A night in Klang

Last weekend I was in Klang to attend Leo Club of La Salle Klang's IR night at Klang Executive Club. Shern Huong was the man who drove me from Puchong to Klang. He didn't know how to reach Klang actually. We just followed the direction given by Waze . As usual, the traffic on the federal
Highway was congested. Furthermore, we were lost too. This was his first attempt driving out from subang and puchong. With the help from Christ, an ex- Klang Leo, we managed to arrive the destination!

I have sense of satisfaction when I managed to take time off and Attend La Salle Klang Leo Club function which I never been to since the year I joined in the district as 1st District Vice Predident back in year 2009. Thanks to Christ for influencing and persuading me to make it happen! It was a great night catching up with them. Thanks for the great hospitality!

Counting down everyday. There is 97 more days to go. It hurts me, it polishes me, it develops me until it makes me not only love but hate at the same time. Ending the tough and challenging journey in next 97 days. There are few more missions to achieve! Hopefully I will have a great journey. To the little men, I shall revenge in 97 days later. I will be back!

3rd Leo District 308B2 Leo Cabinet Meeting 2011-2012

This is my 3rd time chairing the Leo Cabinet Meeting as the District President. As a meeting chairman, the only thing that will make you feel great is when you have most of the attendees present in the meeting from far and near. It wasn't easy to carry a meeting that everyone can attend but at least this meeting was so far the best one to me.

Pre-board meeting was held in Penang back in June 2011, 1st meeting was held in Ipoh, Perak back in August 2011and the 2nd one was held in Penang back in November 2011. I'm pleased to call the 3rd meeting in Alor Setar, Kedah last Saturday at Lions Club of Alor Setar Host Club house.

The highlight of this meeting was the nomination of District President (DP) 1st and 2nd District Vice President for next fiscal year 2012-2013. Time does fly fast. There is another 4months to end my journey as DP. It was full of challenge. I would say it is not an easy task to work with people you don't know know in deep. I have been gone through the toughest period. Tears and sweats are my companion in the journey. There are lot of obstacles that stop me from achieving more. Mostly due to those people who resist the young one from doing better than them.

Perhaps I'm over tension that's why I've admitted to Hospital twice during my presidency. No matter how tough the journey will be for the next 4months, as long as I got the support behinds from my fellow cabinet officers, I will not regret for anything.

Gurney Paragon Italiannies

The initial plan was dining at Gurney Paragon TGIF. Plan changed due to Brother decided to try the new restaurant next door- Italiannies. The environment is cozy with super friendly waiters but the foods served are not worth for the value we paid. The Lasagna is terribly cooked. Not cheesy but salty. Totally out of our expectation. We were told that the pizza is their signature dish, so we ordered the classic pizza. When it was served and put into our mouth, all of us felt disappointed. If you have a better choice try not to take risk!

The Chinese population in Malaysia

There is only 22% of us in Malaysia. Im pretty sure most of the Chinese know the reason behind. In another 5 to 10 years the chinese population will still remain at this range or even lower if the cost of living is not improving. Whether you are married or not, this has been a big concern to the young one. Hmmmm money... Money .... Money.....

Leo club of Tanjung Penang under the sponsorship of New Century Lions Club of Tanjung Putra has successfully revived and back to service after year. As DP, I'm glad to see the club is being "reactivated" and had also recruited 20 over members. At least the club is still there and the lions club has the motivation and passion to ensure the club is back rather than giving up and eventually close down. My heartiest congratulation to the new team of members and hope to see more and more people in our society is benefitted with your helping hands.

This is what people used to call "Penang, truly Malaysia" a place where you not only can hunt for nice foods but nice people with tones of great history behind. Today if you still can see those folks in nyonya costume it means how good and passionate the penangnites appreciate the culture left behind by the ancestors! Back stage crew for Taiwanese concert at Pisa

Staying home for days and decided to work as an event crew which I never try before. Last night was the Taiwanese artist concert at Pisa. A bunch of friends from Leo club were part of the event crew too. I was assigned to the backstage ushering the artist together with kelvin. Taking picture with the Taiwanese artist wasn't difficult for us. But we didn't take the advantage neither. The superior ordered us not to take and get signature so being a good staff we obey his order or else 8 of them will have a single photo shot with us lol. Anyway, It was a nice experience.

Xmas Straits Quay 2011

On the 9th of December, right after our company team building at Premium Lanes, all of us were heading to town to continue our non-stop makan trip. Our First stop was at Tong Pak Fu, Pulau Tikus for dessert and our dinner was at Xuan Xin Steamboat, Tanjung Tokong. Honestly, stomach was pretty full last night. That's why "Eat more, Out more" this phrase suddenly came into my mind. I was glad that I had released those in SQ (Straits Quay) as I couldn't endure anymore. Perhaps, the mango coconut drinks that I had at Tong Pak Fu was the main cause of my smooth "digestion". Taken a few shoot together with my colleagues at Straits Quay after a drink at Coffee bean! Yes, we had drinks again! The whole stomach was full of liquid until I have to wake up in the late midnight to release it. Wonderful outing with bunch of colleagues.

看了《那些年》，让每一个人都想起中学时期的自己。
那小弟也不例外。

那时候，科技还不是那么的发达。
比起现在的学生，差别还蛮大。

班上是清一色，没有好像《那些年》里头那么精彩。
上学放学都由伟大的母亲一手包办。
不要说泡妞，连逛街看戏的时间都没。
没什么精彩的事件让我记得。
学业上，麻是一般，没有竞争力。
所以免谈。

最精彩，还是少狮会及学长团。
而少狮会也就是我的生活良伴之一。

那时候，学兄都灌输对少狮会错的看法。
少狮会往往都会被标签为“泡妞”的平台。

其实也对啦，有赖于少狮会，第一个也就是因为它才有她。
哦，要开始讲秘密噢。

在还没讲之前，其实少狮会还蛮好的咯。
如果没有它，就没有机会接触到女生。
如果没有它，就没有机会认识到女生。

这样，在会内，我和学兄弟们就有了共同的话题那就是女生。

往往都会有类似《那些年》里头的画面。
几个男生共同喜欢上同一名女生。
每一个就会绞尽脑汁表现自己，讲衰他人。
这叫做竞争力！

那时候我在向其实做女生还蛮幸福。
同时间，有那么多男生追求。
如果是男生的话，女生会比较少吧！
那些年的女生纯属保守派。
比起现在，有非常大的分别！

写情信就是追女生必备之计。
小弟也不例外。
初中一时来回信函还不少。
到今天我还收着。
还记得几年前，我们两还互交起来呢！
等一下，我所谓的互交是互相交换哦。
不要随便幻想。
这个她，我俩暧昧但最终就好像《那些年》，没有交往。
其实简直就好像《那些年》的情景。
她对我有意识，我也对她有意识。
就是开不了口。
也许，以前的我没有损友吧。
乖孩子一名。哈哈。要不然。。。

至于我所谓的“第一个也就是因为它才有她”就等下一贴才聊吧！

回想起这些年我所为这组织的奉献
回想起那些年我和朋友一起的付出

因为他人的自私及无知
因为他人的贪恋及霸权

这几十年的组织就因为他的领导而让我开始感觉到政治的味道越来越重
简直把这所谓的具有地位性，人人仰慕，全球最大的服务组织推到谷底。

这几十年花的时间金钱算起来还不少
一心全为了“服务社会”这四个字。

身边朋友常会问为何浪费这么多时间心血？
我的答案永远还是那句话-那就是“兴趣”。

身为一名人称年轻有为的领袖，我万万也想不到他竟然会在其他会员面前讲非事实的话。
上位前他已经是闻名出尔反尔，讲一套做一套，没有绅士风度的男人。
再加上最近他那女人招数，真叫人拿他没办法。

样样事情都要“亲力亲为”
需要他人代劳做什么？
这样厉害，到不如自己来做！

论经验，他没
论风度，他没
论口才，他没
论大方，他没
论礼貌，他没
论烂招，他有
论娘招，他有

口口声声说让他们做，让他们有机会发挥
这一些都是一派胡言！

做一点男人事，不喜欢就对那个人讲
而不是透过另外一方传话。
往往做一些见不得光的事就有如偷情。

心血全没了。
都没有了。
现在只有失望。
我一心想要改进改革的机会几乎没了。
对你的尊重也没了。

一句话这组织因为你而变质。
不是我在说，连身边的也赞同。

Visit to Kota Bahru for KB Central Leo Installation

11 August: Penang to KB, it took approximately 8 Hours to reach. It was a long yet tiring journey. Together with me was Him Keat. This was my 2nd visit to Kota Bahru, Kelantan for this year. Back in February, I took Firefly to attend Yaa Lay's Wedding Dinner and this round, I took bus to attend Leo Club of Kota Bahru Central's Installation. Thanks to Jason and Sing Sing for the great hospitality when myself and my president were there. We met DG Dr. Ben, a Lion who I have known for years since the day he was a DC for Leo. We had great food, great time with great people in KB. Although we were in a hurry as the next day morning I need to travel down to KL to attend Leo Club of Methodist College KL Formation on Saturday but we appreciate every single minute we spent together. Too bad we couldn't stay longer to enjoy a full day trip in KB. Will be back next round!

Just back from Raja Uda. Paid a visit to 9 Emperor Temple over there on its last day of celebration. Together with me were my dear 60D and friend who drove me there. Had a nice time with my 60D. It has been long long time since my last outing with my 60D for non-leo event. Perhaps, I should spend more time with it, with what I used to do.

924 924 924. I know it is just a set of number. To the 4D lover, they will place bets. 924 meant a lot to myself. It was not only my installation as the Leo District 308 B2 Leo President coincidentally, it was also his birthday. Too bad, you were not there physically to witness my installation as Penang City member. However, i believe you were there to support me to bless us for a successful night. One thing I'm touched of during the process of organizing this dinner is I have received all my friends and Leos support. I really touched and thankful for what all my friends who supported me by giving advertisement, donations, performances and also attendance to the dinner to make the dinner as grand as what I wish to see. From the bottom of my heart, a big thank you to all for your great support when I really need it. To those who never give a single cents or any other support, I would like to thank you too because of you, I know that I don't have to dependent on you, I know that there are more supports out there other than you who suppose to be my main pillar. Let's continue to believe that there is always a hope, and miracle when you need help, breakthrough on whatever you have done previously and of course excel in every single thing we have looked forward. Once again, thanks to all my good great friends of mine. you guys are simply awesome.

Angry bird is everywhere nowadays. Not only adult knows about it, even a small kid, an old folk also know what is Angry Bird! There is a case where I saw a ah ma buying an angry bird soft toy from a stall in the wet market! She even know there are different kinds of angry birds too!! Wau~ I gonna ask my mum and see whether she knows about it or not! Must let her catch up what's trending in the market now! :D

Greetings to all Leos in District 308 B2, I'm the District Leo President Candidate 2011-2012, 1st DVP Kok Sheng! Another 2 more days, we shall meet each other in 38th MD 308 Leo Forum in Johor Bahru! Once again, I hereby calling all Voting Delegates to support me as the next District President, Leo District 308 B2, Malaysia on this coming Sunday- the Sub-District 308 B2 Leo Forum! Your support and endorsement are greatly appreciated and hope to work closely and together with everyone of you in coming term! Without any further ado, let me share my Vision and main Missions as your next District President!

In Line with the next District Governor’s Theme “We Believe”, my theme as next DP is "Believe, Breakthrough, Excel". Belief is an important element for sucess as it drives action. To excel, we must first BELIEVE in ourselves and start taking action before we have confidence in making a difference in our respective community. In Leo Club, everyone of us are given a plenty of opportuniteis. With the given opportunities, Leos should always strive for your best while making a difference, dare to BREAKTHROUGH. If there is no breakthough, there will not be no great new ideas. Let's make a diffrence together and motivate others to EXCEL in any undertaking.

VISION

To develop quality members through education and training, further promote Lions Club International Youth Program and build a quality image of Leo District 308 B2 in Administrative work, Projects and Activities.

Missions:-

Leo Leadership Training Program
- To provide leadership training opportunities to all Leo members in the District in order to equip the Leo members with Lions/Leo knowledge such as protocol and related skills such as leadership, problem solving, and public speaking etc.
- At the same time, promoting CLD program and train the Leos be a CLD speakers in support to our District Education Program.

80% MMR Submission to Lions Clubs International (LCI)
- To coach every Leo club to submit the Monthly Membership Report to LCI in order to ensure every Leo member in District 308 B2 is registered with LCI with a membership number.

Youth Exchange
- To provide 1st hand information of our District 308 B2 Youth Exchange Program to Leo members in District 308 B2 in order to ensure all Leo members are benefited from Lions Clubs International Youth Programs.
- To involve Leo Clubs (especially Ex-YE) in organizing YE Camp/ YE Welcoming Dinner/ YE Farewell Dinner in order for Leos to better aware of this LCI Program and encourage thier particiaption in this Program.

Leo Membership Retention and Extension
- To encourage the Alpha Leo members who have reached the age of 18 to continue their membership in Omega Leo Clubs.
- To encourage Past Presidents to continue thier service at District Level.
- To encourage Lions-Leo Joint Project/ Alpha-Omega Leo Joint Project/ Fellowship Project in order to expose the Leos to Omega Leo Clubs as well as Lions Club.

Rebranding Leo District 308 B2
- To issue quarterly E-Newsletter and disseminate to all Leo Clubs in the District to ensure all Leo Clubs are well connected with each other and always have handful information to share with members during meetings.
- Timely update on www.leo308b2.org.my in connecting with all members in the District.
- All updates will be done firstly at Twitter (leodistrict308b2). All Leo Clubs are encouraged to have twitter accounts and live-tweet their club’s projects with key word #leo308b2 incorporated as well as Facebook account.

Green Initiative
- To continue our Leo District Green effort in ensuring no polystyrene utensils and no plastic bag are being used in Leo Functions and encourage all Leo Clubs in promoting Green awareness in their local community to save our precious mother earth as part of the local NGO.
- To encourage Leos to support LCI program: Plant a million tree arounf the world in thier local community to create environmental awareness.

80% Reconnection and Reactivation of Leo Clubs
- There is approx. 30% had registered with LCI that has not active for years.
- Re-activate and guide the Leo Clubs who have deactivated for a period of time.

Spotlight on Children
- Children are the future leaders of the world. As a part of the largest youth service organizations of the world, we encourage all Leo Clubs to actively support and bring hope to the children in need and enrich the lives of children in any adverse circumstance.

Last but not least, your vote means a lot me and my 2 DVPs candidate. Remember, vote Leo Ch'ng Kok Sheng as the next District President! 1 District 1 Heart, together we BELIEVE, together we BREAKTHROUGH and together we EXCEL!
