I'm under the dryer at the Hair Salon. Its such a beautiful day here in South Carolina.

Well, I was just thinking about the first round of the NBA Playoffs. Only 2 top seeds were upset. The Orlando Magic lost to the Atlanta Hawks and the San Antonio Spurs lost to the Memphis Grizzlies. The Boston Celtics was the only team to break out the brooms on their opponent.

I think that the first round had a lot of drama early on. Then, most of the top seeds started settling into their grooves. I can't wait to see what the second round brings.

Congratulations to teams that have moved on.
Chicago Bulls
Atlanta Hawks
Boston Celtics
Miami Heat
Los Angeles Lakers
Dallas Mavericks
Oklahoma City Thunder
Memphis Grizzlies

I have not chose a team to pull for. I hope round 2 has way more drama than round 1.

Until next time,
Kadprat
Published with Blogger-droid v1.6.8

I downloaded the Blogger-droid app to my phone. This is me trying it out to see how it works.

Congratulations to:

The NCAA Men's Champion: Connecticut Huskies

The NCAA Women's Champion: Texas A&M Aggies

I thought that Butler was going to make it a game in the Men's Final. It was almost as if they were tired. After a while, I had to stop watching the game because it became boring to me. I turned back in the final seconds because I love to see when the buzzer sounds, the trophy presentation, and the cutting of the nets. My favorite part is hearing "One Final Moment" and watching the highlights of the tournament. Even if I didn't watch the game, I would watch that.

To me, the women's game was more interesting and alot closer. At first, it seemed as if Notre Dame was going to give the game away. But, their star guard showed the world, on a national stage, what she was made of. I'm sure we will be hearing about her for years to come. Texas A&M was just not going to be denied. The ladies on both teams played their hearts out. But, the Lady Aggies jumped on the shoulders of their Woman in the paint and she did not disappoint. I watched that entire game and everything after the buzzer sounded. I love the fact that for the entire women's tournament ESPN played Nicki Minaj's "Fly". That was the perfect song.

Now, we are at the end of the NBA regular season. I have not chosen a team for The Playoffs this year. When it gets to the Finals, I pull for the East because I am from South Carolina. These early rounds are going to be interesting. I dont think that there is a clear cut favorite to win it all this year. Chicago does have the best record in the league. Can they win it all? They will have to get through the East. San Antonio is the top seed in the West. Can they win it all? I love the NBA PLAYOFFS!! I am not going to choose a team. I'm just going to watch and hope for great games.

Enjoy watching the games!

Until next time,
Kadprat
Published with Blogger-droid v1.6.8

I really want to see what #11 VCU is going to do against #8 Butler. These 2 teams have caused upsets and have helped to bust a lot of brackets this year. #4 Kentucky and #3 UCONN are the highest seeded teams left in the tournament. Wow!! Who would have thought that there would be no #1s and no #2s left? I sure did not. I was so glad that I did not participate in a bracket challenge after the first round. Now, I think that I would have been so much more disappointed if I had. I have been able to just sit back and watch the games without worrying about my bracket being killed.

I thought that Duke would make it to The Final Four. Boy, was I wrong! I missed their game against Arizona and I was shocked when I found out that they lost. I was also wrong about the Tarheels. The went further than I expect them to because in all of their early games, the did not get down by a lot in the first half. It was almost as if they were a different team in the NCAA tournament than they were in the ACC tournament. But, I was a little sad that their run came to an end in the Elite 8 against Kentucky.

So many of the games came down to the final shot. I can only hope that the last 3 games of the season are just as exciting. I will be watching.

On the flip side, the NCAA Women's tournament has #1s and #2s in The Final Four. Congrats to Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Stanford, and Connecticut. This is the time when I watch the women's tournament. The games in the Women's tournament are usually not as close as the games in the Men's tournament. I watch SportsCenter for updates throughout the early rounds of the Women's tournament. Then, when it gets to the Final Four, I make sure to watch the rest of the games. Not sure why, but I have always done this.

Texas A&M upset Baylor and Notre Dame surprised Tennessee (one of my favorite women's basketball teams). For the most part, Stanford and UCONN rolled through the tournament as expected. I would love to see both of these teams play each other in the Final game. I will not say which team I am pulling for more than the other. I will be watching all 3 of these games as well.

UCONN's Men and Women are in the Final Four again. Let's see what happens this year with both of these teams.
So many games are decided in the final seconds. Every team has a chance to win every game. Maybe I should change that. Almost every team has a chance to win every game.

This year there have been so many upsets during the first week of the NCAA Men's Tournament. It is so hard to tell who is going to win. Had I participated in a Bracket Challenge this year, my brackets would be so busted right now. I participated in a Tournament Challenge last year and my heart couldn't take it when the teams that I chose actually lost close games. This year, I decided to just sit back and watch. Boy, am I glad I did because the upsets this year are out of control!

People keep asking me who do I think is going to win. My first thought is I don't know. Then I say, Duke. I think that they have a really good chance of being the champions for the second year in a row. I would like to see North Carolina win. But, they have a tendency to get down by double digits in the first half and come back in the second half. That did not help them in the ACC finals against Duke and I think that may catch up with them eventually in this tournament. Florida State is also making an statement as a number 10 seed. I love my Tigers!! They won their first round game, but lost in the second round. I guess you can tell that I am an ACC girl.

1 number 1, 1 number 2, 2 number 3's, and 2 number 4's have already lost. It is going to be interesting to see what the this week brings. What ever it is it's going to be fun and exciting to watch!! I plan to be right in front of my television as it happens.

I have opinions on so many different topics and felt the need to find a place to put them out there. So, here I am!!

I love discussing sports, music, television, entertainment, and news. I am really sensitive about some subjects, but it is good to see what other people's opinions are whether they are positive or negative. I think that having this blog will allow me to be able to voice my feelings. Sometimes, I think that there are sides to stories that people do not think about or is not said.

When I was younger, I felt that my feelings did not matter, so I rarely voiced them. People saw me as being quiet. I just believed that if I kept my thoughts to myself, that would keep the peace. Now, that I am older, I think that I should be able to say what I feel. Sometimes, people want to argue with me about my opinion. But, hey, it is just my opinion. I am not saying that you are wrong. I am just looking at it a different way.

So, there you have it. A little bit about me and why I started this blog. As I get more into this, you will learn a little more about me and how I think about things and what goes on in the world. You may or may not agree with me, but it will be fun discussing the many different topics.

Welcome and happy blogging!!
