SINGAPURA - Research in Motion (RIM) menyatakan pengembang aplikasi BlackBerry yang terbesar di dunia, berasal dari Indonesia. Hal senada juga diakui Ibnu Maksum selaku pemimpin komunitas developer BlackBerry Indonesia.

Ibnu mengatakan komunitas pegembang aplikasi BlackBerry di Indonesia berjumlah sebanyak 374 orang anggota. Sedangkan pengembang yang hadir pada ajang DevCon Asia 2011 di Singapura ini berjumlah 27 orang.

"Sebagai komunitas (pengembang aplikasi Blackberry, red) terbesar di dunia dan sudah diakui oleh RIM, kami juga memiliki beberapa kegiatan rutin, seperti setiap 3 bulan sekali mengadakan pertemuan dengan seluruh pengembang baik itu independen maupun yang bergabung pada perusahaan aplikasi untuk membahas mengenai pembuatan aplikasi pada platform BlackBerry. Selain itu setiap 6 bulan, kami juga mengadakan pelatihan untuk para pelajar dan mahasiswa. Pelatihan yang baru saja kami adakan berlangsung di kampus ITB, Bandung," kata Ibnu di Suntec International Convention & Exhibition Center, Singapura, Kamis (8/12/2011).

Ibnu juga menjelaskan ajang konfrensi pengembang aplikasi BlackBerry se-Asia ini sedang coba diarahkan unuk membuat aplikasi yang ditujukan untuk PlayBook. Sebab aplikasi PlayBook masih sedikit dibanding aplikasi tablet Android. Sebagai salah satu developer, dia memprediksi sistem operasi (OS) BlackBerry 10 akan beralih dari platform Java ke platform QNX.

"Kedepannya OS Java pada BlackBerry akan hilang dan beralih ke QNX. Untuk membuat aplikasi tentunya nanti para pengembang aplikasi akan beralih juga, dari Java developtmen ke QNX yang minimal harus menggunakan bahasa pengkodean dari Adobe Air, Web Works atau bahasa pengkodean ketika membuat aplikasi Android," papar Ibnu.

"Tentu bagi pengembang yang menciptakan aplikasi di Android, maka mereka juga bisa menciptakannya untuk platform QNX di BlackBerry karena bahasa pengkodeannya sama. Kemungkinan besar nantinya semua pengembang aplikasi untuk BlackBerry akan menggunakan bahasa pengkodean Adobe Air karena penggunaannya lebih mudah ," simpulnya.

Hacker Hadirkan OS Android 4.0 di Kindle Fire

CALIFORNIA - Sistem operasi terbaru Google, Android 4.0 tampaknya membuat banyak orang tak sabar menunggu kehadirannya di berbagai perangkat. Terkini, seorang hacker berhasil membawa sistem operasi Google, Android 4.0 ke Amazon Kindle Fire.

Sebuah demonstrasi singkat mengenai Kindle Fire yang menjalankan Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) ini telah diposting ke YouTube.

Tidak banyak memang yang ditampilkan dalam posting video tersebut, mengingat ini baru merupakan tahap awal projek.

Dilansir The Inquirer, Kamis (8/12/2011),pada video tersebut terlihat dengan mudahnya layar sentuh bekerja, juga bisa melihat adanya home screen dan menu aplikasi serta informasi tantang tablet tersebut yang menunjukkan versi Android tersebut.

Sang hacker, G1011999 yang diberi nama Stephen mengakui bahwa masih ada pekerjaan yang harus dilakukan, termasuk mendapatkan operasional WiFi dan audio. ICS sepertinya telah membuatnya tertarik menjalankan sistem operasi tersebut pada Kindle Fire.

Menurutnya, hardware tersebut cukup baik tapi sayangnya perangkat lunaknya terbatas.

Dia juga mengumumkan akan memulai sebuah projek open source dan merilis kodenya agar orang-orang dapat melihatnya. (tyo)

Presiden Rusia Menghina Penentangnya Lewat Twitter

MOSKOW - Presiden Rusia Dmitry Medvedev mengejutkan publik dengan menyatakan penghinaan terhadap lawan politiknya, melalui sebuah akun twitter.

Saat ini, pemimpin Kremlin ini bersama Perdana Menterinya sedang menghadapi meningkatnya protes oposisi terhadapa pemerintahannya, sehubungan dengan dugaan ketidakadilan dalam proses pemilihan parlemen.

Pesan twitter tersebut nampaknya telah di-retweet pada hari Rabu, melalui feed MedvedevRussia, sekitar pukul 00.33 waktu setempat.

"Sekarang telah jelas, bila orang menulis "partai maling dan penipu" dalam blognya, maka orang itu adalah domba bodoh yang brengsek (f****d)," tulis Dmity dalam tweet-nya.

Ungkapan "partai maling dan penipu" digunakan oleh oposisi untuk menggambarkan kepemimpinan Medvedev di partai Rusia Bersatu. Kata-kata tersebut dilontarkan oleh Alexei Navalny, yang mendapat hukuman penjara selama 15 hari karena perannya dalam proter anti-Putin.

Kremlin mengatakan "sebuah re-tweet yang salah" telah muncul di akun Medvedev, kemudian mereka melempat kesalahan pada seorang pejabat tak dikenal, dengan alasan telah turut campur dalam feed tersebut.

"Orang yang bersalah akan dihukum," katanya dalam sebuah pernyataan. Demikian dilansir melalui SundayMorningHerald, Kamis (8/12/2011).

Pengguna Mobile Internet Indonesia Hanya 8 Persen

JAKARTA - Hasil penelitian Yahoo! Net Index 2011, menunjukkan peningkatan dalam akses mobile internet di sebagian besar Asia Tenggara, dengan Indonesia menempati posisi teratas ranking pertumbuhan tersebut.

Dibandingkan kondisi pada tahun 2009 lalu, Indonesia mengalami peningkatan sebesar 160 persen. Pendorong pertumbuhan mobile internet ini adalah generasi muda pria (15-24 tahun) yang memiliki akses ke perangkat ponsel pintar.

Harga perangkat pintar tersebut umumnya di bawah USD200 dan hadir bersama paket data yang murah, fungsi pesan panggilan dan sms, kemudahan akses web mobile serta beragam fitur multimedia.

Penelitian tersebut juga menyebutkan, saat ini Indonesia memiliki biaya bulanan mobile internet paling rendah (rata-rata sekira USD12,5), posisi selanjutnya adalah Filipina (USD13,1), Malaysia (USD15), dan Vietnam (USD24).

"Dengan hanya 8 persen dari populasi di Indonesia yang menggunakan mobile internet (menurut IDC Agustus 2011 sejumlah 20 juta), ada potensi besar yang belum tersentuh oleh Yahoo! untuk mendapatkan wawasan lebih dalam melalui penelitian Yahoo! Net Index 2011," kata David Jeffs, Kepala Yahoo Insights, dalam rilisnya, Kamis (8/12/2011).

"Yahoo! telah menjadi yang terdepan dalam mengetahui pola kebutuhan pasar dan telah menghadirkan layanan berbasis lokasi di Indonesia, serta akan terus memanfaatkan berbagai peluang pasar dan menghadirkan produk serta layanan berbasis mobile," tambahnya.

Temuan dari penelitian Yahoo! Net Index 2011 juga menyatakan bahwa Nokia merupakan merek yang dominan digunakan untuk mengakses internet secara mobile (46 persen), diikuti oleh BlackBerry (10 persen), dan Nexian (9 persen). (tyo)

WASHINGTON - Gedung Putih mengecam pemerintah Iran karena pemblokiran yang dilakukannya terhadap situs virtual kedutaan besar Amerika Serikat (AS) untuk Iran.

"Kami mengutuk pemerintah Iran yang berupaya menolak kemerdekaan masyarakatnya, untuk mengakses Kedutaan Virtual di Teheran, yang baru-baru ini diluncurkan Amerika," kata juru bicara Gedung Putih Jay Carney dalam pernyataannya.

"Melalui tindakan ini, pemerintah Iran telah sekali lagi menunjukkan komitmennya untuk membangun dinding pengawasan dan sensor elektronik, di sekitar masyarakatnya," katanya.

Dilansir melalui Peopledaily, Kamis (8/12/2011), dia juga mengatakan AS tetap teguh dalam komitmen untuk berdialog dengan rakyat Iran, berdasarkan pada kepentingan bersama, saling menghormati dan kekaguman terhadap sebuah peradaban klasik yang besar.

Sekretaris Negara AS, Hillary Clinton menyebut kedutaan virtual itu sebuah platform agar mereka satu sama lain dapat berkomunikasi secara terbuka dan tanpa rasa takut, tentang AS,kebijakannya, budayanya, dan tentang orang-orangnya.

Latar belakang
Mungkin dalam keseharian ada di antara kita yang tidak sengaja menghilangkan Password
atau Serial Number dari program yang sudah kita beli. Kalau sudah begitu tentunya repot. Untuk
mendapatkannya kembali bisa saja dengan menghubungi toko retail maupun vendor program
tempat program tersebut dibeli. Namun, jika ada peraturan dari vendor yang mengharuskan
membeli ulang password maupun serial number yang hilang, bagaimana? Bagi Anda mungkin itu
bukan masalah . Tapi bagi Saya itu mungkin salah satu masalah besar.
Dari kasus inilah Saya mencoba menerapkan kegunaan Win32 Hook. Sekedar informasi,
teknik seperti ini sering digunakan oleh para Reverser di dunia Reverse Engineering. Untuk
melakukan debugging file berukuran besar bukan hal yang mudah, memerlukan waktu lama dan
harus didukung dengan hardware yang cukup mewah. Bayangkan saja debugging file berukuran
diatas 100 MB dan didalamnya mengandung Crypto RSA?!?! Kalau Saya sih membayangkan saja
sudah tidak mau, apalagi benar-benar mempraktekkannya.. MALAS!
Paper ini bukanlah sebuah tutorial, tetapi hanyalah sebuah informasi. Implementasi dari
pemikiran Saya dengan menerapkan Win32 Hook. Jadi jangan berharap lebih ya? . Karena disini
Saya tidak mengajak Anda melakukan proses Reverse Engineering ataupun Coding secara
mendalam.. MALAS! . Mungkin lain kali.. tapi gak janji loh..

Teori
Sekedar pengetahuan bagi Anda yang mungkin masih awam dengan istilah pemrograman
dan dunia komputer, serta bagi Anda yang bukan Programmer (karena Anda berarti sama seperti
Saya.. ) Hook atau Win32 Hook merupakan salah satu point mekanisme penanganan pesan
(Message-Handling) di dalam Microsoft Windows. Dimana sebuah aplikasi dapat menginstal suatu
sub-rutin untuk memonitor lalu lintas pesan didalam sistem dan beberapa proses tertentu dari
pesan tersebut sebelum mencapai prosedur jendela target.
Hook itu sendiri termasuk dalam kategori Handles and Object. Dan masuk dalam spesifikasi
User object. Lantas mengapa hal “ANEH” ini diperlukan dalam teknik pemrograman?? Ada 2 alasan..
Pertama, penggunaan obyek dapat memastikan bahwa pengembang
(Developer/Programmer) tidak menulis kode secara spesifik untuk low-level, struktur internal. Hal ini
memungkinkan Microsoft untuk menambahkan atau mengubah kemampuan sistem operasi,
sepanjang pemanggilan konvensi yang asli terjaga. Jadi jika suatu saat Microsoft meluncurkan
Operating System, aplikasi yang dibuat oleh para developer ini akan mendapatkan kemampuan baru
dengan sedikit penambahan atau tidak sama sekali.
Kedua, pemakaian obyek memungkinkan pengembang (Developer/Programmer)
mendapatkan keuntungan dari keamanan Win32. Masing-masing obyek mempunyai daftar kendali
akses sendiri (access-control list /ACL) yang menetapkan jenis-jenis tindakan proses dapat berjalan pada obyek.
Operating System menguji suatu obyek ACL setiap kali sebuah aplikasi mencoba untuk
menciptakan handle pada obyek.

Proof of Concept
Jalankan program Enable Hook, Anda akan melihat icon kecil di tray icon dengan caption
“MRHPx Enable Hook OFF”. Program Enable Hook ini telah diuji pada beberapa aplikasi yang
menggunakan proteksi Password maupun Serial Number pada saat installasi, salah satunya adalah
DigiFish AncientOcean v1.01. Tanpa Serial Number yang benar Anda tidak akan dapat melakukan
installasi program karena tombol “Next” dalam status disable (Screen. 1)

Setelah itu coba Anda klik kiri dengan mouse, program Enable Hook yang berada di tray icon sampai
icon dan statusnya berubah menjadi ON (Screen. 2). Tanda berarti OFF, dan tanda berarti ON. Lalu coba klik tombol “Next” disable yang berada di jendela installasi program tadi.
Bagaimana? Statusnya berubah menjadi Enable dan bisa di klik dengan mouse bukan?

Kesimpulan
Mengapa tombol “Next” yang semula disable berubah menjadi enable? Padahal Serial
Number masih kosong, tidak diisi sama sekali? Jawabannya adalah karena di dalam “Handles and
Objects” sebuah aplikasi bisa meraih Obyek-Jendela handle yang ada. Sama halnya dengan Anda
tidak perlu mengganti channel TV manual, sampai harus jalan bolak-balik dari tempat duduk Anda ke
meja TV jika sudah ada remote control di tangan Anda. Jadi meskipun diisi Password dan Serial
Number yang benar ataupun tidak benar sekalipun, installasi akan tetap berjalan lancar. Sampai
disini, Anda sudah melihat kehebatan Win32 Hook bukan. Jadi jangan pernah menganggap remeh
Win32 APIs Hook sebelum mempelajarinya. Bahkan proteksi FLEXlm yang terkenal itupun takluk
karena hal ini. Untuk para developer, apakah masih yakin proteksi program installer Anda ini benar-
benar aman?? Silahkan berkreasi dan berekspresi dengan Win32 APIs. Terima kasih semoga
