Black Panther Inspired Loc Hairstyle

Happy Sunday Barbies and Kens!!! Have you seen the movie Black Panther? Who is your favorite actor/actress? I liked Letitia Wright because she is smart strong and have some dope hairstyles. I will be sharing one of those hairstyles in this post.

This is the style I recreated. This loc hairstyle is suitable for medium length to longer length locs as well as for any hair thickness. The accessories I used were a hair tie and some small rubber bands. To see how I did the loc hairstyle watch the video above.

Happy Monday Barbies and Kens!!! Summer is officially here and there are some fashion items that I am loving. Last week while doing a Facebook post, I saw this website popped up at the right hand corner. I went on the website and saw some very cute inexpensive pieces. I have never shopped on the site but from the reviews on Youtube as well as their site it is safe to say it is great. The romper above is one of the items as well as the items below. I have been experimenting with my locs ever since I cut them. For this summer, I want to do as many funky styles as possible and today I will showcase cornrows. Cornrows have been a staple hairstyle for the summer and we see everybody wearing them from Khole Kardashian to Alicia Keys, Tyra Banks and even Kim Kardashian. So today, I want to share how you can achieve the look with medium length locs.

It can be tedious to get it done on shorter or medium length locs because the hair length is not even. I did a technique in this video that showcases how to combat your uneven locs. Wanna get the look with your locs? Check the video below.

Homemade Pre-Shampoo Spray for Locs

Hey, Barbies and Kens!!! I am here to share a homemade pre-shampoo spray. What is a pre-shampoo spray you may ask? A pre-shampoo spray is a spray that helps to get rid of unwanted buildup and oils from your hair before you wash it.

Products Used
1. Apple Cider Vinegar
2. Distilled Water
3. Peppermint Oil/Tea tree Oil

How to Make
1. Pour 1/2 to a cup of ACV in an 8oz spray bottle.
2. Add 5 to 8 drops of peppermint or tea tree oil to the ACV
3. Add distilled water to about 1/2 to a 3/4 of the bottle. (depending on how much of the other 2 ingredients you used)

Directions
Spray product on your hair and massage it in with your fingertips. You can rinse out of your hair but if you choose, you can use a towel to get rid of the build from your hair. For better results, leave the product on your hair for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water and follow up with the shampoo of your choice.

Buying a Luxury Item on a Budget

Everybody like to wear and own a piece of luxury item. These items are not cheap and usually requires us to be rich, thrifty or budget well. In this post, I will explain how you can achieve a piece of luxury without going broke.

I love to spurge on bags and shoes because I think I can pair them with inexpensive pieces. Also, these pieces are usually durable. When I attempt to buy these pieces, I usually;

1) Buy them when they are on sale if the store offer sales. I never buy items full price because they always go on sale. I also look for coupons to use on top of the sale as well as to give me free shipping if it is online. I also try to shop during major holidays or the changing of the seasons because most store try to sell all the past season items out. I also go to discount store like Ross, Marshalls, TJ Max, Off Sak Fifth Avenue or Nodstrom Rack. If I buy online, I use Ebates and get a percentage of what I pay for the item back with a check in the mail. Ebates is great if you shop online. Want to sign up click here.

2) Do not empty your bank account to buy the item. Put aside a manageable amount every week, 2 weeks or month. Every penny counts and you will get there eventually.

3) You can also buy the item preloved. There are so many consignment sites and used brand shops that sell luxury items that are in impeccable condition. Here are a few of the sites that I would recommend Tradesy, Fashionphile, Therealreal, Brandoff on Ebay, Gallery Rare Japan on Ebay, Brandworks on Ebay, Elady and Poshmark. These store have items at a fraction of what you would pay for it in the store and they are in great condition.

4) There are different tier of luxury items so buy what your pocket can afford. If you cannot buy the Louis Vuitton Neverfull, go for a Coach City Tote or a Michael Kors bag. They have the same look but different price tag.

Get Rid of Bloating Instantly/ Teami Tea

Happy Hump Day Barbies and Kens!!!! I am here to share with you how you can get rid of your bloating instantly. The items you will need are Teami Tea and a waist trainer. This is something that lot of us females have to tend with. I know mine is cause from chewing gum, beans and lentils, whole wheat and fruit and veggies.
What do you do when you get bloated?

Instructions
1) Take a half a tablespoon of Teami Skinny Tea and put it in a tea packet or strainer, pour some hot water on it.
2) Allow the tea to steep for 1 to 2 minutes. If you allow it to steep longer or if you use too much, it will be too harsh on your stomach.
3) While the tea is steeping, put on your waist trainer.
4) After the tea is finished steeping, drink it.

Belly Fat Burner & Body Cleanse Drink

Benefits of each Ingredient

Ginger

Ginger lights a fire under your metabolism, prevent constipation and make unwanted belly fat disappear. To see more results, drink or cook with ginger very often.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera as you know has a lot of great uses. As for weight loss, it is most efficient in that process because of the anti-oxidants it contains. These anti-oxidants help the delay of free radicals in the body. It also stimulates the metabolic rate in the body which in turn increases your energy level.

Lemon

Lemon gets rid of all the toxins in the body and will crush fat. Once the fat is out of the system, the metabolism level will increase.

Warm Water
A glass of warm water on an empty stomach first thing in the morning will cleanse your body flushing it of all the toxins. Water and liquids help in the process of breaking down food in your stomach and makes the digestive track work as it should. Water can also prevent constipation.

Recipe for the Drink
1 tablespoon of aloe vera juice
1 tablespoon grated ginger
1 lemon
1 glass warm water

There are 2 ways to make this drink, you can do it as a tea or you can do it as a "water" drink. I did mine as a water drink because I think it works more effective this way.

How to make ("water" drink)
Prepare aloe vera by washing and cutting.
Prepare the ginger by washing and drying.
Cut your small lemon and extract the juice.
Add the aloe vera, ginger and lemon juice into a blender/ninja/magic bullet and blend.
After add the juice to the warm water. Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes and then drink.

NB: Do not make too much of it at once because remember you should drink it warm.

Taste of the Drink
This drink is very tasty. You will not taste the aloe vera in it. The dominant tasting ingredients are the lemon and ginger.

Results
I use it as a cleanse because over Thanksgiving and Christmas I ate a lot of unhealthy foods and I want to clean my system of them. To see maximum results, drink this for 5 to 7 days in a row. You can drink it once or twice a day. If you do once a day, take it first thing in the morning before you eat breakfast. If you drink it twice a day drink it first thing in the morning and then before you go to bed.

To complete my outfit, I am wearing a skater skirt from Asos.com $7 (old), Forever21 Cami $1.90, Kenneth Cole Sunnies, New Balance 696 Hybrid Pack Lifestyle Sneakers $23.21, LV tote, Citizen watch and Salvatore Ferragamo bangles. You can switch out the LV, Citizen watch and Ferragamo bangles for something more budget friendly. I styled this using items I brought on my vacation.

Unless you attend a class when you workout or you like to listen to your thoughts I would suggest headphones to make your workout more fun. I recommend this Beats by Dre wireless earphones. They are on the pricier side. They are $229 at Walmart but you can get something back if you sign up for Ebates. You can get the headphones here.

I Like Big Hair & I Cannot Lie

Happy Hump day Barbies and Kens!!!!! It's been forever since I have made a post on my blog. I am here today to drop a quick post.

Please do not be startled I did not cut my locs I have it under this wig. Please checkout my latest Youtube video and you will see what inspired me to wear it.

The outfit is very simple and affordable. The bodysuit is from Forever 21 (500 yen/$5), American Eagle high waisted denim ($3) from Marshalls, booties ($15) from Asos.com, Zara blazer (900 yen/$9). You can change out the bags and accessories for affordable pieces as well.

But in this post, I an wearing my LV speedy bag, Nina Ricci sunnies, Citizen watch and a gold necklace I got myself as a gift 10 years ago.

Joe Chips Classic Sea Salt Retro Chips – Value $1.50
I love chips and this was one of those chips that I ate as soon as I opened the box. I liked how crunchy it was with the perfect amount of salt.

House of Pom Emoji Cocktail Napkins – Value $25
I love these coasters. I was not able to use them this summer but I will be next summer. I envision using them outside when I make Jamaican rum punch or some Jamaican lemonade. These will add the finishing touches to any drink.

Pintrill Pineapple Pin – Value $12

Sunnylife Inflatable Swan Drink Holder – Value $18
This inflatable drink holder was another piece that I was not able to use. I wanted to use it at a pool party to serve drinks to my friends. I think this will be a little different and the will think they are at a pool in Vegas.

Sachajuan Hair in the Sun – Value $32
I did not use this product in my hair because I think the product was not compatible with my hair type and texture. This is not to say the product is bad.

Michael Stars Porcelain Skinny Scarf in White – Value $30
