The whole kit came out a couple of days ago but this is the first chance I have had to share. Things arent all that hectic but I've been doing some other stuff and not had a chance to get on here. Here is what I created -

This advent calendar has been a huge success with my girls this year, so much so that we had to write a list of who had each choccy each day so that Sarah didnt feel like she was being ripped off!!

The top ornate section is hollow which meant I was able to put a couple of tea light candles in there to add some bling to it!! Not such a great idea for the chocolates though lol!!

Before I forget, there is a new sketch in the gallery as well. Its a sketch (Kind of) of my hiding page.

Finally, here is an ornament that the kids in my class taught me how to make -

A New Digi Page

I've been working this weekend on finally sorting through the massive amount of digi things I collected throughout the year, cataloguing them in ACDSee by Store/designer/product type/colour/subject. I must admit that I really didnt realise just how much I had bought/downloaded until it came to sorting. I've deleted a ton of old stuff and bits I know are not my thing - I figure the quantity things isnt as great as the quality bit!!

Anyway, here is the page I created in between when I was fed up with the whole process and wanted to throw the towel in.

The credits are as always in the digi gallery. The photo's were taken at the magic cave last week when we visited Santa.

Well, I need to go get some stuff done. I'm avoiding painting atm - Matt has decided to repaint the outside of the house and since I think it doesnt need doing, I've decided to boycott the whole project. Only problem is appearing busy every time he comes hunting for me to help lol!!

2010 Calendar Freebie

I've had a lovely breezy day - sitting on my puter playing. I finally finished my game - lost via Domus. My god its been an absolute frustration getting through it but boy was it awesome seeing the end!! After it all, I did actually enjoy it - particularly the fact that I made it through on my own.

Oh and... I spent lunch making bubble tea's. Emma had her very first one at the beginning of the week while we were in the city and she loved it. So we went hunting and managed to get some of the black pearl tapioca's to make some and they actually turned out really nicely - Em is thrilled that she can make her own!

After and between all that, I created a desktop calendar for my desk at work for next year. My plan is to use an American crafts ring binder album. When the cover folds back it forms a really nicely angles wedge for the pages to sit on and the fact that there are page protectors included means I can put each page into a protector to use!! Here is my front cover -

I've also done the inside of my calendar. As another freebie I've created a download of my calendar complete with a converted cover. The download will feature exactly the same cover as mine above but with the photo section cut away so you can add your own photo.

Another Digi Page

I spent the bulk of today with my mum and my niece and nephew. We went shopping for some what nots - well I needed new plates for our kitchen and mum wanted more Christmas stuff. I ended up coming home with some nice china plates, a set of fancy melamine plates and breakfast bowls and some seed beds to grow seedlings for our new garden beds. Oh and a few extra Christmas stuff that I couldnt resist!!

Mum had to see her specialist in the afternoon so I bought some cheap games and entertained Sarah, Tahlee and Aidan while she was inside. They were so funny watching them play go fish. Tahlee kept cheating, Sarah got sulky when she didnt win and Aidan would go quiet and concentrate before yelling "Oh crap". It was like he had just worked out that he was losing and there was nothing he could do. The girls loved it because he gave himself away every time. On the way home the girls decided to teach Aidan the latest Rihanna song in the backseat - god that was funny just listening to them!! I recorded them but they still thought they were fabulous!!

Anyway, the day is nearly done and I am stuffed - we went to the pool tonight for a bit of a cool down. Was pretty awesome fun and the water was soooo warm after such a hot day!!

Oh, I almost forgot, I created this late last night while I was watching a very poor "attempt at scary" movie called Walled in. Movie was crap but I like how this page turned out -

Christmas and a few more Sneakies

It's nearly Christmas? Are you all organised - I kind of am. Well, I've wrapped presents and decided I've had enough of shopping at the very least!!

What is it about Christmas anyway that has everyone in such a tizzy?!? I mean you drive around the car park for at least 1/2 an hour searching for that elusive car park all the while knowing that if you do manage to find it you will be inside a very busy shop standing in very long queues!!

Yesterday we did just that - for a 5 minute trek infor a last minute pressie. For our troubles we stood for 1/2 an hour in a queue, bought choccies that should have been a whole lot less and were only 2 weeks earlier oh and had some idiot decide to bang his car door into the side of our car. Now I know thats to be expected but I was in the car door at the time and watched him do it - not once but twice!! The idiot was whinging to his wife the whole time about bloody fancy cars - I assume ours - and banged it by accident once then re did it for pleasure. I got out of the car but the moron just tried to wave me off with a shrug of his shoulders. I wrote down his rego but luckily there was only a paint smear from his door ond no damage - idiot!!

This weekend the December Club Scrappit Now will be released - just in time to scrap all those wonderful Christmas photo's. Since its not that time though, I would love to share a few sneak peaks of the things I created with this beautiful kit -

Scrap Artist Pages and some Cards

Well I guess my title gave away everything lol. This weekend has been absolutely awesome - I have caught up with soooo much and more!! Yesterday I cleaned up the house, did groceries and even had some time to make some fruit mince pies - from scratch!! They werent the greatest to look at but they were still yummy to eat.

Anyway, here are the Scrap Artist pages I created last night -

Sarah and I mde a whole heap of these yesterday as well. They are for this afternoon when she goes to her dancing Christmas party. Sarah was so cute because she insisted on being a part of every step of the process but she couldnt handle putting on the life saver handles so in the end she very politely told me to do them and took over all the rest - very cute!!

I also created a pair of Magnolia stamped cards - one for Matt's birthday which is early this week and one for Sarah who turns a huge 10 4 days after christmas. Here is Matts -

Notice the cake is upside down? I stamped it like that by accident then really liked the effect since she is all devilish and all!! Here is Sarahs - not so wicked one!!

Well, time for me to go get Sarah ready for her party - wish she would stop stressing over what she wants to wear!!

December Sneakie Peakies and a bit of a share

I officially began my holidays yesterday and I am so glad. Work this past week was very full on so its wonderful to be able to rest up. I have quite a few things to do atm, from finishing my club stuff to wrapping presents and putting up the tree but at least I have some time now to do it all!!

Scrappit Challenge Page

What do you think? I desaturated the background of the photo of Sarah and all of the smaller photos so that it didnt feel like to much of a colour boom!!

Hi again. Yet again its been another very long week. Thankfully I'm standing on the cusp of the last five days of my work week because boy could I use the break!! Things havent been easy at work of late and its been getting me down in a bad way, I've been trying to just keep my head above water until its over but I tell you there are definate times when I feel myself beginning to drown in it all. So yay to five more days and then 6 glorious weeks of peace for me!!

Mind you, this week hasn't been all bad. I was emailed during the midst of all this will a beautiful email from my very favourite digi scrap shop - Scrapartist. Every month they have a competition challenge where you create a digi page to a set criteria. I created mine ironically about the very topic I described above but never shared it here because -well, I didnt want the whole damn world to see lol. Anyway, I won and for the month of December I am a guest member of their design team which absolutely rocks!! I spent last night buying some pretties to begin the pages I want to do for them.

So any more news???

Well, I bought a new puter this week - one with bigger graphics memory to handle my digi work. I was so tired of reading "Not enough ram" whenever I tried to do something complex in photoshop lol!

I ended up finishing my reports 2 days beforre they were due - and never had to do any corrections because they were well written!!

Um, I finally finished all my christmas shopping and nutted out what Sarah wants for her birthday - no easy task!!

I began the Jessica Sprague "Holidays in hand" course journal. God at the moment that kinda feels like I set myself up big time with this one but then again I love what I have written so far as I look back so while I feel frustrated by the lack of time and the amount it take up, I also feel very rewarded by the end result as well!!

So thats it for me for today - hopefully I will be back through the week but if not then I will be on the weekend with heaps of new digi to share and a very at peace mind because I am finally on holiday!!

Catch up

It has been such a long and drawn out week for me - hence, no visit here from me lol!! I've been busy finishing off my reports and getting them checked for printing. Then off course over the weekend, I bought a new laptop computer and had to put all my bits and bobs on to the drive so it can be used effectively for me.

I only have two things left to do - my smartpen and my bamboo graphics tablet but neither are wanting to work with Windows 7 so I'm now waiting on advice from both companies respective. God!!!

Anyway, no challenge for me this week as I was too busy last wek but I do have this months Scrappit pack to share -
