The session with the best men and the bridesmaids along with erwin.eva was super fun and definitely hilarious. I laughed all the time during the session and I certainly enjoyed myself to the max! they were amazing! Getting to know erwin.eva is a beautiful coincidence. Knowing eva is like knowing a bride with several characteristics. Do you believe that a person who could speak seven languages? Get to know eva, then you’ll know that person! How erwin.eva met was something that is quite interesting to tell to people. They just happened to hang out and eva on that day was drunk and she passed out. Erwin who happened to be there on that day became the prince charming and carried her in his car all the way back to eva’s home. Eva left her shoes in erwin’s car, then Erwin texted eva with such a simple yet very cute message, “you left your cinderella’s shoes in my car. If you want it back, you will have to allow me to take you out for a dinner.” and their cinderella’s story continues later on ^^

Brief intro about In capture and the photographer, Juvenco Pelupessy.

in.Capture is short for innovation in capture. We are a group of people who are dedicated and devoted at what we are doing. What solidifies our work is our candid, documentary approach -a well-defined artistic vision toward wedding photography.

In in.Capture, we put our best work and service at your fingertips. We offer a new outlook on wedding photography -quietly capturing the real moments as they happen for you, the bride and groom. It is our concern to use photography to tell the story of your wedding day, not dictate it for you.

I am a graduate of Photonics Engineering from one of the most well known Engineering Universities in Taiwan. People may find it quite weird with my engineering background and doing photography as my main profession. However, I felt lucky that I learnt all the technical stuffs on how to operate my lenses and my cameras to their maximum potential and how to achieve the best color possible on my Apple screen and on my printer using the knowledge I learnt from Color Management course. That’s why most of my clients are very satisfied of the quality prints I provide them.

I love weddings more than anything in my life. I love to know what has transpired between each couple and every single detail that goes beyond it; I’ll be there with you, documenting your wedding day with fantastic photographs. Not your typical wedding photographer for not your typical bride.

On how working abroad has helped broaden his experience in photography

Being able to see a new of direction in photography style overseas really broadens my horizon and having the chance to meet people from around the world, knowing the various and rich cultures from different people within their weddings.

I then realized that in order to bring up the moods and moments for the couples or a group of people, we need to communicate with our heart and therefore we need to learn about their mother tongue. I’m just lucky I know quite a few languages to start with. If you can’t get the chemistry between the couple within a picture, I would certainly blame the photographer as I believe there are no boring couples, there are just boring photographers.

On his plan to comeback to Medan to work.

Call me crazy, but I see myself as a patriotic person. I love my country and I certainly enjoy exploring the rich nature of Indonesia. I really like to contribute to my growing and potential hometown.

Another reason is I really want to take Medan’s photography industry into the next level, introducing a new direction wave of photography. A fun, lively and breathtaking direction pursuit I would say.

Every time before starting to press the shutter button on my camera, I usually will pause for a moment and try to observe around on what I should take. I usually wait and execute. I truly believe a good picture is the kind of picture that you put all of your heart work in it.

Next thing I do is the digital image editing on Aperture and Photoshop. I believe digital editing is just one of many ways to bring up more of a beautiful picture, to do deliver more of what a picture could have given and to define your own style.

On clients’ expectation

I never really try to define my own style because art is too complex to define. I believe even Picasso himself didn’t know how to describe his own work. His work is actually defined by other people (viewers).

Couples who had worked with me usually said my style is very identical with calmness and warmth, but if I have to market myself, I’d be saying if you’re working with me, I’ll be promising you 100% of dedication, professionalism, heart work and definitely friendship! =D

On his visions and challenges in becoming a great photographer.

I’d like to think that in order to be great at something, you really have to love what you do and in order to love what you do you should put 100% on what you do and in order to put your 100% on what you do you should really dedicate your life and time for it .

When you are choosing a wedding photographer, you actually trust your forever to someone. I always take my clients very seriously. I use the highest quality prints available out there, the finest material for my album and I use latest gadget possible to deliver my pictures in high quality. This is what I think makes a great wedding photographer. Being able to put your whole concentration on someone’s forever. You don’t want to trust your forever to just anyone, right?

von and rossi are the couple that i admire most. rossi was actually one of my seniors in my college, i never did realize until the day she contacted me and one thing led to another until i realized she is actually my “xue jie”. how rossi fell for von was full of warmth in the middle of the coldness. it was raining hard that day and rossi forgot to bring along her umbrella, somehow von whom from work and was planning going home, went back to college just to deliver his raincoat to rossi. that was the day rossi fell for von. what really touches my heart is i really admired them that they were an LDR couple for 5 years. i bet a lot of winding road happened during at that time. even now, von is working in dubai and rossi is working in singapore. i know it’s hard maintaining an LDR relationship, i am one of the many who failed to do so. it’s good to hear that von is moving to malaysia, which is much closer to singapore then. i really wish you both a happy marriage! =)

time really flies when you did a lot of things! a quick update on what i’m doing in singapore! i love singapore! who doesn’t? i transited in hong kong for three days before i dropped at singapore. i’ll share the pictures later (i know, i haven’t even shared the pictures of my commencement day, patience! i’m working on them 24/7 *nah i’m just bragging*)

i was invited in this program so-called experience@singapore: electronics, organized by contact singapore. it was supposed to be a program, which singapore’s EDB is working on to find talents across the universe who specialized in the electronics field to come and explore singapore: learning about what it is like working and living in singapore. from what i’ve heard singapore is no. 2 in semi-cons industry after taiwan and they are striving for no.1 . that is why we are invited to join this program and learn about singapore and the semi-cons industries in singapore.

it has been awesome and fascinating to be with people across the universe to exchange about cultures and knowledge. here are some pictures that i took and i found it quite interesting:

our second day to visit SSMC

everyone seems very serious looking at the company’s logo. i’m not sure why nicole (girl in the middle) is giggling. i bet she must have find the company logo interesting? you just never know =p

a view of singapore from the SSMC’s sky garden. a neat, well planned city. i just love the way picture shows how clean singapore is, and without traffic jam.

Then we had our dinner at Katong food trail. We had chicken rice and durian, mangosteen and rambutan as desserts!

i think johnny (the guy in pink, from taiwan) is trying to tell how to eat durian with the hands to suengwoo (the guy in light blue, from korea). somehow suengwoo facial expression is very interesting to be looked at. i think he must’ve feel disgusted to eat something sticky with his bare hand. haa haa

i just love the moments captured in these pictures, how the first picture shows yanni (from shanghai) was very excited about the famous “singapore durian” but the second she bit the durian her face started to change. she was like “eww” haa haa. yanni told me durian is very smelly and thick and somehow a bit disgusting? don’t get me wrong, i am a durian lover myself! =D

at the night we had a little walk to the orchard, then we came across this colorful bridge nearby the hotel

i’d really like to call this bridge “the rainbow bridge” just because of how colorful and very eye catching thing to be noticed nearby the hotel. my impression is that singapore is not only a growing and fast paced city, but they just have every art around the corner. singaporeans just have a high sense of art.

On the third day we actually visited Broadcom and Infineon technologies, but no cameras are allowed. we then continued onto the HDB estate

although it’s not as tensing as it may seems, but the picture somehow shows how serious everybody was. the tour guide is actually explaining how the HDB in singapore works, and people just seem very surprised and somehow interested on how the HDB in singapore works. Do you know you need to be at least married to get an apartment in Singapore? or if you are single, you must have to be at the age of 35 and above to get a house.

At the night we visited singapore’s night safari. i love it there. people say it’s too dark to see anything, but not for me. i love the animals esp. the malayan tapir! very cute and look a lot like a good blend of elephant and pig. haa haa

it’s such a coincidence to meet children from taiwan coming to visit singapore. look at the laughter and the joy they are sharing in the night safari singapore. even the children loves singapore! i’d somehow like to think singapore is a city filled with imaginations and future!

fun at night safari! yes, it was exciting, it was fun and it was fascinating! to see night animals which we have never visited before. all safari zoo supposed to be at day, am i right? uniquely singapore! =D yanni, weixi and wilson are acting like animals. i think this really showed how we love singapore’s night safari ^^

The fourth day we visited UMC and Mediatek, but we are not allowed to bring cameras either. We had a short drop at the LTA

Alfred is a funny man. He has the cheekiest bones ever! this picture shows the facial expression alfred put during the land transport lady was giving her explanation about differences of car plates in singapore. we just love alfred so much! we’re gonna miss him!

Then we had our last session as a group: here’s a picture with yuwen as the 主角

we just love yuwen. well, who doesn’t? she’s funny, energetic, very compassionate and definitely hot! (at least, that’s what i think) haa! in this picture we are actually 欺負-ing yuwen XD love the way we squeeze on to her that she was trying to protect herself with her arms from our barbaric push! haa haa. we’re not forgetting nicole too! the sweet helper who helps us a lot during the whole program! we thank you guys for all the hard work! even though it’s four days, but you guys feels like family to us! thank you guys

In this case, you might be weird looking at all the golden necklaces and bracelets surrounding 小明’s wrists and neck (which I found are very heavy, i really can’t imagine you wore those the whole day, 小明! haa!) it’s actually a tradition that should be done when you are engaged, you are supposed to wear everything your parents-in-law gave you during the tea ceremony; this is to show respect to the groom’s family. Imagine with the running here and there during your wedding day with all those heavy golden stuffs on your neck and wrists, 小明 must be a superwoman! i salute you! *the most important thing is you’re rich! haa haa! and hey call me hypocrite, but everything is about the money right?* =p

the day before the wedding day was their engagement day, which was superbly tiring. I bet they did not get enough sleep (even i don’t!) and then when 啊德 came by and picked  up 小明, after a fine lunch they felt asleep; and since the bride and the groom are not allowed to sleep or sit on their bed, they slept on the floor. that was how i got the “oops!-did-i-kill-the-bride-and-groom-? picture” later that day after everything ended, i savor 2 cups of Häagen-Dazs to end the day! thank you 啊德，小明 for trusting me in the first place to do a coverage on your wedding day! Thank you for trusting your forever to me!

iphone 4 is out! should i get a hold of it? i haven’t even bought ipad and imac and now i want an iphone 4! the improved camera and the HD recording are what that attracts me the most (don’t get me started on the display!).

iphone 3gs has been a friend indeed when i need to keep memories anytime, anywhere when i don’t have my d700 on my hand. although the dynamic range isn’t that high, but i am that kind of guy who believes: “there are no perfect pictures, there are only perfect moments.” since every person defines perfect pictures differently, but people just can tell what is a great moment: the day your son won the baseball team, the day your baby held your finger oh so tightly and that day when you and your beloved celebrate your anniversary; all those smiles and all those tears… those are the perfect moments and none perfect picture could ever beat a perfect moment i am just thankful to my 3gs for helping me keeping all those moments =D

oh yeah, the superb thing is they presented the facetime feature (which is a technology invented 5 years ago) like its the newest thing on the cellphone industry. you really got to hand the marketing over to apple! *salute*
