The 14-year-old Camp Rock 3 star dropped the new song on Thursday (September 24), just one day before he heads out on the Worlds Collide Tour.

Speaking of which, Hudson will give the first live performance of “Talk” at the opening night of the tour on Friday (September 25) at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, Calif., complete with a guitar solo and a surprise reveal!

The rising young star wrote the song alongside Josh Varnadove, Coleton Rubin, and Simon Oscroft.

“‘Talk’ is about knowing that you love someone so much that you sometimes overlook the most beautiful and most important part of a relationship, the ability to communicate. At the time I wrote this song, I was in a relationship that was complicated. I felt like no matter how much I put in energetically and how hard I loved, it got lost in emotional static. I’ve heard men and women historically speak different languages by nature and I’m learning that may be really true. Some important values were not met. But sometimes it’s also that when you are just trying to be heard the listening part doesn’t work great. Or, sometimes you just don’t want to hear what’s actually being said. Or not said. Love is confusing.” – Hudson Stone

The 23-year-old Canadian singer has been cast as a new series regular in the Netflix ice-skating series, Finding Her Edge.

Johnny joins the cast as the “charismatic local” Jesse, according to Teen Vogue.

What is Finding Her Edge about?

The series follows the three Russo sisters, heirs to a struggling figure skating dynasty. As middle sister, seventeen-year-old Adriana trains for the World Championships with new partner Brayden, while still harbouring feelings for her first love and former partner, Freddie. Her life becomes complicated when she and Brayden pretend to be a couple off the ice so they can land a sponsorship to keep the financially struggling Russo rink afloat.

Johnny joins previously announced returning stars Madelyn Keys, Olly Atkins, and Cale Ambrozic in the series, which is based on the book of the same name by Jennifer Iacopelli.

Production on season two is now underway in Southern Ontario. A release date has not been revealed at this time.

“The world fell in love with our figure skaters in Season 1, and it’s a privilege to be able to continue their character arcs as they swap Russo Rink for Voltage Skating Academy with new loves, new rivalries, and new competitions,” showrunner and executive producer Jeff Norton teased with Tudum. “Get ready for a seriously swoonworthy, soapy romantic rollercoaster as Adriana Russo (Keys) navigates life after winning Worlds.”

Paramount+ debuted two cast photos this past week, announcing that the upcoming for fourth season is now in production.

“back to school already? #schoolspirits season 4 is now in production,” the School Spirits Instagram account captioned the pics.

Noticeably missing was Milo Manheim, who commented, “Sorry I forgot to switch out of my ghost form for this photo.”

Is Milo Manheim returning for School Spirits season four?

Milo‘s comment on the Instagram post eases some fans’ minds about his return, while others commented on the pic asking where he was and wondering if he’ll even be returning at all.

At the time of this post, it is not officially confirmed whether Milo will reprise his role as Wally Clark. The character is “a lovable ghost from the 1980s who in his glory days was a star high school football player,” according to Deadline.

Milo has been in Spain for the past few months, where he’s filming the upcoming live-action adaptation of Disney’s hit animated musical Tangled. He will play the male lead, Flynn Rider.

This isn’t the first time Milo was not present for the first table read or at the start of production.

When filming for season three began, Milo was also not present at the first table read as, once again, he was working on another project.

It is highly possible that Milo will be back for School Spirits after filming on Tangled wraps, potentially lending to his role on the TV show being smaller than the past few seasons due to his current availability.

The 19-year-old Camp Rock 3 and Zombies star just released his debut single, “Stay for the Credits,” on Friday (August 29).

“Being able to have something that I have controlled from the ground up and being able to fully be a part of the creative process has been really cool. It’s my own thing,” he told Billboard of the song, co-written and produced by Aaron Shadrow.

“I don’t have to [make music]. I just get to do it carefreely and just [have] no pressure and no strings attached, which has been great. It’s allowed me to thrive during the creative process.”

What inspired “Stay for the Credits”?

“People [are] judging you based off of what they see online and not taking the time to get to know you as a person. The story is all about staying for the credits and really being willing to go deep and learn about who I am as a person, and not just the things that are portrayed online,” he shared with Billboard.

“I just hope that people can use the song as an escape. It can be one of those songs that just makes you feel good in the morning when you put it on in the car and you’re just kind of grooving out.”

Will he release more music?

“I’m kind of just gonna let ‘Stay for the Credits’ roll and see what it does. But you never know. I’m keeping it open. Not closing any doors,” he teased.

In just under a month, Malachi is heading back out on tour with several of his fellow Disney stars. Check out the dates and cities!
