3.21 is a day that never meant much other than the day after Spring, until 3 years ago. Now it’s a day we celebrate the folks born with three copies of the 21st chromosome, and get to tell how rad my little girl is.

Her favorite food is lo-mein. She likes “coffee” (milk with a hint of Starbucks chilled latte). She might be a bigger Katy Perry fan that me. (Doubt it) You will always find her with a good book in hand, usually Go Dog, Go. I learn to be a better person from her everyday. Her kindness and tender heart are gold. I’ve learned, Its a good thing we’re not always left to choose the paths our lives will take, there’s so much we could miss.

She can’t keep that fierce look for long!

We met at a cafe and chatted over coffee and a danish. They shared with me the ideas and details that would make their wedding day a day to remember and invited me to be a part of it. Little did I know it would be one of my favorite weddings to date. It was a complete pleasure to spend the day capturing their moments and feel like part of their family. When the session starts with you being introduced to the driver of an ATV as “he’s our chauffeur”, you know it’s going to be a good night! We had a blast exploring the ravines and woods of their property and I’m stoked to be shooting the wedding of these two.

I’m not sure of their whole story, but what I am sure of is, they are really into each other. I heard stories, told stories, and talked of hunting trips that should happen all while enjoying homemade deli sandwichs. I was plopped into the middle of a day, a very wet day, that felt like I had been there all along. I had such a blast getting to know Ann & Justin and got to see what genuine people they were. This is why I do what I do. Guys, thanks so much for letting me be a part of your family and capturing your incredibly rainy and amazing day.

There were many location and date changes for this engagement session, til one day I posted an image of a camper on my Instagram and asked “who want’s to be a model?”. That’s all it took for Leah, Peter and myself to agree that they were the perfect couple to shoot at this location. What happened next was what we like to call MAGIC!

There’s always a slight mystery when a client books you for their wedding. Your relationship is thrown into speed mode as you try to get to know them and figure out the personalities you’ll capture on their wedding day. For those who have known Pamela and Toby, they’ve been able to experience the wonderful, kind people these two are. It only took me one day to realize these guys are gold! I had a blast spending the day with you two and feel blessed to have been a part of it.
