The Disney Channel movie franchise returns with a third installment, featuring a new, young cast of some familiar Disney faces, as well as newcomers.

What is Camp Rock 3 about?

The story picks up when Connect 3 lose their opening act for a major reunion tour, returning to their beloved Camp Rock to discover the next big thing. As campers vie for the chance to open for their favorite band, tensions rise and friendships are tested, leading to unexpected alliances, revelations and romances.

“Camp Rock is an important part of the Disney Channel Original Movie legacy, with unforgettable music, energetic storytelling, and characters that live in the hearts of fans to this day,” Ayo Davis, Chairman of Disney Entertainment Television, previously shared in a statement.

Who stars in Camp Rock 3?

The cast includes Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton, Lumi Pollack, Sherry Cola, Hudson Stone, Casey Trotter, Brooklynn Pitts, and Ava Jean.

Reprising their roles are Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, Kevin Jonas and Maria Canals-Barrera.

The movie was directed by Veronica Rodriguez and written by Eydie Faye, featuring choreography by Jamal Sims. The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato are among the executive producers.

Camp Rock 3 is set to debut on August 13th at 8 pm ET/PT on Disney Channel, and streaming next day on Disney+!

The 19-year-old actor and the 20-year-old actress stepped out for a celebrity party hosted by Raising Cane’s owner and founder Todd Graves on Sunday (July 19) at Sartiano’s in the city.

For their outing at the pre-World Cup party, Mason wore a black shirt, tan pants, and a black ball cap.

Mckenna donned a Miu Miu eyelet poplin top with a matching skirt.

The night before, Mckenna and Mason were seen attending another Raising Cane’s party, held at Zero Bond.

While Mckenna was pictured laughing while speaking with Todd Graves, Mason was standing right next to her, where you could just see the same hat he wore the next day.

If you didn’t know, the young actress is no stranger to Raising Cane’s.

Back in May, Mckenna joined the restaurant brand at the Miami Grand Prix in Florida!

Last month, Mason joined Mckenna in Atlanta, where she’s filming the upcoming live-action Scooby-Doo: Origins series, where he celebrated her birthday on an aquarium date alongside her parents.

She also recently celebrated his birthday with a cute TikTok video, where they can be heard singing an acoustic cover of Olivia Rodrigo‘s “honeybee.”

The 19-year-old Descendants: Wicked Wonderland star will not be hitting the road later this year with her co-stars for the 2026 fall tour.

In a new interview, Malia revealed the reason why she’s not a part of this year’s tour, and confirmed that it’s NOT because she wasn’t asked.

Malia was invited but chose not to go on tour this year

“I got the invite,” she said on the Zach Sang Show before joking, “They didn’t like me on the last one.”

“No, I did. It was just, I didn’t feel like it was… it didn’t fit,” Malia added. “I never wanted to be a pop star or a singer. I feel very grateful that this life has led me to those opportunities, to even experience what that would be like for a millisecond.”

She went on to explain that she would rather be on set than on tour.

“I was like, ‘Wait, remember. You really like sets,'” she said.

While she won’t be on stage, she seemingly has plans to attend to cheer on her friends/co-stars, and experience it from the audience’s perspective.

“I’m really excited to cheer them on because they work so incredibly hard on these things,” she said.

During the interview, Malia recalled her own experience on the tour last year.

What Malia said about touring in 2025

“We went from shooting the last Descendants, Wicked Wonderland, straight into working on the tour,” she said. “I remember within like a two-day turnaround I was in LA doing rehearsals in Burbank, and I was like, ‘I just did this song. I can’t remember what to do.’ And like the songs are the same from the movie, so the choreography is different. So your brain just goes through a whole whirlwind. Um, and then yeah, learning like the Zombies songs and learning the OG Descendants songs was so wild and so cool.”

“I don’t think I would have ever, singing was never like my all-time dream,” Malia added. “To just be able to have that experience with the people involved in particular, I think, was life-changing and a moment that I’ll never forget, just because it is so, that’s not an everyday thing at all. I don’t take it lightly.”

On Thursday (July 16), it was announced that the trio is among the young talent cast in the pilot for a The Mickey Mouse Club revival at Disney+, according to Deadline.

They join eight more cast members, which also includes another Disney star, Elio voice actor, Yonas Kibreab!

What is The Mickey Mouse Club about?

Per Deadline, the upcoming variety show revival will be a “showcase for today’s most talented young performers, where music, innovation, and self-expression take center stage.”

Fulwell Productions, the company that produces The Kardashians on Hulu, is behind the reboot, with the company’s co-founder Ben Winston serving as executive producer.

Who else stars in the reboot pilot?

Joining the cast with the aforementioned stars are Erianthe Akaata, Scarlett London Diviney, Michael Cash, Varonica Mitchell, Kauani, Scarlett Grace Petty, and Carter Barnes.

In addition, Hudson recently released his debut single “Overthinker” after signing a record deal with Disney’s Hollywood Records.

What is the history of The Mickey Mouse Club?

The Mickey Mouse Club was first created by Walt Disney himself, with the first TV series debuting in 1955 and running through 1959. It then had a revival from 1977 to 1979, and once again from 1989 to 1996, featuring many stars you know today – Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Keri Russell, Christina Aguilera, Ryan Gosling, JC Chasez, Nikki DeLoach, and more.

In 2017, Disney brought it back again as Club Mickey Mouse, acting more like a reality show than a variety program, running for seven weeks. XO, Kitty star Regan Aliyah was in that cast.

Kiara Romero, Alexandro Byrd, and Liamani Segura are among the new additions to the cast for Disney’s fifth installment in the Descendants franchise.

Ahead of the movie’s premiere this week, Just Jared Jr caught up with the trio to get the scoop on joining the franchise, their favorite set from the movie, what they hope fans take away from the film, and more!

What was it like joining such an established franchise? Did you have reservations, nerves, or was it just pure excitement?

“All of those feelings,” Alexandro shared with us. “Every single one of those emotions balled up into one. I mean, all of us felt very honored and blessed to be a part of it. But you know, just like the first day of school, you know, first day, it’s nerve-wracking. You don’t know what you’re getting into. You don’t know if, you know, I remember being nervous.”

“I was like, Oh, I hope Kylie [Cantrall] and Malia [Baker] are nice,” he added. “You just don’t know what to expect. But it was flawless. It was so great. And they led the way wonderfully.”

Kiara and Liamani agreed with his sentiments.

The set is so detailed and full of life. What was it like walking onto the set for the first time?

“Oh my goodness. I remember walking on set for ‘Dancing with the Enemy’ and seeing the chessboard for the first time,” Liamani dished. “‘Cause we went in for rehearsals to rehearse and mark the dance before we went to film. But I remember looking at it and everything was life-size, like the grass, like the picnic table. It was practical. Everything was real.”

“The board lit up,” Kiara added.

“The fact that we were able to actually touch and feel and not like, cause you know, we had to use our imagination, but not that much because everything was already there for us, so it was crazy,” Liamani added.

“Yeah, it was incredible. Just the scale of everything. That’s so cool to see in person,” Kiara said. “And also filming at the actual Auradon Prep. That was also crazy.”

What do you hope fans take away from this latest installment?

“I think the power of friendship is such a big theme in this movie,” Liamani tells JJJ. “Just being there for the people that you really love. I think in this movie, Pink has her ride or dies, you know, she really met all her big brothers and sisters, and it’s such a big theme of we’re in this together, and we’re going to figure this out together.” Figure it out, figure it out together.”

“I think it’s such a big theme and I think the power of friendship is so powerful and also sisterhood. Literally sisterhood. Like me and Red, I think that’s also a really big theme. That’s really sweet,” she added.

Can you describe the movie in three words?

“Oooh…” Kiara says as they all share a laugh.

Alexandro says, “Adventure, dance, and fire?”

“No, dance!” Liamani agrees.

“Oh, there was one, I just lost it… Come on, folks, come on folks, give me a third one, let’s go,” Alexandro puzzles.

“Empowering! There we go, that’s a good one,” he adds as the ladies agree. “Yeah, we locked in right here.”

You’re all going on tour later this year. How excited are you to bring the movie that you spent so much time working on to life and in front of fans?

“It’s just so insane,” Kiara says with excitement. “I can’t wait to perform these songs live and hopefully people will know the lyrics and, you know, to see little Hazel dolls. It’s just such an honor and it’s such a blessing. I can’t believe we get to go to Europe next year. It’s just going to be such an incredible experience. I’m so excited.”

Alexandro added that he can’t wait to see people dressed up as their characters.

“No, it really is just such an honor, and it’s such a blessing to be able to go to all these cities and share the joy that we have for these songs, for these franchises,” Kiara continues. “I’ve grown up dancing and singing, so I’m just excited to do this every night with my best friends. It’s going to be crazy.” All right.”

“Yeah!” Liamani adds, with Alexandro exclaiming, “Let’s go!”

The trailer teases what’s to come in the final episodes, with Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown) trying to find and save her mom, Alex Russo (Gomez), after she sacrificed herself in the season two finale.

What is Wizards Beyond Waverly Place season 3 about?

Billie, still reeling from losing Alex at the end of Season 2, discovers that the only way to rescue her mother is to reunite with her long-lost father. As her family bands together to find Alex, Billie realizes that their combined power is the only way the Russos can defeat the evil plaguing them.

When does the final season premiere?

The 4-part finale event begins Tuesday, August 4th on Disney Channel, with a marathon starting at 8 pm ET/PT. The episodes will then be available to stream on Disney+ on Wednesday, August 5th.

Who stars in Wizards Beyond?

Reprising their roles include David Henrie (as Justin Russo), Janice LeAnn Brown (as Billie), Alkaio Thiele (as Roman Russo), Max Matenko (as Milo Russo), Taylor Cora (as Winter) and Mimi Gianopulos (as Giada Russo).

The 22-year-old was joined by his best friend, Dylan Mulvaney, at the big event to celebrate his upcoming new movie, which premieres on Netflix this week!

Joe looked handsome in a gray-striped suit from Thom Browne, while Dylan stepped out in a sequined-flower minidress with a blue-striped blouse and tights embroidered with dogs and sequins.

The BFFs are often seen supporting each other for their various projects. In June, Joe went to New York City to support Dylan at a performance of her Broadway show SIX.

He shared photos and videos from his trip on Instagram, with the first pic of them at the show, where he wore a shirt reading, “Tranne Boleyn’s BFF,” referencing her character Anne Boleyn.

At the Heartstopper Forever premiere, Joe also posed for photos with co-star Kit Connor and creator Alice Oseman.

One of the new songs is the previously released “One Beat Away,” performed by Liamani Segura, which was previewed in the latest teaser trailer before being released in full. However, Disney also just dropped the full music video.

The Jonas Brothers will also be featured on the soundtrack with one new song, “Come On Over,” as well as on a remake of “We Rock,” which serves as the finale number in the first movie.

After months of rumors, The Cheetah Girls 4 has been confirmed, and Disney stars Leah Sava Jeffries and Carmen Sanchez are set to star.

The Percy Jackson and Electric Bloom stars are two of six new additions joining the franchise, which will also see the return of most of the OG Cheetah Girls.

What is The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen about?

The story picks up when Cheetah Girls Galleria and Chanel, alongside Galleria’s daughter Faith and her three friends, travel to Africa to volunteer at a wildlife sanctuary. Along the way, these four teen girls test their friendship, find their voice, and discover the true Cheetah spirit as they save the preserve and ultimately take the stage as the new Cheetah Girls.

OG star Raven-Symoné is set to executive produce alongside the first three movies’ executive producer Debra Martin Chase.

Bille Woodruff has been tapped to direct, with a script by Kara Holden, Sarah Watson, and Deborah Swisher. In addition, famed choreographer Kyle Hanagami (Mean Girls) will choreograph!

Raven-Symoné and Adrienne Bailon will reprise their roles as Galleria and Chanel, respectively, while Sabrina Bryan also returns as Dorinda in a special appearance. Kiely Williams, who played Aqua, is not set to return.

Production on the music-driven movie is starting this month in South Africa.

It was recently announced that the streamer has ordered a pilot for a new adaptation of the novel series by Max Brallier, according to The Wrap.

Disney+ ordered a pilot from The Vampire Diaries, Gotham Knights, and Batwoman executive producers Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux, who are set to write, executive produce, and showrun.

Kevin Tancharoen has been tapped to direct and executive produce the pilot.

What is The Last Kids on Earth about?

The graphic novel series consists of 10 books and five standalone sequels.

The pilot ordered will “a mismatched group of teens, led by 13-year-old Jack Sullivan, as they band together to defend themselves when monsters overrun their sleepy town of Wakefield.”

Here’s the book synopsis:

Ever since the monster apocalypse hit town, average thirteen year old Jack Sullivan has been living in his tree house, which he’s armed to the teeth with catapults and a moat, not to mention video games and an endless supply of Oreos and Mountain Dew scavenged from abandoned stores. Have there been any other adaptations of “The Last Kids on Earth”?

Yes! Netflix released three seasons of an animated adaptation, which covered the first three books, one per season, as well as a special. The series debuted in September 2019, and the special dropped in April 2021.

In case you missed it, Disney+ recently ordered another TV pilot, based on a very popular early 2000s movie!

Director Thomas Kail and executive producer Auli’i Cravalho join stars Catherine Laga’aia and Dwayne Johnson for a photo call and fan event in London on Tuesday (June 30) in England.

The group continued the global celebration of the live-action adaptation of the hit animated movie musical.

This is just the latest stop on the global press tour, leading up to the film’s theatrical release on July 10th.

In London, they could be seen posing with a 20-foot-tall replica of Maui’s fishhook. The vent also featured an array of dance, drum and vocal performances that included renditions of the beloved Moana songs.

The week before, Thomas, Catherine and Dwayne hit up the blue carpet for a fan event on Thursday (June 25), followed by a visit to Bondi Beach for a photo call in Sydney on Friday (June 26).

If you didn’t know, the Sydney events were much closer to home for Catherine, who is originally from New Zealand!

A few days earlier, Dwayne kicked off the global press tour solo with a visit in Shanghai, China.

Recently, the final trailer was released, which you can watch above!

Disney also unveiled the brand new song “Along the Way” from the soundtrack, which is performed by Catherine and Dwayne, as well as original Moana voice star Auli’i Cravalho. Check it out here!

The song was written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who penned the hit songs from the animated movie.

The 17-year-old actress and singer performs “One Beat Away” in the new look at the upcoming third installment in the Camp Rock franchise.

This is just one of the new songs from the movie musical, and past Camp Rock songs will also be revisited, which is hinted at in the new teaser trailer when Liamani‘s character uncovers a notebook that says “Mitchie’s Songs” on it. This is, of course, in reference to Demi Lovato‘s character from the first two movies.

What is Camp Rock 3 about?

When Connect 3 loses their opening act for a major reunion tour, they return to their beloved Camp Rock to discover the next big thing. As campers vie for the chance to open for their favorite band, tensions rise and friendships are tested – leading to unexpected alliances, revelations, and romances.

Who stars in Camp Rock 3?

Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas reprise their roles, along with Maria Canals-Barrera. Joining the cast are Disney stars Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton and Lumi Pollack, as well as Sherry Cola, Hudson Stone, Casey Trotter, Brooklynn Pitts and Ava Jean.

Descendants: Wicked Wonderland is debuting in just a few weeks, and there’s a new villain shaking things up after Red (Kylie Cantrall) and Chloe (Malia Baker) altered the fabric of time in The Rise of Red.

What is Descendants: Wicked Wonderland about?

Now that the Queen of Hearts is nice and Cinderella is safe, things seem perfect for Red and Chloe … but little do they know that changing the past created a new villain: Maddox Hatter. When Maddox captures the Queen of Hearts, Red and Chloe must work with Red’s new sister Pink, Luisa Madrigal’s son Luis, Captain Hook’s daughter Hazel, and Maddox’s son Max to save her and Wonderland.

In addition to Kylie and Malia, other stars reprising their roles include Leonardo Nam (Maddox Hatter), Melanie Paxson (Fairy Godmother), Paolo Montalban (King Charming), Rita Ora (the Queen of Hearts) and Brandy (Cinderella).

Peyton Elizabeth Lee and Alex Aiono reunited on Sunday (June 28) while attending the Minions & Monsters premiere at Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

Their reunion comes nearly three years after their Disney+ series Doogie Kamealoha, MD was canceled after just two seasons.

The second season of the series debuted in February 2023 and was announced to be ending in August.

Doogie Kamealoha, MD centered on Lahela “Doogie” Kamealoha (Lee), a 16-year-old prodigy juggling a budding medical career and life as a teenager. With the support of her caring and comical ‘ohana (family) and friends, Lahela is determined to make the most of her teenage years and forge her own path.

Guiding Lahela (and also complicating things) is her career-driven mother Dr. Clara Hannon who’s also her supervisor at the hospital, her doting father Benny (Jason Scott Lee) who helps keep her connected to what matters most, her free-spirited older brother Kai (Matt Sato), her gregarious younger brother Brian Patrick (Wes Tian), her best friend Steph (Emma Meisel), her surfer crush Walter (Aiono) and her fellow hospital colleagues, Dr. Lee (Ronny Chieng), Charles (Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman) and Noelani (Mapuana Makia).

After Doogie Kamealoha, MD, Peyton has gone on to star in such movies as Carved, Pizza Movie and Brian. She’s next set to star in the upcoming animated movie Wildwood, which is set to debut in theaters on October 23rd.

Peyton was also recently announced to star in the upcoming comedy Second First Date, which will reunite her with American High, with whom she worked on Pizza Movie. She will also serve as a producer.

Per Deadline, the movie follows “Nora (Lee), a romantically jaded high-schooler who unexpectedly falls for the guy of her dreams, Charlie, at an anarchic, unforgettable house party. When Charlie accidentally concusses himself and forgets their whole night together, Nora enlists the help of best friend and party animal Hailey to painstakingly recreate the same bash, beat by unhinged beat, to win him over again.”

Following Doogie, Alex has starred in the movies See You on Venus and Beautiful Wedding. He also starred in the TV shows Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin and Rescue: HI-Surf.

Coming up, Alex is set to star in the vampire thriller movie Young Blood, which follows “three college best friends head to Key Largo for spring break ever … until they end up stranded on a deserted island being hunted by starved, bloodthirsty vampires,” according to Deadline.

Donkey, centering on the sidekick voiced by Eddie Murphy, is getting his own prequel movie, and the release date has been revealed.

Universal and Dreamworks have confirmed the movie is currently slated to hit theaters on June 30, 2028, according to Variety.

What the movie will be about

Donkey is set to be an origin story of how a donkey became THE Donkey.

News of the spinoff was first revealed back in 2023 after Eddie Murphy shared comments about wanting his character to have his own movie.

“If [DreamWorks] ever came with another ‘Shrek,’ I’d do it in two seconds. I love Donkey. They did ‘Puss in Boots’ movies. I was like, ‘They should have done a Donkey movie.’ Donkey is funnier than Puss in Boots. I mean, I love Puss in Boots, but he ain’t funny as the Donkey,” he said back in January 2023.

Earlier this month, a new teaser trailer for the upcoming Shrek 5 was released, featuring a lot of Donkey!

The Shrek franchise first debuted in 2001, and has had four, going on five, movies, as well as two Puss in Boots spinoff movies and a TV series, and several short films.

The young, rising star just dropped “Overthinker” on Wednesday (June 24), after signing a record deal with Hollywood Records earlier this year.

“I wrote ‘Overthinker’ because all my life, I’ve been told that I’m such a deep thinker, which is very true, but it tends to lead to overthinking, which can sometimes get in my way. Falling in love, people tend to overthink because they care so deeply about it. When I fell in love, it was the first time I just didn’t think, and my heart took over. So, this song is a reminder to people that love is all about diving in with your whole heart.” – Hudson Stone

Inspired by artists including Dominic Fike, John Mayer, The Strokes, and Leon Bridges, Hudson has developed a sound that blends guitar-driven indie rock with soulful storytelling and modern pop influences.

To celebrate the release, Hudson sat down with Just Jared Jr for a quick-fire Q&A, where he opened up about family, the last song he listened to, what his phone lock screen is and much more!

Hudson shared the most Australian thing about his dad, renowned chef Curtis Stone, which he said, “He’s very, very not afraid of spiders, and not afraid to whack spiders. Good size spiders, just with the back of his hand.”

He also shared the most Korean thing his mom, actress Lindsay Price, does.

“Like my grandmother, she worries,” he said with a laugh.

In a new feature for Seventeen‘s “Every Fandom Has Its Favorite” digital cover story, Kylie dished on the franchise’s fandom, OG fans watching the new version of Descendants, and even who her character’s dad is.

On knowing a secret detail about Red’s backstory

“Disney actually brought me in for a secret meeting to explain who Red’s father is, and it completely blew my mind. I promised I’d never reveal it, but let’s just say…it ties into the franchise in a really unexpected way. Tea.”

On stepping into a huge fandom

“I read the script before auditioning, so I already knew fans would connect with it. I was the perfect age when the first movie came out—I was 8, and I completely fell in love with the idea that we’d be bringing it back for a new generation, but along with that, I definitely understood the responsibility I’d have to take on pushing forward such a beloved franchise.”

On if she’s read fan comments before the movie was released

“Of course—it’s so hard not to. My friends and family were even sending me links like, ‘Kylie Jenner in her PJs singing ‘Red’ with Stormi!’ and I was like…okay, yeah, super casual. I was freaking out.”

Hexed synopsis revealed

Shrek, Fiona and Donkey are coming back to movie screens in 2027 for the next installment in the hit franchise, and we finally have more of a look at what’s to come.

Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz and Eddie Murphy are reprising their voice roles in the movie, with Zendaya, Marcello Hernandez and Skyler Gisondo joining as the voices of Shrek and Fiona’s children, Felicia, Fergus and Farkle.

“Once upon a time, a hideous ogre and a delusional donkey embarked on a journey to the magical city of Further Further Away,” the narrator says at the start of the clip.

Donkey excitedly interrupts, saying, “Oh my god, it’s happening. It’s really happening. Do you know what that means? I need a makeover. Get my arms yolked in my backjack, my ass added. Maybe even tighten up my bodon.”

Shrek responds, “No, definitely not.”

Shrek 5 was confirmed to be in the works in April 2023, and it will finally hit theaters on June 30, 2027!

While Zendaya‘s Felicia is not included in the new teaser trailer, you can see a first look at her character from early 2025!

Kit Connor, Joe Locke and the whole gang is back for the upcoming final movie to wrap up the story of their characters.

In the trailer, we also hear Olivia Rodrigo‘s “Stupid Song,” marking the first ever use of the new track from her recently released album you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love. If you recall, Joe and Olivia are actually really good friends, and the track is also inspired by a book!

What Heartstopper Forever is about

Nick and Charlie are inseparable, but with Nick preparing to leave for university and Charlie finding new independence at school, the reality of a long-distance relationship begins to weigh on them. Doubts take hold, and their relationship faces its biggest challenge yet. Meanwhile, their friends are also navigating the ups and downs of love and friendship, confronting the bittersweet challenges of growing up and moving on. Can first loves really last forever?

Road to Healing was created by Maxwell and Clare, and comes from their production banner MAD in Hollywood, which was founded by them with their mom Erin Acee Donovan, and the late Cameron Boyce’s mom Libby and sister Maya.

What is Road to Healing about?

The short form comedy follows a group of driving instructors navigating the chaos of their students’ lives while trying to manage their own.

Also starring includes Kyle Secor, Raphael Luce, Ashley Aufderheide, Callan Farris and Matisha Baldwin.

“Road to Healing was born out of the absurdity of driving instructors putting their lives in the hands of strangers learning to drive. The result is a relatable and unhinged comedy full of flawed characters, unexpected heart and complete chaos,” Maxwell and Clare shared in a statement.

“Road to Healing was so much fun to make. It is the first project for MAD in Hollywood Productions, a partnership between two entertainment families. In addition to an amazing cast and crew, we had a fully sustainable set and only generated one bag of trash to show it CAN be done by this industry,” Libby Boyce and Erin Acee Donovan add.

The new series also marks the directorial debut of Maxwell, and features eight, five to seven minute long episodes, which are all currently available to watch on the Road to Healing YouTube channel.

Spoilers ahead for Every Year After season 1, episode 8

Showrunner Amy B. Harris chatted with TheWrap about the cliffhanger at the end of the season that left the door open for reconciliation between Sam and Percy after overcoming some serious drama earlier in the show.

By the end of the episode and a time skip, it looked like they might be on their way to getting back together.

Harris said she hopes fans see him returning to the Tavern at the end as “a happy ending for Sam and Percy, or the possibility of a happy ending,” but adds that “happy endings are just the beginning — they have a lot of work to do to be a couple.”

“Time has passed — they’re not the same people that they were when they were 18, and even though they’re in love with each other, they have to learn a lot about each other now and who they are as adults,” Harris told TheWrap. “In the writers’ room, I always would say, ‘It’s not a matter of will-they-won’t-they now; it’s how will they?’ I don’t think it’s fully resolved yet although I think they want it to work.”
