All of us have the opportunity to live fast paced, crazy lives.  In this podcast we are going to talk about ways to make time for your family.  How do you avoid the Disappearing Dad & the MIA Mom?

• Limit Your Kid’s Activities – don’t over schedule your family with activities that pull the family in 100 directions.  Identify a few, and limit it.
• Limit Your Own Activities – When will you stop working?  When will you be home?  What night will you be away?  What nights will you be home?
• Turn Off the TV – Don’t distract yourself from one another with the TV.  Focus on eachother
• Reading/Game/Movie Time – When will you read, play games, or have movie night?  Do that, and do it consistently.
• Establish a Rhythm and Stick to It – establish a rhythm to your week that creates expectation and discipline.  This will make it easy to say no to things that would compromise the family schedule.

For many of us, there may be a time in our lives when we need to confront a loved one about their abuse of alcohol. Here are some steps to consider:

• Don’t do this alone – if you’re seeing this, find others who are seeing this as well and rally their support
• Find the right time – while you might be ready to share, it’s critical that you find the right time for your friend/family member
• Be Clear – don’t muddy the waters, by trying to be sensitive. Use words that describe what you are seeing, regardless of how you think it may make that person feel.
• Don’t Give In – your friend may try to side-step the matter. Don’t be taken in by that.
• Prepare an Action Plan – contact your local AA group and setup a network that you can tap your friend into
• Be prepared to change – you may be part of their problem because of enablement and silence.

If God doesn’t fluctuate then he obviously decided that a lot of people didn’t need money, their houses, an education, etc… then God can go screw in my opinion. This video was BS crap when people are in the midst of losing everything. This is some of the stupid crap that got us into this mess to begin with. Dumb. Ignorant. Stupid.
