Purjebägit is a Helsinki based two-man-company that produces unique high quality bags made of recycled sail fabric. Now after a long time of testing and developing they are ready to launch their messenger bag. The bag is designed with professional help of our local bicycle couriers. We have earlier got our hands on their prototypes and I can tell you they’re light! Sail fabric is also durable, strong and water resistant and doesn’t it sound great? Flow Festival is the annual meeting point for the indie folks and of course the fences outside are coated by cool fixies and hip Pelagos. Great bands, great athmosphere! Friday to Sunday.

On Saturday 21st of August it’s time for the King of Fixed 2010. KRNKY will be supporting the competition of skill and power. More info coming later. Also the Bike Polo Cup 2010 will come to it’s final phase soon and the winners and losers will get what they earn.

It’s not easy to find a pair of BMX platform pedals with wide enough holes on sides for the pedal straps. We’ve been using NS Bikes’ Pancakes and Demolition’s plastic pedals earlier ourselves, but now we found an interesting new option and bought a pair of NS Bikes’ Aerials. They come in multiple color options and with loose ball or sealed bearing. Money-men can choose the lighter pro model. Contact your LBS for these parts and us for the Pedal Straps.

1. Insert the narrow straps through the pedal from axle side.

2. Pull the front strap through the wide and narrow metal loops. Tighten firmly but not too much. This here is the left pedal.

3. Pull the narrow front strap again through the both loops.

4. Return by going around the wide loop and through the narrow loop.

5. Pull the narrow front strap once more through both the narrow and the wide loops and you are half way done.

6. Tie the back strap the same way as the front one. The one in front should be a bit tighter to get the pedal strap to a nice angle to fit your shoe shape.

9. Down through both loops and you’re done it! Ride safe!

10. Insert the extra material back inside the pedal to keep them nice and clean.
