It's "Fargo" meets "The Music Man"

(without the blood or the trombones)

The original Don't Hug Me is the first of the four Don't Hug Me musicals. The story takes place in a colorful, rustic north woods bar in tiny Bunyan Bay, Minnesota. It's the coldest day of the year and cantankerous bar owner Gunner Johnson wants to sell the business and move to sunny Florida. Clara, his wife and former Winter Carnival Bunyan Queen, wants to stay. Bernice Lundstrom, the pretty waitress, wants to pursue a singing career. Her fiancé, Kanute Gunderson, wants her to stay home. It's a battle of wills that tests their relationships and when a fast-talking salesman, Aarvid Gisselsen, promises to solve their problems and bring romance into their lives through the 'magic' of karaoke, all heck breaks loose!

Judith takes a turn on the other side of the curtain and serves as the Vocal Director for this production from the Western Reserve Playhouse.

I don't know about you, but I am so VERY tired of hearing the words "You'll never guess who has cancer." I want to make it go away - And to help do that I'm participating again this year in Relay For Life as part of the Hudson Players team.

I'm celebrating those who are fighting, I'm walking for those who can't anymore, and I'm fighting back against that dreaded disease that touches so many. And I am determined to make a difference!

I will be walking on June 8th, 2012 - I know that seems like a long time from now, but it'll be here before we know it! Come on and walk with me or help me with my goal: visit my personal web page to make a donation or join our team - and THANK YOU again for supporting my fight against cancer!

Living in a lonely manor house in 1906 England, Archibald Craven yearns for his beautiful, late wife. He blames his crippled son, Colin, for his wife’s death and has left him neglected and isolated. Their quiet routine is turned upside down when young Mary Lennox, a rich, spoiled child, is sent to live with them following the death of her parents by cholera in India. While living at the manor house, Mary discovers a secret walled garden hidden in the grounds and releases the magic and adventures locked inside, changing their lives forever.

Judith appears as "Lily Craven", the late wife of Archibald Craven.

The Luther Memorial Concert Series in Erie, Pennsylvania, presents Quire Cleveland, under the direction of artistic director Ross W. Duffinin its Bach Festival VI. In the program, “Lobet den Herrn: German Music for Quire,” the ensemble explores the rich heritage of German choral music, from sacred songs and polyphony by Renaissance masters including Martin Luther, to thrilling baroque works by Schütz, Pachelbel, and several members of the Bach family.

Quire Cleveland is the headliner of the upcoming Choir Festival presented by Medina High School, under the direction of MHS Music Teacher, Tyler Skidmore.

Artistic Director Ross W. Duffin has chosen favorites from the ensemble’s repertoire for their part of the program. Included are pieces by William Byrd, Henry Purcell, Johann Pachelbel, and Gustav Holst.

Meet Evelyn Scrooge and her chain-rattling partner Janet Marley in this charming take on A Christmas Carol. A haunted sweatshop in old New York brings out all the usual suspects with some unexpected twists. The foot-stomping ragtime score and witty script are a holiday treat for all ages!
The production features Adina Bloom as Evelyn Scrooge and Judith Overcash as Janet Marley.
There will be a Theater Preview 45 minutes prior to curtain in the Gallery at the Solon Center for the Arts, and a 'Meet the Artists' Reception will be held immediately following the performance.
