagine that, hating others that don't get upset with you. We're an interesting breed.

But there were still some times in the morning that I would look in the mirror and have to make a funny face at myself. Most times now I smile at myself and say, "good morning JR, I love you, man" and that's enough to break out of the gloom. But there are times, particularly Monday mornings, that a funny face sure began to help, but the Beta mind and ego was just too powerful. I had to literally tickle myself to get the 'show on the road' so I could function that day, that day, at my usual optimistic self. Ya see, I wouldn't have it any other way, and wouldn't ever, ever, want to be around anybody that would compromise me from being me. The Me I know and love. Period.

With meditation as my 'tonic,' and this added morning exercise of a funny face, negativity had no chance in hell of success in ruining my day, the only day I have. And that goes for the day that all of us dread. The day after a nice weekend. A weekend of having time-off and being away from work; especially so if we dislike or even hate the work that we signed on to do so we can pay our bills. And that thought helps to, mind you. To shift the thoughts by saying to yourself, "if I didn't go to work today, and the rest of this week, I'd probably be on the street homeless! I wouldn't be able to live here in the first place and be in this nice warm steamy bathroom looking at myself in the mirror and waiting for the miracle of a smile to reflect back at myself!"

Funny, did ya ever think, 'well hey it's all just a thought man?' When you had a three day weekend, and had Monday off, the Tuesday took on the 'Monday feeling' you usually had when facing yourself in the mirror. There ya go. Monday is just like any other day. Monday is Friday with only a different kind of thought separating them. And if that doesn't work for you at the moment, think the thought that, 'after today I will be closer to Friday, or closer to Wednesday,' that is called 'hump-day' for this special reason. And on top of that what will really help to face Monday better is making a funny face at yourself in the mirror, or any mirror you come in contact with in your day. Between you and me, there isn't a mirror I pass that I don't smile at myself at, or at least wink at myself. But, if you need more time for Yourself to smile and make a funny face for Monday, instead of running to the bathroom for a mirror all the time, I started this Facebook page to help. Take a funny face Monday selfie. And since H A P P I N E S S is contagious, as well as very healthful, there will be others that will benefit from it as you will. Because, as I said in the beginning of my simple guide to meditation, 'Y O U r o c k.'

..... and so 'when you're chewin' on Monday's gristle, don't grumble and frown, give it a whistle and make a #FunnyFaceMonday at it !......and it doesn't have to be Monday either.

Some things in life are bad they can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse
When you're chewin' on life's gristle, don't grumble give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best

And always look on the bright side of life
Always look on the light side of life

If life seems jolly rotten there's something you've forgotten
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing
When you're feeling in the dumps don't be silly chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle, that's the thing

And always look on the bright side of life
Come on, always look on the bright side of life

For life is quite absurd and death's the final word
You must always face the curtain with a bow
Forget about your sin, give the audience a grin
Enjoy it it's your last chance anyhow

So always look on the bright side of death
Just before you draw your terminal breath

Life's a piece of shit when you look at it
Life's a laugh and death's a joke it's true
You'll see it's all a show keep 'em laughing as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you

And always look on the bright side of life
Always look on the right side of life

And always look on the bright side of life

Always look on the right side of life

Science Fiction is a Dying Art !

2016-01-15T12:48:00.001-08:00

Science Fiction is a dying art, I mean who wants to read about it, see pictures or movies about it when it's happenin all around ya. The meer fact that you are reading this on whatever you are reading it on and the fact of what I have written this on, proves that it is so.

There was a day, I can remember, wishing I could have one of those cool 'things' they use on Star Trek to talk to each other. Today, not more than 5o years later, I have a cell phone (smart phone). Science Fiction is a dying art. I also wished I could be 'beamed-up' or Telle-ported, by Scottie, but I think I'll have to wait a little longer for that. Unless it already exists somewhere in the catacombs of our governments maze of secret what-not. I wouldn't be surprised at all, at all. I've heard that we the people advance only 4 years to every 44 years our "secret government" advances. They certainly wouldn't want us to think we don';t need them. Reminds me of my hub page, 'Time Travel - Remember when we didn't believe in it.' Did you know that 'time travel' was never thought of, never printed and the words never used until H.G. Wells used them in his book?

I love it too but it's a dying art, man. There was a day when I wished I could be able to use one of those devices to breath under water, that I read about it the book, 'Twenty Thousand leagues under the sea' by Jules Verne. Less than ten years later Jacques Cousteau not only used one on his program but was instrumental in it's invention. The Aqua Lung, like the cell phone, are reasons Science Fiction is a dying art. Any future sci-fi book or flick won't be the same with them. They will become 'common-place' items. As will the computer, laptop, video games or whatever else 'comes down the pike' or whatever 'they' allow us to use and feel so futuristic and universal. How many times in your life have you said, "well what will they think of next."

There was a day I wished that I, or we as a people, would be advanced enough to be able to travel in space, like it had in the comic books and on TV. Then ZZZZZZAP - ZWEEXX shortly after we went to the moon for the first time. At least it looked like we did. I watched it in a small black and white TV, that had to be hit on the top of it to get something or other corrected. Be it 'snow' or 'static' or 'voice cracking' or 'no picture at all' there was always an issue with it. Now, fast forward, I have a HD flat screen, not with cable anymore but online streaming. At this day and age I can order a pizza from the TV set while watching a movie, while texting, while emailing a friend my skypay number .... hold on, my cell is humming. Jeez, science fiction is dying all around us as we speak. We are living in it. It has morphed into non-fiction.

Pause and hover with me here for a spell. Was it not science fiction in the day, as well as heresy, to even utter such talk as, "the World is round like the Moon?" Wasn't it science fiction that we could ever start a fire with a match, let alone a lighter. It was sci-fi that one can light a room with electricity instead of candles. Sci-fi that we can use a car now instead of a horse. Television was once science fiction. It was once sci-fi that people could talk to one another over a long electrical wire. Then it was sci-fi that we could talk to one another without the long wire. It was once sci-fi that we could breath under water with a contraption that could be strapped over our shoulders. Sci-fi that we can fly without wings. (remember, "If God had meant us to fly He'd given us wings") Computers were right out of the sci-fi books, comics and movies. And the movies; there were many people who ran scared out of the theater when they saw their first movie. Then it was sci-fi that we would be able to fly in outer space. Sci-fi when we thought we could travel in that outer space to another planet, and no less, land and walk on that planet. Wasn't it sci-fi to think there would be a space station one day? And hey, robots were once science fiction, now they really exist. Science Fiction is a dying art. Good God in the heavens, there's only a few things left for the sci-fi artist to work their spell with. Are you ready for this one? And the big one .... the 'alien thing' ! This one will really cause the art of science fiction to dye.

Though some of you haven't quite made the 'shift' yet, or aloud yourself to do so, no matter how many 'out side stimulants' show you otherwise .... that it was science fiction to think of any space brothers and sisters out there in the vastness of it all, no matter how shockingly vast it is out there in the final frontier. But that's OK, take your time. You know that you're going to be proven wrong anyway someday. 'You guys' always have been. And hey don't worry, they, the 'UFO/Aliens R' US ! They are a huge part of the reason we are so advanced.

"There is no Science Fiction anymore, we are now living it." -JR Hager
I bet-cha the 'Aliens' have no 'science fiction' whats so ever. They grew out of it like we are, and have been. But, I dare say, they might have jokes about us. It's only fare.

Seeeeee, told ya so, man:

Bendable Smart Phone
Your shiny new smartphone is cool, no doubt. It has a ton of apps and can do just about anything — anything, but bend, that is. Dubbed “Youm” by developer Samsung, the prototype technology that’s on the cusp of mass-market-mobile takeover uses organic light emitting diode displays (OLED), and is totally flexible, with some engineers claiming it’s nearly unbreakable.

~ Transparent Aluminum Armor

What starts as powder and suddenly becomes so powerful it can withstand bullets? Well, with a little bit (OK a lot) of heat and pressure: the latest in transparent armor. Lighter and even stronger than bulletproof glass, the Air Force has been testing aluminum oxynitride (ALON) in hopes of replacing windows in its aircraft. And judging by the fact that the clear ceramic material can stop a .50-caliber rifle’s bullet traveling 2,700 feet per second — normally powerful enough to slice through a lightly armored vehicle like butter — we’d say that’s a more-than-justified investment.

~Telepresence

As seen on “Star Wars” and yes “Star Trek,” and just about every galaxy far, far away has envisioned a future wherein we can beam a more “realized” version of ourselves to a distant receiver. While the likes of FaceTime and Skype are nothing to sneeze at, technology developed by Cisco and AT&T is already taking us one step further by allowing a more immersive version of video conferencing. By leveraging state-of-the-art tech sensitive to audio, video, and ambient lighting, teleconferencing kits mirror one’s sounds and surroundings in order to more accurately mimic each side of the two-way communication so that both distant parties feel as though they’re in the same room.

~Military Exoskeleton

Sci-fi films from “Avatar” to “Elysium” have envisioned the soldier of the future, and from the looks of it, today’s battlefield isn’t too far off. Several iterations (starting with GE’s Hardiman in 1966) have brought concepts to life with mixed results, but the most advanced to date is arguably the Raytheon Sarcos XOS.

~3D Printing

Already on the market and not without its share of controversy, 3D printing is just beginning to revolutionize our personal lives and impact nearly every corner of scalable manufacturing. Allowing users to create virtually any shape from a digital model. From industrial to domestic use, an additive process using successive layers of material is able to create anything from bikes to underwear, toys from kid drawings, “foods,” and yes, even firearms.

~Jetpacks

We know what you’re thinking: Finally. As the standard to which we’ve measured how far from “the future” we perpetually remain, the jetpack — despite countless iterations over the years with mixed results — is now a reality, and it may hit the market by next year. Far-Out.

WEED on National Geographic Magazine !

2015-05-27T13:47:00.000-07:00

WEED right there on the cover of my National Geographic Magazine. And the article was in a 'positive light' no less, even though initially I got the wrong idea with the blood red letters ~ 'W E E D' ~ which is like icing on the surprise, 'Reefer Madness' got spent fast like a joint of dry Mex, but to some this discovery may damn near be bong breaking. Oh my the magazine they grew-up with has even gone to pot. And here it comes ....."what is the message they are sending to the children! Next that damn leaf will be on 'Boys Life' and the boys and girl scouts will start sponsoring grow lessons. Did you hear that there is a strain called, 'Girl Scout Cookies! Oh my."

It is a very nice article, but when I was going through the 28 pages I had to check twice to see if I wasn't really looking at a 'weed mag' like 'High Times' or more like 'Treat Yourself ' not the National Geographic my grand mother bought me. Maybe that's why they had few bud shots and stoners and stayed more with the medical side of the burning bush than the recreational side.

There was just one bud shot, one shot of people smoking, one babe a vaping, and one large photo of a child getting a 'dropper' from her mother. There are two grow shots, one bud tenders shot, one shot of a bunch of cash on the floor and two pistols and one shot of a dispensary worker behind jars of nugs, but there is one photo of two brothers that caught my eye and my interest that I have to include it here. I never knew that addicts were able to use Cannabis to remedy their addiction.

God, look at us!

2015-03-23T17:20:00.000-07:00

God, look at us! Our lands, oceans and rivers, once teaming with life that once nourished our bodies and souls are polluted to the point of no return. Jesus, now we have to farm fish! Our air isn't fit to breath and the greenery that had once rejuvenate our oxygen supply is continually being compromised for the need of fossil fuel. Because of this treatment to our home, our Earth, we are sicker than ever. We can't deny it any longer; we are truly reaping what we have sown for ourselves and future generations.

We are in our God's image. Whatever your beliefs are, or non-beliefs are, makes no difference, we get back how we have treated our fellow man, plants and animals, and we have gotten back how we have treated our Earth home. It makes no difference as to what corner of the Earth you call home or the name of your 'good book' you read or the church you attend if you attend any, we all are
one and depend on this symbiosis we have with Earth, for our survival. Always have, always will.

Our creator has many names but they, He, She or It or All That Is, would not and did not create this Earth with us, and all that are our neighbors on it, for this sickness and this devastation. For this unhappiness and ill-treatment of the Earth and of each other. Our 'throw-away-buy-new' mentality has brought us to this point of stagnation and evil.

"Synthetic drugs and foods are for synthetic people and animals. Ever meet any?"-JRH

Everything we will ever need is here on Earth and everything we will ever need is within us. Our bodies, like our dear Earth, are a well tuned organic instrument. We are not synthetic. We are not man made chemicals. And no-matter how hard we try to change this fact or how big our ego or 'our' government gets, we, with the Earth, are not created in man's image, but, dear one, the other way around.

And with the help of the internet we are able to communicate with others from around our great Earth home. We are able to learn and understand from others and their mistake and make a difference. No longer can big business and big government hide their mistakes from us. Now we all can keep tabs on them and when one person finds out something beneficial or something wrong they can instantly alert others with only a click of a button or a click of a 'mouse.'

Yes, it is a small world after all, and thank goodness, or thank God-ness for it. Our life and well-being depends on it. We certainly are what we eat, what we breath and what we are exposed to. Our children depend on our decisions we make today. We surly reap what we have sown.

Here is an excerpt from a book that has become my bible. And don't worry there is no killing in it. No genocide or ethnic cleansing in it. The only bad in it is how we've treated our Earth and our selves in the name of profit. We have certainly committed blasphemous acts against our God. Our Earth. Ourselves.

The Secret Life of Plants
Chapter 15
page 240

In the early nineteenth century an American of English descent named Nichols cleared hundreds of acres of rich virgin land in South Carolina, on which he grew crops of cotton, tobacco, and corn so abundant that with the revenue he built a big house and educated a large Family. Not once in his lifetime did he add anything to the soil. When it became depleted and his crops dwindled, he cleared more land and continued his exploitation of the land. When there was no more land to be cleared the family fortunes declined.

Nichols' son, grown to manhood looked at the poverty-stricken acreage and just moved west to Tennesse, where he cleared two thousand acres of virgin land, like his father he planted cotton, corn and tobacco. When his own son was grown to manhood, the land was once again so depleted from having living things taken from it and none returned that he moved on to Horse Creek in Marengo County, Alabama, there to purchase another two thousand acres of fertile soil and raise and family of twelve children on the proceeds, the town became Nicholsville; Nichols became the owner of a sawmillm a general store, and gristmill. This man's son also grew up to see devastation where his father had grown rich. He decided to move further west and settled in Parkdale, Arkansas, where he bought one thousand acres of good land on the bayou.

Four moves in four generations. Multiplied by thousands, this is the story of how Americans raised food on a continent which was there for the taking. The great- grandson of the original Nichols, together with thousands of other farmers, inaugurated a new era. After World War I he began my farming his new acreage, instead of just mining it, adopting the new government-recommended artigicial fertilizers. For a time his cotton crops prospered, but soon he noticed that his pest population was much worse than it had bee. When the bottom fell out of the cotton market his son Joe decided that medicine, not farming, was to be his career.

At the age of thirty-seven Joe Nichols was a full-fledged physician and surgeon in Atlanta, Texas, when he suffered a massive heart attack which nearly killed him. He was so frightened that for weeks he gave up his practice to consider his situation. All All he had been taught in medical school, pluss opinions of his colleagues, suggested his prognosis was extremely doubtful. There was no answer for his affliction beyond nitroglycerin pills, which alleviated his chest pains but caused equally pain headaches. With nothing better to do than to leaf through the ads of a farming magazine, Nichols came across the line, "People who eat narural food grown in fertile soil don't get heart disease."

"Pure quackery! Quackery of the worst sore," said Nichols of the magazine, which was Organic Gardening and Farming. He through the magazine away but the line nagged at him. At the local library the librarians were helpful in bringing Nichols books on nutrition. He also scoured the medical liturature , but could find no answer to what constituted natural food.

Now, more than thirty years later, Joe Nichols' thousands-acre farm near Atlanta, Texas, is one of the showplaces of the state; he has never again been afflicted with a heart attack. He ascribes both success to the advice which he took from Sir Albert Howard's book Agicultural Testament and Sir Robert Mc- Carrison"s Nutritional and Natural Health. On his farm, not another ounce of chemical fertilizer went into the land, nothing but natural compost.

Nichols realized that all his life he had been eating "junk food," food produced from poisoned land, food that had led straight to a massive heart attack. He remains convinced that the answer to metabolic disease, whether it was heart trouble, cancer, or diabetes, was indeed natural, poison-free food grown on organic fertile soil.

How to be a Street Photographer

2015-02-11T10:51:00.001-08:00

These days it's sure a lot easier to be a photographer than when I started in the late sixties. And that goes for being a street photographer as well.

With digital replacing film, (still brings tears to my eyes) and a camera and/or video on every cell phone (smart or not) anybody can't help but being a photographer. And put this 'anybody' on the street and be at the right place on time, they will have a chance to shoot something worthwhile, memorable and meaningful. And with an automatic camera they can't loose. Point and shoot and, "hey I'm a street photographer."

It seems like a sacrilege to me, it's just too damn simple. Photographers these days just haven't paid the price as far as I'm concerned. Haven't had to worry about what the picture looks like and had to wait till they've developed it or had somebody else do it to find out. Haven't had those moments when you find out the whole roll is ruined because they had the wrong settings, no film in the camera or left the lens cap on. Haven't had those moments when they find out the developer or fixer was weak and they have to shoot over, if they are lucky. Hell, you probably took a picture of somebody on the street already or you're doing it right now as we 'speak' as it were. Or you've taken some photo's of 'cracks' or 'strange people' at Wal-Mart or somewhere, then posted it on Facebook.
JR 'hittin the streets' in Scotland

You're right on your way to be a street photographer, and to think you didn't even have an hour of lessons. Didn't even have to study the zone system. Didn't even have to study anything. Didn't even have to get up early and drudge through thigh deep snow to get to classes at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, like I did. It doesn't seem fair. But between you and me .... pssssss, over here by the deli on 42nd street, I think you guys are damn lucky. It's all 'spoon fed for ya, man. All ya gotta do is show the interest and look, then check-out Google for the answers. (should be called 'Lord Google')

You could do it all yourself, unless you really need to pay a profe$$or to tell you that you're a photographer now and am able to go out and do it yourself. There's a saying, "those who do, do, those who don't, teach." The internet can be your teacher and you wouldn't even have to sign up for any on-line courses. Keep the expenses down so you can purchase some good equipment, unless you want to use only your cell phone. That's a cool idea. Go with it. There are only your own doubts to hold you back.

I would venture to say that all photo journalists are street photographers. We are simply capturing a candid image that comes into view. The timing and pre-visualization is everything, but more the timing than anything else. When you get on to it and being comfortable with your camera and your surroundings is when the pre-visualization will kick in. It will become second nature. You'll know what to expect, then you will be able to judge and position yourself, and camera correctly. Like a sports photographer, you'll be able to look at a situation or play and tell what will 'most likely' happen next because it's happened before like that. And there's always the unexpected, and these times are what make street photography so enjoyable.

But if you can't handle surprises and aren't the type to 'go with the flow' or 'bloom where you're planted,' then studio photography may be more of your speed. Or if you want to make a living, these other branches of photography may be more conducive for your needs, and your checking account. Street Photography is something you have to love to do. Something you do in your spare time, like Vivian Maier was a full-time Nanny. On her days off she grabbed her camera and hit the streets. God love her.

The first two street photographers I heard about in school was Robert Frank and Diane Arbus. Later on I came across Weegee. All three were an inspiration to me. But all three are a bit 'gritty' for my digestion. 'Hard-core' or 'moody' or 'depressing' are other terms I get from their work. And Arbus killed herself, talk about being 'into' her work, her passion.

I have to warn you..... fellow photographer, before you run out to the street and stick a camera in somebody's face. There are people, not so many, that don't like to have their picture taken. Some for their religious reasons. Please be courteous and kind. If you get the feeling or catch some animosity or jealousy in the air either move on without the shot, or ask if they mind, or sneak one. Most people have told me that they don't mind. A few will ask for money before. And there was one that chased me down the street, but I think he just wanted my camera. Since then I covered the 'Nikon' or 'Canon' logo on my camera. And please don't hang-around someplace after you shoot a picture. Shoot and move on. Don't give anybody of bad intent time to figure you out or tell others about you or your location. That could be one of the main reasons I am most times shooting the backs of people for my picture book 'Backs Forward.'

When hittin the streets: (if you like)

Think of a theme, a niche, a topic, or thesis of your shoot.
Check-out the news in your area and see whats happening (art shows, protests, gatherings, meetings, speaking engagements etc.)
Pre-visualize how you want the surroundings and their relationship to the subject or subjects that catch your eye.
Keep in mind the forms and balance in your viewfinder (or monitor) of the structures, light, shadows, reflections, weather, and how you want them to relate and to be conveyed in your image.
Always handle your shoot seriously as if you are putting together a photo essay for a teacher or a professor for an exam that you will get graded on or get credits for. Or think you are putting together a 'picture book' to market and sell on-line.
Always shoot alone so your attention and vision is on your work and not side-tracked on someone else's input or ideas or advisory actions.
.....and always make sure you have enough film .... (: or rather, power :) .... it's a bummer to miss a shot!

Save Your LIFE - Balance Your PH !

2015-01-21T09:26:00.000-08:00

The human body is slightly alkaline so it is better for your health to partake of alkaline foods. When you eat too many acidic foods your body becomes unbalanced and can cause a whole collection of problems like weight gain, poor concentration, fatigue and depression, and that can lead to a host of serious medical conditions.

The human must maintain its own perfect pH level in order for its systems to function properly, and this includes keeping rogue cells from becoming metastatic disease, translating into cancerous tumors in multiple organs. Our ancestors didn’t eat in a way that upset this delicate balance in our bodies.
There is a repressed study out there that shows chemotherapy success is probably more to do with the drugs being alkaline than having any actual cancer killing properties.

It is proven that cancer thrives in acidic conditions, it is also proven that Sugar, refined processes white beads and pastas, and most processed foods create an acidic environment in our bodies. It may not change the situation of a patient who already has cancer, but what could it hurt to try? This is a great preventative measures to take for anyone who has a history of cancer in their family or because they have already beaten cancer themselves. The drug companies that manufacture cancer medications, and the scientists that work for them, are going to "myth bust" this information because if it is truth than they could potentially lose out on money. I would rather be safe than sorry. Maybe you should try using some critical thinking skills and read up on this issue from all stand points negative and positive before you draw any conclusions.

Acid and alkaline are chemical opposites. Whenever these bases interact with acids, there's a conflict between them and the result is too much salt in your system.

The “normal” range of saliva pH is between 7.3 and 7.4. Most people, on the other hand, are much too acidic with a pH that is much lower. They tend to be burned out, tired with a body starving for a balance again. Under the influence of acidic foods the muscles fatigue much more easily. You slow down because your body has trouble producing the same physical results as before.

The alkalizing foods are better for your health and help to balance the pH of your body. While acid, alkaline and pH are common terms, many people do not understand what they mean and what their collation with nutrition and health happens to be.

When you eat acidic foods the free radical oxidation occurs and causes your cells to die, making you age much faster. Your Vitamins and minerals don't absorbed as easily. The friendly bacteria in your small intestine die, and that puts the digestive system off balance and in a lot of stress. High levels of acidity inhibits the ability for intestinal walls to absorb nutrients. Cells become stressed out with all the toxins and cannot function properly.

Alkaline foods have a wide variety of benefits for your health. They improve your muscle output. They have antioxidant effects in your body and increase assimilation at the cellular level and allow cells to operate normally. There is also a reduction of parasites and yeast overgrowth with the intake of alkaline foods. They also promote a deeper and more restful sleep, youthful skin and relieve colds suffering, headaches and the flu.

Cancerous tissues are acidic, and healthy tissues are alkaline. Oxygen enters an acidic solution and combines with hydrogen ions and form water. Oxygen neutralizes the acid, but the acid prevents oxygen from reaching tissues where it is needed. When oxygen enters an alkaline solution, these two hydroxyl ions are combined to create one water molecule and one oxygen atom. The oxygen atom is able to go to the next cell and bring all the benefits of oxygen to the tissues of the body. At a pH slightly above 7.4, cancer cells become dormant, and a pH of 8.5 cancer cells die while healthy cells live.

Over stimulation of bodily tissues because acidic foods cause a lot of damage, and type II diabetes is just a symptom of an acidic lifestyle. Bringing the body back into balance, you must include alkalizing green vegetables, green drinks and the good fats back into your diet. The plant proteins from grains and legumes help restore the previous homeostasis in your body.

Alkalizing foods have a splendid tonic effect on your body. Neutralizing the acidity in your bloodstream; alkaline foods act as quite a relief to your system that's regenerating and restoring the damaged cells. Diets high in acidic foods make the body break down prematurely. By determining what foods have an alkalizing effect on your body you can incorporate them into our diet in larger healthful amounts. On the average, the pH level of human blood is between 7.35 and 7.45; levels. A level of 7 and above is considered alkaline.

Paying much needed attention to which minerals have alkalizing effects can add the proper balance to your blood pH. These minerals that have an alkalizing effect on the body are: cesium, potassium, sodium, calcium, and magnesium. If your diet consists mainly of processed foods and very few vegetables, you will definitely benefit from the change.

Yes, as the old saying goes, “you are what you eat” is most absolutely true. By controlling the amounts of alkaline and acidic food you eat, you are giving your body a fighting chance for survival, and may save your life.

Balancing your PH

In the morning take a half a glass of spring water.
Put in 3/4 tsp of baking soda (3 1/4)
Squeeze a half organic lemon and, as you stir, pour the juice in the water.
It will fizz. Drink on an empty stomach ....it will make you burp, this is what you want. (You will also notice that you will get less indigestion during the day. And this will be the gateway to not having to swallow any more anti acid drugs the doctors and 'big pharma' pushes.)

Say NO to 'Root Canal' with 'Oil Pulling' !

2014-09-11T16:02:00.001-07:00

The following started from a chat on my Face Book. The topic was about 'Oil Pulling' that was posted by Natural Cures Not Medicine ....a favorite of mine.....duh!

John Hager II A year ago my dentist told me I needed a root canal. Luckily I've always questioned authority, and live to tell the tale.

I went to the internet and found this - what follows - about 'pulling'! Today I am free of my 'problem'!

Funny, my dentist didn't remark about my teeth anymore. Funnier still, I don't need a dentist anymore. Like · Reply ....maybe a little cleaning some time I don't know, kinda attitude. No need.

Shawn - Is all you did was oil pull? With coconut oil? How many days a week did you pull? What else did you do besides oil to cleanse your teeth?

answer: My problem wasn't bad mind you, I didn't wait till the last minute to do something. (not that it wouldn't work then as well) I think, for me, it all started with smoking (tobacco) for most of my adult life. That was the first to go. I used to brush with the 'surgery shit' in the morning and baking soda in the evening. My parents started me on baking soda since I was born it seems. Gee man, I didn't have any candy until I was maybe 10yrs, hell I don't know. It was on Easter, though. We still joke about it. "Mommy, bunny 'tanny'!

So I was never a big sugar eater or anything with it on kinda guy. Now I use nothing else but baking soda, and rinse with apple cider vinegar. (1/3 water to whatever size container you use) I may smell like a salad, laugh go ahead, but I still have my teeth at age 59!

The same year I got the 'call' .... I got a water pic, and put a third or so of vinegar in that with warm water. Used that morning and night. I even brush my teeth in the shower and have been seen doing it in the car (just with water) ....after I eat lunch. Oil Pulling in the morning during my walk is like the 'icing on the cake' for me. The dentist said he saw some little improvement before I pulled, but when I started that ......BADABING!

Hope this helps Shawn. Anything is better than the doctor'$ bull squeeze. Happy to turn you on, friend. ;)

Concerning Coconut Oil

For my 'pulling' I use olive oil only because of the expense. I can't see spitting out oil that cost me around $20.00 a bottle, liquid or not. Same as hemp oil, another oil I use. And yes I do keep it in my mouth for twenty minutes and treat it like a mouth wash. My morning walk takes about twenty minutes. My walk is a leisurely one, nothing that I would need to breath through my mouth during. Not as leisurely as stopping to talk to anybody on the way. I couldn't do that either. So you wouldn't want to jog, run or do any of that strenuous stuff to put you out of breath.

When I get home I simply brush my teeth the way I would normally. I brush my teeth after every meal, not that I use baking soda and swish with vinegar every time. I'll just use water.

Everything that I used to use butter with I now use coconut oil. And I do have a spoon full of it daily and let it rest in my mouth without cleaning it out. This may help but I am not sure. What I do know is I wont have to go through that dreaded surgery (any surgery, to me, is dreaded) called root canal, which I understand is very dangerous. Read further on the following links I've posted.
Best of luck to you all. And again, happy to have turned you on ~!

How to do oil pulling:

Put 1-2 teaspoons of oil into the mouth. I prefer to use 2 teaspoons of organic coconut oil or Olive Oil. I scoop it out as a solid and let it melt in my mouth before swishing (I don’t like the texture of solid coconut oil).

Swish for 20 minutes. Apparently the timing is key, according to Dr. Bruce Fife, author of Oil Pulling Therapy, as this is long enough to break through plaque and bacteria but not long enough that the body starts re-absorbing the toxins and bacteria. The oil will get thicker and milky as it mixed with saliva during this time and it should be creamy-white when spit out.

Spit oil into the trash can. Especially if you have a septic system like I do… don’t spit into the sink! Do not swallow the oil as it is hopefully full of bacteria, toxins and pus that are now not in the mouth!

Rinse well with warm water. Warm water seems to clean the mouth better (my opinion). I swish a few times with warm water to get any remaining oil out of my mouth.

Brush well. Make sure any remaining bacteria is out of your mouth.

Ukrainian Easter Egg Fun

2014-04-21T11:53:00.003-07:00

There has never been a time around my house that Mom wasn't working on a Ukrainian egg design. And we arn't even Ukrain. Friends and family members were always eager to stop by to see what Marlene was working on.

It wouldn't take them long to say, "Wow" when they did see what she has created. And soon after I would always hear, "well, how did you do that?"

Then some people would say, "oh I could never do that." "Oh I'm not talented." "I need a recipe for everything I cook." "Never created a thing in my life." Oh I wish, but I'm not an artist."

But everybody, and I mean everybody, who sat down and gave it a try, and gave themselves patients, would eventually say with a grin, "oh my, that does look nice. I had no Idea." Or if they were too shy to say anything, their expression on their face would say, " Hey, I'm proud of myself!"

I love that. That's why I always love it when Mom and I have our classes. When I bring them their finished egg in and I see their eyes light-up. That's a joy, being instrumental in someone's joy and self discovery. It's just like it was with me. I never thought I was 'artsy-fartsy' enough to do a Ukrainian Easter egg until recently. Yes, recently. Funny, all these years that my Mom has been creating these beautiful eggs and I haven't done one till now?

the egg

The egg is very important and starts here.

One will not be able to just go to the nearest grocery store and pick up a dozen eggs and start using them. They will not hold the ink or the dye. Not to add to any conspiracy theories but these eggs are processed in a certain way that leaves a film on the egg. But the yoke of these eggs (yellow yoke) are easiest to remove from the egg because of it's less density than organically farm raised eggs. (orange yoke)

I've experimented with using vinegar and water to wash them before using them. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. You're welcome to use or try other forms of washing the egg, but I've had little success with anything. (if you find something that works please let me know)
In rural Pennsylvania here we have a farm that sells eggs and other dairy products on every street corner, it seems. And the only thing they do to their eggs is to sand them to remove the small chunks of calcium deposits, and that is all.

And this goes for brown eggs as well. And yes you can also use brown eggs for your Ukrainian Easter eggs designs. They are unique and work just fine. Here are a few we've done, to give you an idea. The egg on the bottom is a brown egg.

And yes, you can use larger eggs as well, like duck, goose and ostrich eggs. We are working with these larger eggs now, as we speak, and I will post the eggs when we've completed them.

the tools

These are the few tools that we use in our classes.

A stylus, known as a pysachok, pysak, pysal'tse, or kystka (kistka), is used to adhere or write with the wax on to the egg. We offer two kinds here. The blue handled kiska, newer design, seems to hold more wax and distributes the wax more evenly on the egg.

Beeswax is used instead of regular candle wax. Candle wax usually have special scents and coloring added that disturb the natural processes of this art. Any wax that is free of these additives will work just fine. We use the candle to heat the stylus to melt the cube of beeswax. After a little puddle of wax is achieved, the stylus can be dipped into it to hold a portioned of melted wax ready to be written on to the egg.

We've added rubber-bands to the list of tools. We use them as guides. I've tied a knot to one end so it will fit smaller eggs. Without the knot the rubber-bands fit nicely over larger eggs.

the dyes

We purchaced our dyes from Amazon. I will list the links for you here. They have lasted for many years. Sometimes we do make our own from naturally dried plants, roots, bark, berries and insects. Yellow was obtained from the flowers of the woadwaxen, and gold from onion skins. Red could be extracted from logwood or cochineal, and dark green and violet from the husks of sunflower seeds and the berries and bark of the elderberry bush. Black dye was made from walnut husks. Experiment. There are many new ways to produce dyes.

the process

Pysanky is made using a wax resist method. Beeswax was heated in a small bowl on the large family stove, and the styluses were dipped into it. The molten wax was applied to the white egg with a writing motion; any bit of shell covered with wax would be sealed, and remain white. Then the egg was dyed yellow, and more wax applied, and then orange, red, purple, black. (The dye sequence is always light to dark). Whatever is covered with wax will remain that color. After the final color, usually red, brown or black, the wax was removed by heating the egg in the stove (10 minutes at 200 degrees) and gently wiping off the melted wax. Another method is to briefly dip the egg into boiling water. (I've never used this method)

the history

The art of the decorated egg in Ukraine, or the pysanka, probably dates back to ancient times. No actual ancient examples exist, as eggshells are fragile. In pre-Christian times, Dazhboh was one of the main deities in the Slavic pantheon; birds were the sun god's chosen creations, for they were the only ones who could get near him. Humans could not catch the birds, but they did manage to obtain the eggs the birds laid. Thus, the eggs were magical objects, a source of life. The egg was also honored during rite-of-Spring festivals––it represented the rebirth of the earth. The long, hard winter was over; the earth burst forth and was reborn just as the egg miraculously burst forth with life. The egg, therefore, was believed to have special powers.

With the advent of Christianity, via a process of religious syncretism, the symbolism of the egg was changed to represent, not nature's rebirth, but the rebirth of man. Christians embraced the egg symbol and likened it to the tomb from which Christ rose. With the acceptance of Christianity in 988, the decorated pysanka, in time, was adapted to play an important role in Ukrainian rituals of the new religion. Many symbols of the old sun worship survived and were adapted to represent Easter and Christ's Resurrection.

In modern times, the art of the pysanka was carried abroad by Ukrainian emigrants to North and South America, where the custom took hold, and concurrently banished in Ukraine by the Soviet regime (as a religious practice), where it was nearly forgotten. Museum collections were destroyed both by war and by Soviet cadres. Since Ukrainian Independence in 1991, there has been a rebirth of the art in its homeland.

The oldest "real" pysanka was excavated in L'viv in 2013, and was found in a rainwater collection system that dates to the 15th or 16th century. The pysanka was written on a goose egg, which was discovered largely intact, and the design is that of a wave pattern. The second oldest known pysanka was excavated in Baturyn in 2008, and dates to the end of the 17th century.

Dear Mr. Rothschild,

2014-04-01T11:40:00.001-07:00

Sorry for the poster here, nothing personal, just using it to set the tone of this blog page. And this poster, I came across on Facebook, was what gave me the inspiration to write you. Your family net-worth is what stuck-out.

And I was going to send Bill Gates this letter/blog but I figure you could pass it on to him at your next meeting. Because after you-guys hear about this blog and the idea I have, you'll want to have a meeting. I mean, it's your World too!

The Golden Rule has always been my creed to live by. I figure it's the bases of any religion, or non-religious institutions, groups or businesses, or it should be. But as I have always treated others as I would want to be treated, there is a side-effect. I look at others and think, "what would I do In their situation." ....and I certainly wouldn't like to see my picture on a poster like this on Facebook.

My comment on the Facebook post was, 'these people could end World hunger and World pollution with a stroke of a pen.'

Granted, it would take several years or more to actually see results, but the initial stroke of your pen would get it all started. And it wouldn't take a lot of your money or a lot of your time. It will however, and this is your side-effect, it will change the way people look at you. People will always hate you for your money, but this way they will see something different on Facebook. Like the other millionaires who have given millions to charities.

World hunger can be eradicated. A price has been set and estimated by the United Nations to solve this crisis of food shortage by focusing on agricultural development.
The cost to end world hunger is $30 billion a year. It may seem like a large sum of money, but when compared to the funds that the U.S. spends on defense - $737 billion in 2012, $30 billion seems more attainable. The $30 billion expense is manageable, especially when the U.S. would be joined by other investors in global poverty, but it has the capacity to be the leader.

Cost to End World HungerThe cost to end world hunger is $30 billion per year, and it can be achieved mainly through agricultural development.

More money will probably be needed for the worlds pollution. China alone will need to spend nearly 5 trillion yuan, or $817 billion, to fight air pollution, according to Fang Li, spokesman of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Environmental Protection. Fang’s startling estimate came on Sept. 23 as he released the Chinese capital’s antipollution blueprint, which promises significant improvements in air quality by 2017.

Beijing alone will have to fork out $163 billion to clear its skies, according to Fang. The Chinese capital has for many years suffered from serious air pollution, but the smog reached record levels last winter when choking haze engulfed the city for weeks. Forced into action by the ensuing public outrage, the government is now unveiling its clean-air strategy as another undoubtedly toxic winter looms.

China Needs $817 Billion to Fight Air Pollution, Official Says | TIME.comChina will need to spend nearly 5 trillion yuan, or $817 billion, to fight air pollution, according to Fang Li, spokesman of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Environmental Protection. Fang’s startling estimate came on Sept.

Others that have given million$

Centre College in Kentucky declared in July that it had received a $250 million donation from its former trustee chair, Houston entrepreneur Robert Brockman, via a trust created by his father, it garnered national headlines. As one of the largest-ever gifts to higher education, it would almost double the tiny school’s endowment.

Bill and Melinda Gates and Warren Buffett, the founders of the Giving Pledge, who took the top two spots. Each put almost $2 billion toward philanthropic work in 2012–the year’s only ten-digit givers–with Gates edging Buffett by a mere $35 million. While it doesn’t count in our rankings, our list also attempts to estimate lifetime giving, with the Gateses and Buffett both giving away at least $25 billion apiece through the end of last year.

Calgary’s lottery philanthropist has been busy giving away the $40 million he won last year on the Lotto Max. Tom Crist, the retired head of an electronics company, has donated $1.2 million to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre where his wife, Janice, was treated before her death and has given more money to cancer sufferers.

He revealed his illness in July and spoke of his desire to spent his 'Simpsons millions' before he dies. He is spending his final months funding projects that feed homeless people and save animals from being k#lled in animal shelters as well.

Harry Potter writer J.K. Rowling is off the Forbes annual list of billionaires list because she gave too much of her money away. The author has been an outspoken proponent of charity, likely due that she once was a single mother on welfare, herself. She has given plenty to single-parent charities, and started her own called Lumos to help disadvantaged children in Eastern Europe.

Keanu Reeves Gives Matrix Earnings of $35 Million To Special Effects Team

Despite having led a pretty hard life filled with a lot of tragedy, he’s managed to not only be one of the most giving celebrities of all time, but also a man of good character. One of his famous sayings is that we should “be excellent to each other”. Leading by example, Keanu Reeves gave away all his earnings from The Matrix.

The 49-year-old actor earned $35 million from the movie. Being the generous star, he reportedly showered it to the special effects and costume team who he thinks are the unsung heroes of the film. The crew was estimated to have received $2.7 million each.

“Money is the last thing I think about. I could live on what I have already made for the next few centuries” he said. He added, “They were the ones that made the movie and they should participate.”

Keanu has also done the same philanthropic acts in the past. He donated millions to cancer research as his sister has suffered a 10-year battle with leukemia. During the shooting of his film in Australia, he also gave the stuntmen team a $9,500 Harley Davidson motorcycle each. It was reported that he took paycuts on the Devil’s Advocate and The Replacements just to work with Al Pacino and Gene Hackman.

Keanu is known as an actor who is not after money in doing films.

Already there, there !

An American tourist complimented the Mexican fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took him to catch them.

"Not very long," answered the Mexican.

"But then, why didn't you stay out longer and catch more?" asked the American.

The Mexican explained that his small catch was sufficient to meet his needs and those of his family.

The American asked, "But what do you do with the rest of your time?"

"I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, and take a siesta with my wife. In the evenings, I go into the village to see my friends, have a few drinks, play the guitar, and sing a few songs. I have a full wonderful life, amigo"

The American interrupted, "I have an MBA from Harvard and I can help you! You should start by fishing longer every day. You can then sell the extra fish you catch. With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat."

"And after that?" asked the Mexican.

"With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you can buy a second one and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers. Instead of selling your fish to a middle man, you can then negotiate directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant. You can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City, Los Angeles, or even New York City! From there you can direct your new huge, enterprise."

"How long would that take?" asked the Mexican.

"Twenty, perhaps twenty-five years," replied the American.

"And after that, amigo?"

"Afterwards? Well my friend, that's when it gets really interesting," answered the American, laughing. "When your business gets really big, you can start buying and selling stocks and make millions!"

"Millions? Really? And after that?" asked the Mexican.

"After that you'll be able to retire, live in a tiny village near the coast, sleep late, play with your children, catch a few fish, take a siesta with your wife and spend your evenings drinking and enjoying your friends and relatives."

"But amigo ....."

And the moral of this story is: Know where you're going in life ... You may already be there.

Well, this one sure looks tastier and sweeter than the others she's worn, but they all look like they were made, or at least thought of, by a pastry chef. Or a wanna be. Or a person who has more of a sweet tooth and sugar taste rather than any determinable good fashion taste or sense.

This fashion statement appears that the designer couldn't get far enough away from the orange sorbet to complete their garment for her majesty. And, considering the Queen's conservatism, it is very surprising she put the 'thing' on, or got even close to doing it. It's a wonder her royal blood didn't boil after being exposed to it. Or a wonder her monarch skin didn't crawl away when it touched it. Or that her dead aristocracy didn't get out of their graves to protest, when they got word of the likes of it on their precious Elizabeth.

Maybe the Queen just wants to appear more liberal to the people this way. If you have a dress that looks more palatable, possibly her following will show a liking and like her and continue to follow suit, and to continue to like paying taxes. And to continue to like her and her family so they can keep their jobs. And yes, to keep liking her so she can continue with these tasty delectable outfits that turn the people on. Or makes their mouth water.

"The way to the people is through their stomachs, and/or taste-buds?"

Come to think of it, this could be the steps the Queen is taking to go green, and help diminish England's carbon footprint on the World. Since she only wears her outfits once, and she donates it to hang somewhere for ever; if it was edible it would be more of use. She could donate her garments to the poor so they could eat them. And the Queen wouldn't have to spend any more of the taxpayers money to have the dress / dessert washed before hand. Her royal smells would spice and flavor their meal and add to their 'chowing down' experience.

Instead of saying, "let them eat cake," she could now just say, "let them eat my dress."

Just think of all the mouths the Queen could feed with her extravaganza of editable clothes. No, it's mutton, no it's one of the Queens dresses she wore during the Olympics. There's no telling where this could lead to. It may even spread over the 'pond' to the states. All kinds of government people could follow the Queens healthful steps in the right direction. Most of them only wear their cloths once anyway. Instead of wasting them, turn them into food. And here's the best part that any 'big gov-er' will love to hear about this idea. They are sure to change their ways. They don't have to stop their war mongering around the Planet, just buy more cloths from the Queen's pastry chef recipe. Finally the poor will be fed. Imagine that.

Fetuses Masturbate !

2013-12-25T16:29:00.003-08:00

"Fetuses masturbate? yea right!" Just when I thought it was safe to go on to another subject, after completing my very controversial blog 'Fireworks with Yourself' - I get a Christmas gift that tells me, "hold on there space monkey. Here's somethin else right down your line. You'll be known as 'Doctor Jerk-off" for sure after this."

And it is a book gift, which are my main gifts for the year. And my yearly gifts I receive are mostly books. They must be getting the idea I like books. Good. I do, and especially the unusual type books. And I'm talkin real books here, made out of wood, not plastic, '100 Things You're Not Supposed to know,' by Russ Kick. A wonderful compilation of 100 unique facts unknown to most people.Thank you Russ Kick, most of them blew me away, if I can use that vibrator, I mean vernacular. (Amazon below)

So naturally if ya have twins they'll do it together, but when they do that together after their born that means the kids would need to be 're-born' or worse 'exorcism' or worse even 'Father kills you in a rage'! But if life was better to you, or you it, and you got through all that and continue to masturbate, good for you two. 'Jerk-off be happy - Jerk-off be healthy' is my motto. Hey and just happen to think; they could pin 'incest' on those kids quite easily these days.

Oh and found another one, #51 Men have clitorises' which I'll have to get back to and find out where.
Come to think of it I think I ......

FETUSES MASTURBATE
In 1996, two ob-gyns in Itally published a letter in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecologyl. The heart of the matter was:

-We recently observed a female fetus a 32 weeks gestation touching the vulva with the fingers of the right hand. The caressing movements were centered primarily on the region of the clitoris. Movements stopped after 30 to 40 seconds and started again after a few minutes. Furthermore, these slight touches were repeated and were associated with shore, rapid movements of pelvis and legs. After another break, in addition to this behavior, the fetus contracted the muscles of the trunk and limbs, and then clonicotonic movements[ie, prolonged spasms] of the whole body followed, Finally, she relaxed and rested.

I Remember Christmas

2013-11-26T06:58:00.003-08:00

I remember a time when Christmas was more of a feeling than a grand-finally of commercialism. A spiritual time of reflection, meditation, prayer, alone or group, no matter what religion you were or if you had any - instead of trying to aggressively get to a particular store before the other person does. The deal, the savings, the sale, the black Friday stampede for price replaced love, respect, moral character, and The Golden Rule. The things Christmas was, and started out to be, made of.

I remember a Christmas that was an abundance of love and affection for family and all of humanity, instead of the abundance of wrapped packages bought at the mall on ‘layaway’ to put under the tree. Giving from the wallet or purse is nothing compared to giving from the heart. Your heart gift won't wear out or won't need new batteries and a movie star has nothing to do with it. The heart gift will last for a lifetime, and then some. And heart gifts have no size or color restrictions, and no, they can’t be returned. They can, however, be replaced with another gift from the heart.

"Behold I do not give lectures or a little charity, When I give I give myself." -Walt Whitman

I remember a Christmas when I didn’t feel half afraid to even say “Merry Christmas” to somebody I see or meet or run into at this time of year. Now I remember to just play it cool and say, “Happy Holidays” instead. But uh, between you and me, I’m sorry, I must admit, not to offend, there are times that I’m just too darn happily stoned with the Christmas spirit that I will let many a “Merry Christmas” fly from my mouth.

I remember a Christmas that was more like a 'Charles Dickens Christmas' instead of a 'Home Alone Christmas' where a family was so caught up in the holiday frenzy they forgot their child. Imagine, if you would, the ironic poetic justice of this: parents being so tied up in the buying of gifts that they misplace the child that they are buying the gifts for. In his book, 'A Christmas Carol' Dickens paints a similar ironic justice with his bewreathed Ghost of Christmas Present, who is the character that comes closest to Santa Clause. When Scrooge opens the door to his living room, he finds those quarters were transformed into a veritable Yule forest bedecked for the holidays with a raging fire in his normally meager hearth and a jolly ghost seated atop a throne-like assemblage of gifts, roasted game and turkeys, geese and sucklings, puddings, pies, and cakes. But underneath his white fur-trimmed green robe the ghost reveals the wretched sight of a shivering boy and girl huddled there "yellow, meager, ragged, scowling wolfish ... Where angels might have sat enthroned, devils lurked, and glared out menacing." In response to Scrooge's stunned wonderment as to where these two have come from, the spirit tells him, "They are Mans .... This boy is Ignorance. This Girl is Want. Beware them both, and all of their degree."

I remember a Christmas when I didn't feel guilty for not buying a gift for somebody. Like there's a 'Big Santa Police' camera lurking somewhere eye-ing to make sure I buy and consume like the rest of the sheeple, I mean people. And not to be responsible for my actions and just be in a spend spend spend mode on a credit card because 'tis the season' to do such crazy things - instead of being more responsible for my actions to myself, our-self, our family, and our beloved planet home.

BLACK FRIDAY VIOLENCE BEGINS:

BLACK FRIDAY VIOLENCE BEGINS: Police are reporting violence from people pushing and shoving their way to what they see as the holiday’s best deals on Black Friday, a retail holiday that’s become synonymous with brawls. A man was shot in Romeoville, Illinois when he dragged an officer with his car after his alleged shoplifting scheme was foiled at a suburban Kohl’s. In Rialto, California, a police officer was injured breaking up one of three fights at a Wal-mart which occurred after a manager decided to open the doors early. Meanwhile in Las Vegas, a thief shot another man in the leg before making off with the victim’s newly purchased big screen T.V.

Awesome Pumpkin Carvings (by artist Ray Villafane)

2013-10-16T10:14:00.003-07:00

These pumpkin carvings are the most awesome pieces of art I have ever seen. Ray Villafane you certainly blew me away, thank you.

This super artist started carving pumpkins for his art students in Michigan, but had no idea that it would change his life. His pumpkin carvings, because of how well done they are, went viral and now he has a huge online following.

Who would think that a pumpkin would be the cause of an artists epiphany. His awesome pumpkin carvings have unlocked his genuine love for sculpting, and probably changed the face of Halloween pumpkins in his home town, and across the nation.

These photographs are the carvings that he has done in the past five years:

Drafting Guys Over 60

2013-10-07T16:16:00.000-07:00

I am over 60 and the Armed Forces thinks I'm too old to track down terrorists. You can't be older than 42 to join the military. They've got the whole thing ass-backwards.

Instead of sending 18-year olds off to fight, they ought to take us old guys. You shouldn't be able to join a military unit until you're at least 35.

For starters, researchers say 18-year-olds think about sex every 10 seconds. Old guys only think about sex a couple of times a month, leaving us more than 280,000 additional seconds per day to concentrate on the enemy.

Young guys haven't lived long enough to be cranky, and a cranky soldier is a dangerous soldier. 'My back hurts! I can't sleep, I'm tired and hungry.' We are bad-tempered and impatient, and maybe letting us kill some asshole that desperately deserves it will make us feel better and shut us up for a while..

An 18-year-old doesn't even like to get up before 10am. Old guys always get up early to pee, so what the hell. Besides, like I said, I'm tired and can't sleep and since I'm already up, I may as well be up killing some fanatical son-of-a-bitch.

If captured we couldn't spill the beans because we'd forget where we put them. In fact, name, rank, and serial number would be a real brainteaser.

Boot camp would be easier for old guys.. We're used to getting screamed and yelled at and we're used to soft food. We've also developed an appreciation for guns. We've been using them for years as an excuse to get out of the house, away from the screaming and yelling.

They could lighten up on the obstacle course however... I've been in combat and never saw a single 20-foot wall with rope hanging over the side, nor did I ever do any pushups after completing basic training.

Actually, the running part is kind of a waste of energy, too... I've never seen anyone outrun a bullet.

An 18-year-old has the whole world ahead of him. He's still learning to shave, to start a conversation with a pretty girl. He still hasn't figured out that a baseball cap has a brim to shade his eyes, not the back of his head.

These are all great reasons to keep our kids at home to learn a little more about life before sending them off into harm's way.

Let us old guys track down those terrorists. The last thing an enemy would want to see is a couple million pissed off
old farts with bad attitudes and automatic weapons, who know that their best years are already behind them. And anyway, it's a hellava lot better than sittin in a fuckin nursing home for the rest of my life.

HEY!! How about recruiting Women over 50...in menopause!!! You think MEN have attitudes ....whoa buddy??

Better yet, if nothing else, put them on border patrol. They'll have it secured in less than 2 days!

Time for a Woman President !

2013-09-30T13:06:00.001-07:00

Hey gals, ya think it's time for a Woman president of this here USA? I say 'gals' because my facebook 'rings off the hook' with women going 'ga ga' after a post about the 'Hildabeast' - I mean Hillery - running for office. (gives me chills)

"It's about time we get the job done." "We can run the home and balance a checkbook, we can do this job." "It aint harder than raising a family." There were a few guys that commented, "I voted for her the first time around and I'll gladly vote for her again," but most of the guys just played it safe and clicked 'LIKE' and scrolled on. My comment was, "don't you think our Country is 'dumbed down' enough, jeez babes. You want more of the same business, only in different clothing? Do you think a women is immune to bad decisions? Look at all of Hillery's bad decisions. Now, you want more of her drama, on top of everything else going on, in our precious White House!" .... there were no reply's after my comment. And no surprise.

I was under the impression that women out there would vote for a candidate in a dress whoever was wearing it. (can you picture Rand Paul and Gary Johnson in drag) (can a Scotsman count as a candidate)

I should hope people learned from last election not to vote for something that is only skin deep, and instead look at the real identity of the person they are putting there one precious vote for. If you don't know who the hell the person is and wonder how they got so far without any identity, don't be a sheeple and vote for the puppet. For pity sake, have more respect for your Country.

Well, if it must be a woman for ya then let me introduce Jill Stein. And this really turned me on about her. She was arrested for walking onto the campus where the Commission on Presidential Debate was hosting the 2012 debates. As she puts it, she was locked up for threatening to disrupt “the incredibly boring experience of Obama and Romney agreeing with each other.” I didn't hear that from the Obama media. No surprise.

“We could actually have it all. There is a system that works, and it starts with democracy and respecting our civil liberties.” -Jill Stein

Looking through her cabinet members at http://greenshadowcabinet.us/members I was pleasantly surprised to find Patch Adams as her Assistant Secretary of Health for Holistic Health .... cool ~! ..... and I didn't see a Drug Czar anywhere .... awwwwwwwww.

Just happen to think here: we weren't, and still aren't, able to get this kind of 'bio' for the president we have in our Oval Office now. I say, "we don't know 'Jack Shit' about him" and he's running, or trying to, our lives!

Jill Stein has my vote, but don't tell Rand Paul, even if he is still in drag.

Vote for one, get one free !

And here's a bonus for you ladies. If you (we) make Jill 'President Jill Stein' there is super bonus waiting behind the curtain. Jill Stein's running mate is also allowed to wear dresses and other womanly gear in public places. Her name is Cheri Honkala, and what a woman she is. I must tell you about her first:

from http://greenshadowcabinet.us/member-profile/8581

Cheri Honkala was born into poverty in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She grew up watching her mother suffer from domestic violence that she quietly endured for fear of losing her kids. At the age of 17 her 19 year old brother Mark, who suffered from mental health issues committed suicide. He was uninsured and could not afford to get the help he needed. At the time of Mark's suicide Cheri was a teenage mother living out of her car and going to high school. Despite her difficult upbringing she graduated high school.

Cheri and her son Mark (named after her brother) lived in and out of places eventually becoming homeless after the car they had been living in at the time was demolished by a drunk driver. Mark was 9 years old and Cheri could not find a shelter that would allow them to remain together that winter so in order to keep from freezing Cheri decided to move into an abandoned HUD home. She then began working to help other poor families and became a pioneer in the modern housing takeover movement. For the past 25 years Cheri Honkala has been a leading advocate for poor and homeless in America. She co-founded the Kensington Welfare Rights Union and the Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign. She has organized tens of thousands holding marches, demonstrations and setting up tent cities.

Fireworks with Yourself (MASTURBATION)

2013-09-24T16:19:00.002-07:00

Why of course it's good and healthy to fook yourself !

First it must be said that having a fulfilling relationship with another person is ideal, but if that situation isn't available at the moment, or if the present relationship needs something extra, then pleasuring yourself and making your own 'fireworks' is the most natural solution.

Well, there is one "'m' word" that is still in the closet. The other that I know, Marijuana, is out and about making it's rounds helping society. The 'M' word that is still in there hiding and remains a taboo is .... "pssss....over here by hydroponics, quiet, bring your ear here .... masturbation," I whispered. I blushed.

It should have been out of the closet long before marijuana has, but that just goes to show you how truly sick we as a people are. If we were open about masturbation and marijuana long ago, there would be no more wars and there would be more healthy and happy people today, and there wouldn't be such a population explosion as there is. As you'll see, a lot of the ailments cannabis eases, masturbation does the same. And the ones that don't, you can always mix the two without any interaction side-effects, at least the side-effects that are not enjoyable and beneficial! CAUTION you just may well start to feel good, 'big brother' forbid!

If 'Paula Palm' is no stranger to ya dude (do the girls have 'Fred Finger'?) you can be proud to say, "I'm a 'jerk-off." Paula's been a great gal even when the other's turned out to be a poor choice of partners. She'll always be there to lend you a hand and administer the goodness for you. And if she tires she just lets her sister, Pam, continue. There's no need to worry where the Palm sisters have been, if they are in a good mood or any other made-up drama, they do it perfectly every time, right on the money. And why wouldn't they, they are you. They truly love you man, unconditionally, and want you to feel good and have the best orgasm of your life. The Palm sisters, or the Finger brothers, want you to be happy and healthy and love life and it's pleasures, and to love yourself. Because if you can't love yourself, and masturbate, you can't truly know and understand how others like to be loved and treated.

I wish doctors would say to a patient, instead of dealing them drugs, "Oh you don't have to come in today to see me. Save your money, stay home. What you do is put on some sexy music and make a nice hot bath. Use some bath beads that make your skin slick like and have some weed or some wine or both. Then I want you to pleasure yourself like you've never done it before, because that's what you really need. You don't need drugs, you need to love yourself more, that is all. Then call me in the morning if you really need to. But if you don't call me I now that it did the trick."

"If you are not your own doctor, you are a fool." -Hippocrates

(from the article linked below)

Studies indicate that women who masturbate regularly have better chances of leading satisfying sex lives. Research reports also indicate that women who masturbated regularly had better health and also better marriages. Masturbation also made them aware about their own sexual needs and offered them a way of exploring their sexuality. Women experienced an increase in self confidence through masturbation. Masturbation is definitely a very important part of anybody's life. Suffice to say, it's a great stress buster and makes for a happier life.
A study for men performed at Tabriz Medical University in 2008 claims that ejaculating can help to reduce swelling in the nose, ease congestion and improve nasal breathing. Apparently, the act of ejaculation allows for the stimulation of the sympathetic nervous system and has lasting effects. Masturbation can benefit cardiovascular health. It can be beneficial in improving the flow of blood throughout the body, thus lowering blood pressure and regulating breathing. Masturbation is good for the prostate. Frequent ejaculation can reduce the risk of developing prostate cancer. This is because the prostate gland becomes filled with fluid that makes up semen. This fluid is known for housing any toxins and carcinogens that have settled in the prostate. The more this fluid is expelled, the less the chances are that cancer will develop in the prostate. Additionally, an Australian research study suggests that men between the ages of 20 and 50 who masturbated at least 5 times per week were 1/3 less likely to have prostate cancer.

LBN NEWS: SWEDEN: IT’S ‘OK’ TO MASTURBATE IN PUBLIC: Didn’t “target a specific person,” or just horrible aim? A Swedish man charged with sexual assault for masturbating on a beach in Stockholm was acquitted after a court ruled the act was not “directed towards one or more people.” The 65-year-old Swede in question was caught with his pants around his ankles, pleasuring himself near the water’s edge in June. Thanks to this monumental ruling, Swedes can pleasure themselves in public so long as they’re somewhat discreet about it. “With that we can conclude that it is okay to masturbate on the beach,” the prosecutor declared. But don’t get too carried away on the shores of Stockholm: “disorderly conduct” charges may still apply.
