Let me tell you a little love story. This dress and I was love at first sight. Heavy embellishments, stunning colors, short length and long embellished sleeves (that last part always seems to get me, I'm a big sucker for short dresses with long sleeves).

And when and where will I'll be wearing such a eye-catching dress, you ask? Well I think a dress like this is meant to shine so anywhere and anytime I can.

Not only do I love blogging myself I also love reading online fashion stuff by others. Other blogging girls keep me inspired and I just love watching other peoples style come to life that I think are similar to mine. The fact that these girls come from or travel to different parts of the globe makes it even more interesting for me. These blogs are my own personal favorites, the ones I check on a daily basis. Sit back, relax and click away.

Queen of jetlags: Fresh on my blogroll, but I just can't stay away anymore. Noor always wears fun outfits with a twist. And she travels the world which make the scenery in her outfit posts refreshing every time.

Maja Wyh: This girl is the queen of oversized layering. Sizing up and stacking up is her credo and boy does she make it look effortless every time again.

We heart fashion: These blogging sisters haven't been on my blogroll that long, but come on who doesn't love mixing prints, bold colors and stunning photography. And ever since I noticed a lot of their outfit shoots are made in Eindhoven (the city I live) I'm sold to this blog.

Chapter Friday (former This chick's got style): This girl is living not only her dream but those of a lot of other girls to, I bet. Working like crazy but doing the thing she loves most: blogging! She travels the world and lives in Amsterdam, has impeccable style and endless energy that pops of the screen.

Victoria Tornegren: This scandinavian chick probably has the most versatile ways of wearing black, white and denim, it never gets boring!

Sincerely Jules: every looks she wears I love. She gives me the best ideas on how to wear stripes different every time. Overall one of the most inspiring blogs I know.

THE one item that's not suppose to be missing in anyones closet, male or female, kid or adult. Every person should own at least one pair of sneakers. I know I love mine to death.

I mix them up with literally everything, from casual dressing to formal attire and from comfy outfits to chique dresses. My favorite way to wear my sneakers is with bare legs and a short skirt or dressy dress.

I was lucky to already check out the collection at their press event in February.

Another day in Amsterdam, business or pleasure? Unfortunately the first one. I had to go and do research for my thesis. But... as said before, I always love going to Amsterdam, so this trip wasn't all bad. And good for me, the beautiful weather allowed me to shoot a quick few snaps of my outfit that day.

See how happy I look in the fourth photo? It describes exactly the way I feel every time I visit Amsterdam. I love this city so damn much. I used to live here a few years back and I still miss it every day. The reason I left is simple, my sweet son Finn arrived. And being a young mother it was nice to have my own mom at a close distance, that's why I left my favorite city and moved back to Eindhoven. But let me tell you, every time I visit Amsterdam it makes me question my current place of residence. I wouldn't mind moving back, so maybe, who knows I will within a few years.

Bare leg season is opened: it feels like Spring

Finally, temperatures are rising and the sun is shining.

That means one thing and one thing only: bare leg season is officially opened!

And what better way to start off the good weather than by wearing cute little dresses like this one.

I'm always in for a good print and I totally fell for this combo of white and blue. Above all I love the shape of this dress, it's so playful it really complements the good Spring mood I'm in already the last few days.

At first I was thinking about wearing this dress with some more outstanding heels and wanted to add even more color to this look, but I ended up playing it safe and went for less is more. I think I made a good decision on that one. In this case safe is way more chic and I think the black leather biker jacket adds that little raw edge so the total look isn't too sweet.
