Waka Working With Suge Knight

Waka Flocka is expanding his Brick Squad Monopoly imprint to the West side and getting none other than Suge Knight to help handle his left coast business.

The “Round of Applause” rapper recently revealed to XXLMag.com that he was utilizing the expertise of the former Death Row CEO to help with his Cali presence saying,

“You gotta really start pulling in people in the game who know the game. Suge is not the only one. I'ma start snatching in the real ones. Suge helped me get a good movie deal. Now I need to get on the TV screen. Ain't nothing wrong with f*ckin' with some Gs. I f*ck with Master P too. They're just good for information, homie. He's helping me oversee the company. I'm not trying to be ‘Pac, I'm not trying to be Death Row. I'm Brick Squad Monopoly. My mother is still my manager. I ain't changing sh*t. It is what it is. But it's like having Jordan and Kobe. Why not play with both?"

MY VIEW

2011-10-18T11:11:00.000-07:00

Race is only a social construct which has no scientific basis. We all belong to the same species, Homo sapiens. As a species, I don't see us developing a common unity if we can't look past this unfortunate barrier. Culture is what really defines a group of people. Culture is NOT innate or inherited genetically, like skin color is, however it is learned through growth and interaction with others.

For example, if I was to take an African baby from Mali, West Africa and place that baby in, say, Tokyo, Japan, that child would grow up in relation to the respective society's culture. That child will speak, think and behave differently, when compared to a child who was raised in Mali, West Africa.

It just annoys me when race is used only for one's own agenda, promoting social inequality and racism. All I ask is, can we please look past race, because how someone is on the inside is what truly matters.

Everybody’s Doing It: New Poll Shows 50% Of The Country Wants That Kush Legalized

2011-10-18T07:17:00.000-07:00

CBS News)

Never before have more Americans believed legalizing marijuana was the right course for the country.

In a new Gallup poll, 50 percent of respondents in a nationwide survey said they believed it was time to make pot legal. About 46 percent came out against it.

Support for legalizing marijuana tended to be stronger among younger, more liberal groups, according to Gallup. Legalization received 62 approval among those aged 18 to 29, but got only 31 percent approval among those 65 and older. Liberals were twice as likely as conservatives to favor legalizing marijuana.

In a release, Gallup writes: "When Gallup first asked about legalizing marijuana, in 1969, 12 percent of Americans favored it, while 84 percent were opposed. Support remained in the mid-20s in Gallup measures from the late 1970s to the mid-1990s, but has crept up since, passing 30 percent in 2000 and 40 percent in 2009 before reaching the 50 percent level in this year's Oct. 6-9 annual Crime survey."

If the steady climb in public support for marijuana legalization continues at its current pace, politicians will soon have to address the laws that fly in the face of that movement in opinion.

Already, the National Institute on Drug Abuse reports that marijuana is America's preferred illegal drug. In 2009, the NIDA released a report estimating that 28.5 million Americans age 12 and older had abused marijuana at least once in the year prior. By contrast, 51.9 percent of Americans age 12 and older (or roughly 100 million people) had used alcohol at least once in the 30 days prior to being surveyed; while 23.7 percent had binged (5+ drinks within 2 hours.)

Last year, Gallup released a poll claiming as many as 70 percent of Americans approved of the use of medical marijuana.

This growing change in public opinion comes at a critical time for marijuana policy in America. Sixteen states have legalized the use of medical marijuana in some form, and some are even considering decriminalizing the drug's recreational use. However, the federal government, while once suggesting it would leave it up to the states, has begun promising enforce federal drug laws when it comes to marijuana. The feds recently sent letters warning that they will soon be cracking down heavily on California's famed and large medical marijuana industry.

Brass Monkey (OG Edition)

2011-10-18T06:15:00.001-07:00

Brass Monkey is a name given to a number of different cocktail recipes. As with many lesser-known cocktails that are named after colloquial expressions, there are some wildly differing recipes that share the same name.
It can refer to a cocktail consisting of equal parts beer and orange juice, or to a mixture of gin, triple sec, tequila, orange juice, sour mix and grapefruit juice[1], or to a mixture of rum, vodka and orange juice (with or without Galliano).

An alternative version of the brass monkey is a 40-ounce bottle of malt liquor that has been consumed to the top of the label and then filled with orange juice.

RICK ROSS UPDATE IT WAS THE WEED ??

2011-10-17T09:31:00.000-07:00

Well people are wondering WHAT caused the HOTTEST rapper in the game to have these medial issues. Some are speculating that his WEIGHT had to do with it.

NOT SO, says a member of Ricky's camp. The insider, who asked to remain NAMELESS claims that Rick was on a WEED BINGE. According to the insider, Rick Ross smoked "AT LEAST 100 BLUNTS" in the last 24 hours.

The insider, who asked to remain nameless claims that while Ross was on the plane, in the CONFINED SPACE, he began having a PANIC ATTACK - which could have been mistaken as a seizure. And that when they finally got him to go to sleep - he slept SO SOUNDLY, that his friends thought he DIED.

The effects of a marijuana overdose are NOT fatal. After a few days rest, most people who suffer from it are COMPLETELY recovered.

That’s the spirit!
