My webcomic Ants got to 100 strips this week. I also started a podcast this week on my blog site, Ignorant Bliss.

The program is segmented with a panel discussion, industry insider interviews, a parody newscast and features on cool comic and science fiction related toys and games.

And here is me on Comic Book Roadshow with Lorrie Thomas & Darrell Taylor where the guest is Adam Warrock and we talk about his album The War for Infinity and a bunch of other topics.

I was one of the artist picked to be in this juries art competition. I was very honored to be included in great show along with these other artists and in this great art gallery in Washington DC.

Artisan Series, in conjunction with Bombay Sapphire Gin and Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation. This nationwide art competition aims to discover the next big names in both urban photography and multi-media arts, and to celebrate today’s diverse up-and-coming artists on a national stage. International Visions Gallery will host an exhibition of thirty top contestants from September 9 – October 2, 2010, with an opening reception on Saturday, September 11 from 6.30-9pm.

I was lucky also to have my piece sold during the show’s time up for display.

This is the illustration that I have in the current issue of Kill Screen magazine. It’s a great new print magazine that focuses on in depth articles on gaming and gaming culture. I’m very happy to be included in this #1 issue.

Here are two inks of pieces I am working on. I haven’t really shown much of art that I’m doing in a long while other than Ants. So first up is one I’ve had on the back burner for awhile. The costume design is based entirely off of the Cobra Kai dojo students’ halloween costumes from the original Karate Kid. For me that is the best scene in that whole film. The look is iconic.

The second has wink for the late King of Pop and when finished another pop song reference when I add in my usual typography and layout.

I’ve been doing sketches of the cast from the great 90s teen mutant comic Generation X. I’m working my way through each one. I plan on doing Jubilee last since she is my favorite mutant. My friend JC said I should add in the original Blink too. That might happen.

I have 4 pages in this issue of Heavy Metal it came last week. I’m the Artist Spotlight and I have the back cover.
