Proudly present to you, the photographs by Holga 135BC. This is my 2nd roll of film. 1st roll was stucked and it did not loaded well. So end up, not even 1 photo develop for the 1st film. We posed happily in Butterworth for this lomo camera but so sad to know that the film was nothing to develop. I did not give up as I was told that I need to at least try up to 5 rolls of film before I can fully develop 36pcs of photograph. Seriously, is pricey for lomography. Although the body itself is cheap but for long term, it gonna costs me a lot. Development Fee is RM 4, and if you would like those photgraphs in soft copy, you need to pay an extra charge of RM 4 or 8. I've forgotten the price. Is below RM 10. Not to forget, you need to pay for the film too. At least right now I got a few photographs from the Holga. For 2nd round, they did not scan for me due to less than 8 pcs out of 36pcs are ok. The rest BLANK. What I can do is to print it out, take a picture of it and post in my blog. Still learning, hopefully it will be alright for 3rd roll.

I was asked to post some of James's photo in Leo Club yesterday but due to heavy workload, I've rejected Lion Ong's request and asked her to get Fiona's help on this. Furthermore, I'm not good in writting "bombastic" english. Back from office and saw an update in Penang Leo Club's blog, There is a photo of the Leo Day Fund Raising Project led by me in year 2005, 4 years back. Time flies fast, a young, energetic, talkative, hyperactive and optimistic guy had gone to another world without bidding godbye to his friends. His teenage life has come to a full stop on 1st November 2009. Though, I'm not close as the rest but at least I do have memories in Leo working with this guy.

After I saw that picture, I was trying to find out my photo albums and look back those Leo photos that James was in. Photo helps to recall those olden days. It refreshed my memory and tell me he was one of the Top Fund Raisers in one of my favourite project- Leo Day Project in year 2005. Zhang Hao told reminded me this a few weeks back somemore that James and him were the TOP Fund Raisers of my project. I nearly forgot about this untill I was told.

As a token of appreciation to those who had been supporting me during my 1st Presidency in Leo Club of Penang (City) 2004-2005, I've prepared a number of President's Appreciation Awards and James was one of the recipients from Leo Club of Chung Ling High School. Again, this picture helps to recall his contribution to the Leo Projects. After he had received the small award from me, he came to me and said: Kok Sheng, my name is wrongly printed on the certificate la... I'm James Khor Wan Kai instead of James Wan Kai Khor. Can you re-print for me? hmmm... talking about this, I don't know whether I re-print or not.... :P I think I didn't. Should be alright whether the name is read as "James Wan Kai Khor" or "James Khor Wan Kai" as long as we know you are JAMES!

The 1st camp that I've organised in year 2006 under Penang Buddhist Free School Ex-Pupils Assocaition (Foyi), he was there too. You may notice he was not in blue Camp T! The reason is, he was not registered earlier and just came in the middle to join us for the camp. He looks so "special" in this picture. Obviously, he was not in the same color T as what we were wearing.

Until today, I still asking myself, "eh... real or not eh? or I was dreaming only?" ... hmmm.... Seriously, I can't accept a guy, a friend who is hyperactive in my eyes just disappear in a few hours. No choice but have to accept the fact that he has gone to another world or in better words we should say "James has migrated to another place as PR". I think this is better right? He is still with us all the time. :) Zhang Hao, frankly, I really don't know how to comfort you. After knowing that James had migrated to another place, the next thing that came to my mind is your name! I was very worry about you. Not only me, Shaw Jhee too. We were on skype the whole night long untill we both accept the fact. We do hope that you stay STRONG! Since it has already happened, we have no choice but to accept the fact and moving on. You need some days to recover from the sadness. I'm sure you can make it and say good bye to Mr. Sorrow and welcome Miss Joy back. I'm sure James agree with me too. He does not want to see so down.. sad and... sleepless! Cheer up brother!!!!!

I was about to sleep last night at 10pm+ after back from town and hard rock hotel. Suddenly, Shaw Jhee sent me a urgent message in Skype when I was on my way to click log off. I though he was trying to talk nonsense with me again but not for this time. It was a serious big case that he was informed by his friend through MSN that James was missing. Initially, he thought it was a Virus message with The Star's URL and he just ignored it. After a while, another friend sent the same message to him again. He was shocked and thought that his friend must be kidding with him. I try to call Kang Leng, Yun Ni, Zhang Hao and Chee Wey to inform them about this and ask them to verify whether it is real or not that 3 UTAR students drowned at waterfalls and one of them is James Wan Kai Hor. Unfortunately, the James Wan Kai Khor mentioned in the online news is our friend..... We both were trying to say he got 吉人天相, he will be saved but... too bad... it was already a fact that the body they found was James..... haih... Last 2 days, like what Fiona stated in her FB, we talked happily about James and we did mentioned him on our last night dinner too. His sudden death is tragic and heartbreaking. Like what some of the friends posted in their FB, life is fragile and unpredictable. Appreciate every single one that next to you as you will not know what will be going on next.....

Trying to check back my blog post and found the above 2 pictures that we took duirng Chinese New Year or Thaipusam this year at Shaw Jhee' House. We were tossing the coconuts together. This gonna be in history now. He will not be joining us next year in this celebration again as he is gone now. He has walked away without saying good bye to all his friends. 人算不如天算！That's the last picture we had i guess. We have lost not only a friend but dedicated Leo member too. Your contributions and achievements in Leo Program and society will always be remembered by all of us! Of course, we will miss your smile and laughter too. To our TOP Alpha Leo Secretary James Khor, may you rest in peace in another world. 阿弥陀佛！Roar~

p/s: To Bro ZH, stay strong! ok? I don't know what I should say now to comfort u but stay strong ok? Since it had already happened just face it and accept it. .... take care bro!

Leo-NKF Health Screening Project @Prangin Mall

I was invited by Akira to attend thier joint Leo Project a day before last Sunday. It was a hectic saunday to me. In the early morning, I have to attend and conduct Foyi Sunday School Graduation Ceremony. Luckily I managed to attend this "Leo-NKF Health Screening Project" by Leo Club of George Town Mutiara, Tanjung Penang, Tanjung Putra and Gergetown City Omega after Lunch with my fellow Foyi-mates. MX was with me until I went to meet Tict Chyuan for Prayer @ Thousand Stairs, Paya Terubong.

As I mentioned in my new Leo photo blog specially created for "My Journey as 1st Vice District Leo Prsident" :), this was my very 1st time attended a Leo Project as the position I mentioned above. Not to forget to thanks Joshua too. I came out the name for my photo Leo photo blog "DoYouRoar" was actually from his DoYouNokia's blog. Need to give this credit to Joshua if not he gonna sue me!! :)

Finally, I've found out some photographs that staisfied my requirement. I've attcached my Canon EOS 400D with Nikon Speedlight SB-600 and tried to take a few photos last night in a dinner at Jade Palace Restaurant. The result is awesome!! Actually I saw a number of Canon DSLR photographers attached their body with Nikon Speedlight before. At that time, I told my friends that they must be crazy! In fact, they are not crazy. It does fuctioning well with Nikon speedlight. It's even better than my expensive Canon 580EXII Speedlight leh. Or perhaps, I don't even know how to use my speedlight well? Is time for me to read the Manual liao!! By theway, I attended Foyi appreciation dinner last night. Zhi Yang and GF, Min Xiang, Sau Jie, Zhang Ying and Zhang Hao were there too. Although those pictures looks like over-expose but I just like the outcome! :) what do you think?

Foyi Sunday School Graduation Ceremony 2009

This is my 2nd year conducting the Foyi Sunday School Graduation Ceremony as the Chairman of the school. First of all, my sincere appreciation to all my friends in Sunday School that rendering thier helping hand in managing the school. Frankly, it is not an easy task to manage a school. After being 2 years of Foyi Cultural and Education Committee Chairman, I'm pleased to have my dearest foyi-mates to join me in this Sunday School.

As usual, the ceremony started off with 三寶歌 followed by Welcoming Speech and Report by yours truly, Address by Penang Buddhist Free School Ex-Pupils' Association Chairman, Prize and Momentoes Giving and Performanaces by the Children. I have video-tapped those performance with my Xpress Music. Will share those performances after I upload into YouTube.

The ceremony ended at 11.45am. A light refreshment was served for all children and parents. The burden that I've been carrying for this had finally come to an end for this year. At least, I no need to worry this and that especially lack of volunteer teachers and students. So if you are interested to be one of the volunteer teahcer, I welcome you! Ok? I need at least 6 teachers for the school. Do email me or drop your comment if you are interested to be. Tang Tang~ Time to show out my new girl girl in my blog! A new toy that I owned recently- Holga 135BC Lomo Camera! I got it last 2 days from Lily, a friend from Hong Kong during her visit to Penang. I brought along Holga to office today and tried a few shoots in the office during lunch time. Everyone was eagerly look forward to view the photos. Too bad, I gonna take 30+ more before I send for development. It is quite exciting when you don't know what the outcome will be. Unlike the digital camera, you may view it immeditaley after you snap. So tonight, I'm going to take a few shoots at Butterworth Nine Emperor Gods Temple with friends.... Yeah.. this gonna be something new and interesting toy exists in my photography life now! :)

First of all, on behalf of Leo Club of Penang (City) as well as Leo Clubs in Region 1 Penang, I welcome Leo Club of South Kowloon Hong Kong to the Pearl of the Orient, Penang. They are Lily, Nelly, Kong and KDa, friends that I made during my last year end trip to Hong Kong. RCC Ong Lai Peng and Leos from Penang City, Tanjung Penang, Tanjung Putra and Ipoh Unity hosted a simple welcoming dinner for them.

After dinner, we headed to Batu Ferringhi and ended up at Hard Rock Cafe + Hard Rock Hotel. It was my 1st time step into Hard Rock Hotel and Cafe. Next week, we are going to enjoy our one night stay in the Hard Rock Hotel! Looking forward to it now~ Will share again about the experience staying a night in the hotel.

After photo taking, here we came- Hard Rock Cafe! Before entering the cafe, you are requested to show your IC to ensure that you are not under age. Frankly, I don't like the noisy environment like pubs etc but suprisingly I like Hard Rock cafe. May be, it is just suit my taste. Everyone just sitting over there, enjoying the live band with liquor. Come to the environment inside the cafe, it's amazed. The live band was so energetic. One word to describe "KENG". Thumbs up for the environment. Will check it out more next weekend!!! Hard Rock Hotel, we are coming next week!!!

Welcoming Ceremony for the Nine Emperor Gods @ Gat Macalum Street

Is Nine Emperor God festival now. Today is the 5th day of the festival. I'm going to start on vegetarian this coming Saturday for last 3 days. I've been observing a strict vegetarian diet for the last 3 days since I was Form 5. Last Saturday, I've witnessed the "welcoming ceremony" for the Nine Emperor Gods at Fat Lebuh Macallum. Just a feww shoots I took and now would like to share them rigth here before the festival ends. I'm now looking for friends to go Thousand Stairs this coming Saturday Morning, anyone? I started to pay my visit to the temple since I started to observe vegetarian diet during this festival. Tentatively, I'm planning to visit Butterworth Nine Emperor Gods Temple tomorrow if everything goes on smoothly. Anyone? It is Big and beautiful!

Min Xiang's Birthday on Penang Buddhist Free School's Appreciation Dinner

I'm late for this post but at least I shared it out now. Last Saturday was Min Xiang's Birthday. He joined me for Penang Buddhist Free School's Appreciation Dinner at Malaysian Buddhist Association's Hall, Burmah Road. As usual, he was the photographer to our Penang Buddhist Free School Ex-Pupils's Association. His responsibility is to click and snap. Supposely, I should buy the cake when I was on the way to the dinner but I've forgotten to do so. Luckily, we had Him Keat who joined us later to buy the cake to the dinner. We celebrated with Min Xiang with a cake. Although it was a simple but yet memorable to him. The Foyi sunday school students, Hip Hop Dancing Teachers and the committee members sang birthday song for him. After we sang, uncle requested the PA system person to play the birthday song again and we sang out loud again.

After the birthday song, it was cake cutting time. See, that's what the students "accidently pushed" his face towards the cheese cake.... Too Bad, no cream on his face. Fortunately, my birthday never have it with this group of naughty students! lol Everyone was excited ...happy.... laughed out loud! At least, he had goe thru a memorable night with us. Happy Belated Birthday to Min Xiang once again! and Thanks for everything you've contributed to Foyi too.

槟城庄氏四美堂/庄严同宗会

On 3rd of October, I drove my mum to Kimberly Street and attended a prayer ceremony at Ch'ng Si Bee Tong (Clan Association for 庄). This was my 1st time after joining the association for 3 years+ as life member attending their Ancestor Worship on 15th of 8th month of Lunar Calendar.

After prayer, we were searching for my ancestors from the Ancestral Tablets. Finally we both managed to find my grandparents and great-grandparents too. Actually, there was a list as as shown above for us to find but we only realized after a few minutes later.

No friends I have in this association actually. All the "active" members in a clan association usually comes form older generation group, Uncles and Aunties. Perhaps, I'm the youngest member? After this prayer, I was invited to host their dinner a week after that as an Emcee. This one I sincerely need to thank the friends who recommended me to the Hon Secretary or else I wont be so fortunate meeting up with a group of uncles and aunties. I guess from now on, I'm no longer able to run off their any activities. They will surely call me to participate in any activity organised by the association. OMG........

Day Trip to Pulau Aman for Mee Udang

I heard about Pulau Aman quite some times but No "leg" to go and pay a visit to this little Island in Penang. Finally, I had been there yesterday! Try google-ing and find out where is Pulau Aman. We took 5-10 minutes boat ride to Pulau Aman from Batu Kawan's Jetty and it costs us RM6 per person. My main purpose was to try the Mee Udang which everyone says it is nice whereas BA was bringing his friend from KL touring around the little island. Of course, I joined them too la. We took a lot of photographs in the Island. Guess how long we stayed there? It was about 2 and half hours. gosh~ Walking under the hot sun just to explore the little Island.

Let's Talk about the Mee Udang. I was told that there are 2 restaurants selling Mee Udang in the Island. Restoran Terapaung (Floating Restaurant) is the best as per one of the Makcik who recommended us. So ladies and gentlemen, remember the name of the restaurant. It is on your left hand side after you have entered the Island. Each of us ordered Mee Udang with a Thai Coconut. Guess how much we paid? RM 10... I think the noodles costs us RM 6 whereas the Coconut is RM 4. Reasonable price as it comes with 3 big prawns. They are only selling Mee Udang Goreng, Mee Udang Rebus (as what we ordered), and Nasi Udang Goreng. If you wish to have more than that, you can buy Mantis Prawns, Tiger Prawns, Crabs.... outside the restaurant from the fishermen who sell all these and bring them to the restaurant and I think they will cook for you.

After our Mee Udang Lunch, we headed back at around 2pm and reached Island at about 3pm. After shower I rush to my tuition class,. I was late again. Anyway, it was a fruitful day trip to me. Thanks to BA for driving us.

There were 3 reportors attended the Foyi Mooncake Festival last friday. Today I managed to get 2 press release from Guang Ming Daily and Sin Chew Jit Poh. As what I expected, they will only publish a picture showing the crowd that we had for the night as the whole programme was delay due to long waiting of our invited YBs and the lantern parade. Foyi celebrates Mooncake Festival

Yeah Yeah Pong Pong~~ Yeah Yeah Pong Pong~~ That's what I asked the children to shout when they were in the lantern procession last night organised by Foyi (Penang Buddhist Free School Ex-Pupils Association). There were not much people that actually know the traditional way that the kids would do during the latern procession. Of course, I'm one of them. I remember that when I was a kid in a Kampung, I saw a group of children, other than carried thier own lanterns, some of them were striking the empty MILO Tins with a stick. At the time, I was told that by doing this, it will actually help to keep the moon FULL and ROUND and also to prevent the dog of heaven from swallowing the moon during its eclipse. This is what I understand la~ Do correct me If I'm wrong :)

By the way, other than lantern procession, we've prepared a lot of interesting program to entertain the guests. I was the Organizing Chairperson that's why I was arranged to be seated in the first front row. Empty seats were reserved for the YBs but they were late that caused our event to dealy for at least half an hour :( I felt so sorry to the reportors that waiting us to start the ceremony. Paiseh~ After I've delivered my speech, it was my President's turn who clained that I talked too much after seeing my speech is longer than him. lol

After a few minutes we started the ceremony, YBs' representatives arrived. They were YB Jeff Ooi and YB Jagdeep Singh's Personal Assistant and YB Tan Sri Koh's Political Secretary. YB Jagdeep Singh also donated an YORK's Air Conditioner to our association with the witness of the guests present.

when Kok Hong and Calvin in Penang

Time to post some photos on Kok Hong's trip to Penang. I've actually blog on it last few weeks back. What I gonna do now is just a short post with photos on his days in Penang. On the 1st Day, I brought him to Bukit Mertajam for a wonderful breakfast and visit St. Ann Church. It was my 1st time driving in BM without contacting my colleagues asking the direction. Of course, I need to thank my GPS.

After back from BM, the next stop was Chew Jetty. He liked Chew Jetty the most. I think the main reason is the toilet bowl that they have it there. See his silly face ...hmmm...

Khoo Kongsi...another place where he interested too. hmm...this time not becuase of the toilet bowl but the real history behind the building. Atteh same time, I learnt a lot about Khoo Kongsi too. So I think there will be not a problem to me if I bring friends from other place to visit here again. but...I still need to pay for the entrance fee.. :(

After KH joined his friends , Calvin reached Penang. This guy who came fr Taiping just to suprise KH. Unfortunately, KH did not feel suprise also :) After Leo project and tuition, I went to town pick him up and drove him to siamese temple to pay a visit. Other than this temple, there were no other places to visit.

A pciture of this tall guy. I had dinner with him @ Super tanker after everything and waited KH back fr sunset bistro @ queensbay. I shall put a full stop for these 2 friends' visit. Hope they like Penang and do re-visit Penang at anytime. :)

Penang Leos GO GREEN Together @ ICCP 2009

#1: ahKOK had participated in the recent held International Coastal Clean Up campaign by USM together with his own Penang (City) Leo members and Penang Region 1 Leos and Lions. He was appointed to be the photographer for this campaign but he joined the other Leos to clean the beach instead.

#2: He had collected a lot of unwanted items or what we used to call "RUBBISH" from the Teluk Bahang Beach. Itmes collected include Plactic Bag, Polypropylene Raffia, Polystyrene Boxes, Aluminium Tins, Plactic Bottle etc.

#3- He found a gunny sack as well. It was filled with sand. Luckily he wore glove on his both hands. So no problem to pick up those items.

#4: after pick up the rubbish, Edwin will jot down what we had collected. This is so called DATA COLLECTION. They will compile all the data and summarize how much ribbish we've collected. Whereas, Daniel will be the one who carry the big bag of rubbish. Well done!

#5: When the campaign near to the end, ahKOK found a diaper! Shit... It was so disgusting! He not even give an eye to the diaper and straight away bring to Edwin for recording. They told ahKOK that the diaper contains poop. OMG... Puke~

#6: The diaper smelt so unpleasant till they had to hold their breath.

#7: Finally, It was thrown into the big plastic bag. Hopefully, everyone will be aware of this and start to do something to protect the environment by not throwing any rubbish anywhere.

#8: Everyone was working hard and gave their helping hand to preserve the environment. Thumbs up! Well done to all the participants in this meaningful clean up campaign. You had just saved the sea creature from suffering in contaminated water. District 308 B2 Region 1 Penang Leos, ROAR~~~~ Btw, we had divided into 2 teams ( 2 beaches) and our team had collected 300Kg rubbish in just a few hours!

Leo Club of Penang (City) was one of the participating clubs. The members who present in this clean up project were Edwin tan, Daniel Khor, Tict Chyuan, Victor, Jameson, Stanley, ahKOK, Roxanne, Sammy, Min Xiang, Him Keat and not to forget our member who led this project ....Leo Vincent Khor! Roar~ Penang City supports GO GREEN project!

Cock and Kok @ Ipoh

After having our Bean Sprout Chicken at Onn Kee, it was time for us to go back to Penang. While heading to get our car, we passed by this shop "Ayam Garam S.T.S". This Salted Chicken shop looks nice or may be it was renovated. The colour of the shop is red and yellow. It looks fresh and attractive. At the first place, I felt my t-shirt colour was alike to the shop colour. So I decided to take a picture in front of the shop. This is just a normal pose in front of the shop. Howver, guess and see what did I do next?

Here I show to you! It is not only the shop colour resembles my T-shirt colour but the next pose that I had was totally perfect and matched with the shop logo. Looks alike right? Since I used to be called as Chicken (ahKOK=ahCOCK), may as well I pose like the chicken in the logo and let you guys to comment whether I really looks like a chicken or not...Anyway, I don't think I looks like la... So dont put me together with Chicken next time.......I got no relation with Chicken.

Cari Tauge Ayam @ Onn Kee, Ipoh

Yes I got those pictures from Facebook already so I can blog now. In my previous post, I mentioned that it was my first time seeing so many people waiting to be seated just for the the Ngah Choy Kai. By the way, we dined at Restoran Onn Kee (Tauge Ayam), next to the Restoran Lou Wong.

From the above 2 photos, I'm sure you understand the "situation". It was crowded with a lot of people. Seriously, I never seen this before in Jalan Yau Tet Sin, Ipoh. In this area, other than Ngah Choy Kai, you still can go for Salted Chicken, Funny Fountain Soya Bean Soya Bean & Tau Fu Fa, Kaya Puff, Pamelo, Hiong Piah etc.. To me this place is very convenience where you may get most of the things that you want in just one place.

I was in Ipoh last Monday with Raymond, Fiona and OngLai to attend a meeting with Leos from Ipoh and Selangor. After the meeting, our 1st District 308 B2 Leo President Elect Eliza hosted this early dinner. With us were Weng Siong and Jonathan from Leo PJI, Eliza, Chee Keat, Anna and Geraldine from Ipoh Unity. I think you should know what we had ordered by seeing the above 4 photos.

The famous artists from Taiwan, Hong Kong and even Malaysia also visited Onn Kee before and they were good enough to take a picture with the owner. Picture is like a testimonial. I'm sure you will agree with me too. By seeing these pictures, it tells you how tasty is thier chicken. I mean the bean sprout chicken la which had succesfully attract the attention of the famous artists to have a try on the Ipoh famous Ngah Choy Kai.

How was it? So so nia....May be on the day, thier business was too good which indirectly "affect" the chicken quality (run water). Not really as good as what I think I mean the chicken. The Bean Sprout, Fish Ball, Meat Ball and Hor fun were ok. Sunshine Market Food Court's Bean Sprout Chicken is still better than that. I should revisit this shop during off peak season.

At first when I reached this place, I thought there was a promotion for the bean sprout chicken or giving free bean sprout chicken but it was not. Oh my god, I never see so much people waiting for the Ngah Choy Kai before. The restoran was crowded with a lot of customers who came from far and near just for the Ngah Choy Kai and we were one of them too. There were many people waiting outside the restaurant. We waited for half an hour for the Bean Sprout Chicken to be served right in front of us.... Seriously, I was suprised to see so much people came to Ipoh for the Chicken. Along the way we came for the Chicken, the whole road was like... 1 or 2 cars..... like a dead town... but when we reached here...everything change in sudden. Let's see what we ordered for the next post... waiting the photos in OL's camera to be ready for us to grab... :)

Penang Hokkien Lunch Gathering @ Hot Wok Nyonya & Local Cuisine with Miku John

Who is this? Yeah, he is Aloysius, a baby son to ahTox. Then, who is ahTox? A guy who I knew him thru PenangHokkien. What is PenangHokkien then? It is a very first podcast entirely in Penang style Hokkien. Funny and casual chats with no topic restrictions. They talk about things that you will only share with your closest friends. May contain Adult Content and Language.

I know about PenangHokkien a few years back from Nicholas. When I have nothing to do, I will log on to the website and listen to those recordings that they've recorded. The evil laughter of the owner, Miku John will surely brighten your day. Personally, I like those ghost stories. It is the most interesting one. I remember that the 1st ghost story I listened to was Chung Tuuuu High School which I heard about it before actually but...not that fun and scary without the horror sound effect that you may find it in PenangHokkien.

Last Saturday, I was invited by ahTox uncle to a lunch gathering with Miku John at Hot Wok Nyonya and Local Cuisine. It was my very first time meeting up with John. I'm not that famous because I never join any recording. In fact I'm just a listener not contributor. Among them, I know are ahLeng, ahTox, Kevin, TauSarPhneah, and the late HNKP. We met once during last CNY at eGate Noodles Station.

Some of the members were there with their kids and spouse.

This lunch gathering, frankly, I didnt know who is who other than those members that I met before. What I did was, Hi~~ Hi~~I think is time for me to find out who is who with the help from ahLeng or ahTox. Everyone will have thier own "nick" name in PenangHokkien. hmm...Anyway, nice meeting up with eveyone and at least I know some from Facebook after they add me :) Have a great journey to Japan, John.

Chew Jetty + Khoo Kong Si + Poh Hock Seah + Kok Hong

I host this budak for about 2-3 days last weekend when he paid a visit to this so called beautiful Island in Malaysia, an island that full of Chinese Culture- Penang. :) He is a blogger whom I know thru blogging, a person who has is has KOK too in his name and he is the person who taught me Japanese sometimes to communicate with my Japanese Host Family "全部偽物".

Those photos posted here are small in size and without edit. This is due to I'm kind of Lazy recently to on photoshop, edit and resize it. So I choose to use another easy way to make those photos become small in size and easy to post in blog. As a result, those photos are not in Good Quality! Picture quality and colour might out....

I drove him to not much places in Penang actually. Bukit Mertajam for Makan and St. Ann Church, Chew Jetty, Poh Hock Seah, Khoo Kong Si, Kuan Yin Temple, Makan the best Penang Food, visiting the Getai in conjunction with the Hungry Ghost Festival, etc. Too bad, we dont have time to visit Bukit Bendera, Balik Pulau etc... Luckily he did visit Batu ferringhi Sunset Cafe with his friends on his last evening in Penang. Sunset Cafe is the very best place in Penang where you can see the BEST sunset at 6:45pm. Not much people know where it is actually.

(Poh Hock Seah and Khoo Kongsi)

Let's talk about Khoo Kongsi. I think most of the Penanites do not know that you need to pay RM 5 for the entrance fee to Khoo Kongsi. Upon your payment, you will receive 2 Khoo Kong Si Postcards and a sticker to enter the building. This was my 2nd time paying the entrance fee in order to visit Khoo Kongsi. Hopefully, in the coming month, our Hong Kong Leo pals will not ask me to visit this again. :) Lily, I promise you that I will go to Langkawi with you all provided I'm invited and some other F.O.C. Georgetown herritage sites.

Anyway, it is worthwhile to pay RM 5. Initialy, I was asking mysely why I still need to pay when I'm born in Penang. After entering the building, you will know where your RM 5 contribution goes to. For more pictures, stay tune and wait me to edit before posting (hopefully I will). You will understand more about the history of the buidling and there will be someone will kind to explain and answer your queries. That's what Kok Hong did. He loves Penang as he told me. Penang is just like another country. What makes him said so? It is because Penang has everything, Penang has more Chinese. From food and shopping to historical buidlings, Penang has it all.
