I scream for ice cream and spring!

Now, I love ice cream year-round. But sometimes, when it's below zero here in Wisconsin, ice cream isn't the first snack that comes to mind.

So when I was crafting with friends one cold night, and saw the bright spring colors The Cats Pajamas is using for their Tuesday challenge, I knew I had to feature a set that will totally be me all the time when it warms up. ;)

I used the yeti as my party monster, and made it look like the crayons were raining confetti on him. I used a mix of sequins for texture and color. :)

Here's another card I worked on at a mini crop this weekend, featuring some of my favorite Stampin' Up star products - star framelits, embossing folder, and the mini punch that makes colorful borders like this a breeze.

I am entering this in the My Favorite Things sketch challenge, color challenge, and the Simon Says Stamp texture challenge. :)

A Piece of Paradise

I have some sad news and some good news...

The sad news: The Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog is only good until January 2. You can get the free catalog PDF download or shop the holiday products right here in my store.

These are the items from the holiday catalog that will be carried over and available after January 2 (download PDF list). Anything not on the list may be retired...there's a chance it could show up in the new annual catalog, but if you fell in love with those versatile Expressions Thinlit dies, or the classy Pretty Print embossing folder, or the festive patterned papers, or any of the non-carryover stamps, get your order in by Thursday!

The good news is the Occasions (spring!) catalog starts up on January 2nd, so you can email me at JumpIntoStamping@gmail.com and I'll get one in the mail to you for free, along with the upcoming Sale-a-Bration brochure that starts at the end of January. Birthday card inspiration

Happy Friday! I'm sharing the birthday card I gave to my sisters for their birthdays yesterday (yes, twins). I was inspired by a card I found on Pinterest that used a different color scheme and flower stamps.

To make this card, I took some scrap paper, punched out different sized circles, and used the paper as a mask. I then got my sponge daubers inked up in the 3 colors, and filled in the circles onto the white layer. I added a mix of butterflies in black overlapping the colorful polka dots after they dried.

Try this idea with favorite image stamps and your own color scheme. I think it would be cute with some blue tones and snowflakes, or purple and orange with some Halloween bats. :)

I just got my Stampin' Success demo magazine including some sneak peeks at the new In Colors and new products.

It also came with this cute invitation to Convention in SLC in July. Maybe that cutout is a preview of an upcoming die or Framelit shape? We shall see next month!
