Jeremy and I have been eating a whole foods diet for a few months now, and I was fortunate to find a farmer relatively close to my house where I can go to find fresh, raw milk. Occasionally she also has fresh eggs for sale as well, and I picked up some yesterday on my milk run. I love how these eggs are so naturally pretty - pale blues and greens. Love it.

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing Ben and Melanie for their engagement shoot (and my first engagement shoot of the year!). We started off on a drizzly January day at Overlook Park in North Portland and then moved down to the Eastside Esplanade to walk along the river. When Sarah approached me about a doing a portrait session during her pregnancy, she said that she definitely didn't want a "maternity" shoot, so instead we opted for a simple portrait session with her husband on a late fall day on Sauvie Island. We had to wait a bit for the light to get just right as it grew chillier, but I think it was worth it for those ten minutes or so!

Photographing Kylie's senior portrait session was so much fun - her and her mom Tracy brought such fantastic energy to the shoot and couldn't help busting out in fits of giggles on many occasions. It was the perfect, gorgeous autumn day to be shooting in downtown Portland, too!

I was so thrilled to be a part of Heidi and David's wedding on Middle Bass Island in Ohio. Not as photographer...but bridesmaid! It was pretty fun to be part of a wedding again and experience it not behind the lens. Saturday I met up with Jon and Liz, who are getting married at the end of August. Jeremy and I went to San Francisco last week to catch the Game Developer's Conference. We did a lot of walking around - Monday and Tuesday I pretty much had the days to myself, so I ended up wandering around Golden Gate park and up to the Golden Gate bridge and taking a few pictures.
