Lok Lok Padang Brown + Pasar Ramadhan Tanjung Bungah

I have no idea why I suddently craving food after work on Merdeka Day! I drove the car all the way down to town to pick up minxiang and himkeat and started our food hunting journey at around 5pm. We had no idea where to dine for my lunch and thier high tea :) We passed by Padang Brown and we just stopped by at the food court next to the Padang Brown (Dato Keramat/ Anson Road). I have been craving Lok Lok for sometime and finally my "dream" comes true! Yes, we're not only have Lok Lok but I also ordered POPIAH, Cheh Hu too! In love with the peanut sauce! GREAT! the saurce is very important for Lok Lok. You definitely will not enjoy it to the fullest if the saurce is not tasty. by the way, Lok Lok refers to a bamboo stick that attahced with fresh food that cook in the boiling water. After the food is cooked, dip it with the saurce and EAT it! Popiah and Cheh Hu are also one of the recommendations in this food court! Nice!

I was not so east to satisfy. Since it was a public holiday and I was free in the evening, i continue my food hunting! :P I know i have gained weight! But what to do? when you have appetite to eat, just EAT! our next station was Pasar Ramadhan! I never been to that and try the authentic malay food before! We googled and finally we were at Pasar Ramadhan Tanjung Bungah! haha~ Look at the picture! Not much right? Will look for more before Raya! :P

District 308 B2 Penang Leos are Making A Difference

We've celebrated 40 Years Leo Service in Malaysia with our own style that we called it the M.A.D Celebration, which stands for Making a Difference! Traditionally, this kind of celebration was organised in a centralized location with expensive dinners, having a concert or parade. However, the Leo Clubs in Distrct 308 B2 decided to bring this celebration back to mother nature. There were 45 Leo Clubs in District 308 B2, Malaysia organizing eco-based projects in their school, at a community park or recreational area. In Penang itself, we have 6 main Leo Clubs supporting this M.A.D. Celebration on 28 and 29 August 2010. Job well done to Leo Club of PCGHS, Tanjung Penang, Tanjung Putra, Geogetown Central, George Town Mutiara and Penang (City) for taking up the initiative to organise various type of eco based projects in Penang Island, Region 1. Not forgetting those Leo Clubs that had rendered their helping hands towards these 6 Clubs: Leo Club of CLHS, CDK, UHS and CHCHS. Happy 40 Years Anniversary in Malaysia to all Leos!!

Let's share some pictures of my last trip to Hong Kong. For those who followed my twitter/ FB before, I had been to Hong Kong twice in a month, back in May 2010. This post is all about my 2nd trip rather than the 1st one due to all my 1st trip pictures were saved in Desktop PC and the monitor is RIP now. That's why, I won't be able to get the 1st trip pictures until I replace a new monitor. Money again! I have been spending a lot these few months. Seriously, i need to control on my spending or else i will annouce bankrupcy very soon. :) For my 2nd trip, I managed to visit Stanley Bay together with JunWei. Another Tourist Attraction in Hong Kong where you need more than half an hour from central to reach the destination, southeastern part of Hong Kong. It looks like our Penang QE2. Lots of couples were there for wedding shooting. By the way, I dropped my STITCH Key Chain @ Stanley Bay. My little STITCH accidentally dropped from my backpack into the sea while I helped JunWei to take a picture! SO SO SO SAD! HKD 80 gone!

Of Course, other than stanley bay, we do visited a lot of places. Che Kong Temple in Sha Tin was one of them. Actually, i had visited during my very 1st time in Hong Kong back in year 2008 together with Min Xiang, Tee Jin, Stanley, Royblin and Jonathan but I didn't manage to blog those pictures. Lazy! :) Even my 1st vacation in 2010 to Taiwan, I also didnt blog about it eventhough i had collected and jot down a lot of infor but end up, those infor just like a rubbish :) Anyway, will try to post the pictures up in my blog! Again, alot of devotees and visitors in the temple. No matter when you visit, I'm sure the whole temple is crowded! It is a MUST visit temple in Hong Kong! Experience how the Hong Kong people praying to the god! Totally different from what Malaysian Chinese is practicing. Check it out! :P

It has been 3 months, i just manage to post this picture in my blog. We've organised a farewell dinner at Chicago Ribs House, Gurney Plaza for Sharon, our colleague. Everyone was enjoying the dinner served especially the pork RIBS! I shared a combo set: Lamb and Pork Ribs with another X-colleague, Seen Ying. Everything in the house was just nice and tasty. By comparing Chilis and Chicago Ribs House, i prefer to dine in Chicago Ribs House. Just a short post sharing ths collage in my blog! Cheer and do enjoy your dinner next time in this restaurant! :)

Financial Aid to Chai Yin Zhi and Low Chun Kong

Lions Club International District 308 B2 Leos are MAD...yes, they are MAD... are you tring to google what is the definition of MAD? mentally disturbed, crazy or insane? the MAD that we mean here is Making A Difference. The Leo Clubs in District 308 B2 are always making a difference. By looking at these 2 financial aid that we raised via facebook and donated to these two patients that are suffering from different diseases. Chai Yin Zhi, 8, suffering from profound sensory-neural hearing loss bilaterally received RM 2000 for her post surgery treatment- Speech theraphy whereas Low Chon Kong, 10, suffering from Thalassemia, an inherited autosomal recessive blood disease received RM 25,000 for her stem cells transplant in Taiwan. ASTOUDING AMOUNT that we raised in a week via facebook! What a great achievement by District 308 B2 Leo Clubs! With a call from District 308 B2 Leo Cabinet, all Leo Clubs responded to our call and started the donation drive in their respective schools and clubs to aid these 2 kids. I'm truly impressed! You are truly a beacon of hope to these two kids! Leo District 308 B2 Leo Cabinet would like to thank everyone of you who had contributed directly and indirectly in these 2 fund raising campaigns! you're awesome! Let's make a difference in your own local community! Keep the ball rolling! ROAR~

When we presented this to her, she was so happy. She even made her birthday wishes with daniel's balls. Typo again. I rephrase. Daniel's fishballs if I'm not mistaken! Look at her face. Union Leo Mud Balls Making Project and Che Tom Leo Installation

31 July 2010- After tuition class, I visited Leo Club of Union High School's Mud Ball Making Project. Frankly, I had a hard time to arrange myself on last Saturday. Luckily, I was able to make it and join the Leos for the Mud Ball Making @ School Canteen. Thanks for the invitation. After this, I joined Pei Chia and Corrinne for Lunck K @ Red Box before my next program on the list. It was really a packed scedule. No choice la... Busy also need to relax what. I had a fun time singing K with these 2 girls.

After Lunch, back home and change mysef into Leo Cabinet Uniform to attend Leo Club of SMK Che Tom's Installation. Thanks Him Keat for the ride. Yeng right? I dont even have a rest time other than in the car. We reached the Park Avenue Hotel quite early. The event started at 3+pm. I had a great fellowship with Region 2 Leo Clubs and nice meeting up once again with them. With me present in this Installation was DVP 2 Leo Steven Chew too. After the function, we headed back to Penang and rush to another event which is Goddess of Mercy's Parade at Than Siang Temple. :) Fantastic? That's my life... will slow down after 2 years! yeah.. counting down!

1st Leo Presentation- Leo Orientation and School for Leo President/ Leo Treasurer

Last Saturday morning, I've attended Leo Club of Chung Ling High School' AGM and conducted Leo Orientation for Leo Club of Han Chiang High School. I was not ready and prepared for the presentation, Luckily, everything went smoothly with the assistance from Leo Justin and support from R1 RCC for Leo, Ln. Ong Lai Peng. I was super worried as i need to present it in bilingual. I was like a teacher explaining words to words. haha.. I am ok to present what I prepared but not really ok with what others prepared. That's what I can say. If the sides done by me, I am sure I have no problem as I know what's next slide... Good try btw!

The next day, another presentation in RCC's Meeting. I was asked to conduct School for Leo President and Treasurer. Again, I do not have time to go through the slides. When i was about to present, i only realised that the power point file containing 60+ slides. I was like.. OMG! How to present wo? I never go though what is what... But due to time shortage, I just present whatever I think it is important. :) Again, I would say this is a sharing session between the senior and juniors rather than a workshop nor seminar. So thats my last Saturday and Sunday. Oh ya, i hosted Leo Justin over the weekend. Hope he had a pleasant stay in Penang!

I had an awesome birthday eve dinner at Fettes Park James Foo Western Food last Saturday! Thanks to those who had taken out thier time off to join me for the dinner. Luckily, I have made an early reservation for 2 tables or else I'm sure there would not be any empty tables for us. The whole restaurant was crowded at the time we arrived. Along the way down from Batu ferringhi, the traffic was congested too. That's why we were late. The dinner suppose to commence at 7pm but we only reach at 7.20pm. I'm Sorry to those who were there earlier than me. Let me cut short this post by saying THANK YOU once again to all my friends from far and near who had sent your birthday wishes to me thru SMS, FB, Twitter and even by calls from oversea. I may not reply one by one. Please accept my apology. You are always in my heart! Friends forever! I appreciated your greeting and birthday wishes so so much! Is Flickr-Hopping time. I've found this picture in Kenny+Kelvin's flickr. Another best shot I would like to share in my blog! It was took in the recent Leo Forum in Ipoh by Kelvin Seow. The big family of Region 1 Penang Leos ..Woo~

No doubt, it was a wonderful year under the supervision of Regional Committee Chairperson for Leo Clubs, Region, Lion Ong Lai Peng. All Leo clubs are united as one. This can be clearly shown through their achievement. They've successfully won 50% of TOP awards in the recent annual Leo Award Presentation. Cool and I personally hope that not only Penang Leo Clubs will continue the legacy and commitment but the rest of the Leo Clubs in District 308 B2 too.

Today marks another new chapter in my Leo Journey. To all new BOD, good luck and all the best. Hope to see more and more creative and innovative projects coming up in this brand new fiscal year 2010-2011! Let's move towards my last campaign's slogan "1 District, 1 Heart- Together We Serve". Wooo, Sushi Sushi.. Yes, is sushi TIME! Friends of Foyi (Foyi Youth) has succesfully organised an outing last Sunday! This sushi making outing was arranged by my sexytary Jocelyn~ She is the girl behind the outing and my treasurer Min Xiang was the one who incharge to collect fee from the participants. I'm pleased to have both of you to manage and plan for this outing. Thank you from your chairman and of course looking forward to have more outings up . By teh way, this outing was participated by 15 students from Foyi Sunday School and 35 friends of foyi. In summary, we have 50 pax registered for this sushi making class @ sushi king prangin mall. Fallen Stars Project- Penang Lions and Leo Chairty Dinner held on 5th of June at Han Chiang High School's Stadium was carried out successfully with the assistance and support from all members, friends, donors and sponsors. This charity dinner was jointly organised by the Lions Club of Penang (Host), NCLC of Penang Island, Leo Club of Penang (City), Leo Club of Chung Ling High School and Leo Club of Convent Datuk Keramat.

This dinner was meant to fulfil the wishes and dreams of the Leo President of Chung Ling High School, Late Jason Ch'ng and his 2 members who were also the committee members to his long planned fund raising project- Brendon and YiZhang. With the tremendous support and contribution have allowed us to raise an astounding RM 15, 000. cool right?

YB Koay Teng Hai was the guest of honour for the dinner whereas DG Choong Kwei Looi was the special guest. I was one of the ribbon cutting VVIPs and also the organizing Treasurer representing New Century Lions Club of Penang Island where I'm the Hon. Treasurer 2009-2010. Not an easy task to be a charity dinner treasurer. That's what i can say. The charity dinner is not about charity only. We had planned a series of entertainment to keep our guests entertained. All performances were solely from either Lions/Leo Club members or the beneficiary party which is Fo Yi. We were glad to have all the volunteers to involve in the entertaiment. It was like a concert dinner! :)

On the same night as well, the organizing committee also celebrated the 10th Anniversary Celebration of Leo Club of Chung Ling High School. It was also another "pending" project that Jason suppose to do during his term. I would say this dinner was a "one stone kills two birds" event. :) Meaningful yet memorable night to everyone of us! :) Well done to all members who had rendered their support towards the dinner! I have done something different in this year 2010 MD Leo Forum in Ipoh! First time in the history, I spent RM 300+ for Leo Forum fellowship attire. OMG...1st time ever in the Leo History! The hat costs me RM 100+, the Stitch T Shirt costs me RM 80+...etc. In order to BLUE all, I bought EDC short for RM 130++ lol I'm crazy!!! Anyway, it was just for FUN! Yes, I'm running for 1st District Vice President, Leo District 308 B2 Cabinet, Malaysia. Currently, I'm holding the same position and will retain in the coming term. There are 3 positions that seeking the supports from Distruct 308 B2 Leo Clubs namely District President (DP), 1st District Vice President (DVP1) and 2nd District Vice President (DVP2). DP and DVP1 are seeking for endorsement whereas DVP2 is going for election.

There are two candidates namely Leo Steven Chew (Leo Club of Alor Star) and Leo Terence Lok (Leo Club of ACG Benevolent Unity) are going for election. These two candidates seek the votes from all the voting delegates. At our Sub-District 308Be Leo Forum, one of them will walk away as the new 2nd District Vice President.

Lions and Leo Charity Dinner on 5th of June 2010

Hi All, i am back to my blog! Missssss and I have alot to share but...just dont have the time to do so. Before I go any further, I hereby request your support towards this Charity Dinner. This is not only a simple charity dinner in aid of FOYI Dialysis Centre but is the matter of WISH! A respect, A tribute the most importantly is A WISH! Late Jason Ch'ng has a WISH during his term of office as President of Leo Club of Chung Ling High School. He wished to organize a BIG BIG fund raising Project which is Food and Fun fair in aid of the needy. However, he couldn't make it my himself. emo* As his friend, his senior... We had taken up this responsibility to Organize this Charity Dinner on 5th of June 2010, 7pm at Han Chiang High School Stadium! Therefore, I sincerelyhope that no matter you know Jason or not, consider getting one ticket from us for Charity for Foyi for Wish for Jason! We are running out of time.
