Justin Bieber’s Selena Gomez Angel Tattoo on His Wrist

Bieber’s angel wrist tattoo was first glimpsed on April 23, but it was actually inked the previous night by tattoo artist Daniel Grunditz at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm, where the singer was staying during his Believe tour. The tattoo features an image that appears to be a guardian angel with wings inked on the outside of his left wrist, and, unlike most of his other ink, the arm tattoo actually includes some muted colors. The angel in the wrist tat is surrounded by puffy light blue clouds, sports long dark hair and pink-colored wings, and looks just like a photo of Bieber’s on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez. There are quite a few possible meanings of Justin Bieber’s angel tattoo, but we think it is most likely a little body shrine to Selena.  Some speculate that it could represent a loved one that he has lost or possibly a “goddess”…like Goddess Selena?? Hmm.  Check out the cleavage resemblance, coincidence?  We think not.

Bieber is Growing Up, Getting Inked, and Getting Back Together?

Justin Bieber has been making headlines quite a bit lately, but not just because of his new tattoos. According to the singer, he knows that he is “young” and “makes mistakes,” but he claims the actions that have subjected him to public scrutiny lately are just a “part of growing up.” There’s no denying the singer is growing up; the 19-year-old now sports 14 tattoos on his body and he shows no sign of slowing down any time soon. Another part of growing up: possibly getting back together with his leading lady, Selena Gomez. The singer – who has a couple small tattoos of her own – joined the Biebs in Oslo and then accompanied him to Copenhagen last week, then he pretty much got a tattoo of her.  We wonder what the squeaky clean Disney darling thinks of his new ink!

Justin Bieber’s Tiger Arm Tattoo

The new tiger tattoo is inked on the outside of Justin Bieber’s left bicep, with the open mouth of the tiger facing his ribcage. The arm tattoo is inked in black and white, like most of the singer’s other ink, and looks pretty ferocious, thanks to the tiger’s bared teeth and creepy-looking eyes. One of the most common tiger tattoo meanings is power or strength, which is similar in theme to the crown tattoo the Biebs recently had inked on his chest. The pop star sees himself as a force to reckon with in the pop world, and the crown tat effectively branded him as the prince of pop, if not the king. Similarly, the tiger may not be the king of the jungle, but he is a ferocious hunter and predator, so Justin Bieber may have gotten the arm tat as a symbol of his success and his presence at the top of the pop music food chain.

Justin Bieber Turns Tattoo Artist for a Day, Could Be Fined by Health Dept

Pics of the 15-minute tattoo session show a nervous Justin Bieber in full concentration mode as he inked a black and white image of a musclar mouse on Bang Bang’s leg, along with the word “Swaggy,” which is the name of Bieber’s cartoon alter-ego. The mouse tat was definitely pretty shaky, but all in all, not bad for the singer’s first-ever tattoo. Bieber’s tattoo session may not have been all fun and games though. Apparently, the pop star could face a $2,000 fine for tattooing without a license, which is illegal in New York state. Rihanna found that out the hard way in June 2009, when she inked tattoos on several people, including an umbrella with an “R” on Bang Bang’s leg.

Pop Stars Ink Up Celebrity Tattoo Artist

The same month that Bang Bang received RiRi’s signature umbrella (ella….ella) tattoo, Chris Brown added his own cartoonish tat to Bang Bang’s impressive collection, although the pair reportedly drove to a different state for the session so Breezy wouldn’t get in trouble. There’s no word on why the Biebs wasn’t afforded the same consideration. Bang Bang did seem pleased with the tattoo he got from Justin Bieber though, tweeting “Thx for my tat bro!” following the session. The New York City Health Department, however, seems less than amused, and could decide to cite Bang Bang’s tattoo shop (yet again) for “operating with an unlicensed tattoo artist on site.”

Justin Bieber’s London Tattoo Artist Calls Him a Spoiled Brat

We all know that Justin Bieber loves tattoos, so an upcoming trip to London probably seemed like a great opportunity for him to add to his growing collection of ink. It came as no surprise then that a member of the Bieber crew called up celebrity tattoo shop Love Hate Social Club in London, and requested that a tattoo artist be sent to the hotel where the pop star was staying. “I was summoned to Justin’s hotel at 7pm by one of his minders,” said tattoo artist and shop manager Guy Sahar, “but then I was called back and put on standby all night.” After being told that money wasn’t a problem, Sahar finally inked Justin Bieber’s “X” tat on his left arm at 6 a.m., in a four-hour session that included a tattoo for the singer’s DJ as well. Once the artist produced the bill, however, “They snubbed me and tried to haggle over the money,” said Sahar. “In the end, I took £500 just so I could go.”

Bieber’s Reputation is on the Rocks

Justin Bieber’s bratty behavior involving his tattoo artist wasn’t the only unfortunate event that marred the singer’s already controversial London trip. The Biebs reportedly arrived two hours late for his concert at the O2 Arena and got into an altercation with a photographer during his stay in London as well. As Bieber continues putting his erratic behavior on display, the 19-year-old pop star is becoming an increasingly easy target for tabloids, and haggling with a tattoo artist that he kept on-call for 12 hours straight isn’t exactly the best way to improve his once-immaculate image. Justin Bieber’s Greek Christ Symbol Tattoo on His Arm

We all know that Justin Bieber loves him some religious tattoos, and the new ink on his arm is no exception. Located next to and slightly below the owl tat on his arm, JB’s new tattoo features the letter “X,” with one straight diagonal line and one curved. The arm tattoo certainly has confused some other celebrity media sources – like the Daily Mail, which called the tat a cross, and The Sun, which called Justin’s tattoo a multiplication sign – but we’ve got the real inside scoop. In reality, Justin Bieber’s “X” tattoo is the Greek symbol for “Christ” (think Christmas = Xmas). The “X” is actually a representation of the Greek letter “Chi,” which is short for the Greek word , meaning “Christ.” According to one source, the Greek letters “X” (Chi) and “p” (Rho) superimposed together was once a very common symbol of Christ and was called the Chi-Rho.

The Biebs Has Faith

Justin Bieber’s Greek tattoo marks his 12^th inking to date, and is the third tattoo the singer has gotten so far in 2013, after the Indian head hockey logo on his shoulder and the Roman numeral tat on his chest. Leave it to Ellen DeGeneres to get Justin Bieber to divulge the meaning behind his many tattoos. According to the pop star, the owl tattoo on his arm stands for wisdom, and he got the ink while on his Believe tour at one of the oldest tattoo shops in the country. As Justin Bieber says about the owl ink, “I like classic, classic tattoos…I just really like the detail [on the owl tattoo] and the artist was really good.” Ellen seemed a little skeptical about the 18-year-old singer dropping by tattoo shops for some new ink while on tour. Have no fear though, Beliebers, as the pop star says, “I do my research before and I find out” the best place to go to get a tattoo. The Biebs also talked with Ellen about his leg tattoos, his crown chest tat and the Japanese symbol for music he got inked on his arm back in July 2012, which Ellen says “looks like a toaster with two pieces of bread coming out.”

The beginning of 2013 has been been awfully busy for Justin Bieber so far. In addition to satisfying all those Beliebers out there and preparing for the release of his Believe Acoustic album, the young singer has also gotten three impressive tattoos – a bunch of roses on his leg, an Indian head logo on his shoulder and the Roman numerals “I IX VII V” inked on his chest. The Biebs first showed off his Roman numeral tat by posting an Instagram photo online, and Bieber’s music producer, Jamal Rashid a.k.a. Mally Mall, followed up with this slightly confusing tweet: “Great Minds Think Alike ! @justin bieber 1975 Same Tatts spiritual meanings.” That’s another fun fact, Rashid got the very same Roman numeral tattoo inked on the inside of his right bicep. Hmm…that Patricia Mallette is one popular lady!

Is Bieber’s Shoulder Tat Incorrect?

Like many celebrity tattoos gone awry, Justin Bieber’s Roman numeral tat may actually be written incorrectly. According to one Belieber, “I am sure I am not the first to state this but 1975 is actually MCMLXXV. I still think you’re awesome though. Toodles.” We’re going to give Bieber the benefit of the doubt and assume that he did at least a little research before getting the Roman numerals permanently inked on his body, so is it possible that “I IX VII V” means something other than his mom’s birth year? Oddly enough, Justin Bieber isn’t the only singer to opt for a mysterious Roman numeral tat recently; Miley Cyrus got a group of Roman numerals inked on her right forearm in May 2012, and still no one is exactly sure what it means or if she’s since covered it up. Whatever its true meaning, the mysterious shoulder tat is just one of many tattoos Justin Bieber already has, and we’re hoping for many more tats in the future!

Tattoo for Grandpa was Inspired by Canadian Hockey Team

Justin Bieber is apparently a big fan of the Canadian hockey team, which was originally called the Stratford Braves, and then the Stratford Warriors, before they settled for a moniker in honor of the Culliton Brothers, who sponsored the team in the 1970s. The shoulder tattoo is inked in black and white and features the side profile of a pretty fierce-looking Native American chief wearing a traditional headdress. In one photo caption, the Biebs wrote, “My grandfather always took me to the stratford culliton every friday night this is for u Grampa…My man @chenterios hooked it up.” The logo of the Stratford Cullitons is believed to be inspired by the fact that Ontario is home to a large amount of Native American nations.

The Biebs Went “Under the Gun” for New Tattoo

Justin Bieber’s tat on his shoulder was inked by Chente Rios of Under the Gun Tattoo in Los Angeles, which is also where Selena Gomez got her music note tat on her wrist, in February 2012. The singer’s Native American tattoo comes just one week after he posted a pic of a new addition to his praying hands tattoo – a collection of black and white roses on his leg – which he posted on December 30, 2012 while vacationing in Mexico. Justin Bieber posed for several shirtless photos to show off every angle of his hockey-themed tattoo, which is his tenth tattoo so far, so take your pick!
