absolute Must Have for any Faces fan.
It's 4 discs. The really cool thing is it was put together by Ian
McLagan. The songs are not in a chronological order, but in an order
that he felt flowed well (and it does). There is an awesome version of
Maggie May (which is not one of my most favorite songs). This version
has no Mandolin and sounds much more like the Faces. There are a lot of
live tracks from the BBC, a few songs from rehersals, etc. Probably my favorite tracks are That's All You Need and Around The Plynth (both on Disc 2).

I've been really in an Izzy mood lately. He is one of my favorite guitar players of all time. 117 Degrees has been spending a lot of time in my CD player lately, as well as Izzy's first solo project after leaving Guns and Roses, Izzy Stradlin' and the JuJu Hounds. This CD is very underrated, IMO. If you love that Exile on Main Street sound, you can't help but love Izzy's solo stuff (for those of you who are fans, this is no new news). One reason I think Izzy is so damn cool is he is really not so much concerned about his image as he is about his music. As much as I'm a tech junkie, I just think it is so hard core and cool that Izzy has no web site. So if you want to know what type of toothpaste the man uses, if he's on line right now, what mood he is in and how many on line friends he has, etc. you are out of luck. Yes folks, that's right. You have to find out about Mr. Stradlin' the old fashion way. Listen to his music and let the music do the talking (in the words of the fantabulous Mr. Joe Perry).
