The Himalayan Educational Literacy Project (HELP) has a school in both Jhordi and Sangai village. HELP’s mission statement is “to plant multiplying churches to change lives for eternity, providing education and literacy meets a vital need and opens doors to church planting in the Garhwal Mountain area.” For the last eight years Manoj Daliya and the team of ten teachers have provided excellence in education to the village children who are now scoring far better than the children educated in government schools. Manoj envisioned this ministry rescuing “little lambs” out of the thorn bush of danger they were entangled in the Hindu religion. HELP has been fulfilling this vision by bringing the hope of Jesus Christ to the village children by daily sharing the love of God and the truth of the Bible. The HELP staff members are building relationships with the people of the villages through the children and the schools. They have started Sunday services in the Sangai village and the children are bringing their parents; as a result entire families are coming to know Jesus! We were privileged to spend time in both villages and were blessed to get to know Manoj, the teachers and have time with the children in the schools while in India.

The children of India are beautiful! I was amazed by their joy and gratitude for what they have even though the school buildings are concrete slab structures with no electricity or running water. The children are grateful because through the HELP program they have something many of the children of India do not have. Despite the wonderful ministry of HELP, due to poor nutrition the children’s health is suffering. I was taken aback by how small these children are- the 12 year olds look 6. They are malnourished and incredibly thin. On an average day, a child would consume the rough equivalent of two flour tortillas. The village schools are excited to soon start a lunch program including rice and lentils. They rarely eat fruits and vegetables even though farming is their source of livelihood. All the produce is sold rather than eaten. A piece of fruit would be a rare treat.

Prior to the trip, while studying the book of Matthew, I had been challenged to consider what I had that the Lord may want to use for practical purposes (from Mt 21 where the man gave his donkey to Jesus for his triumphal entry into Jerusalem). Interestingly, one week before going to India I also received a voice com from Michelle Waffe about the California Juice Plus reps who are sending JP to orphanages in Uganda and how greatly the children’s health is improving. The night before we visited the school we were given the same message from Mt 21 and asked, “What is your donkey? What do you have that you are willing to give that God may use practically for His purposes?” You know how it is when you receive the same message twice in a short period of time…. I really wanted to be listening and following God’s leading. The next day when we were at the schools and I observed the health and nutrition of the children I felt it was very clear that God was saying- you have a wonderful and simple solution that could help these children- fruits and vegetables in a chewable form!!! Juice Plus could be used to bring health and healing to these Indian children. When I shared the idea with the other adults we all agreed with excitement to pray and follow God’s lead. Upon returning I have had the opportunity to share with others who began to pray and expressed a desire to help. God further encouraged me last week when 19 boxes of JP chewables showed up on my doorstep! God seemed to be saying- now is the time- get busy! Amy Seefeldt, a former Whitefield Academy teacher and native of the Mussoorie area in India, will be returning to India in the end of June. She has been a part of Manoj’s ministry and will be able to assure that the chewables get to the children and teachers. So I ask you to join me in praying that God will supply the full amount of Juice Plus (a total of 90 boxes of chewables and 10 boxes of capsules) prior to her departure.

How you can help: Please join me in prayer that God will supply these children with JP and that they will know it is motivated from a love for Jesus and desire to serve them practically by supplying a need.

If you feel led to donate Juice Plus you can help by sponsoring one of the village children or teachers and enabling them to receive Juice Plus daily (17 fruits, vegetables and grains in a chewable tablet or capsule for adults- attached see one page description of Juice Plus) The price of a box of chewables is $96 and $176 for the capsules – all proceeds will pay go to pay for the product and shipping. If you prefer to pay monthly it can be put on a debit or credit card and would be $24.22/month for a child to receive the chewables and $44/month for an adult to receive the capsules. If you want to pay for the box in full you can either write a check to me (with Juice Plus India on the memo- and send to 4647 Dudley Ln., Atlanta Ga. 30327) or you can pay for a box with a credit or debit card. Call me if you are interested at 404-210-4601 or email me at juiceplusnurse@bellsouth.net.

Please email me back if you agree to pray and/or donate so I can put you on a group email list- I will keep everyone posted on where we are in reaching the goal! Thank you for reading this letter and prayerfully considering how you might be a part of “feeding His lambs” in India.

Sharon McClellan

Quick Study for Juice Plus

Juice Plus is 7 fruits, 8 vegetables, and 2 whole grains, picked when they are vine ripe, juiced, dehydrated, sugar removed and put in a capsule, chewable or gummie form. Vineyard is 9 berries with extracts added, including Ginger, Green Tea, and artichoke as well as Coenzyme Q10, and amino acids. Every batch is tested to be 100% pesticide, herbicide, yeast, bacteria and mold free. *see note at end

Juice Plus research was the kind of research that made sense to me: Gold Standard of research – independent, double blind, placebo controlled, clinical studies done in hospitals and universities all around the world. Research is published in peer reviewed medical journals. One of which is the top cardiology journal in the U.S. (Journal of American College of Cardiology JACC). The only way to get into a journal like this to be peer reviewed by their cardiology board and then they deem it significant to publish in their journal. It’s a very long process, but Juice Plus is published in that journal!

Independent, third-party clinical research shows that:
Juice Plus+® is packed with whole food nutrition.
Juice Plus+® helps enhance immune function, reduce DNA damage and improve circulation.
Juice Plus+® raises levels of antioxidants in the blood.
Juice Plus+® lowers levels of homocysteine and lipid peroxides (free radicals that cause aging and disease).

Will Juice Plus help my ____________? (arthritis, high blood pressure, etc). I don’t really know exactly what Juice Plus will do for your specific issue but what I do know is that better nutrition will help improve any disease. Our body has an amazing ability to heal itself if given a chance. Juice Plus provides outstanding nutritional support just as all of the research proves. So let’s give your body the best fuel we can!

Juice Plus is only $1.38 a day – that’s less than a cup of Starbuck’s coffee. Only $41.50 a month. It comes in a 4 month supply because it can take up 120 days for your cells to regenerate. The company has a generous preferred customer program and they only charge you by the month as you’re taking it. You can cancel or add to your order at any time; you are in complete control of the billing.

Juice Plus has been tested on children, teens, adults, senior citizens and even pregnant women, on a variety of conditions, in a variety of circumstances, at leading universities around the world: U of Arizona, Georgetown University, MD Anderson, Vanderbilt U, Brigham Young U, King's College London, U of Mississippi, University of Vienna, UCLA, U of Maryland, U of Sydney, Wake Forest University.

The Juice Plus+® Children’s Health Study continues to make a difference in the lives of children and their families across the globe. There are 70,000 children and 70,000 adults in 14 different countries taking part in the research. The goal is to have a cumulative 250,000 families enrolled in the study by 2010! We’re proving that a little extra focus on nutrition can make a big difference in the lives and future health of our children.

*Note: Juice Plus deals with American farmers that they have dealt with for 7 years or longer. They only choose produce that’s vine-ripened, then they juice and dehydrate it right near where it’s grown, in a low temperature, oxygen-free environment. Then they ship it to California to be put into capsules by a company that specializes in that. Each batch is done to Australia’s standards because they have the highest standards in the world and Juice Plus is now sold in 30 countries! (if Juice Plus were done at the US standard, it couldn’t be sold world-wide).

www.JPnurse.com – juiceplusnurse@bellsouth.net– 404-210-4601
