Big changes in Jumi land! Hueh? Is Jumi going to leave? Nope, but Jumi will continue writing in Dutch instead of English. Whyyyy?? Well, maybe you've noticed that Jumi writes about a lot of things that just takes place in her own country, so a lot of Dutch news. That's a big reason for the change of language. Sowwie English speaking Jumi readers....

Besides that, Big bro and little sister Vivi decided to become co-writers for Jumi's blog. It was easier for them to write in Dutch instead of English.

Jumi on tour: H&M flagship store, The Hague

When there's an event and rain, there's Jumi! This time Jumi went to the opening of the H&M flagship store, The Hague. OK, what's so special about it? The new H&M opened in a beautiful historical building of Maison de Bonneterie. And it's big! So Jumi had to take a peek inside.

The new store would open at 10 am, so Jumi arrived at 9:30. Hmm, Jumi too early? No! There was already a loooooong queue of women waiting outside with their umbrellas. What the... Hmm, strangely enough I already saw some female customers walking inside the store.. Uh, I don't get that, because the store would open at 10. Hmpfff strange and stupid! Probably some hungry women were already waiting outside at 7 am, and the security thought 'ah, well let's open the doors for them, before they (b)eat us'. Hmpf.

After waiting for a little 20 minutes Jumi entered the store. So many people, so many things! The store has as far as I could see, because people were pushing Jumi away (stupid hungry people! Get a pizza or something...) 4 floors. But then I saw why people were acting like they're hungry prehistorical creatures. They all wanted something from the brand Balmain! There was a special Balmain area, so many people went to that area. It's like the store gave away free masterpieces of pizzas or something.

So what's new and different about this store? Well, it has a large shoes collection. Jumi saw some gorgeous high heels, so she had to try it. Too bad that the shoes didn't fit.

The store also has a 'home' department where you can get a lot of cute stuff for your bathroom, living room and bedroom. Jumi was tired trying those heels. So she rested for a while. Good service of H&M, putting a bed for tired Jumi.

For this special opening, there were nailstylists. Waited for 10 minutes, but it took so long, so bye bye nailstylist. There also was a DJ. Luckily the music wasn't extremely loud, so no tissues in the ears. By the way, the ceiling of the building remained the same, that's good!

After a little hour Jumi left the store. She bought a new shirt, which you can find at any H&M btw. The cashier gave her a new Elle magazine as a little extra.

So is it worth it to go to the flagship store? Uhm, if you're curious about what you can find at the 'home' department. But you can also find this department in Amsterdam. I think it's nice for those who want to know how this old historical building transformed into a modern clothing store. I mean you can find many (yes many, probably you'll find sweaters in more colours in this store) other things at the three other H&M's in The Hague. OK, the shoes collection is big, but I guess you can find these shoes online too. One thing I didn't see are the clothing in sale, maybe that's logical, because it's a special flagship store. Because the building is big, the store has more space. So if you're a person who prefers to go shopping with a lot of private space, than this is the H&M place.

Time to eat!.... or not? Nope, outside the store a promoting lady gave a coupon to get a free sample for a hairspray from the brand Balmain. Jumi only had to go to another department store (Bijenkorf) to receive it. So Jumi went to the Bijenkorf and received 'Texturizing Salt Spray' of 50 ml. Does it smell salty? No it's smells like a hair salon.

Jumi is hungry. Now it's time to eat!

OK, probably you've noticed that Jumi doesn't post very often anymore...sowwie T_T. Little Jumi has been very busy lately. Busy with a new makeover? Hm, maybe. Busy with colouring her hair? Uhm...nope. But it has to do with the picture above. For those who wonder who that girl is on the picture above... (nope that's not Jumi)

Guess who left Japan to live with her family in The Netherlands? Vivi! Little Jumi's little sister! Yup, little Jumi is very busy showing Vivi the beautiful things in our little country. Vivi still has to acclimatize and get used to Dutch habits, Dutch food, Dutch sushi... 'OMG, some sushi taste like old, sweaty insoles', said Vivi. Can't help it Vivi. But she already loves the buildings and people on the streets smiling at her as she passes by.

Anyway, Vivi wants to post news on Jumi too. So at the moment little Jumi and Vivi are discussing about a new Jumi blog. Busy girlz! This means that the coming weeks we won't post very often. But you can always check out new photos of little Jumi, Vivi (and big bro... he's not dead) on Instagram. To be continued...

Mr Hamster ready to celebrate Halloween?

The Force Awakens when you wear these heels

We still have to wait a little while before we can see lightsabers, C-3PO and R2-D2 reuniting in the new Star Wars..... Shoes!

Yes Star Wars divas, Irregular Choice designed these special shoes! For now I've seen three different shoes.

The first one (see picture above), the R2-D2 heels are more for the classy divas who wants to be carried by R2-D2 with a classy blue color and design.

The lightsaber heels looks like they're made for the tough 'don't-mess-with-me-or-else-I'll hit or kick-you-with-my-lightsaber' divas. It has a shiny color and the edgy sole which makes the 'don't-mess-with-me' look complete.

I'm not a high heel walker, so I think the C-3PO totally fits me. (Or well, I prefer seeing R2-D2 on top of the shoe, because C-3PO isn't really my favorite character.) It's simple, with on the back saying 'Star Wars' and C-3PO looking at you.

These shoes will be available at the end of this month on the website of Irregular Choice. So are you ready to wear them at the première of The Force Awakens? Which one would you wear?

Jumi in pepernotenheaven in The Hague?

Is little Jumi dying? Heaven? Pepernotenheaven? Hueh? Fear not, she's not dead! Nope, little Jumi just visited a jummy store where they only sell.... pepernoten (or well, kruidnoten): Van Delft, de pepernotenfabriek.

For those who aren't familiar with 'kruidnoten', this is a cute little round cookie often eaten during the celebration of Sinterklaas (traditional Dutch feast for children and little Jumi's).

Anyway, this store specialized in kruidnoten (or pepernoten) has opened its door in The Hague. Besides the traditional ones, they also have flavored kruidnoten, such as raspberry, orange, caramel, truffle and coffee.

Jummy! Little Jumi's eyes almost popped out of her head. Kruidnoten here, kruidnoten there, kruidnoten everywere! I think the lady of the store noticed her eyes, so she gave her a kruidnoot to try. Little Jumi immediately put it on her head to calm down...

Secretly I bought a little bag with raspberry kruidnoten for little Jumi :) It's jummy!

Forget Hello Kitty, it's time to wear My Melody shoes

Hello Kitty sneakers, Hello Kitty creepers, Hello Kitty pumps and Hello Kitty moccasins. OMG, too much Hello Kitty shoes. That's enough! It's time to wear My Melody shoes!

My Melody is turning 40 and for this special occasion Japanese fashion retailer Randa will offer a line of gorgeous pumps, sweet moccasins and cute flats of My Melody!

Don't they all look supercute? I totally love the details on every shoe. The moccasins and pumps have a cute tail at the back. The bottom of the heel of the bijoux pump has the shape of a heart. And the limited edition of the house pump is just gorgeous with its window and My Melody sitting on a chair which is also the heel of the pump.

The prices vary from 11.900 yen to 19.900 yen (about €87 to €146).

Nice... But I don't think I would wear the house pump for example (limited item), because it looks too gorgeous to wear. What would you do? Wear it and show it off to the outside world?

I really don't mind going to a restaurant all by myself. In fact, it can be sooo relaxing when you can slurp, burp and smudge your food stains all over your table. Quietly, without anyone bothering you. Hmm, maybe that's what these people thought, when they visited this special Korean restaurant. Buuuut, then something happens...

This video is about a restaurant that bills itself as being just for single diners. So your getting a table in a special one-person dining booth. Yup, a small booth where your surrounded by walls. But what if a wall disappears?

Rent a guy to wipe your tears

Imagine this: you're pms'ing and you read a sad story about a hamster left behind by an idiot at the children's farm. Weeehhh. Wouldn't that make you cry? Hm, maybe not if you're at work. But what if your other collegues would cry along? And then your tears would be wiped away by a hottie? Let the tears fall down!

It sounds like a fairytale huh. But now you can actually rent a hottie to wipe your tears! (Or well, if you live in Japan) The fairytale comes true with Ikemeso, the company that rents out the tear-wiping gentlemen.

OK, this is how it works. The company has different types of gentlemen. Just pick your favorite. Choose an intellectual type, sweet dentist type, bad boy type or something else. Don't think they're just random guys. Nope, these guys are licensed in “therapeutic crying”. Uhuh. Anyway, he comes to your workplace. Then you (and your collegues) have to watch a tearjerking video. After the video, the guy will personally wipe your tears (if you want). A session costs 7900 yen (about €58). Hmm, I don't know about this service. Will it really help? Now I imagine a room full of collegues crying and shouting. I know, I know, maybe you're thinking 'why the h.. should I watch a music video of a Korean artist, I don't understand a word Korean..' Well, some music videos are really worth to watch. And yes, this time I've found another one by Mr. Bungle 미스터 벙글 with Farewell in Spring 봄의 이별.

OK, if you're pms-ing at the moment, maybe it's not such a good idea to watch the video, because you'll probably cry sooo much that your shirt will get all soggy with tears and snot. The video is sad, yet beautiful. You'll see a dog flying to space. Then suddenly something happens and he's back on earth again. Reunited with his girlie girlfriend...

And I think I'll end this post, before I say too much. You really should watch the video. In the end it's ok if you don't understand Korean, the video says it all.

Ulg, who doesn't hate the moment, coming home after a hard day of work, and still not done working. Because you have to cook! But you're lucky if you don't have to, and someone else does it for you. Cooking with lots of love.

Madeline Sharafian made this beautiful short animation, about someone who cooked with lots of love for the person coming home. And that someone is a... dog. How cuuuute. Definitely the perfect dog! With this animation Madeline wanted to show 'how meaningful it is to make food for someone you love'.

Yes it definitely is.. but for me... cooking=not love, eating=love. I love it when someone cooks for me!

There you have it. Your own created jummilicous ice cream. Jummmyy! But after one bite you find out that it's fake. What the.. Yup this is the Fake Food Sample Ice Cream Kit.

In Japan and South Korea I often saw restaurants displaying fake food. And omg some of them look sooo real and jummmyyyy. Pretty strange idea, drooling over a bit of plastic. If you like having fake food in your own house, you can buy the Fake Food Sample Ice Cream Kit. It's pretty easy to make, but ehm to pay $92 (about €82) for this package. Hmm I think I'll skip. Mr Hamster goes to Disney World

It's like they're always having fun, those hamsters. Recently a video has been spotted where a group celebrated the 4th of July, and now another hamster has been spotted visiting Disney World.

I think this Mister hamster just wanted to see his co-rodent and celeb, Mickey Mouse, in real life. After meeting Mickey he had a snack. And then went to attractions such as the Mad Tea Party. Hmm, I assume he didn't got sick at all, because afterwards he started to eat again. The day ended with beautiful firework.

Lovely to see how Mister hamster enjoys his day. It definitely was Hamster's Best Day Ever At DisneyWorld! Check out the video and see how he enjoys it!

Don't you ever feel refreshed and/or felt good and happy after you've polished your nails? Beautiful pinky color, bright blue, jummy yellow or whatever color that makes you smile? Restaurant serves food that tastes like crap

We all have experienced an unhappy moment going to a restaurant that served you food that tasted like crap. Sometimes there are discussions with friends about which restaurant serves the crappiest food. Hmm, I think you'll definitely win the discussion after you visited Curry Shop Shimizu in Tokyo. Why? They serve crap-flavored curry!

Curry Shop Shimizu is founded by Ken Shimizu. Rrrrigh, I think you might think 'why the hell a crappy restaurant???!'. Well, he wanted to create the world's first something. So after good thinking, he came up with curry that tastes like crap, which isn't being sold anywhere else in the world.

It took him several years to create the perfect curry crap recipe. No real crap has been used btw. Nope, the curry is a combination of the extreme bitterness of its two main ingredients goya (bitter gourd) and senburi (swertia japonica) tea.

Sounds jummy, right? Uhmm, no. So why the hell would anyone visit this restaurant? Uhmm, maybe to win the discussion with friends about the crappiest restaurant ever?

Uhh, what the EE? Nope, I'm not trippin'. Not in a bad trip. Maybe a bit scared when I watched this colorful music video of EE. So maybe a little bad trip while I was sober..

So there you are. Standing at the airport of Stockholm. Waiting for your flight. Checking the weather app. How's the weather in Reykjavik now, or in Hong Kong? Hmmkay and then you see a fahrenheit/celcius number... OK, soooo how hot is it? Is this lovely sweater you're wearing maybe too thick. Iekk what to wear?! Maybe the Climate Simulator can help you to decide what to wear at your destination.

Sooo what's the Climate Simulator? Stockholm's airport offers this unique weather service where you can actually feel how warm or cold it is at a destination. And you can hear and see your destination. It's like having a preview. “With the climate portal we wanted to explore the possibilities of not just taking you to your destination, but our destinations to you. A direct link to the whole world,” said Michael Persson Gripkow, marketing director at Swedavia. Ladies, this simulator might be handy if you still don't know or you should wear the dress you've packed in your handbag or just stick with the outfit you're wearing at the moment.

Anyway, the simulator is a portal where you can enter three different rooms. You can enter the following rooms:

Go Cold room: Here you can feel cold northern winds, hear barking dogs, see winter landscapes. Step into this room and the portal will take you to places such as Kiruna, Tromsö and Reykjavik
Go Hot room: Feel the heat while hearing sounds of cicades in Dubai, Doha and Fort Lauderdale
Go Big room: This room is awesome. Hear the buzz of the city and smell different kitchens in the world. For a moment you're in Hong Kong, NY or LA.

The portal is a huge success! It has had over 40.000 visitors so far. Too bad that it's a temporarily addition to Stockholm Arlanda Airport. You can visit it till August 31.

I think we all have seen (at least) one film of Hayao Miyazaki or Studio Ghibli. And I think we all have cried a tiny little bit (or a looot) watching a film of him. And I think we all have favorited (at least) one film in our top 5 list. So it's inevitable that there are a lot fans creating tributes to Hayao Miyazaki. And this tribute is sooo omg. Totally love it!

Don't be shy and watch Primary's new music video

Ieek, it's like watching the Craft. Doing spiritual stuff with the Ouija board, creepy dolls floating, ghost under a white sheet (oh no, is it Primary turned into a ghost?) and pokemoncards (?). Yup, these are the ingredients of the new music video of Primary ft. Choa of AOA & Iron with the song Don't Be Shy (아끼지마).

Totally looove the music of Korean artist Primary. Now he worked together with two artists to create this new magical song. It's a bit different than I'm used to hear from Primary because of the reggae beats. But with the combination of the singer, it doesn't give it a too tropical taste. Ah well, maybe it's because of the video. Yet, this is another song that I really love. The song isn't about creepy stuff or horror. But about daring. Dare to take steps to uhm.... do lovely stuff with someone you like.

And the music video isn't really scary too. So please watch it. The only thing I don't like is....*spoiler alert* A cute pink bunny will be burnt at the end of the video. Noooooo whhyyyyy!!! Anyway, I still love the song.

Special cafe only for stuffed animals

Good news for little Jumi's, teddybears and other little friends. Tomorrow the very first cafe will open exclusively for them: the Yawarakan’s Cafe in Japan. And with exclusively I mean that humans aren't allowed to enter, this is a cafe only for your stuffed animal!

'Hueh?' is what I thought. Also when I read that the cafe is also runned by.... stuffed animals. Hueh? Hueh? Yes, I'm serious! I'm not joking!

So you can't go to the cafe, but your little friend can't go by him/herself to the cafe either. So howww.... OK, this is how it works. It starts with making a reservation for your little friend. Then send your little friend (by mail) to the cafe. Your little friend will be welcomed at the cafe. And then your little friend will have the best time of his/her life (hopefully he/she won't miss you that much)!

The evening will look like this:
1. the guest will get a jummy welcome drink, dinner and a delicious dessert;
2. after the guest has enjoyed the meal, some entertainment will be offered. Your little friend can listen to ghost tales or play cards with the staff;
3. sleepytime! Probably your little friend will be exhausted after having an evening like this. So the cafe offers the guest one night's lodging.

The next day your little friend will be send back to you, with souvenirs! The package costs ¥4,968 (that's about €26). Hmmm, is it really worth it to send your little friend to Yawarakan’s Cafe?

It's a nice idea to show your love for your little friend this way. Definitely something for little Jumi. But then I read that one strict rule is that 'stuffed animals must be no larger than the size of your hand' to enter the cafe. Nooooo whyyyy. OK, sorry little Jumi....
