My daughter's first day of kindergarten. In just 2 hours I'll be saying goodbye to my baby, and a big kid is going to be coming home in her place. 8am to 3pm every day of the week. Seems crazy long for kindergarten, but I'm sure she'll really enjoy herself. We spent last night picking out what she was going to wear. She decided on a hello kitty shirt, she said it would be perfect.
Lunch is packed, her tinkerbell backpack is filled to the brim with supplies for the classroom like tissues, baby wipes, 4 boxes of crayons, and whatever else was on the supply list from the teacher.

She's a good kid. She loves everybody. My main concern is there's going to be that 1 asshole kid that makes her realize that some people are just plain mean. There's always at least 1 big jerk in every class. And I'm sure it starts as early as kindergarten.

Aside from my suffering today, I have tons of new pics of our new puppy. We decided to name her Kira. She'll be coming home either Saturday or Sunday.

We get to go enjoy the day with my crazy family

out in imlay city. My daughter is really looking forward to swimming in the pool, we just bought her a cool new sponge bob bathing suit that comes with a little grass skirt. I actually bought new clothes for myself yesterday too. I despise shopping, and I don't think I've bought new clothes since I had to buy maternity stuff 5 years ago! Well maybe that's a good thing.

We also went and looked at a house the other day. It was cute enough, had a good size yard (a bit under an acre of land) but I'm not sure it had enough room for us. Only 3 bedrooms, and we'd prefer 4 so we can eventually have another baby. I think we're going to call about this one on monday. Seems roomy enough.

Tomorrow we're going to the circus! Right down the road they're putting on a circus at the park, so we're going to check that out, I haven't been to a circus in quite a few years. The last time I went, the elephants started to stampede, and we all had to get out of the big tent thing. What a mess!

Oh and about the truck? I'm so in love, drove it to the mall yesterday when I got my hair cut. However my husband filled the tank last night, and it cost 87 freaking dollars. That's insane.

So they sent us a new DVR receiver since ours was a POS, and when I went to call and register it to my account, they were updating their system. So now I our tv won't work for the next few hours, until their updating is finished and they can access my account.

My husband is going insane! He finally got his buyout check from Ford, so he's been looking into getting a Dodge ram like he's wanted for a while now. Fine by me, I love those trucks. However when I asked him what he's buying for me, his reply was "well uh, you had wanted some sandals..."
Granted, they were neat sandals, all squishy on the bottom for comfy feet. However, not thrilling in the least.

Almost everything that was broken has been fixed! I got to help my husband with some sort of engine belt thingy. Squatch put it on crooked, so I had to straighten it out. That was tough!
The plumber got here within 10 minutes of calling him (awesome guy. really.) and fixed our water heater.

The only thing left is my soccer mom van. Something is wrong with the trans (it's not shifting gears when it should) and that has yet to be fixed. by the way, that broke in December. Prompt fixes are not my husband's cup of tea it seems.

So now it's a fairly relaxing night. Just leftovers for dinner, bath time for the munchkin, and I'm done!

But I did want to mention something in the news the past few days. Here's one of the sites that reported on it.
a 2 month old baby boy was allegedly killed by a 8 week old lab puppy. The child was left alone unsupervised over an hour and a half in a baby swing. The mom and grandma were home, but apparently they were on the other side of the house because they didn't hear anything.
The 8 week old puppy has already been put to sleep because of this. However I really don't think a puppy that age has the ability or the drive to get up into an elevated infant swing, and attack and kill a baby. There's just something really odd about this story.

What are your opinions?

got to work on the truck today.

Going through their connection lists for cheap prices for the battery and alternator. Who knew a brand new truck could turn to crap in only 6 years?

Oh and new problem (as usual) our water heater decided to stop working again. So I got to wash the dishes with barely warm water. Man I'm glad I showered last night!

Oh and here's a new one of Diesel. Just because he's cute.

My husband took the buyout from ford. Meaning he quit, but got a severance package. So we've gone for a month without any incoming cash while we're waiting for the big check to come in. Doesn't it figure that when we're low on money, our one and only working vehicle decides to break! The battery won't hold a charge, so he was hoping that it was just a battery problem and NOT an alternator problem. He ran it up to get tested and guess what? It's BOTH! so a $60 fix, is now a $300 fix!
Where in the world are we going to get an extra 300 flippin dollars to fix it?
Go figure...

So I've been trying to figure out how exactly people make money from blogs. I've been searching tons of websites that try to force me to buy imaginary books and all that fun stuff. I just want some really simple way of earning money.

So far, I've found this neat site Shutterstock which pays .25 for every download of a photo that you upload to the site. Seems kinda neat!

So has anyone found an easy way of making actual money through their blog? Let me know!!

so we ordered a screen for our back doorwall, since the one we had was a POS and kept falling off every time we tried to open it. It has a zipper down the center, that we leave half unzipped, so the dogs can go in and out as they please, but it wont let any bugs in. It wasn't expensive, and it works well. I'm loving it!

Now I'm just waiting on the dog bones I ordered to come in. 1, 2 , 3 , 4 Hopefully That'll be here today. Diesel needs something to chew on, he keeps bringing in grass from the back yard. lol

96 degrees for the last 2 days, and FINALLY our pool cleared up! woot!

My husband and daughter went for a swim yesterday, and they had a blast! We're gonna be heading back outside shortly, since it's already over 80 outside. My daughter's got a nice golden tan going on...me however....not so much.

So a few days of pool time will get me the tan I've been needing for the last few years. lol

So...The pool water is getting a little more clear, it's mostly yellow now, which I think is because of all the chlorine, since we had to shock it 3 times. It's supposed to be over 90 degrees out today, which will help burn off most of the chlorine, and bring the levels back down to normal-ish.

I'll say it again, hopefully we'll be able to swim in it soon. That'd be nice, ya know?

Today is my In-Laws 25th wedding anniversary, so we've got that party to go to today. They wanted us to spend the night, but I really doubt that's gonna happen. We cant leave the dogs for that long without letting them out.

Hopefully I can have some fun tonight. I have fun like...twice a year. lol

So we went to a pool store today, brought in a water sample, and the sales guy told us exactly what was wrong with our water, and gave us 2 things to fix it. If all goes well, we should be swimming by afternoon tomorrow.

Lets just hope he's right!

So this is (almost) my husband's truck. His is white and upgraded a bit. He's out right now getting a sunroof put in. He also wants to get it lowered a bit. Even though he said I wouldn't notice much a difference, I don't think he should lower it. I've always preferred big trucks, and I think I would hate it.

Oh well, what can I do. I cant stand between a man and his toy. lol

Diesel never ceases to amaze me. Our pug chyna barks...constantly. at people across the street, people in the yard next door, and any other unfamiliar noise. But Diesel will just go check out what she's barking at, stare at it for a few minutes, and go find something better to do. Yay!! And last night, I'm having dinner, while watching some tv on the couch, and he jumped up next to me, sniffed my food, then laid his head on my lap and went to sleep. He didn't try to eat my food, or even stare at me like Chyna does. I was so worried that all her bad/annoying habits would rub off on him, but I guess not!
I'm so happy with him I can't even describe it! <3

I put in the chlorine tablets, and turned on the filter...and guess what? It's not green this time! Well....yet anyways, there's still time I'm sure. But it's looking pretty positive so far. I think last year my husband told me to put in the shock first, and that's what messed it all up. I've got my fingers crossed!

We went out yesterday, and finally got our boxer pup Diesel his seat belt for the car. It will prevent him from jumping around, and keep him safe in his seat. He's great in the car, he loves looking out the window and wagging his little nubby tail and everyone that looks his way. He's a strange dog, he practically gets offended by people who don't go up and pet him. We really need to work on jumping though. He's like a little kangaroo in a dogs body! He doesn't walk anywhere, he hops!
