The leading ladies of Descendants: Wicked Wonderland got back together on the carpet at 2026 Disney Upfronts!

Liamani Segura, Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker reunited for the event held on Tuesday (May 12) at Jacob Javit Center in New York City.

Kylie and Malia are reprising their roles as Red and Chloe, respectively, for the upcoming fifth Descendants movie, while Liamani joins the franchise as Pink, Red’s sister.

Here’s a synopsis for D5: Now that the Queen of Hearts (Rita Ora) is nice and Cinderella (Brandy) is safe, things seem perfect for Red (Cantrall) and Chloe (Baker)… little do they know that changing the past created a new villain: Maddox Hatter (Leonardo Nam). When Maddox captures the Queen of Hearts, Red and Chloe must work with Red’s new sister Pink (Segura), Luisa Madrigal’s son Luis (Alexandro Byrd), and Maddox’s son Max (Brendan Tremblay) to save her and Wonderland.

Liamani is also set to go on tour later this year as part of the updated Worlds Collide Tour, which will include more stars from the Descendants franchise, as well as from the upcoming Zombies 5 and Camp Rock 3.

Descendants: Wicked Wonderland is set to debut on Disney Channel and Disney+ later this year.

Also seen attending the Disney Upfronts were Percy Jackson and the Olympians stars Aryan Simhadri, Leah Sava Jeffries and Walker Scobell.

They promoted the upcoming third season of the Disney+ series, which is slated to debut later this year.

Hailing from HSMTMTS‘ Tim Federle, the upcoming supernatural series centers on “a trio of teenage witches-in-training who are bound by destiny to guard their city against dangerous, ancient forces. Between unraveling dark secrets, mastering volatile magic, and facing off against distractingly cute rivals, they must also navigate the heartbreaks and deep bonds that come with growing up.”

Filming on the series wrapped earlier this year and will debut on Disney+ later this year.

Mckenna Grace and Louis Partridge are starring in new romantic comedy together!

The 19-year-old actress and the 22-year-old actor have been cast in the upcoming revisionist movie The Official Mistress, according to Deadline.

Mckenna‘s Scooby-Doo co-star Paul Walter Hauser is also joining the film.

What is The Official Mistress about?

The new movie follows “King Louis XVI (Walter Hauser) – the last king of France – and his pursuit of Comtesse Madeleine de Vascone (Grace) as La Maîtresse-en-Titre aka the Official Mistress in order to quell suggestions of impotence by country and court — and the humble, lowly cook Rene Rennault (Partridge) who risks treason to become the King’s Taster in an attempt to save his first love, Madeleine.”

The film is reportedly described as a “female-oriented” project as “opulent, erotic, dangerous and wickedly fun,” which combines the tones of Wuthering Heights, Shakespeare in Love and Dangerous Liaisons.

Matt Brown will write and direct, with filming set for September in Europe.

For Scooby-Doo, Mckenna is starring as Daphne Blake, while Paul‘s role is currently unknown. Many are speculating he may be voicing Scooby.

What is the third movie about?

Who all is reprising their role?

In addition to Noah, Siena and Charlie, other cast members set to return include Drew Ray Tanner, Kolton Stewart, Sage Linder, Asia Lizardo and Jason Fernandes.

James Van Der Beek, who played Noah‘s father in the first two movies, will sadly, of course, not be returning as he passed away earlier this year.

Who is directing the third movie?

While Justin Wu helmed the first two movies, Michael Medico is taking over director duties for Sidelined 3.

Sidelined is based on the Wattpad novel “The QB Bad Boy and Me” by Tay Marley.

While the actor did end up starring in the show, he revealed in a new interview that he originally didn’t want to do it. He also shared that he auditioned for the Zombies movie, as well as the Avatar movies!

“I had kind of given up on the acting idea. I wasn’t really pursuing it. And then my sister’s friend from college messaged me on Facebook and said, ‘We’re casting this movie Zombies and I think that you might be a good fit for one of the roles.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, right. I don’t know. I’m going to film school, bro. Like, I’m not going to act.’ And then I went up for it. It didn’t end up working out, but the next day I had a call back for Avatar 2, 3, and 4,” Joshua shared on SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio.

“I didn’t book them, but it made me realize, ‘Oh, maybe I can do this.’ And so I went through very rigorous, like I had like over 200 auditions in a year and I was driving up to LA every day. And I was kind of just like seeing how this goes. I was like f-ck it,” he continued. “I was like, ‘Let’s just see where it leads.’ And so I didn’t necessarily, wasn’t shooting for Disney per se, but you know I ended up, you know, having pretty good luck with Disney and it ended up working out.”

Joshua then shared how he was going up for another TV series at the same time he was up for HSMTMTS.

“Funnily enough there was another show that I was up for when I was going up for High School Musical. I remember when I got the audition and I was like, ‘Oh god, like they’re going to ruin High School Musical.’ Like Disney loves to milk a franchise. I was like, ‘Oh god, they’re going to they’re going to ruin it. It’s a cash grab,'” he said. “And then there was this other show. I won’t say what network, but I was convinced it was like my thing. I was like, ‘This is a deep show.’ It’s like edgy and cool and I really wanted this show. I did not want High School Musical. They were going to screen test me and Disney found out. And so they said, ‘We’ll see you the next day.'”

“So they brought me in for a screen test the next day. Ended up booking High School Musical. And ironically, you know, High School Musical went on to be four seasons,” Joshua continued. “I won an Emmy. It ended up changing my whole life. And the show that I thought that I wanted on the cool network that was edgy barely had one season. It totally flopped. The reviews were terrible. You just, you don’t know what you want.”

Joshua was nominated for Outstanding Original Song for a Children’s or Young Teen Program two years in a row at the Children’s and Family Emmy Awards, and won the first time for “Finally Free” from season three.

More recently, Joshua returned to the musical world and starred as Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors on off-Broadway.

The 23-year-old singer and actress is set to drop the new LP this summer, and in a new Cosmopolitan cover feature, she dished on the new music and how writing it was different than her last two albums.

“We really edited the hell out of this album. There was so much more joy in the songwriting,” she told the mag. “There are some songs that are plain old sad but also some songs that are just plain old fun.”

“We didn’t have time for revisions on SOUR. The whole world was watching. I wrote and we just fucking recorded and put it out. Then with GUTS, I was under so much pressure, like, ‘Oh my god, I’m never going to be able to make another good song.’ It wasn’t even making music to make music. It was making music to please people or prove something,” she said about the songwriting process. “With this album, I actually was like, ‘I’m done with the sophomore one. Now I can have fun again.’ I was writing songs the way I did when I was 16, purely for fun. There were some beautiful moments, like, ‘Whoa, it’s flowing out,’ which feels like catching a butterfly in a net.”

Olivia also touched on whether she finds it harder to write about happiness and if it’s cringe to be happy or sad.

“It’s not hard to do when I’m sitting there by myself in my room, but it was never the stuff that I put out. Sometimes I listen back to it and I cringe….It’s cringier to be happy. I cringe, but I’m free,” the “Drop Dead” singer shared. “All of my favorite love songs have an element of sadness, and that’s what makes them so beautiful. A great love song has so much emotion behind it that it could go either way. I want to make love songs that you can cry to.”

Disney+ has picked up the new series from Rob Letterman and Hilary Winston, according to Deadline.

Steven Spielberg, who produced the 1995 movie, which starred Christina Ricci, is also on board as an executive producer, along with UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group.

Minimal details for the project are available, but it’s said to have a darker edge, like Wednesday, and is a modern version of the ghost story. It’s still in early development stages.

In addition to writing and executive producing with Hilary, Rob Letterman is also set to direct the project.

Back in 2022, UCP had a live-action Casper series in development at Peacock, but that series did not move forward.

The character of Casper the Friendly Ghost first appeared in a series of theatrical cartoons starting in 1945, and was also featured in comics from Harvey Comics in 1952, before they bought the character in 1959.

He has also been featured in several video games, TV shows and five animated and live-action films, including Casper Meets Wendy, starring Disney alum Hilary Duff as Wendy!

Should the new live-action series move forward, it will be the first project from UCP on Disney+, which has several projects on all other major streamers, including Netflix, Peacock, HBO Max, Apple TV and Hulu.

“Have you ever had a serious conversation about Austin & Ally coming back?” host Tommy DiDario asked.

“Yes, and I think we’d all be really open to it,” she replied. “I think it’s just it being the right project, like the right version. I think we would all love to do a movie. I think it just, we’re super open to it and of course we’ll see where it goes. I think we all just want to hang out again. And to hang out again and to get paid to hang out is kind of, we love that.”

“I think we all are [protective of what that would be]. I think we want to make sure it’s very true to the characters,” she continued. “But then, I think the challenge can also be our audience grew up with us. Our audience is in their 20s. They’re all older, they’re in their early to late 20s, but you also have kids who are just finding out about it and watching it now.”

“I think maybe the challenge would be figuring out how do we speak to all of those people and make sure it is true to the characters and true to the audience who loved and grew up with it,” Laura said.

“Raini [Rodriguez], Ross [Lynch], Calum [Worthy] and I will forever be just completely bonded for life because we had this beautiful, amazing experience that there’s challenges and it can be overwhelming, but we did it together,” she added. “They’re like family to me.”

Back in 2023, the Austin & Ally cast had their first in person reunion with all four in a number of years.

The Disney Channel series ran for four seasons, from 2011 to 2016, on Disney Channel. All episodes are currently available to stream on Disney+!

This season ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, but has yet to be announced for a fourth season.

In a new interview, Anna dished on the hopes for season four, as well as the possibility of the series being canceled before the characters graduate from KISS.

“I think I would love to do a season four and see them graduate and see what that end of the chapter looks like, because they’re at winter break now in their senior year,” she said on the Zach Sang Show. “But I do like how season three ends. I think it makes a lot of sense and I think it’s cool to see Kitty happy and in a relationship and looking forward to this next chapter, because she’s often always [motions franticly] and now she’s happy. I love seeing her not in turmoil.”

She also teased what she’d like to see in season four, even the possibility of moving some of the season to Kitty’s hometown of Portland and filming where they shot the To All the Boys movies.

“I think it would be so fun to see Minho in the Covey household. Like, I would love that. I think they’re headed to Portland at the end of the season. I think just the crazy otherworld type of scenario of just seeing Minho where the movies were shot, I think would be so special,” Anna said. “And like this is the couch Peter and Lara Jean sat on. Now, Kitty and Minho are sitting on it… Also just like Kitty’s always understanding Minho and his world, but he doesn’t get to see her world. He sees the world she built around him and the world that she built when she got t o Korea, but not her roots, and I think there’s something very intimate about showing someone your hometown and where your elementary school is and all that kind of stuff. So, I think that’d be very special.”

Anna also spoke to the possibility of Netflix not renewing the show for a fourth season, likening that potential to graduating high school during COVID.

“I’ve never thought about that as a decision because it’s not my decision. I could have to say goodbye to Kitty tomorrow if we get told we don’t get a season four,” she candidly shared. “Or I could be told that we have multiple more seasons and I got to keep finding a way to want to be with her. So, it’s not up to me. I don’t really think about when it’s like time because it’s not in my control.”

“But I think if I don’t get a season four, I will have a hard time of like, I was a COVID grad and I never got to have my high school end the way that I expected. And it would feel like that,” she added. “Like it’ll feel like the plug just got pulled randomly and now you don’t get graduation. You don’t get to say goodbye. You don’t get the last time walking through the hallways and feeling nostalgic that like this is where you spent five years of your life. Like that’s how high school felt. And I very much compared that in my mind of like if we don’t get to season four, I think it’ll be like that..

“I didn’t know we had to say good bye. I never got to tie the bow and the ribbon and like write my little love letter to her. It’s like it just all of a sudden, she disappears? That’s crazy. But also like I get it,” Anna continued. “It’s been so many years of my life. I think that I don’t know what’s going to happen. And I think everything, there’s reasons for whatever, whatever does end up happening. I respect and understand it. I think there’s a lot of a lot that goes on behind the scenes that people don’t realize of what goes into those decisions. But it is it isn’t something I really consider of like when it’s time ’cause I’m told when that time is and I just have to kind of make it work for me.”

Millie Bobby Brown and Louis Partridge are reprising their roles in the new movie, which is slated to premiere on Netflix this summer.

Here’s a synopsis: Adventure chases detective Enola Holmes to Malta, where personal and professional dreams collide on a case more tangled and treacherous than any she has faced before.

Also returning for the third installment are Himesh Patel, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Susan Wokoma, Henry Cavill and Helena Bonham Carter.

“What I love about this chapter is that Enola is stepping into a version of herself that feels much more defined but still evolving,” Millie shared in a statement with Tudum. “She’s built something for herself, which is amazing, but she’s also questioning what she wants next, and I think that’s something so many people can relate to.”

Millie‘s husband Jake Bongiovi is also serving as an executive producer, and her dad, Robert Brown, is a producer as well!

Enola Holmes 3 is set to premiere on July 1st on Netflix, less than three years after it was first announced to be in development.

Sunrise on the Reaping revisits the world of Panem 24 years before the events of The Hunger Games, starting on the morning of the reaping of the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell.

The movie follows a young Haymitch Abernathy (Joseph Zada), in a role made famous by Woody Harrelson in the original movies. Gossip Girl‘s Whitney Peak plays his love interest, Lenore Dove Baird. If you don’t know, Haymitch ends up winning the games!

Directed once again by Francis Lawrence, the new movie features a star-studded cast, which also includes Jesse Plemons, Ralph Fiennes, Glenn Close, Kieran Culkin, Elle Fanning, Mckenna Grace, Maya Hawke and Kelvin Harrison Jr.

“Back where it all began with a cast and crew that I will always call family – excited for you all to see Mason again,” Gregg shared on Instagram along with the news, and a first look photo of him back on set.

It was speculated that Gregg would reprise his role in season one after he visited the set, but David Henrie confirmed that he was only visiting.

Earlier this month, it was announced that Wizards Beyond would be coming to an end with a four-part finale event, which is set to air on Disney+ and Disney Channel later this year.

Selena Gomez will step into the director’s chair for the first time with the premiere episode, as well as appearing on screen and serving as executive producer.

This week, David confirmed that they were back on set to film the final episodes.

“Landed back in LA for Season 3 @disneywizardsseries, episode 1 in the can! My hope is that our finale season ends the way the original show began, with family values and Russos having each other’s backs! It’s been an honor serving you all with this show ??,” he shared on Instagram this week, along with photos from set.

“I knew I was searching for a sound I just couldn’t find in LA, so I flew to Atlanta to lock in with my dream producer Tricky Stewart. I told Tricky, ‘“’I want to write a song called Carrie Bradshaw,’”’ and I remember my co-writer Tayla Parx saying, ‘This ain’t an easy concept but If you can pull this off, it’s going to be epic,'” Kylie shared in a statement. “I never felt connected to a character more than Carrie Bradshaw, and this last year has been full of emotional rollercoasters, but this song gave me the chance to pour all those feelings out.”

During a recent interview, Milo shared how he prepared himself to not get the role and how he reacted at the end of the day after his casting was announced.

“I spent all my time preparing myself to get the call that I didn’t book it,” he told VMAN. “Anytime you get any role in this industry, it needs to be a perfect storm of timing, of people rooting for you, and of you matching enough people’s visions of the character.”

He even recalled seeing the original animated movie in theaters when it first came out in 2010.

“I actually remember going to see it in theaters with my cousin, Noah. I was nine years old,” he said with a grin. “I just didn’t think that it would ever be a perfect storm for something this important to me, and it was. I’m still pinching myself.”

Previously, he revealed he only learned he booked the role right before the announcement was made.

“I woke up that morning just being like, ‘Here comes another day of convincing myself I didn’t get this role.’ When I [did], my skin literally was tingling,” Milo shared. “My body was rushing with so much serotonin, dopamine, and endorphins that I almost looked like I wasn’t feeling any emotion at all, like I was blank- faced for the whole day. It wasn’t until the end of the day when I hung up my last phone call, and crumbled into a ball and cried on the floor.”

Milo is set to head to Spain to film the new movie, alongside Teagan Croft as Rapunzel and Kathryn Hahn as Mother Gothel. He notes there are big shoes to fill with the character, but also wants to make it his own.

“I think that is what scares me a little bit, finding the balance of making it my own while also honoring the iconic character he is,” he dished, adding with a cheeky smirk, “But obviously, I’m not a cartoon, so I’m going to have to make it a little bit different.”

The “Gnarly” girl group just released their new song “Pinky Up,” which does not feature group member Manon in the visual after the announcement of her hiatus.

Now, fans are concerned that she’s not coming back to the group.

The song was written by Justin Tranter, and just dropped right before their highly anticipated 2026 Coachella performance. It also follows their January single “Internet Girl.”

“Pinky Up” was first teased earlier this year with a tea party-themed rollout inspired by old school etiquette and tea drinking culture. The title is a reference to the playful stereotype of raising your pinky finger while drinking tea, a gesture associated with fancy mannerisms and elegance.

“Us against the world / Shaking a– in the?parking?lot,” they declare.

Netflix confirmed on Thursday (April 9) that the following actors have joined the show as guest stars: Game of Thrones‘ Lena Headey, St. Elmo’s Fire‘s Andrew McCarthy and Ted Lasso‘s James Lance will all appear in the new season.

We don’t yet have a confirmed release date for the new episodes, nor do we know anything about the plot.

If you don’t know, season two debuted last year and quickly became the #5 most watched English language series of all time on the streaming service, following the record-breaking success of season 1 of the global hit series. By the way, if you did not know, season one is the most watched English-language series of all time on Netflix!

The romantic comedy is hitting theaters this weekend and Halle stepped out on the red carpet for the film’s premiere on Wednesday (April 8) at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City.

Halle was joined at the premiere by her co-star Rege-Jean Page, along with some of the film’s supporting cast.

The movie stars Halle as a cook named Anna who goes to stay in a Tuscan villa owned by a man she barely knows. While there, she meets the homeowner’s handsome cousin Michael, played by Rege (best known for the series Bridgerton).
