The Lion of Asia, Singapore (or Lions abode) is truly defying its name. It is famous for its corruption less governance. Its life is very much that of Western nature.

But it still holds with it the Asian, and more importantly an Indian nature. There are lot of migrant Indians living in Singapore and adding to that there are Tamil speaking population.

Time and Date, it rules us. We makes hell lot of decisons based on time and date. It has never stopped fascinated us. Centuries has gone by and our time craze rules us. We wake up on time, we do all our routine things on time (almost every one). The only time we break out of time is when we hang out with someone who you are fond of (I dont want to narrate some other times when you break out of time).

My friend photographer, Kannan runs his own studio "Arya" in Thirunellai. He has always been a strong reason for me to venture into photography. His advices were all timely, knowledge very good.

He is seen capturing images from the Radholsavam of Thirunellai on top of a ladder fixed in a three-wheeler. I intentionally avoided the vehicle to show the focus he might be getting from top of all.

It was festival time in our village, Thirunellai in Palakkad (Kerala, South India). Ladies in all houses draw geometric shapes using Rice Paste called Kolam. It is noteworthy that these are 200% environmentally friendly and act as a charity too. The small insects which otherwise left without food fed upon these.

Seen here is a young lady (my neighbour) playing with sunlight and insects that are having a feast upon the kolam.

Sachin Tendulkar, the once-in-a-generation Michael Jordan of cricket, has broken a lot of longstanding records. Now, he's becoming a publishing first as well. He's the first person whose autobiography comes with some of his blood.

The book is the Tendulkar Opus, published by Kraken Media, which makes a specialty of vertiginously high end books. Ten lucky readers can buy the Blood Edition, in which a drop of the cricketing icon's blood is mixed into the first page. Well, they could have, but all 10 of the $75,000 81.5-lb. books have been pre-ordered.

Why would anyone want such a thing? Tendulkar's fans are legion and obsessive. And not just in his home country of India. Most recently, he was the first person to ever score 200 runs in a one-day match, a feat nobody thought possible. He was also, ahem, one of the Time 100. But, still, bodily fluids?

"It is what it is – you will have Sachin's blood on the page," Kraken Media's chief executive Karl Fowler told the Guardian newspaper. "It's not everyone's cup of tea, it's not to everyone's taste and some may think it's a bit weird. But the key thing here is that Sachin Tendulkar to millions of people is a religious icon. And we thought how, in publishing form, can you get as close to your god as possible?"

For more squeamish or less well remunerated fans, the February 2010 release will be available in two cheaper editions, a hardback for a mere $3000 and a smaller edition for $300.
