Thinking about interstitial spaces and the meaning therein.

So in German there is this word “Ohrwurm” which literally translates to “ear worm” but it is the word for a song that gets stuck in your head. You know… the one you can’t stop humming as you’re walking down the street? Or the one that tortures you, keeping you awake?

Well, “Augenwurm” is the equivalent for the eyes, I guess.

Fernweh is a German word that can be translated as “farsickness” or more poetically “an ache for the distance.” Like homesickness only in reverse. A desire to go. A desire to travel.

Today, a complete change of pace! I have been struck with a case of spring fever due to the recent 50-60 degree weather in NYC! I just want to go stand in the sunshine and walk in the park and run with the doggie. Thus, this comic came out despite all my attempts to ink the page of Angel I have penciled.

The sunshine is so joyous!

I’ve been having so much fun doodling lately! Per Liz Baillie’s suggestion I’m going to try to make some trading card sized prints of these to sell in little packs at shows. Some of them will be more rare than others! So look for these to be coming soon.
