Just about scrapping

Kicking myself back into scrapping!

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Mon, 06 Sep 2010 02:33:00 +0000

I have no explanation why I have completely not wanted to scrap over these past few months. Not lack of time. Not lack of supplies. Not lack of photos. Just lack of mojo.

I haven't even wanted to be in my scraproom over these winter months.

But I hate being in this stalled state, so the only thing to do is LOAD!

Yes, here we go again, I have signed up for LayOut A Day in October. Absolutely a mad month to do it in, but then again - so was February!

So I have about 3 weeks to spring clean my scrap room, replenish supplies and print photos. Because it is a busy month for me, I am also going to prepare some page packs, ready to go, with photos, papers, embellishments all together.

So you should see some action on this page soon :)

Dusting off the scrap table

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Mon, 05 Apr 2010 05:29:00 +0000

I took March off from scrapping, still doing my 365 photos for Project Life, but otherwise having a break after LOAD in February. So it is time to ease back in and catch up on capturing the business of our year so far.

But first, a little photo printing to begin ...

I think they are all uploaded here now, but might shuffle them into order if I get time.

I am proud to say I have maintained my daily photo challenge throughout January and have celebrated by creating a new blog, just for the project.

I have moved my daily posts from this site to the new one and will continue to post them there, leaving this site for my scrapbooking.

Six months on - how the scrap room looks today

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Fri, 15 Jan 2010 00:54:00 +0000

It is hard to believe it is heading for six months since Kaitlyn moved out of home and I set up my scrap room in her old room! I don't know where the time goes.

I have had lots of requests lately about some of the ways I organise my supplies, equipment etc, so I thought it was a good time to update the photos! And I have even managed to create a video tour on youtube:

Part One
Part Two

Now, compared to all those mega scrap studios that are squirreled away in US basements and bigger than you could believe spare rooms, my space is more like a large American closet than an actual room! People ask the dimensions, so I measured - 3.2m x 2.3m! No idea what that is in feet and inches!

So, let the tour begin!

This is where I do everything! The table is deep enough for me to push the laptop to the back while I scrap and the workspace is large enough for my projects. It mostly stays this clear and if I need more room, this stuff can all be put aside.

In front of me is all sorts of eye candy to motivate and inspire me. And a clock to make sure I don't run late if I should be somewhere else, LOL! The bucket on the table is where I keep my camera unless I am out and about, so it is ready to go for my 365 photos. On the front is my 365 checklist as another prompt.

The advantage of a compact space is, just about everything is in my reach/view! I have a TV/DVD set up so I can watch while I scrap - mostly it is listening! I keep all my albums handy, as the point is to scrap the memories to enjoy them!

Most of my tools and supplies are behind me, so I can swivel around in my chair and see evrything. I have raised my worktable to standing height using bed raisers - I have three bar stools to sit on and can stand when I scrap.

Thanks for visiting!

It arrived today, the annual special addition of my scrapping mag which features the 2010 Masters.

I love browsing through and checking out what new ideas and techniques may have been embraced by these clever scrappers.

Cup of tea, my new jammies and SM Masters - that's a good night in!
