I did this piece for a show I was a part of during the summer. The character is a project that I’m working on. It’s a superhero team that is called The Renaissance and part of the concept is that you will only see a comic story from them in total art shows that I am in. That will be also the only way you’ll be able to get the comic. All of the characters wear suits or business like attire as their adventuring outfits with domino masks. Each slightly different than the other’s. There are only four members of this team. This character’s name is Carlita Brigante, she made her superhero name from the main character of the movie Carlito’s Way and she wears a out like a member of the geek squad on purpose. If she’s going to be a superhero then her costume is going to be that of geek and not some spandexed hottie. Catch me around and I might tell you more about her and the team.

So this is a piece I’ve been working on off & on for some months now while I do other things like change jobs, be in artomatic in DC, continue to draw Ants. I like this one so far hopefully I can get some more stuff done quicker.

I was one of the artist picked to be in this juries art competition. I was very honored to be included in great show along with these other artists and in this great art gallery in Washington DC.

Artisan Series, in conjunction with Bombay Sapphire Gin and Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation. This nationwide art competition aims to discover the next big names in both urban photography and multi-media arts, and to celebrate today’s diverse up-and-coming artists on a national stage. International Visions Gallery will host an exhibition of thirty top contestants from September 9 – October 2, 2010, with an opening reception on Saturday, September 11 from 6.30-9pm.

I was lucky also to have my piece sold during the show’s time up for display.
