Well baby boy number two is here to be know in the blog as K2. Anyway I find myself becoming frustrated with breastfeeding this time around. I really wish I was not as I feel K2 will be left out since I breastfed K for six months. So some of me wants to just do formula as it sounds like it would be easier, but my other side feels like I am letting my little man down. Ahhh the guilt !!

On another note the Navy will be moving us by the beginning of April this year. I wonder how the boys will do as we plan to have them share a room when we move. On top of that my oldest little man is showing signs of wanting to potty train. I was going to wait on potty training until after the move because that will be right around his 2nd birthday !

These snow days stuck at the house leave to much time for my mind to randomly spin !

It's all running together

Let's see it has been a really long time since i posted anything here. However I really needed to vent today so here we go.

Baby number two will be here within the next 6 weeks. K just went for his 18month check up and is still at the top of all the charts. The dogs are lazy as ever, and the cats are driving me up the wall. In fact I think everything is currently driving me up the wall. The house is never as clean as I want, my husband plays his video game every night when he gets home to unwind. He takes the weekend off, and my job just continues to roll on. He still refuses to change a poop diaper if I am home, and he only cleans out the cat box when he feels like it.

We have guest coming this weekend, and I guess everything is good enough for when they get here. If i spend every night after K goes to bed cleaning until I am ready for bed the house should be close to where I want it to be. The yard is not mowed, but B will probably wait until the neighbor kid comes over to cut it. Speaking of the neighbor kid last time he just cut our grass and expected to be paid with out asking if we wanted it done or not. I was going to tell him to eat it his fault not mine. However B went and got him money for doing it!!! I was freaking PO'd.

Alright so thanks for reading this if you got this far I am impressed. Feeling much better now after my little rant so back to some house work while the little man is sleeping

Well Valentine's Day was good church, lunch out, and pizza and chocolate for dinner. Today we are taking the van into the shop. Not on my list of fun things to do. All beacuse the light pole blended in with the pavement on a rainy night. Oh well! :(

High light of the weekend. We got our taxes done, and we are gettting a good amount of money back. Here is hoping it fully covers the van repair, and we get to keep a little bit of money. The next best part of the weekend... we got our first rent check from the new renter in the Virginia house yeah!! I will be so happy when we live there and do not have two houses to worry about, and two rent/mortgage payments.

Well it appears all the guys are on the mend. Thank goodness. I was not sure how long I could hold out juggling the baby, and sanatizing everything in the house. On the down side it is warm and muggy here, but wait it gets better, the AC is out AGAIN!! I mean seriously this is the 4th time this year. Now as for the holiday weekend going on, i am hoping the AC guy gets here Monday. I am not in to sweating all day and night due to humidity.
Anyway got a lot done today overall. The dogs got pedicures, dishes are done, and half the vacuuming is done. So off to a good start for the holiday weekend. Now if I can only keep the steam rolling all weekend I might get the entire to do list done. Haha that will never happen. The darn to do list is never ending. So here goes hoping that the baby and I do not get sick, and that the housework keeps on rolling.

Well I know I have been slacking around here. Both adult males currently in my household are sick. It is NOT the swine flu thank goodness. So I am busy trying to sanitize behind them and not get sick myself. All the fun of that while balancing the baby and trying to keep him from getting sick. So I hope every one else is feeling good out there. Just trying to keep up around here.

The title says it all. Nothing of any interest happened. I started a new twitter account for the cooking blog, and we went to the store for basic food stuffs. The rest of the day was spent at home doing nothing. Which is good I guess. I am pretty stoked about the neighborhood yardsale this weekend, and the fact that hubby gets a four day weekend for the holiday!!!

     Well K was grouchy most of the day. So I was busy trying to stay somewhat sane with a screaming midget in the house. While I was changing a diaper the cat comes up being all nice and rubbing on my legs like a good little cat. As soon as I quit paying attention to the cat he hacks up a big hairball directly behind me. The darn cat managed to do this twice today since he is such a little helper. I think he waits for the worst time to do such things.
     Any way got the little man to go to bed a little late, but not bad considering how our day went. Waiting on the hubby to get home. He forgot to call so dinner was not ready to go when he got here. I whipped up some torteloni in marinara sauce with green beans mixed in. I find it much easier to get hubby to eat vegetables if I can mix it in to something. If the veggies are in a seperate pan that clearly means that they are optional.
     On a good not the community yard sale is coming up. Two whole weekends in October to roam the neighborhood, and look for baby equipment for the wee one to grow in to. The family back home is starting to ask about Christmas/New Year's plans. If only the Navy would let me have this much time to plan. All we know so far is which family we are visiting for which holiday. Houston for Christmas, and the vallley for New Years. Chalk it up to one more thing to start adding to the to do list.
     Well I am off to get a nice long relaxing shower and then off to bed for some reading!! Good night all!!

Dog Biscuits

All right just for you mom!! The dog biscuit recipe.

PeaMutt Butter Dog Treats
1/4 C peanut butter
1 C water
1 Tbs vegetable oil
2 1/4 C whole wheat flour
1 C oatmeal

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl combine peanut butter, oil, andwater. Gradually add flour, then oatmeal. Roll to 1/4 inche thickness and cut with small cookie cutter. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 35 minutes. Makes apprx. 5 dozen

     Well we had a great visit with Auntie over the weekend. A is so tiny and cute. Of course if A is in the picture with K he looks like a giant. I am working on getting some pictures to put up soon. We did some scrapbook stuff to that was fun. Mom I will get that dog biscuit recipe up soon. You just asked right before everything got busy here.
     K tried to stay up all night not really. He was just up past his bed time. He also demanded that he eat real food while all the adults ate. None of this I'll have a bottle while you guys munch on the good stuff. He is so funny. As soon as he got some bread chunks to eat he was happy to be eating with us.
     Well that is all fort he moment. Trying to get back in the swing of everything with no company here!!

     Well I have not even been doing this blog stuff for an entire month yet, but I am having a good time with it. So, what has me impressed? Only using google adsense for the last half of the month of September I made 33 dollars. This amazes me as I am also having fun writing everything. I really use this blog as a stress relief/vent before I head to bed at night.
     I am a bit nervous about starting up the new cooking blog and keeping it all going, but i think it will be fun. My family will be eating the same as the blog. I am trying to get all my menus made up so I can make one a week and still have a few in back up.
     On another fun note!! My sister in law and little niece will be here by lunch tomorrow. We are taking the kidlets to get their pictures made!!! Yeah so much fun. Then we are staying home and being crafty. Speaking of niece, both of her parents are active duty in the Army, which means training missions!! That means I might be watching her for the first week of November, because they will be on field ops. I am kind of nervous and excited about balancing two little ones, but I am sure I can do it. The kidlets are 4 months apart, so what I just finished doing with K is what A(niece abbrv. from now on) will be doing right be hind him.
     Speaking of K!! The little clown is so funny. Today I let him feed his self little pieces of bread. He thought it was great.  I expect him to be crawling any day now. He is so close to crawling right now it is scary. He did fine with all his shots from the other day. He is just like it never happened. Of course since we went to the pediatrician, I now have to acknowledge that he in fact only has a few inches left to go in his infant carrier. Then it is on to the big kid car seat. (sniff)

     Well today's good news, is that we still have renters for another month at the house in Virginia!!!! That means not so much worry on the budget part. I do hope they find new renters that want in before these guys decide to leave. I think we are going to tell the property manager to up the rent which will work out even better. So that was a big load off my plate in the money department.
     The weather iscooling off so all the dogs found some long lost energy. They have been running around playing like puppies for two days. The cats on the other hand are looking for cuddly places to spend the days.
     Getting the house ready for the sister in law to visit. She is allergic to cats, so I will be scrubbing the cats and doing some extra vacuuming, and dusting. I should probablly tell her thanks for coming so I get all this house work done. Big plans for the weekend while she is here. Photo shoot for the babies!!! Her little girl is four months younger than K. Then getting ready for some scrapbooking and crafting. It will be fun to have a little more girl energy in the house.
     K was pretty good today over all. I mean for the day after shots he was awesome I suppose. We made it out to get groceries, and other household stuffs. Then he was well behaved while the AC/heater guys were here. He also found it in his schedule to let me have time to call the DMV, and wait on hold for 16 minutes.
     Over all a very productive day in our little world.

Visiting the Dr.

Man was today busy. Up early and off to the pediatrician. That took 2 hours because of the million kids sick with the flu. Thank goodness our pediatrician office has 2 waiting rooms(sick/well)!! Anyway poor little K got 4 shots and a liquid vaccine today. He was such a trooper. Of course we get home and he is grumpy for the rest of the day. He went to sleep a little late, but he was up when daddy got home so good trade I guess.
So in between grouchy baby, and everything else!! I managed to wash all of the cloth diapers, and a load of dishes. Then it was left-overs for dinner. Sneaking in a little bit of blog work, and balancing the check book. Tomorrow will be full of exciting stuff like paying all the bills oh joy!!

Progress Made!!

     Well today's big accomplishment was vacuuming the downstairs. Mixed in with juggling the baby, and making dinner. Thank you who ever invented the crock pot!! That kitchen gadget is so handy. Dropped a chicken in covered it in potatoes, and add some spice. Tada dinner made itself.
     I think the little man is getting that second tooth right now he was clingy and grumpy all day. That just means tomorrow should be very exciting. I mean who would not enjoy going to the pediatrician for shots with a teething baby!!! So I hope I get enough sleep tonight. I really am not anticipating anything fun tomorrow. Oh and to throw it in we have/need to go grocery shopping tomorrow.

Lazy Day?

     Today we got up and went to church on time!! Yeah!! The sermon was rather interesting, and will be continued next week. So after the service we went down. to help unload pumpkins for the church pumpkin patch. This was only slightly reminiscent of high school when our church back home had a pumpkin patch.
     After pumpkins we rushed home, because hubby had to go in to work for a few hours. When hubby was home K got a bath. On Sundays I fill up the big tub and let K swim around!! The little guy loves to play in the big tub. So as it goes we did a lot, but still had a fun refreshing Sunday with the family.
     After K went to sleep for the night I did a few more crafty things. Not finished with it yet so no pics. I am really enjoying getting to do some crafty stuff. This coming week we are pretty busy so no crafty time in the near future. Maybe next weekend.

Well my hubby watched the munchkin most of the day!!! I got a lot of the crafty stuff I needed to done. Two blankets made for baby shower gifts, and a trick or treat bag for K plus a spare little bag.

Date Night

     So I am sitting here on the floor playing with the little guy before he gets his last bottle of the night. Then it is off to get ready for date night! I finally got him down to sleep after he fought it the whole way.
     Out the door and off to Red Lobster!! We were going to go to a movie, but there is nothing out at a theater near us that seemed appealing. As soon as we left it started raining, but no big deal.   We got over to the restaurant, and there is no parking. Guess what we forgot the dinner crowd on Friday nights last longer then during the week. So I jumped out of the car to get our names on the list as we were anticipating a long wait. Surprise no wait for the smoking section, and we are in luck no baby. So we walked right in and sat down. Next awesome moment! They are serving endless shrimp plates!! It was definitely relaxing to go out, and not worry about if we would need another bottle or a new diaper.
     Overall it was a great time out with just the hubby. My bro was cool to sit at home, and just play video games while listening for the kidlet. Gotta love that the kid has gone to this 12 hour sleeping pattern. Really it is about 11 hours 30 min, but who is counting!! I really just hope the diaper makes it most nights. On a rare occasion there is a little leak, but nothing major.
     I sent the link to the new blog out to the family and friends for a review before I start releasing post. I think it will all go really well as long as I can get enough traffic.    That just about wraps up the day!!!

     Well today we went and got Korvin's picture done in his Halloween outfit, that will not fit by Halloween. We got a few done in a cute little sweater outfit that Erin got for him. I am in LOVE with some of the pics we captured today!!! I can hardly wait to post them online for the fam!! Maybe some for all of you blog guys too. Poor little guy has no idea on Monday he is getting his 6 months shots at the pediatrician office.
     The new blog is coming along nicely. I am getting a few weeks worth of recipes set up. I figure I need a stock pile for those days K wil just not let me type out a recipe. Then we paid some bills, and played some games. The dishes went into the dish washer, and dinner was cooked.
     Now off to do some kitchen clean up, get ready for bed, and do my Bible reading for the day. Oh yeah,the super exciting news!!!! (DRUM ROLL PLEASE!) I got a baby sitter for tomorrow so hubby and I can go out ALONE!!

Well I guess there was progress after all.

So I was just sitting here thinking that nothing got done today, and we did not go any where. That leaves nothing to write about. However upon further evaluation! I managed 2 loads of laundry, cooked a 3 course dinner, and entertained th baby today. We also fit in a really fun bath time to today. K love to play in the water.
Best part of the day? The AC started working again randomly. The weather is not bad here it is just so humid it is miserable. Anyway not much else got done as K was quite a handful today.

     Ok get up feed munchkin, make breakfast for hubby. Put baby down for nap, clean up kitchen. Wait for baby to get up.
     Here is where it gets good. Go to Wal-mart for lawnmower oil, and a few random things. Get through store, check out put things in car. Suddenly remember you do not have lawnmower oil. The one thing you really needed. Hike all the way back in to store to get such things. Get home unload bags and now sleeping baby. Get everything ready to go. Now realize that you are extremely low on weed eater line. Blah!! Go figure! Oh well guess it will take a while for the weed eater to get line now. I hate going into Wal-Mart.
     Anyway got it all done, and helped the hubby with some work so hopefully he can have some time off this weekend. Now to get everything together for a baby photo shoot tomorrow.

Well the dog decided to start my day at 2am, then K wanted up at 5am. Got the little one convinced to go back to sleep. Hubby work alarm goes off at 6:30am. K gets up again at 7am. Not really the start to the day that I was looking for. So no real producctivity around the house today. I took a nap during early morning nap time. Then we got up and went to the store. We ho hummed along most of the day since I am still a bit tired. Highlight of my day was the following funny e-mail someone sent me.

THE PASTOR'S CAT...

This particular story just made me laugh. Every time I think about it, the vision of that poor cat just amuses me to no end. Hope th e story leaves a bright spot in your day.

Dwight Nelson recently told a true story about the pastor of his church. He had a kitten that climbed up a tree in his backyard and then was afraid to come down. The pastor coaxed, offered warm milk, etc. The kitty would not come down.

The tree was not sturdy enough to climb, so the pastor decided that if he tied a rope to his car and pulled it until the tree bent down, he could then reach up and get the kitten.

That’ s what he did, all the while checking his progress in the car. He then figured if he went just a little bit further, the tree would be bent sufficiently for him to reach the kitten. But as he moved the car a little further forward, the rope broke.

The tree went 'boing!' and the kitten instantly sailed through the air - out of sight.

The pastor felt terrible. He walked all over the neighborhood asking people if they'd seen a little kitten. No. Nobody had seen a stray kitten.

So he prayed, 'Lord, I just commit this kitten to your keeping,' and went on about his business.

A few days later he was at the grocery store, and met one of his church members. He happened to look into her shopping cart and was amazed to see cat food.

This woman was a cat hater and everyone knew it, so he asked her, ‘Why are you buying cat food when you hate cats so much?' She replied, 'You won't believe this,' and then told him how her little girl had been begging her for a cat, but she kept refusing.

Then a few days before, the child had begged again, so the Mom finally told her little girl, 'Well, if God gives you a cat, I'll let you keep it.' She told the pastor, 'I watched my child go out in the yard, get on her knees, and ask God for a cat. And really, Pastor, you won't believe this, but I saw it with my own eyes. A kitten suddenly came flying out of the blue sky, with its paws outspread, and landed right in front of her.'

Lesson learned: Never underestimate the Power of God and His unique sense of humor.

So I hope that made everyone at least smile. Off to bed early for me tonight, gotta try and catch some extra sleep!!

     Well today went pretty darn good in my book. We all got up and dressed for church, and even made it there early. The sermon today was excellent, it really got me thinking.
     I learned quite a bit about HTML code for the new blog while I was fiddling with it today. Only a few more things to get done. Then I will start stock piling recipes to post. I plan to start publishing them on the first of October.
     The rest of the day was spent entertaining the little dude, and clipping coupons. For some reason K was really clingy today. So I guess nothing of note really happened today. Which is good in my book.

     I nice relaxing Sunday!!

     Well turns out I was exhausted when I got up today. So much so that dealing with K was not on the list. So I got up gave him a bottle and tried to play with him. No luck so I put him back in his crib to play, and crawled back in bed for a little bit. He dealt with that for about 30 minutes. So I got up we went downstairs for some baby mush, and then he toddled about in his walker for a little while.
     Then we got hubby off to work and K down for his regularly scheduled nap. I do a little straightening up in the kitchen. Now I intend to lay down for a little nap myself. No luck as soon as I get comfy and lay down. Guess who gets up!! So i get the wee one a bottle, and procede to entertain him. Then the best thing happens. Hubby gets home from work!!! (throw little happy party) Thank goodness the work days on Saturday are short. So hubby and K go down stairs to hang out. You know what that crazy kid stayed up 30 min ate a bottle, and took a nap for his daddy!!!
     So after about a 2 hour nap I am feeling much better. Not on top of the world mind you, but better. Sure enough I am up 20 minutes, and baby gets up. Anyway my patience for the little guy was pretty much zilch all day long. We made it through the day, and no one got hurt. I do plan on leaving the guys alone tomorrow for a little just mommy time. Also working on a mommy and daddy night out!!! Hoorray for church nursery in the morning. No little guy for an hour!! Some times I feel bad when I get so excited to leave him, but hey mom's need a break too!!
     Still working on getting everything together for the cooking, recipe blog. I decided on a name "Kitchen Mixing" very fitting I think. Now off for a little relaxation and reading!!
