• I have an idea for a website about beer, mostly just beer I drink, stupid Idea but I’ll probably end up doing it when I get a few extra bucks for another domain.
• I want a domains related to the words ‘robot’ ‘taco’ ‘pirate’ ‘poop’ ‘paz’ ‘mydogiscoolerthenyourdog’ ect ect
• I want a domain for my portfolio, but first I want a creative and hipster web trendy name for it, something witty and very conceited would probably be best, or something referencing a trend from the 80’s would also suffice
• I want to buy my family’s name as a domain, so that I can have my name as an email address, not sure why I haven’t done that one yet. Although most of the people who I’ve met that have done such a things john@qpublic.com or jane@smith.com always come across a bit pretentious when they tell you their killer email addresses

A fun game to play online is just type in whatever you can think of and add a .com to it. Great things can be found. (Note: http://www.whateveryoucanthinkof.com doesn’t seem to be taken yet, somebody should snatch that one up) One of my favorites I’ve found was www.sadrobots.com which was just a series of hand drawn sketches of sad robots, not it seems to have become a blog of some sort.

Everyone who says all the good domains are taken is wrong, you just have to start having fun and using your imagination. Do you own an interesting domain name? I’d love to hear about it in the comments. (Ohh How i think this is going to invite spam bots to tell me all about their poker sites….)

I am not saying that I was ever a very successful blogger or a profound blogger, but there was a time when I did enjoy working on this site quiet regularly. Now with all the other outputs for my thoughts and rantings, where does the blog fit into it. I’ve been working on that idea in my head and have not yet come up with a good solution. The main point of this blog has always been to experiment with new technologies mainly related to word press, however I’ve done some drupal testing and other environments on here as well.

I also have a tumblelog which I have never really found a use for yet the whole idea of tumbler is so intriguing to me. Over the last few years I’ve had it indexing all sorts of RSS feeds, from my flickr, to this blog, to my twitter, and it just gets messy and confusing as feeds overlap and everything is cross posting everywhere else. Yet as I stated previously I find tumblr to be a very cool concept. With all the different ways you can post, including the new addition of audio posts, its just neat. Still working on what to use that one for.

So back to where we started. Still trying to find a use for this little hole in the wall, I’ve never had many readers, if anyone is still even subscribed to this feed other than myself its probably Brandon, and he’s about as good at updating as I am. *hint hint nudge nudge delicious plugin abuser!*. Maybe I’ll actually start using it again, I’ve toyed with the idea of trying to do more blogging from a mobile platform either through my ipod touch or through my phone, as sometimes I cant sum up everything I want to say into 140 charecters.

I guess only time will tell, file this one with the other posts saying I am going to do something with this blog.

So now the story of why I should get lots of presents from you all for saving the day and helping St. Nick!

Now I just have to get motivated to put one up for myself and start making all the stuff I’ve been talking about making.

Have a better idea of what I want to put on there eventually, but lets just say dancing hot dogs rule!

I really feel like I should be doing something with this space, I’ve said that over and over, I’ve thought it to myself over and over.  I really do think that twitter is having a negative effect on me, as many other people have noted it doing the same to them,  I think in 140 charecters now, I blog in burst of text from my phone via SMS.  When i find a good link, I dont take the time to produce a whole write up about it, instead I post it to my delicious or I just throw it up on twitter for its little bit of fame before I change my status again. How do I fix this? Well I’m not sure on that one, force myself to do better I guess.

I’ve finished up version 2.0 of Greg’s site and its live.  Started work on another project with Mr. DK and still have coopertition.net on a back burner, working on an Etsy site for robyn as well as eventually most likely a website for her, there is the fife and drum page for TAFDC that I am supposed to be doing, and so on and so on, the projects keep coming, and as usual this site gets pushed farther and farther to the back of my mind.

I hate the layout again, and want to tear it all the way apart again. blah.
